Poor quality, took too long, inept customer service reps
Where to begin. I ordered a pair of glasses in September 2020. The frames were too big for me so I returned them and ordered a different pair. Their policy is to apply the amount of the returned glasses to the new glasses, which is fine. Except Zenni Optical didn't do that and I was charged for both pairs. It took talking to two customer service reps and literally screaming on the phone for 20 minutes to get them to apply the credit for the first pair.
The replacement pair arrived about a month later, but the lenses had a very bad distortion which actually caused me to see arcs of light even whenI took them off. They agreed that the lenses were faulty and they said they would make me another pair. I should have insisted on a refund at that point, but their policy is only a 50% refund on a replacement pair... even if it is their mistake. Another month went by and I finally received the third pair. The quality of the lenses was so poor that everything looked grainy through them. They agreed to take them back again, so I returned them. It is now the middle of January and they just got back to me to tell me the glasses are just fine. I decided to just take the 50% refund this time because everything about dealing with Zenni was terrible and I just want to be done with them. Got a pair of glasses at Costco that only cost $25.00 more, have nice clear lenses and took about 8 days to receive.

Glasses are Great, Shipping Not the Best
Overall I was pleased with my experience with Zenni. The process to select and order glasses was easy and there were lots of great options. My glasses were of excellent quality and Zenni Optical fit and work great. Very happy with the product. The issue I ran into (and it's an important one) was with the USPS shipping service. Zenni advertises 14 days to receive your order after it is placed. In my case it was closer to 5 weeks. This is because Zenni uses USPS for shipping whose recent policy changes have led to very long shipping times and unreliable tracking.

I received notice from Zenni in a reasonable time that my order had shipped. But for several weeks after that the USPS tracking information did not update whatsoever. In other words my package sat at USPS and didn't move for several weeks. I will say that Zenni was responsive with regard to customer service on the matter. They addressed my concern about my shipment within 24 hours and had an answer for me in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, their answer was that USPS sometimes gets overwhelmed with too many shipments and simply can't update their tracking or keep up with promised ship times. Once your package gets caught in that shipping vortex Zenni says you have two options. You can cancel your order altogether or you can wait another week and hope the package gets delivered to you. If it doesn't arrive within that extra week you can notify Zenni that the package never showed up and Zenni will make you another pair of glasses. But then you are right back to waiting another 14 days for glasses and right back to using USPS shipping again. In the end my glasses finally arrived nearly 5 weeks ordering them. So my only criticism is that Zenni should find another shipping option besides USPS. USPS has been cut off at the knees by it's current man in charge and that has made them far and away the worst shipping option for online commerce. Outside of that, Zenni itself is awesome.

Good until you need customer service
Had my first bad experience with Zenni optical. I was an advocate for them for so long. I reordered glasses for my teenager. Same pair of glasses that her last ones were. The lenses, everything is the same. When we received the glasses you could hear the lenses jingle in the frames. You can hear them click when she bends over, moves her head, walks. I have worn glasses for 37 years and never had this problem before. UGH! Zenni Optical will not replace or fix them! I am not asking for free glasses or a refund, just a pair that is not embarrassing for my teenager to wear.
We have ordered about 8 pair of glasses from them. All with success. It is a shame they will lose my business for not repairing the faulty glasses they sent me. They are great to work with if they do the job right but if they screw up there is completely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

UPDATE
Zenni finally made it right.
I mailed the glasses back for inspection but they lost them(sent to wrong department).
They said they could replace them or give a store credit.
In the end I got what I asked for the first time. I did not want a freebie just a replacement. We got a pair of glasses where the lenses fit properly and my daughter didn't feel like a dork/embarrassed clinking every time she walked or moved her head.

Horrible quality, bad service--waste of money AND time
The sunglasses I ordered for a petite face were unusable. Horrible quality and the lenses were so dark I couldn't see though them. The frames were super flimsy, painful, and I couldn't leave them on for more than a minute since Zenni Optical were so uncomfortable. They look like they should be for a VERY very small child, even though they are advertised for petite women. After speaking with several customer representatives, they offered to refund me half of my money back... only after I shipped the glasses back for company inspection. Apparently the glasses met their "quality standards" and so I had the option to either get half my money back or use the money toward another pair. Given what I now know of their "standards of quality", I refuse to try a different pair. While the customer service agents are nice, they are bound by Zenni's ridiculous return policies. They also claim to have emailed me several times, which I never received. Please don't make my mistake, and just go with Warby Parker if you are looking for good glasses from an online site.

Best glasses I have ever had
I've ordered online through a different company before and all went good. So I decided to give Zenni a try. At the doctor's office, frames started at $300. Now I have not bought glasses in some time but after adding it all up with just normal single vision lenses, it was over $600! Nope.
I got my Rx and got online. Zenni has an incredible amount of frames, lenses and Zenni Optical can be mixed and matched (different lenses with different frames for example).
I placed my order for EXACTLY what I wanted, with lightweight frames, the Vision-Ease LifeRx changing tint and scratch and oil resistant lenses.
I received them 10 days after ordering which is outstanding as well as these came from California and I live in Florida.
I don't order glasses very often but if I have to do it again, this is definitely the way I'll go.
Also, if you have vision insurance as I do and they will cover up to 'X' amount, submit a claim form to your insurance company and there is a possibility of receiving your money back.
I saved my insurance company $280. They had no problem cutting me a check for $120 which was the total cost of my specs. Peace.

What happened to you!
I was so excited when I found Zenni. Everything was great! I've bought many a pair of glasses, some sunglasses too. Then something changed... Zenni Optical changed the way they did their prescriptions! My presecription I admit is odd, but once I put in the prescription before, the glasses arrived with no problem. THEN... when they changed providers (I guess) to make the prescriptions they were unable to do it. Online it would default to suggest Single Vision instead of Progressives like I wanted. Well at one point i spoke to a customer service rep and she suggested i just put my prescription in the box for additional comments. This worked!

HOWEVER, I tried to order another pair (mind you have bought many pairs) they sent me single vision! I sent them back and said "I wanted my prescription as it was last time" they said they would give me a store credit and I could reorder. I've sent them my prescription many times and they continue to ask me if I was sure i wanted this prescription when they received the glasses back! Then they sent me an email saying that if I don't reply to the email stating the NOs to be one number they would cancel my order. Well I responded, saying it was ok to use the NOs number they used previously and this email went unnoticed so they canceled my order again!

When i called to find out why it is taking over a month to get my glasses they said I never responded back to the email. I stated, first of all you questioned my prescription i gave you and tried to get me to buy single vision when i didn't want them, then they said, they can give me a refund of half my money back.

At this point i was done! I argued I wanted a full return and not money taken away because of something they dropped the ball on! Finally they refunded my money full price, but I must say this is one of the most disappointing reviews i've had to write.

Disappointed in Return/Inspection Process
I ordered 2 progressive glasses, same style, different color. One pair fit more snug than other but the prescription was done correctly.
One the other hand I had to return the other pair as the left lense was blurry vision and the right arm on the frame was going to break off and creaking noise assuming (this was the arm that had my phone number engraved on it) damage done when engraving.
Returned Jan 2 2022 right after receiving and arrived in California office Jan 10th but told 14 business days after Zenni Optical received them they would inspect them. After no word from Zenni enquired as time was close for inspection to be done, I was then told 14 business days after they received them back in China lab not the California headquarters. Why the slow process and nobody notifies of what's going on. I am only here for the winter)snowbird and they said if send a new pair will be sent to RV park where original order was sent, not to my home address. What a hassle. Obviously if one pair was done correctly and the other one wasn't, why the long wait for an inspection and notify customer of progress. Needs to be an online tracking system for return progress so customer knows what's going on without repeatedly contacting customer service.

I'm out of pocket badly with Zenni - BEWARE
What absolute rubbish Zenni are.

The glasses came to about $130 with a "sturdy" looking frame and some bells and whistles.

When Zenni Optical eventually arrived I couldn't see at all with them, gave me a terrible headache and couldn't get used to them at all. Prescription was entered correctly. Return policy is awful but they said they will refund me if they find it was their fault.

Due to the terribly long process to return them I ordered another pair with same prescription elsewhere and they were perfect. But Zenni, a month later said their's were correctly made, which can't be true otherwise beacuse I couldn't see at all through them. The process is not transparent and they say whatever they like of course. I have no option but take their word.

They offered me only 50% refund (and no shipping refund) or store credit which I won't use because I can't trust them. The sturdy frame also turned out to be flimsy.

What a rip off. And yes, came from China. Not only I didn't save any money, I'm terribly out of pocket with Zenni. These are nothing but scammers. This practice is illegal in my country.

Inexpensive Frames, Quality Lenses
I was surprised to see how good the glasses were given how inexpensive Zenni Optical are. I bought two pairs and had great communication from China (where they obviously make their products) even as China was shutdown with the coronavirus.

Two things:

1) SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTION. Lensabl messed up my order and then gaslit me. Zenni, on the other hand, when they weren't sure the prescription was as I'd listed, asked me to send the prescription and sent two perfect pairs of glasses. So don't just fill in the numbers on any of the websites -- upload your prescription. That said, Zenni seems to check on prescriptions.

2) I can't honestly say how quickly lenses will arrive. I think they take a long time -- but my experience was in February -- again during the onslaught of coronavirus -- so it took about a month from order to receipt. Still, it cost 50% of what I paid at Warby Parker so a little wait if you can do it, isn't horrible. The frames don't feel QUITE as sturdy at the Warby Parker frames I bought, but they are perfectly fine and I'm happy with both companies. The Zennis took longer to make but the Warby Parker glasses also took a while (as did the Lensabl lenses only).

Unlike Lensabl that messed up my prescription with a substandard product on my prescription with the CORRECT figures, Zenni's materials seem solid all around. Warby Parker's too -- just a bit more expensive than the others.

I'll buy from here again when I need new glasses.

Liars and scammers
Zenni will send you a totally wrong prescription and pretend Zenni Optical sent you the right one so they don't have to give you a full refund. They will lie to your face to save a few bucks. I got a pair that was a very small prescription change and I couldn't see a thing out of them, I felt so dizzy and sick to my stomach trying to see through them. I had my trusted local eye Dr. check the prescription and the pupilary distance was 4 full mm off. I sent them back after they lied about having a supervisor contact me (obviously never did) and then they lied and pretended the prescription was right, so they only gave me a 50% refund.

I can see they lied to other people and did this exact same thing to them to save a few bucks (check the other bad reviews on this website and others). I'm a creature of habit and would have kept buying from Zenni for years, but they lost a customer for life over $20. I have also told all of my friends and family to avoid them, which is also a loss of more than $20.

I sent the same exact prescription to Warby Parker and they were made perfectly. I'm very happy I no longer use Zenni.

Terrible customer service to loyal customers
After misplacing a pair of glasses during a move I ordered more - I found my glasses and as the new pair were still processing I reached out via email to request a cancellation. I was advised I can get 100% store credit or 50% refund. I chose the refund, even though I think I should have a full refund as it was still processing and also there was a notice that there would be delays for my order anyway but I just requested the refund. After somebody replied to me and I requested the refund Zenni Optical just disappeared, I sent several follow-up emails requesting confirmation of the refund which I never got. I went ahead and called Zenni only to find out that my order was on hold because they were quote waiting for my response. Not only did I respond I followed up with three other emails asking what the hell is going on why is nobody responding to me am I going to get my refund? Overall, incredibly poor customer service do not recommend Zenni; I purchased at least six pairs of glasses from them most of them came back feeling very cheap their customer service is terrible and I will not be using Zenni ever again.

Not the best fit for me
I like the look of the glasses. However I feel like the fit just isn't right. I was getting headaches from behind my ears so I got them adjusted at my eye doctor and I find myself still having some discomfort. I wish Zenni Optical were angled differently but when I angle them how I'd like them on my face, the arms are too high on my head and don't rest on my ears. They are uncomfortable when I lay on my side with them on when I'm watching TV, and I don't have that problem with my other classes. I also got the anti-fog lenses and cleaned them + used the activator cloth before I went to work and had to wear a mask all day. Glasses still fog up but there is a noticeable difference… for the first half of my shift. About 7 hours into my 13 hour shift my glasses started fogging up a lot more. I'm not sure if I should be taking the anti fog cloth with me and reapplying it throughout the day? I checked out the return policy and it seems you get a 50% store credit so I'd lose money if I returned these. So I'm just keeping them.

Broke in a month
My glasses became unhinged at around 2 weeks of me having them, and two weeks later, the entire arm fell off while I was on my way to class. As these were a pair of plastic frames, I realized that I should put more effort into maintaining them compared to other frames, so ever since receiving them, I was very careful. I got so many compliments and loved the frames until one day on my way to class the arm entirely fell off! I had to sit in class completely blind and looking stupid with only one arm on my frame. I reached out to customer support through their online chat, but no response. Finally, I decided to contact them directly via email. I explained my situation and Zenni Optical tell me to repurchase the frames! I was in shock. Im sure the frames are usually fine but this was a manufacturers defect that I failed to detect upon first receiving them. I replied to their email explaining this and have been completely ignored. I will not be repurchasing nor recommending this site to anyone I had to glue the frames back together myself because paying $50 for a pair of glasses was not enough to warrant proper customer service. From reading other reviews, this site is a hit or miss and it is up to you if you are willing to risk your money on a store who couldnt care less about you.

Horrible Customer Service
I echo many of the same reviews I have read since my experience, I sure wish I'd read them before using this company. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, first issues was shipping time. It literally took what seemed like forever for my order to arrive. Second complaint was that my sunglasses were bent due to the size case Zenni Optical were crammed in. I contacted customer service and started the refund process. The customer service representative told me I'd get a store credit when my glasses were scanned at the post office, that didn't prove to be true. I waited a week to follow up and while I was checking on that they tell me my return has made it back to the store and that my credit will be in my account in 24-48 hours. I didn't get my return in 48hrs so I contacted them again. This time I'm promised same day credit, still no credit! I just contacted them for the 4th time and was told I would have a credit in 24hrs. They literally just wear you down with all these lies. I would not recommend using this company! You get what you pay for, and in some cases you don't even get that once you return a damaged item and don't get your money back.

Look for the button to use your store credit
I got my second set of Zenni glasses when my prescription changed. When Zenni Optical arrived I could not see at a distance. I returned to my ophthalmologist who determined that they had given me the wrong prescription. I had a great interaction with the Zenni returns person, returned the glasses and received a store credit. One caution! If you have a store credit you must identify it as your method of payment when you check out. The "apply" button is not prominent and if you are using your account the payment method defaults to your credit card on file. I did not know this until the charge showed up on my credit card bill. At first the customer service rep said nothing could be done. I persuaded him to talk with his manager and after a 20 minute hold they credited my card. They did the right thing. They gave me a credit when it was not their fault that the prescription was wrong. I like their glasses. Just be sure to look for the store credit button when you check out if that is what you plan to use.

About a year ago I was looking for some inexpensive...
About a year ago I was looking for some inexpensive glasses after the coating from my last pair of glasses started rubbing off (after about 1 year). That pair of glasses was covered under my insurance and was free (and would have cost about $100 retail with no insurance). I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that a pair of glasses costing $100 would have its coating come off after 1 year. I would have gone back to the store but that store was in New York and I had moved back to California.

After going to Costco for my first attempt, I didn't find any cheap glasses (cheapest was about $100 a pair which did not qualify as inexpensive for me). I googled and found ZenniOptical and decided to try them out. I was able to choose 2 frames with good quality lenses for $70 total for both ($35 each) including shipping. What a great deal! I was very happy with both pairs when I received them in less than a week.

Only out of the ordinary thing I encountered was having to measure my own PD - pupillary distance -- which I accomplished with a mirror and piece of paper. Not very hard but just a tiny little hassle. Still well worth the time and money.

Quick shipment
I went to my regular optometrist and ordered glasses (very expensive). Because I wanted to keep the same frames to save on money, Zenni Optical said they would have to keep my glasses and they wouldn't be ready for 3 weeks. I was able to get sample daily contact lenses but only 5 and they did not have any more in stock (they would have to order more and didn't know how long that would take). How was I going to last 3 weeks without glasses? During covid so I wasn't driivng daily but still need to go to store and drive twice per week. My eyes aren't that bad but require glasses for driving to read signs at a distance. Decided to try Zenni Optical per advice from friend. Was a bit cautious but got 2 sets of glasses - one pair that was only for distance and one that were progressives like the ones ordered from the optometrist. Obviously they can't come overnight since they have to be made but they came rather quickly (about 2 weeks) which was sooner than I had expected. It was much easier experience than I had envisioned (no pun intended :). The progressives were 10x less expensive with frames than just the glasses I ordered from the optometrist. They even emailed me when they I had mistakenly put a different pupil distance for each of the glasses (guessed on one and measured the other). That saved me from wasting money. Excellent customer service! Would definitely order again and perhaps I will try the contact lenses next time around.

Terrible company to deal with
I read the return policy on this company before ordering. Zenni Optical stated if you cancel you receive 1/2 your money back on an order they might have started. It was the weekend and Monday Morning when they opened the had my cancellation email. That is fine I can live with 1/2 a refund on a pair on glasses. No where on the description did it state that it also includes any product that is coming with the order. Lost out on a proper refund on glasses case. I wouldn't deal with them again. Any reputable company would fully refund the product. I can live with the policy on the glasses, but a poor business on refunds to do with product when it will just go back into stock. I am sure my glasses order wouldn't have even been started yet, considering it was a Sunday. They could have refunded both given there was a Sunday in between. Update, company chose to refund the balance of the glasses case. I am satisfied to the resolution of what I was annoyed about. Would change it to a 3 star now.

My first experience in ordering prescription glasses
After seeing all the U-Tube videos on Zenni glasses, I thought I would order a pair of prescription glasses. I selected a frame, and provided all the information Zenni Optical wanted online. The next step was to send my prescription to Zenni via email. This, for some reason was blocked by Zenni. So I tried to contact customer service by email to tell them about this... and my emails (5) were all blocked... So I tried to call them, and the automated voice was not distiinct - so I waited to speak to a real person - but kept getting a busy signal. There was a "chat" available, and I tried that with no success as there was no way to send my comments back to them. Soo, the only thing left was to send them a letter by USPS to cancel the whole order. A week later, they informed me that my glasses have been sent - (non-prescription glasses). I called again and finally spoke to a real person, who said I must return the glasses to them, and they will refund me the complete cost, and he emailed me a return postage label. I did this and returned the glasses - but they later informed me I will be refunded much less than what I paid. This whole thing was a terrible experience, and I would NEVER order anything from Zenni again.

Tried Zenni for Four Years & Finally Gave Up on Chinese Glasses
For about 3 years I bought Zenni $25 titanium frames with progressive lenses. The titanium part of the frame was great, you could actually bend them without breaking. However, the nosepiece was made out of very brittle metal and would snap after just a few weeks, or sometimes just a few days, making their titanium frames less sturdy than $7 reading glasses you buy at Walmart. So in 2018 I decided to go to the $7 half-rim glasses, thinking if I'm going to be replacing frames all the time, I may as well buy cheaper frames. These were more sturdy than the titanium ones, but eventually I broke one of these frames and had them send me a new frame. After watching the replacement video, I tried popping the lenses out the way Zenni Optical say to but it's not possible - the lenses will break first. Which is what happened, I broke my good lenses trying to pop them out. The most recent problem I had is I had bought 2 extra pairs of these half-frame glasses (even though I still had a good pair), but did not notice until after the 30 day warranty was up that they had only sent me frames with blank (non-progressive lenses). After nearly an hour on the phone with support, the best they would offer is a 15% refund and would not even let me send the frames in to inspect. The last thing I'll say is the quality of their lenses is very poor. Their progressive lenses are very distorted and the plastic is brittle. The only good thing about your business model is being able to order online. But until the quality and customer service improves, I'll be buying somewhere else. So long Zenni.

Amazing service and quality products
I recently received the second pair of Zenni glasses that I have ordered. These are a pair of computer glasses with a little less correction than I would have for reading (+1.25), and Blokz lenses that filter out blue and ultraviolet light, with anti-reflective coating. The frames were really inexpensive. I bought them for my husband thinking he would not like the correction, and perhaps find the transparent lenses too "girly," so I was prepared to let him just try them for the anti-blue light filtering, and then I'd order a different pair for him and keep these for myself. To my surprise, he likes them! And I love them! So my next order is a no-brainer. I'll just get the same pair, adjusting the reading correction to be ever so slightly less powerful. For me, Zenni Optical are just perfect for all indoor wear. Soon my hubby and I will be "twinsies."

Customer service was great, just like for my first order. I cannot remember what issues I had when I first wanted to place the order, but I remember being on the phone with them really late at night, and they resolved the question. Honestly, they really produce quality glasses at literally a fraction of the price you'd pay at even Costco or Kaiser. And I love a lot of the "extras" they offer, for example the virtual try-on, and engraving your name on the staffs. Hopefully if I ever leave my glasses somewhere, the people who find it will notice that.

I don't have a photo to post, but I hope I can edit this review to add one later! They look awesome!

Unprofessional Customer Service
I ordered progressive lenses and cannot see out if them. The reading part is so tiny that I can't use it. I did the online chat and the representative was rude and condescending. I asked for him to send me a copy of our conversation, he said he would, I never received it. I explained to him that I have progressive lenses and do not have issues with them. He went on to tell me how progressive lenses work in a sarcastic way. I again told him I have had them for years and know how Zenni Optical work. I have single vision glasses that are great and I am satisfied with, it's the progressive pair.
I will be returning all five pair just because of the poor customer service. I would have kept the single vision glasses but not after the live chat. I will do business with another online company that backs its product and has professional customer service representatives.
How convenient I was disconnected before finishing our conversation and he never emailed me the transcript as promised. I'm glad I did get some screen shots promising me this.

COMPLETE FIASCO
My mom and I LOOOOOVED the frames we ordered from Zenni, Zenni Optical looked great, fit great and cost next to nothing. BUT! Everything else about our order was a disaster.

Between the two of us we ordered five pair of glasses: I ordered progressive sunglasses, progressive clear lenses and fixed distanced reading glasses. Mom ordered bifocal sunglasses and bifocal clear lenses. With the guidance of a customer service agent I placed the order for my three pairs at the end of March. Again with the guidance of customer service, I placed my mom's order a few weeks later.

What we eventually received three weeks after our respective orders were five pairs of glasses all with wildly incorrect lenses. FIVE PAIRS MADE INCORRECTLY out of a total of two separate orders and three different prescriptions all ordered with customer service help.

We sent the glasses back and the company confirmed all five pairs were made wrong: Five pairs, three different prescriptions and two separate orders placed two weeks apart which took three weeks each to receive. How can anything go that wrong?

Zenni arranged return shipping and took a week to tell us that indeed, all five pairs were made incorrectly. They offered my mom's order a full refund but offered my order a full refund less the shipping? Huh? That's where the situation sits for now. I will contact them and attempt to get my shipping covered too for an order made entirely wrong.

In the end, my summary is that Zenni's frames are gorgeous, their customer service mediocre and their prescription lense manufacturing deeply deeply flawed. Enter at your own risk.

First and Last time ordering from Zenni Optical
I placed an order on March 25th for a pair of glasses, I received an email on 4-1-2020 saying my glasses were on the way. I thought wow that was really quick, then I received an email with a USPS tracking number and it said I would receive my glasses by 4-5-2020. I was really excited to be getting my new glasses, well 4-5-2020 came and went and no glasses so I waited a until 4-10-2020 to reach out to customer service because I still had not received my glasses and there was no updates on the tracking number that I had been provided for USPS. At that time Zenni Optical said they were in route to me so I waited four more days and still no glasses. So on 4-14-2020 I reached out to customer service again and they said they would check into my order and someone would get back to me. On 4-16-2020 I got another email stating they were redoing my glasses and they would be on the way without any further delay; well it is 4-22-2020 and still no glasses and no signs that they are on the way either.

Never shopping with Zenni again!
I've been a customer for three years, ordering at least two pairs of prescription glasses a year-just for fun. Zenni Optical have a great selection and amazing prices. They used to have great customer service and stood behind their products. That all changed this year. *January 2019- I ordered a new pair of prescription glasses. This time the prescription in the right lens was incorrect. Sent it back and told it was Zenni's mistake. They made a new pair of prescription glasses with the same frame. Three months later, I received my replacement, but the left nose guard was missing. U contacted Zenni and was told they would send me a new nose guard. I received it in May, but couldn't put it on the wire nose prop. The plastic was stuck together. Contacted Zenni AGAIN. After trying all of the customer service person's hints on what to do, even though I told him it the tiny plastic nub was stuck together; leaving no room for it to slip onto the wire, his solution was for Zenni to ship me replacement frames. Then I would only have to pop out the lens from the broken frame and pop them into the new frames. I don't feel comfortable POPPING out prescription lens. At this point, I am frustrated! I ask if I can send the glasses back for a credit, so I can buy another pair of glasses with different frames. I'm told that I will only get 50% credit, because the second pair of glasses was partially paid for with credit Zenni gave me from the first pair of glasses that was badly made? I tried to talk to a supervisor, but no one wanted to help me. I gave up talking to a wall of indifference and decided to take off the remaining nose guard from the second pair of prescription glasses I received and wear them as back up glasses. PLUS, I'M NEVER ORDERING FROM ZENNI AGAIN. I don't know if they changed management at the beginning of 2019 or just stopped caring about customers. I promised them I would be telling everyone within the sound of my voice to never buy from Zenni from now one. Plus, I plan on using social media and GOOGLE to warn other people about their change of customer and quality service. SHAME ON ZENNI FOR TREATING A VALUED CUSTOMER SO POORLY!

Garbage quality and shady business practices
Zenni stays in business because Zenni Optical use the cheapest processes and materials available, and because even if they fail to deliver a correctly manufactured product, they refuse to refund more than 50% of your money. That's right! No matter how many times they screw up, they are guaranteed to pocket at least half the money you give them. They sent me two sets of glasses with defective lenses (the original pair and the replacement pair). I need glasses for work and for driving, and I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks for yet another replacement that may very well be defective and have to be sent back too, so asked for an RA number and a refund. Zenni outright refused to refund my purchase price. They wanted me to send the glasses back so that "their Quality Control lab" could test them for defects (?). Zenni doesn't have a "lab". Labs costs money to staff and operate, and there is no way that they go through the expense of testing their cheap returned glasses for defects, especially when the customer cant see out of them, so yeah, they probably ARE defective. They toss them in the garbage and give you a stock answer of either "Yes, they were defective and we will replace them" or "They weren't defective, but we will give you store credit." Either way, the outcome is the same but you are supposed to think that they actually did something. Never mind that I can't see with them regardless what this imaginary lab says. Also, if you want a refund, they will try every angle to convince you that this is somehow your fault. They know that most ophthalmologists don't write the pupillary distance on the prescription, so they will ask you how you came up with whatever number you gave them. If you say, "I measured it using the instructions on your website" they will tell you that this isn't REALLY the way you should measure your PD, that it needs to be done by an ophthalmologist, and that the PD is the most likely culprit. When I pointed out that an incorrect PD doesn't cause the problems I was experiencing, their customer service reps simply doubled-down on the PD as the cause. I got tired of dealing with their non-answers and refusal to refund my money. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company, and I encourage anyone else having problems with Zenni quality do the same. Or better yet, go to literally any other eyewear provider. You can't do worse than Zenni.

Good Quality, Great Value for My Money
I've never walked out of an in-network optometrist store without plunking down at least $350 for a new pair of eyeglasses, and that's WITH insurance coverage. I got really, really tired of it.

I'm a very proactive consumer/buyer and I aggressively researched whether there was any way to get eyeglasses more cheaply - and Presto! Thank you internet for all of the great info you provided on how to buy eyeglasses online. I did a ton of reading on the top online eyeglass companies and after comparing reviews, prices and frames, I decided to go with Zenni. I bought THREE pairs of Rx glasses: near vision/readers; mid-vision computer glasses and far vision/distance. The total cost to me for all three? $140. I got three pairs of prescription glasses for less than half the cost of what a single pair would cost me at brick-and-mortar retail optometry store.

I got my glasses surprisingly quickly after I placed my order and I am SUPER happy with them! All three pairs feel good with both fit and the prescription, I've been wearing them every day and haven't noticed any problems. So far, so good! I definitely recommend Zenni and would buy from them again.

Problem Progressives
I ordered glasses with a progressive Rx for my husband and I. Ordering was easy and we loved the wide selection of frames. Glasses arrived in a couple of weeks as promised. The frames are fine. Not as nice as more costly frames, but for what we paid Zenni Optical are fine. However, both of us are experiencing blurred vision when reading. After reading numerous reviews, I feel the real issue is how the progressive lenses are manufactured. Now that I've worn the glasses for most of the day it seems that the reader area is very small compared to my previous frames. My eyes have to search for the perfect location for reading. In addition we ordered the transitions add on so the lenses will darken in the sun. Even on a cloudy day they do not darken enough. I am hoping that we will both get used to the small reader section, as the return policy is not friendly. If you don't need progressive lenses and want very affordable glasses Zinni is a decent option but I will take my business elsewhere.

Absolutely wonderful!
I can't express how I feel about Zenni, but I'll try! This is a wonderful site with GREAT deals on prescription eyeglasses. Even my eye doctor was impressed with the quality of the lenses. I have been buying from them for several years now and every pair has been perfect. Even the "cheap" ones. Lately I have had a difficult prescription (for double vision) and Zenni filled it perfectly (there was a $10 extra charge but that was more than worth it!). The selection is huge and if you like rather quirky styles Zenni Optical even have those. My favorite, although I haven't had the courage to buy them, is a pair with one round and one square lens! But there are plenty of the more usual frames to pick from. Attractive glasses can be had for as little as $6.95 plus $4.99 shipping. And the shipping cost covers the entire order. Many of these styles might cost hundreds of dollars if bought from an eyeglass store. My glasses arrived in less than two weeks. This is custom work at a tiny price. By all means give them a try.

Nope - there are better places to buy and better customer service
I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from these people. The glasses were the sharpest at the bottom of the lens rather than in the center. Sent many emails to their customer service over a period of time - Zenni Optical assume that you entered your prescription wrong or some other information. Ultimately I dug out the prescription and sent that to them to show I was not at fault. Next they want you to return the glasses to them for a period of up to 2 weeks so they can "test" them. Not sure how they can test my eyes seeing through their glasses and determine anything at all. I see what I see when I wear them and they are not sharp where you need them to be. I should point out that I ordered the same glasses with the same RX from GlassesUSA - those I could see through correctly. They offered store credit but no refund and they did not offer to remanufacture them correctly - not trusting them after my exchanges I said no. Lesson learned here and I told them I would share my experience in hopes that others would avoid dealing with them and buy elsewhere.
