Book Outlet

I have always loved shopping with book outlet. I always have my fingers crossed for my favourite author to be in stock, but always end up with a haul of books for my children. We have created our own library we love sharing with friends. I really wish book outlet also sold DIY library kits with stickers and log books, as it would be a fun touch to our collection and teach my kids how hard and rewarding it is to maintain a book collection and share them with friends.

Each order has a book or 2 that is totally unreadable (pages blurred, book upside down in binding. Hard to return or exchange. I am not very tech savvy and I don't know how to send pictures to show damage. For example, Design Sponge by Grace Bonney which I bought as a coffee table book came damaged as if it was dropped on all the corners. You can see the cardboard of the cover. Obviously I can, t use this as a coffee table book. I have to buy it again. Also sometimes tickets just get deleted without a response.

This is my first order! Hope I will get the books on time and good condition for my daughter's summer time. I found the site good and also wish that this site can add more books at low prices for parents. Only one thing I am not sure is there any free returns or not? Hope I don't have to return anything because I love the titles. Please put more description about books so parents can see how many pages and front and back pictures of books at least.

I wanted to make my purchase last night (Saturday, Dec. 25/21) but the payment field was buffering but not loading. I tried several times but I was not successful. The payment field was simply not loading! This morning, when I had the chance I went back ion line and this time the payment field was working. I placed my order but it was 10:10 so the two for one special had ended. Needless to say, I did not appreciate that the computer glitch cost meant my bill had gone up! So annoying!

I placed this order on my account for a friend who had a lot of trouble using your website. She created an account, put her items in the cart, filled out address and credit card info, etc. Every time she tried to "place the order" it said to verify her address. She had checked it as the default address. I tried helping her over the phone and we could not find a support number to call. She did try calling a number I found on the internet but she just got bounced around the voicemail. Anyway, if you have a suggestion how she can fix her issue, let me know.

I have been introduced to many new authors - new to me that is. I did like the first two visits when I clicked on the letter of the alphabet for an author's first name which is not there now. However I found it fairly easy to find books by new and past authors tonight and have noted the names of authors I will order next visit.

Thanks for providing an inexpensive way to do lots of reading. Now I cannot order for a while until I read some of my backlog.

I have been reading since I was a child, and especially during this pandemic, ordered so many books on-line. This was my first experience with Book Outlet. The process was smooth, fast, and easy. In all my years of reading, I don't remember buying a book for such a good price. And this book in particular, I have been looking for everywhere because it has been unavailable for some time. I am grateful for places like Book Outlet for helping a book lover not just get a book, but also for such an excellent price. Thank you! I will be back!

I'm wary of "new" store sites but with the Paypal option there was no risk, so I went for it. I was able to purchase 2 of the 3 books I sought. The books came super fast and I was pleasantly surprised to receive the large format instead of the small paperback. I'll not hesitate to order on here again! I did have to order one of the books of the 4 book Wilbur Smith set I wanted, from another site (not received yet lol) so not sure if selection will be an issue but for now 5 Stars.

Book Outlet always has the YA and Romance novels I'm looking for. Even new releases pop up on Book outlet fairly quickly and for insanely low prices. On-top of the already low prices it always feels like there are additional sales happening and I can support my book collecting obsession with out the guilt of breaking the bank. I even get extremely lucky with their graphic novels from time to time which are typically very expensive elsewhere. The books are always in excellent quality and arrive very fast. I always recommend Book Outlet to my friends

This transaction was fine - but I have been waiting days for a response from your company about how I can't get into my regular account through my home email - and because we have purchased 100s of books for ourselves and to give as gifts, we also have hundreds of points we can't access. I've left emails, voice messages, and even spoken to a company Mgr but it was back on Sunday a company rep said Book Outlet would look into it and crickets since - please look into it and get back to me

There is a wonderful selection of children`s books which I have given as awesome baby gifts and as Christmas- Birthday presents for the past few years since I discovered your company. My friends and family know of my incredible library that I have amassed for the last 50 years so I don`t need more but hey kids love, love, love to listen to all the songs, poems, rhymes and stories I can relate. I started at 12, being the go-to Auntie for games entertainment, crafts, songs and stories That was over forty-five years ago! All
those kids and great-kids tell me that coming to be with me was a highlight of their early lives. It is so heartbreaking that a lot of my younger work family do not know the stories and songs that my Mother had taught me. I had very wrongly assumed that everyone knows the stories I grew up with. As a kid our farming family only had a cool old radio cabinet that my Dad had converted into a multi-shelved bookcase to hold the precious few tomes we had treasured. Thank you for helping me to share my love for all books with so many people and helping to instill a passion for reading in children. Book Outlet will benefit academically, culturally and personally if they develop that thirst for knowledge and a love for reading.

Sorry, but I just don't like your new website. I find it very hard to sort through my Wishlist. Before I had it sorted into specific categories. For the life of me I can't find any of the paper products, or half the stuff I'm trying to find that I know is on the site. Also, the drop down menus keep dropping down and blocking my sight of the page. Searching author names only brings up some hits. Example: Karen Swan brings up none of her books. Swan, Karen brings up two. It's all very annoying compared to the old site :(

Since the pandemic started there has been no benefit to recommending your site to friends because Book Outlet won't be able to use the welcome coupon you send them since you always have sales on. This means that I don't get any points for recommending them even though they place orders because I told them about your site. Very frustrating; maybe you should give the person that recommends your site the points once you see that an order was placed from the email address they had you send the introductory offer to.

Of the many shopping 'trips' I have had with Book Outlet, today's was by far the best. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for. As a senior, just retired, I am trying to teach myself Spanish and piano. I know zero about reading music and played the violin VERY badly for 3 months at age 12. Today, I found books that will cover all this plus a workbook for Grade 6 curriculum. Wish me luck in all the pretend tests. Hoping that a lifetime of reading and working has netted a knowledge base higher than Grade 6!

For months now I've been reviewing all the book selections on bookoutlet.ca and I always "fill my basket" but never go through with a purchase... until recently. I got an offer in my email that seemed too good to pass up so I thought I'd do some early Christmas shopping. It was really interesting going through all the different sections and topics and I came up with some really great gift ideas as well as a few treats for myself. By the time all was said and done, I ended up with 23 books for only $112, wow! 7 books were free because of the current offer, Book Outlet arrived in good time, and all were in perfect condition. Lots of fun, easy shopping, great gifts, great site---highly recommend.

Was pleased to find the book I wanted at a great price. It arrived within one week. My only disappointment was that Metroland Delivery Service did not tell me when my order would arrive until the day of delivery and then the driver was not allowed to enter our apartment building. I don't know what would have happened if I was not in my apartment to answer the driver's telephone call. Would prefer to have Canada Post deliver my books, Book Outlet have a key to the building and can place orders in our mail box or parcel box. Deliveries by other carriers are delivered to our apt. Door.

I was looking for a mixology book for my new job. I went on google and this site came up first. First bonus is its a Canadian company! So I checked it out and I am so glad I did. Great prices and shipping cost was very reasonable it was $5 for my one book. Alot of sites charge way too much for shipping. And here if you spend $45 it's free shipping. I will definitely be ordering more. Also the checkout process and creating an account is super easy. And having PayPal as a payment option is an added bonus. Thanks Book outlet.ca

Very tedious and very confusing. Yesterday, I spent hours selecting books I "was" interested in and put 50+ in "save for later". That took hours and I ran out of time to place my order. Today, only a few showed up. I have no idea where the rest went. Today, I've spent hours again. I've put a few in "save for later" and HOPE Book Outlet are still there when I come back for them. I ONLY recommend Book Outlet if a person is looking for a specific author or title.

And I acknowledge that I enjoy shopping with you, and you are a Canadian store. I, as have probably noticed, have purchased many books from you. You are very affordable, as I am a 3rd year university student at Trent. My major is Political Studies but my subjects are as follows: Canadian Studies, Environmental Resources Science Studies, Gender Studies, History, Indigenous Studies, Indigenous Environmental Science Studies, International Development, Philosophy, and Politics.
You respond so quickly and aptly to my enquiries.

If you're looking for deals on books, hardcover, paperback, trade paperback and even library binding then this is the place. Books are overstock from other major booksellers, but are not used copies. Aside from a possibly occasional crimped corner or price sticker these books are in excellent condition. Each book has a small dot on one of the sides of paper to show that it's an overstocked title, but you wont see if when your books are shelved. Ideal for those who love hardcover books but don't want to pay upwards of $40 per title!
