Alibris has a huge offer of used books at a convenient price. I have found here several difficult-to-find or expensive book which are in good conditions and perfectly useful.

Just one suggestion. It would be convenient to expand the payment options with, for example, Paypal or other non-credit based options.

You seem to carry links to the books for sale, but Alibris UK change randomly - one moment there will be a choice of 6 or 8 sellers, including some secondhand at very reasonable prices, the next moment there will just be one seller but repeated several times. A very erratic and frustrating experience!

There was something very odd in the payment area/card number - 1st card used message said number incorrect - which I corrected but it didn't refresh properly. After several attempts went back to the beginning and started again... frustrating as unable to completely edit all the fields hence starting from scratch

The website is very barebones. It feels like you tried to copy eBay's standard model but couldn't bring yourself to implement it fully for fear of having to change it so you just made it actively worse to use and worse to look at. It's like when you would copy your work off a friend in school and you couldn't use the words Alibris UK used even though those words are the ones that are necessary to get across the correct message so you just deliberately make yours slightly worse so as to show "Hey if I were to copy, I'd have copied it well and not made it look this bad" that way it's more believable. But this website is not equivalent in value to a copied piece of schoolwork because the copied essay on history at least will get all the correct points and may even get a B if they're lucky, the website however has no pass/fail and would most likely benefit greatly from having an original and engaging user interface bringing in more sales. But hey that's just me and hey you did ask so...

I found the process of placing the order a bit awkward. I was shipping to a different address from my billing address and I didn't find it intuitive and couldn't edit the address at one point when I wanted to and the usual clicking on the top left icon on a website to take you back to the home page didn't seem to take me back to the home page. The ordering process could be significantly improved.

Hello, When adding a book to the cart without entering my account and when entering the personal account it is no longer available. I imagine that the system saves the product in a non-existent basket without an account for 12 hours. Fortunately there was another copy at a similar price. Apart from this inconvenience, my buying experience will be good if the book arrives on time and in good condition. Thanks.

About 30% of the time on Alibris these days I order and then get a message that one of the books I've paid for isn't in stock. I've previously really liked the site, but it's starting to become really inconvenient. I'll do all I can to avoid Amazon, but having to rebuy and rebuy the same book (as I had to do four times to acquire the Handmaid's Tale) is a chore I'd rather do without.

The prices could include shipping when ordered in the listing. Arguably, the costs seem quite standard across sellers.
It would be amazing for the website to suggest books from other sellers to bundle shipments together.

So far so good, although I haven't received my product yet! Alibris is an easy site to navigate and I found what I wanted without any problems. However, it appears slightly dated in interface design, which made me slightly wonder how secure it was. I then landed on the payment page, which also didn't install me with secure confidence. However, fingers crossed everything will be OK. But that's my feedback.:-)

The interface feels outdated by about 20 years. I ran into technical issues twice and had to leave and come back. There should be a way of updating billing information on the main account page. I deleted an old address from my account page, only to have it show up again when I got to payment info.

I picked the wrong type of credit card when checking out, you deleted all the information and made me fill it in again. This was a pain in the arse. Literaally the only thing wrong was visa instead of mastercard, but you forced me to retype and recheck a 16 digit number. Utterly unnecessary

Admittedly an elderly publication but could not find a way to ensure a British bookseller, everything apart from one was in USA while I had the patience to search for alternatives. So I had to select the only UK seller I could find. I might have selected that one anyway, the thing is I could find no-one else or any way to skip all the USA entries - usually there is 'by country' filter, but that seemed to be missing also. ML

1. There was no opportunity to correct a mistake in the shipping address.

2. the billing address postcode would not accept letters only numbers.

3. I expected the 'review' stage to allow me to review and change anything that needed changing. But there seemed to be no Review stage, with opportunity to change anything.

Very poor shopping experience.

However, let us get the order; I'll see how well it arrives.

Your site refuses to accept the credit card which I normally use. There is nothing wrong with this card. I have had to find my secondary credit card, kept for transactions abroad, and use that. This has been very time wasting and massively irritating. Please remove whatever obstacle you have placed on my card.

Have bought from Alibris for some time now, the only time a book failed to arrive I was quickly refunded. Over several years only one book was not as described, it came from the USA and was in poor condition, it bore numerous stamps for Beverley Hills Public Library.; I suppose that does add character to it. Otherwise I have always found Alibris very reliable and I can usually find what I want on the site.

Excellent but only 3 stars because I DO NOT WISH MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO BE STORED. IT IS VERY WORRYING THAT ALIBRIS GIVES NO OPTION TO THE PURCHASER WHETHER Alibris UK WANT IT STORED OR NOT AND THAT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. It is no use saying your software is fantastic. I was hacked by a similar claiming company and had months of hell and nearly closed my Alibris account because you insist on storing my card info. I should not have to follow your advice to click on "forgot your password" to have the info deleted, and go through the hastle of creating a new password. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS REQUEST.

I had to insert security code of the cc more than once...
I was noticed about the delay of the delivery at the end of the transaction! I am going away in approx two weeks and I am not sure now if I can bring the bring the book with me... I was more than half an hour to open the account, search for the book/s for in the end not to do anything with it...!

I was disappointed not to be able to choose American Express or Paypal for payment.
I was disappointed not to have any evaluation for the delivery time.
I was disappointed not to be able to choose different options for delivery.

Also, I was not aware that the book would be coming from the US (which is fine with me). There is no mention on how Covid impacts deliveries outside of the UK. The wording you use seems like everyone is selling or importing books from/to the UK, but there exists trade outside of the UK. At least that's what I've heard:-)

I'm in the UK, just bought a book to come from the US. As usual, having checked out several other sellers in the US, Alibris is the cheapest for the book and postage because of the standard flat rate. Some other US sellers want more for the postage than the actual selling price. No wonder I keep coming back to Alibris!

I wish Alibris showed the shipping cost from the very beginning-- a store that has a lower price but higher shipping might not end up being the best option. Also, I wish there was a way to combine shipping. It always feels like a ripoff when I have multiple shipping charges from the same seller.
