I'm a Zager Fan, My ZAD-20E is Awesome!
Love my Zager ZAD-20E... I'm a newbie to the guitar crowd, and had bought my first guitar about 18 months without really knowing what to get. My first purchase was a hybrid acoustic/electric. Beautiful Ibanez guitar, but not much in sound quality for the price. Now that I have a few chord shapes and strumming patterns under my belt and a solid set of callouses on my finger tips, I was ready for something that had a bigger sound without needing an amp. Been looking for the past month or so and was starting to think a used entry level Martin was the way to go. I almost pulled the trigger on a $1,000 purchase, and now I am glad I didn't. I came across Zager Guitars while hunting online but was a bit skeptical of buying something I could not try first. But then I came across an absolutely beautiful used Zager ZAD20-E, all Mahogany Dreadnought in a local store. These are a rare find as a used guitar in a small town store, and I think I know why. For one thing, Zager only sells direct to the public which is why Zager Guitars are so affordable compared to Taylor and Martins. Secondly, Zagers are such a great value and beautiful guitar, that owners don't want to give them up for anything. By this point I had picked up and played dozens of guitars but hadn't found anything that I could afford that felt like it was a value for the price tag. This ZAD20-E changed that. It is awesome! Beautifully crafted, extremely playable, and a full body sound that blows away anything else that I tried up to 3x's the price. More than just the guitar, the Zager experience that Dennis Jr. And his dad provide is spot on and exactly matches up to what dozens of reviews I read say about their character and customer service. I have had half a dozen emails back and forth with Dennis for advice on a guitar that I didn't even buy from him. I love my ZAD-20E, but will not hesitate to buy my next one directly from them when I am ready to trade up again. The ZAD-80 is looking really great as my next one

Most Excellent and for good reasons!
I'm a larger man (including my hands) and I've played guitar for many decades. I have an African mahogany Martin that keeps sounding better and better and I love it, HOWEVER: As I age, I realized that the Martin's neck, although standard, is too narrow for my big, old, well-used hands. I've been choosing my less desirable nylon string guitars because of their wider necks. I often prefer finger style. I MISSED PLAYING MY STEEL STRING MARTIN which has a "standard" nut width because I'm UNABLE to play many of my favorite songs on the beautiful sounding Martin. I discovered that 3/16 of an inch makes all the difference by playing a hybrid width nylon string guitar. My search for a steel string wider nut replacement guitar, with solid body and reasonable price was unsuccessful, until:

Seeing a share on Facebook, I became aware of Zager and made inquiries (the family responded promptly, even on the weekend). I looked at the comparison video. I was pleased to see that Zager Guitars had a solid body African Mahogany guitar ready to go. I bought it and it arrived in the dead of winter in perfect condition! My nervousness about buying a guitar was calmed by the return policy which would have included shipping.

I've got a music mojo boost, with a solid body guitar more than reasonably priced! So far everything I've tried to play, finger style or not, up the neck or not, is playable on my new Zager.

Probably not a negative, but I expected the mahogany to have a less shiny appearance, but everyone agrees it looks and sounds great. I'm sure the cedar and spruce appearance would have been as expected. The grain on mine looks outstanding and with the solid body, I get to play it into even better sound!

Everything is as represented. I'M SURE THAT 3/16 of an inch at the nut made all the difference! The thin neck, solid feel and other features are perfect and as represented.

I may even begin using a pick again, as the unique pick (included) is easier to hold.

If you think this is bogus, I hereby give Zager authority to put us in touch!

A beautiful guitar at a fantastic price!
I rarely (almost never) post product reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to do so. A little background: I am two years into a battle against cancer, and an unfortunate side effect of my chemo treatments is that I now have a pretty bad case of neuropathy in my hands and feet. I was devastated when I realized that I could not play my instruments (banjo and guitar).

To overcome this, I signed up for online lessons with Jamie Andreas, following her "Principles of Correct Practice for Guitar". This method focuses on very rigorous training of the fingers, hands, and whole body to achieve proper form for playing any style of guitar. I was a couple of weeks into this training, using a very fine Whitebook dreadnaught guitar, and making slow but steady progress, when a friend suggested I take a look at Zager guitars.

I spent quite a bit of time on the Zager site reading the promo verbiage and reviews, and looking at all the photos. In my mind, I was holding onto quite a bit of skepticism. Zager makes a lot of promises about their products and service, some of which are a bit of a challenge to believe, especially given the relatively low prices of their guitars.

The "Easy Play" moniker, and all the talk about playability, the string spacing, low-profile neck design, low action, etc. was attractive to me in my situation, so I decided to take a chance and order the ZAD900CE model. I was relying on the money-back, shipping paid guarantee to assuage my buying fears. ("Buy a $2,000+ guitar without even holding and playing it? Are you frigging crazy?")

My first big surprise was that the box arrived in just a few days, much quicker than I expected. The guitar was well protected in its case and outer box, and when I opened the case it almost took my breath away. It is every bit as beautiful as it appeared on the website. I expected minor flaws in the inlays, the finish, and other details, compared to the expensive guitars I've played and owned, but I have to say, the craftsmanship is virtually flawless.

I immediately felt comfortable with the neck and action, and really love the satin finish on the neck. And another big surprise to me is the volume and tone - this thing is loud! The tone is bright and round, and I like it a lot.

In summation, Zager makes a lot of big promises, and I'm totally blown away by the extent to which those promises are fulfilled, and then some. I'm thrilled with this guitar!

Customer Service on Steroids!
I recently ordered a ZAD 50CE OEM and the last one in stock had been sold that day. After speaking with a live person at the facility in Nebraska, I went ahead and placed my order for a custom guitar that was to be built and shipped that week.

Several days later, I received an email from Dennis letting me know that Zager Guitars had had a leak in the holding area of the warehouse where my guitar was being prepared for shipping. The leak was caused by a faulty AC unit and my guitar was destroyed.

Denny provided a sincere apology, as nothing like this had ever happen before. He went on to offer to refund my original payment, including an additional $100 for my time and trouble.

If this weren't enough, he also offered the option, in lieu of a refund, to upgrade my purchase from a ZAD 50CE to a ZAD 80CE at NO ADDITIONAL COST to me. This was an upgrade of $800 from my original purchase price!

Of course I jumped on his offer and the ZAD 80CE was shipped to me the same day. Again, if this wasn't enough to compensate me, when I received the guitar today, there was also a ton of extra's in the case including a ZAD custom strap, Capo, 4 sets of strings, custom picks, and a super cool Zager tee shirt that was actually my size (how did you do that Denny!)

If this isn't amazing customer service on Steroids, nothing is and I also got a world class guitar!

Now let me tell you about my guitar. The ZAD 80CE is a dream to play and sounds amazing. I am an amateur player and my wife ask "how did you get so good so fast" after hearing me play it today. It has rich, full tones and I don't have to play it hard to fill the room. Haha I think it even makes my singing sound better, if that's possible!

The workmanship and sound quality is also way better than the Martin's and Taylor's I have been trying out lately.

I also want to add that I am a real person and this is a real review and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and world class service I have received.

Thanks again Zager Guitars for the personalized service I received; you defiantly made a customer and friend for life! Tom Wray

ZAGERGUITAR.COM SHOPPING, ORDERING AND DELIVERY REVIEW
ZAGERGUITAR.COM was very user friendly. Product information listing and pictorials were very instrumental in shopping and decision making. Their videos were tremendous in seeing product performance and quality. I was able to make a decision to place an order because the videos were revealing enough to convince me of their quality and sound. Payment was simple enough and the offer of financing was great. I successfully was able to finance the cost. That was a Great offer availability. Furthermore, being left-handed and finding out that Zager Guitars have available their 900 series for immediate delivery pleased me to no end... finally, I can get a top end guitar without waiting months or settling for a lower model or not get one at all because that guitar company doesn't make them for leftys---this happened twice to me. So, thank you ZAGERGUITAR for your consideration for leftys. When it got my ZAGERGUITAR it was packaged nicely and the hard shell it came in was protective and had a digital humidity measurement that was part of the case. I recommend to add to your order a dehumidifier for the guitar before it's delivered. The delivery was in two or three days, I was in disbelief. I waited 24hrs before I opened the case to allow the guitar to acclimate to my climate here in Cali. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND no matter where it's going). I've been practicing with it now for only a few days and still have other things to do with it before I can do a product review. It's a wonderful sounding guitar.

Parlor size African mahogany guitar
I received this guitar July 14 and am totally thrilled with the sound, quality, looks, comfortable size and perks. Let me give you some background. I received my first guitar at age 13. A little mahogany Harmony. I self taught myself cords and played for personal enjoyment and expression thru my teens and adulthood. I own a 12 string and a concert Fender but as time has passed had less time to play and now find myself retired and with arthritis I found when I tried to play I couldn't do it more than a short time. My first thought was to get a folk nylon string which I did but returned it in 3 days. Just didn't have the sound or feel for spending over $600. Searching more I came apon the Zager Guitars. I watched and read numerous videos and reviews and decided to go for it especially for the parlor mahogany one. There was a wait because Covid caused shipping delays. The people at Zager always responded quickly to my e-mails. I am so glad I didn't give up because the moment I picked it up and heard the rich sound I knew it was exactly what I wanted. Just like finding an old friend. It is simple but beautiful. The red wood reminds me of that first guitar. The size is very comfortable but not too small. Best of all it is comfortable to play longer. Just need to toughen up those fingertips!. Great perks. Tool to adjust action, strap, t shirt and a high end hard case with digital humidity indicator. Lots of support on their web site. This guitar is something I'll pass down to a grandchild some day.

Great Company and Amazing Guitars
I'd been looking at the Zager site for what felt like years before deciding to finally bite the bullet and get one of these things. The comparisons to much more expensive guitars was always compelling to me, as well as the whole Zager story, and so I finally picked one up.

Ordering experience was good, no issues processing the order on the website. I heard from Dennis once the guitar shipped, and received tracking information. I received the guitar on the day promised.

When I opened the box, the guitar was packed carefully and shipped in its own hard case. The case itself is beautiful, much better quality than I expected. With the Zager logo dented into the top of the case, making it look very sharp. The inside of the case is soft and hugs the guitar, protecting it, perfectly. I received a truss rod adjustment tool, a certificate of authenticity, and one of their custom picks (nice touches).

Now the guitar... the wood is amazingly beautiful and excellent quality. The build of this guitar is stunning and the action out of the box is just right. Even with a 3/4 scale neck, this thing is set up like an electric guitar, and easy to play! The resonance on this is amazing. I've owned a Baby Taylor and other small scale guitars in the past. None of them with that kind of resonance- the notes just sing out forever. The overall sound is excellent for a small-bodied guitar, not the sound of a full scale, but more than great for at home practice and playing with friends.

Overall value of everything I got was well worth the price. These guitars are more expensive than your standard "entry-level" guitar but much less expensive than the best out there, and yet it is closer to a higher end guitar. So, I'd say go for it if you've been watching videos on their website for while now.

Guitar is as Advertised!
I have been playing on my new ZAD20E for about 2 weeks and while I originally was somewhat skeptical that it would live up to its hype, I can say this guitar has exceeded my expectations in its playability and construction quality. When I received the guitar and took it out of the case, I was immediately impressed the overall quality. All I had to do was some minor tuning and it was ready to play. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and I have owned/played many guitars including Cordoba, Seagull, Larrivee, Martin and Taylor guitars. I can say this guitar is meticulously constructed and plays/sounds as well as or better than any of my other guitars. The woods used for the neck, back and sides are top quality materials with no flaws. The spruce top is very high quality due its straightness of grain, evenness of color and evenness of grain spacing. The intonation and harmonics are spot on and the fretboard/frets/string setup provides easy playing with absolutely no fret buzz over the entire range of the fretboard, which is impressive considering how low the strings are set! The string spacing is great for finger style playing while still being very good for chord strumming. The neck thickness and width is very comfortable especially if you have medium to smaller sized hands. The neck heel to body joinery is flawless and the neck to headstock scarf joint is perfect. The body bindings and rosette inlays were painstakingly set in the body with no gaps, ridges or fillers. The guitar finish (I don't know what type of finish Zager Guitars use) is light and does not interfere with the guitar sound. This attention to detail separates average guitars from the really good ones and this guitar fits into the really "good ones" category. The customer service is outstanding and very responsive to all of my questions. In summary, this is one heck of a guitar at any price!

Gorgeous Zager Travel Guitar A+
If you're reading this then you're like me. Before I even considered buying such an expensive item over the internet (sight unseen) I always read reviews and make sure that not only the company is legit, but that the product is high quality. After reading a few dozen reviews I thought, this company is amazing. Then I thought, wait, can all these reviews be for real? Well I'm really happy to report, I did buy a Zager guitar and YES all the reviews are completely real and on point!.

I purchased a Travel Size Solid African Mahogany Acoustic. I already have a full size guitar and wanted one I could just "play with" in the house or on vacay. The guitar arrived yesterday and I ended up playing it all night. She not only looks amazing, but she plays like heaven. The strings are easy on my finger tips and the sound is great!

Lastly, but most importantly, I just wanted to point our how kind and transparent the communication was with Dennis Jr. I emailed a couple of time to get an update on shipping and Dennis replied within the hour! He was always very informative. Not only did I get quick responses each time, but Dennis made me feel like he really cared about me as customer. This personal touch made me feel the authenticity and humanity of supporting a family owned and run company. I felt the human touch that is laking when I just purchase from a larger company. It was really refreshing... I didn't realize how much I actually missed the personal touch that someone can give you. I really can't recommend Zager Guitar's enough. I just got this guitar and I already want to get another one!

Exceeded my expectations
I recently purchased a Zager ZAD50ce. I wanted the 80ce but just wasn't in the cards for me. I got a message from Dennis telling me Zager Guitars were out of that model and my guitar ordered would not be available to ship until sometime in the next month. A week before this guitar was suppose to ship I got correspondence letting me know my guitar was shipping the next day. Now I am getting excited. I've been playing (some people would describe abusing) the guitar for 20 years. When I turned 50 I decided to learn. I've never owned a nice guitar so for my 70th birthday I ordered a Zager after many years of following Zager online convinced it was the way to go. My ZAD50ce arrived and to my disbelief there before my eyes in the Zager guitar case was a ZAD80ce. Excited and disappointed at the same time I picked it up and started playing. I was disappointed knowing I would or should contact Zager and let them know their error. Or would I? The next morning I composed an e-mail, reluctantly, to let Zager know of their mistake. Dennis quickly replied after confirming with his Dad that it was not a mistake. Dennis further explained that sometimes when a model is sold out his Dad will send the next model guitar up from the one ordered. Can you believe that? Holy crap! Okay, now I'm dancing around the house and for a 70 year old man, that is no pretty picture. I couldn't believe my luck. I've got a guitar of my dreams. And a beautiful guitar it is. Opening the Zager guitar box, all the details were not wasted on me, the twist of the plastic bag covering the case, the mirror like envelope with paperwork, signed tags etc. When I open the case for the first time I was delighted to see that top was cedar which was what I always wanted. As I held it in my hands, rotating the guitar I was awed by what I saw. The finish was beautiful. The wood was beautiful. The gold tuners were exceptional. Everything was as exactly how customers described Zager Guitars to be. Too excited, I stole a strap from another guitar, tuned the guitar which didn't take much, and started playing. The house lights reflected off the the inlaid abalone around the sound whole and body much like twinkling lights of a Christmas tree adding to the experience with this new guitar. The tone is louder than I expected from the thin body. Before it arrived I was contemplating returning it for a dreadnaught guitar as I like a full base. I am keeping this as the full sound of this guitar considerably better than my expectations.
Lets talk about the Zager guitar case. I love the design and the added feet rests (those knobby things on the bottom and sides of the case) are on three sides so you can lay it flat or on it's side or on end with protection. Very nice feature.
I apologize for my rambling and sometimes corniness but I couldn't be happier with my Zager ZAD80ce.
To Denny and Dennis Jr., thank you for exceeding my expectations with the upgraded model ZAD80ce, the high quality of this instrument and for your remarkable company integrity.

Great Company, Great Guitar, & Great Service
Who says that learning to play a guitar has to be difficult. "No Pain, No Gain", may work in exercising, however, it does not have to be the case when learning to play guitar. For many years I have been tempted to learn to play the guitar, but I was reluctant because of the difficulty of learning on most guitars. After spending countless hours and weeks researching the different and many guitars available on the marketplace, I decided to purchase a Zager guitar.
The more that I thought about it, it was an easy decision to make. As far as I know, there is not another guitar company that offers a money back guarantee, and covers all shipping costs. However, that was not my only concern. I wanted to buy a guitar that I would be happy with for years to come. Zager guitar has given me everything that I was looking for in a guitar. The guitar is designed to improve playability and it is truly a work of art. The craftsmanship is on par with the most expensive guitars available, and the tone is warm and powerful. I purchased one of the Orchestra models, and I couldn't be happier.
Zager Guitars, in my opinion is a company that prides its self on customer satisfaction and makes every effort to earn your business. Working with Dennis Jr., was a pleasure. He has a customer first attitude, answered all of my questions and concerns, and always made me feel as a valued customer. I do not know of another guitar manufacturer or retailer that gives you an opportunity to directly communicate with the people that design, develop, manufacture, and stand by their guitars with the guarantee that Zager guitars offers.

Great guitar and exceptional service
At age 48 and with the looming coronavirus crisis I decided to reacquaint myself with guitar. I had a Big Baby Taylor hanging on the wall but rarely played more than a few strums and my fingers were sore (no calluses) within 15 minutes when I tried. So I bought an electric and thoroughly enjoyed checking out the various online and game style lessons (Yousician, Ampled, etc). The more I played the more I gravitated back to the feel and sound of the acoustic. Bought a 1930's Regal Parlor for slide, then a Yamaha CSF3M (after trying the GS mini, bought "Lower end" Martin DX1, Taylor 114ce, and ultimately went to look at a used Ovation and the seller had a vintage Guild D50 Bluegrass Special. WOW what a difference. I began my quest for a guitar that sounded magical but my other priority was one that played easily. The Martin was murder on my fingers, the Taylor not much better, and while the Guild was fabulous I thought the strings were a bit crowded for me. I kept seeing Zager pop up on my Facebook feed, reached out to the company, reached Dennis' brother, conversed with Dennis Jr by email and bit the bullet fully assured that I could try their guitar at no cost to me should I choose to return it. I went big (for me), with the ZAG900MCE Aura N. Got the guitar in (along with a bunch of included goodies), eagerly sat to check it out, and didn't put it down for over an hour. It's beautiful. Sounds beautiful. Plays like butter. Even sounds great plugged in to a fender hot rod amp. Sounds delicate and twinkle with light strumming, or big and bold when you dig in.

Still, I'm a natural skeptic, so I headed immediately after playing there Zager to Guitar Center, where I had my eye on a beautiful 1966 Gibson Hummingbird and a new Martin D-28. Played or at least strummed the 7 best guitars on the rack (2 Martin, 2 Gibson, 2 Taylor, one Breedlove) and NONE sounded or felt as good as the Zager, except the old hummingbird which was its equal in sound except a minor issue with the low E string, and which was 40% more expensive. Throughout the experience, I've emailed several questions about the guitar (shipping, warranty transferability, login to the lesson program, parlor guitar, etc) and Dennis Jr answered every email within minutes, even this weekend. Amazing job on the service end, so far. In less than two weeks, I've been more impressed with the overall service response than with any other company I've dealt with in years. Haven't begun to tune into the Included lesson vault yet, but I'm excited to do so.

I've read the many "hater" reviews and simply can't fathom why folks with no or little skin in the game are so invested in such negativity, except that this phenomena happens to me, too, in my business with manufacturing long golf clubs for tall people. But... there were plenty of reviews like the one I'm typing here, too - overwhelmingly positive, complimentary of a truly exceptional service experience (which is a significant part of the), and remindful that it the Zager family let's you buy and try their guitars at literally no risk, as Zager Guitars will pay return shipping if you decide not to keep the guitar. But I'll be keeping mine and have nothing but positive things to say so far

Zager helping pass on music to multiple generations in my family
Hi Dennis, I am writing to you for a couple reasons. The biggest reason is to let you know just how excited I am that my 15 year old son has essentially claimed my 2013 Zager and is practicing for hours on end. Listen, I know you hear this daily, but I have always considered my Zager guitar to be among my finer works of art in my home. Now, I don't play very well at all due to my severe arthritis following a terrible (and in any ways life changing) motorcycle accident for which I am now officially disabled. But enough about me. To see my son cherish this Zager guitar in the way I do makes my heart swell with pride. My son is just a beginner, but I believe as the folks at Zager, that you always try to get the finest guitar you can buy and not to buy a so called "beginner guitar " because there isn't such a thing. Its always been a dream of mine to sit down with my son and to play the guitar with him. And I've always dreamed of giving my son the very best that I can give him to help him find the joy in music. So, that part of my dream is fulfilled. So, that leaves me without a guitar. And let me tell you, I will only buy my next guitar from Zager, I assure you of that. In fact, I have my eye on one of your 900 series. One day, when I can afford another guitar, you can bet my first call will be to Zager. My personal hope is that I can still find one that Mr. Zager put his hand to building and to get his Signature on the back of the guitar. I'm hoping I can accomplish this sooner than later, because my son is growing up and I dont want to miss my chance at making music with him. Please give my thanks to Mr. Zager for his artful interpretation of the guitar. The sound quality is like magic as the chords come together and make those warm harmonic sounds.
Thank you, Mr. Zager for your contribution to the world of music. Blessings Galore!

Exceeds all expectations
Over my sixty-eight years, like many guitar players, I have purchased many six and twelve string guitars, (both high-end and lower-end) seeking "the one" that met my high standards of:
Quality Build- using the best tone woods and materials available,
Looks- no paint to hide blemishes and finished to enhance the natural wood beauty without detracting from the sound,
Sound- full spectrum of sound with excellent projection,
Playability- able to play for long periods of time without pain and fatigue.

I finally found "the one six string" when I purchased my Zager 900CE, which met all of my high standards and more. Unfortunately, Zager did not make a twelve string (which is my primary instrument) so my search for "the one twelve string" continued. I was ecstatic when I saw Zager had made six limited-edition twelve strings. I immediately sent Dennis an email to see if I could purchase one. It must have been my lucky day because he emailed back (very quick response) that he did indeed still have one available. I sent him back an email that I wanted it, and I am now the very proud owner of a Zager twelve string, I should have also bought a lottery ticket, (oh well, I still have something to dream about).

When I received the guitar it quickly became apparent that I had indeed found "the one twelve string guitar" that not only met my high standards, but exceeded them! When you get to my age, physically playing for hours at a time becomes more difficult. Now that I have the matching set of the Zager 900 series six and twelve string guitars, I can continue to play the rest of my life away, happy and content as can be.

Now I can sell all the other guitars and make my wife happy as well. LOL

Zager ZAD900 Intial Review
I just received my new Zager guitar today and I can honestly say I am very impressed to say the least. I have been looking at buying a new "higher end" guitar and have looked at all of the major brands to include Taylor's and Martins. Most of these guitars are priced from $3-7000. I can say that I'm glad I took a chance and ordered my Zager. First impressions with this guitar straight out of the box is that the fit and finish of this guitar is a 10 out of 10. I have look very closely at every square inch of this guitar and cannot find one single flaw in the craftsmanship and finish of this guitar. I stuck my tuner on the headstock and every string was still perfectly in tune straight out of the case. I was kind of scared of how the neck would feel due to the wider string spacing because I don't have long fingers or a lot of reach but it feels absolutely great. The fingering of cords and the feel of the neck in my hand is fantastic. Some of the cords that would sometimes buzz on other guitars no longer buzz. The finger pressure on this guitar to form cords is way less than other guitars I've played. I play mostly in the country and bluegrass style of playing and I wondered if this guitar would have the tone and depth that you need in a bluegrass guitar. The sound coming from this guitar in both the top and bottom end is spot on. There are not many guitars that you can feel in your stomach when you play but the power from this guitar vibrates into your stomach and chest when playing. I can't believe that all of this craftsmanship, tone and playability in a guitar can come at less than half the price of all of the other higher end guitars that I have considered. Anyone who is on the fence about buying one these Zager guitars all I can say is definitely buy it. You will not be disappointed. The customer service is second to none. Every question that I emailed to Dennis Jr. Was answered within 30 minutes, even on a Saturday. I am so glad I made this decision and didn't spend thousands more for what could have been less guitar than my Zager ZAD900. Thanks Dennis Sr. And Dennis Jr. For such an amazing guitar.

Zager Guitars: Great Value
Zager Guitars: A Great Value
A few years back I came across a Zager guitars and became intrigued. I knew nothing of the history of the Zager guitar which I know now of course. My guitar collection many of the major brands including a Taylor 914 CE and a Taylor 923 CE. I have never purchased a guitar online before, but as I had stated I was intrigued. I purchased an acoustic electric which I believe is solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Maple back insides. It came in a case that has a built-in humidity monitor. The packaging was impressive but what was really pleasing was when I started playing the guitar. It is so very easy to play. But that's not necessarily why I purchased it but it was a great surprise. But would stood out is the tone quality. It had a great combination of brightness, while retaining the true mellow gets subtle base tone quality. I do a lot of music writing and recording in quite a bit of performing. As the weeks went by suddenly I realized that the guitar I wanted to use on stage for my three hour on the average gigs was the Zager guitar, favoring it over the above mentioned Taylors, which were obviously thousands more expensive each than what I paid for the Zager. I highly recommend Zager guitars. The guitar is a workhorse and sounds every bit is good today after hundreds of hours playing on it then when I pulled it out of its well-designed case. You really cannot go wrong with a purchase of the Zager guitar of your choice. Thanks for reading.

A Cut above the Rest...
For 50-years I've played all types of string instruments, in all types of genres, with the guitar being my primary. I'm not a musician by trade although I still enjoy some jam sessions with friends. I've always had a challenge with getting the strings on an acoustic pressed down to the fret board without some effort.

I came about Zager Guitars by accident so I thought I'd give them a try. I just received a set of Zager Pillow Soft Guitar Strings and placed them on an inexpensive and hard to play guitar. All I can say is…OUTSTANDING! This guitar and player have come to life!

The quality of the strings, the clarity, the pure tone, the rich visual - (they're gold), the ease of play, the bendable ease, are just a few of the qualities that exist with these extraordinary strings. It's just a soft touch of the finger to meet the fingerboard and to gain incredible sound and tone. These strings resonate like no others and I'm able to play harmonics on this old acoustic!

I love that Zager Guitars is a family owned and run business, and that Zager Guitars respond personally to emails and phone calls. Dennis Zager has a genuine story to tell and he takes pride in their product and in their desire to take good care of their customers. I'm impressed with their understanding of the guitar and make those subtle yet so important build techniques in every one of their guitars. I really like buying direct from the owners and not from some guitar store.

Well…I'm sold. My order for a custom-built guitar by Zager will be placed in a couple of weeks. I will then have a product and support that stands above all others.

Well done Zager Guitars.

Beautiful guitar, amazing people
Guitar and model: Zager ZAD80CE Aura

Excellent Customer service. It was an incredible experience as a customer to feel valued, heard, and important, which is a rare occurrence with sellers these days. Every question was answered in a professional and timely manner by Dennis Zager Jr himself. Multiple financing options for those who need them. What impressed most me was a free upgrade that I was totally unaware of. I opened the box to a wonderful surprise. Also loved all the videos addressing so many guitar related stuff on the website. The guitar comes with a 30 day money back guarantee with no cost to the customer.

Product: The guitar came packaged very well. The case is excellent and lockable. Perfect fit for the guitar. The inbuilt humidity sensor is excellent. The case contained the guitar, certificate of authenticity, hand signed by Mr. Dennis Zager. The guitar itself is beautifully crafted with an excellent sound quality and amazing looks. The light cedar tone wood looks beautiful with the inlay pieces. The dark rosewood back and sides with the stripe down the back is beautiful. The wood grain is tastefully oriented. The Grover tuners are excellent. Dennis Zager's signature on the back is awesome. To top it all off is the lifetime warranty, which is excellent for a wonderfully crafted lifetime instrument like this.

The pick guard does not come installed but is in the case. The Zager website contains detailed video instructions on how to install the pick guard. Also the guitar comes with scratch resistant coating. It came with one carbon fiber pick on the tuner. Be careful when pulling the pick out from the tuning post so as to not pull the strings out (which happened to me).

Love my Zager!
I am an advanced beginner guitar player. I have been taking lessons for the past three years. I am not a great player, but I do enjoy the activity greatly and I am getting better. I am in my mid-40s and have been having issues with my fretting hand cramping after about 45-60 minutes of practice. I was looking for a guitar I could play longer without hand and wrist issues. I come across the Zager line of guitars online; and I am extremely happy I did.

After several days of research, reading countless online reviews, I went for it and ordered a guitar. I was nervous about ordering a $1200 guitar without playing it first, but the 100% money back guarantee and the fact that Zager would pay the shipping back if I did not like it convinced me to give it a shot.

I purchased the Zager ZAD50CE "OM" model. I could not be happier with my guitar. It looks amazing! The fit and finish is absolutely perfect! The quality of craftmanship is top shelf. The reviews are accurate, this is an extremely easy guitar to play. Whereas I usually had to stop playing after 45-60 minutes on my old guitar (due to hand and wrist pain), I played for almost 4 hours the first day I got my Zager. After all that time, no hand or wrist issues at all. The sound quality from my Zager is outstanding. I made my wife sit on the couch and close her eyes and I played my three guitars (2 I already had, plus the new Zager) in random order and asked her opinion about sound quality. The Zager won hands down!

I also like the Zager Easy Play strings. I put a pair on my original acoustic, and it made it much easier to play and sounded great.

Overall, the guitar is excellent, and the customer service has been fantastic.

Perfect Guitar
Zager
I ordered my guitar (ZAD50CE/N) November 6,2020. It arrived December 12,2020. I haven't been able to put it down. I had a Gibson SJ150 previously. It was an okay sounding guitar, warm tones, and the electronics were okay. It doesn't compare to the ZAD50CE/N I purchased from Zager. The guitar is rich sounding and very bright. With the slightly wider neck I was concerned it would be hard to play. Not an issue. In fact it's easier because I'm not cramming my hand on the fret broad and all notes come through even on a B flat bar chord first position. The neck is so easy to move up and down on and between the frets and easy play coated strings I don't have to press as hard to get a fully sounding bar chord or any other chord for that matter. As for the electronics, Zager Guitars are out of this world. I play through a Fender Acoustisonic 30 amp. It sounds fabulous. I get so much more sound and varying sound than the Gibson SJ150. Granted the electronics in the Gibson were basic, I haven't sounded this good in years. I'm 70 years old come March 2021 and I've been playing for 52 years. I was just about to give up until I read about Zager and how gents with the same issues I have (arthritis in the hands) got a whole new lease on their playing life with a Zager. Couldn't be more true. Finally the price of the guitar is the best. You buy from the manufacturer. No middle man jacking up the price. I got shipping and upgraded case included. Plus I got the bonus package with extra strings, strap, capo, tuner, and T-Shirt. The guitar has an excellent built in Fishman tuner, but it came with it. Finally the service is great. I emailed Dennis Jr. On Saturday morning as I had a couple of questions. I got an answer back in less than 30 minutes. Anytime I've asked a question or had a concern, I get a direct response within the day whether I call or email. The service is fantastic. The fact that there's a 100% money back guarantee is great. I won't need it. Love the guitar too much! If wondering about a Zager and whether the stories are true from real customers; they are. I'm a real customer and I can't say enough about my Zager guitar. Even encourage my Pastor to get one. His wife is surprising him for his birthday! Nice gift, eh?
