Wrongfully quoted, and feel a little taken advantaged of
Sent in my brand new book i didn't use, quoted me one price and then when BooksRun received it changed to zero. When I emailed asking why, the answer I got was that ISBN numbers were for a hard cover and not a loose leaf and then i explain where to get tue correct ISBN but I used the correct one.
Even that would have been fine whatever, but then i have to pay to have it shipped back even though it wasn't a mistake made by me? Not ok and not good business. I'm already out 100 bucks for the brand new book itself and times are not easy right now. Won't be selling to this place or recommending this to any of my friends or classmates.

LOOKS LIKE A SCAM
On August 16,2021 I paid BooksRun to rent a book and promptly received an email that the book was mailed. BooksRun also sent me a fake tracking number. When I did not get the book in 4 days I checked to find that the tracking number **************57169) was for a package delivered to an address in LA (I live in TX). It was delivered in May (3 month BEFORE my order). I called the several time but nobody picks the phone. You cannot even leave a message. Email to them and online form also remained unanswered. I am buying the book from another vendor. Dont deal with them.

Thieves
BooksRun stole my money, and because I blogged about their shady business practices BooksRun are refusing to refund my money. They told me, "If I want my money back I have to remove all of the negative reviews I posted," say what? They stole 216.00 out of my account without adequate notification and when I rated their service and posted about it, saying they were thieves, they out right told me because I said that, I don't get my money back, WTF! So now they are confirming what I said they were, thieves by keeping my money. Now I have to dispute with my bank to get my money back from these crooks.

Selling Back
I must say that I was impressed by the quick response that I received from BooksRun in selling back my books. First, I had put in to sell some books and then found another book to sell and did what I needed to do. However, I did not know that I had to send the books according to how I had submitted the request and instead but them all in one box. Found out that it not how it's done because BooksRun sent reminders that one book had not been mailed. I emailed and explained what I did and they quickly responded to tell me that it had to be mailed separately, but that they would put the information in so that my book would still be accepted. Then I had not received the second check and wrote to let them know, they responded right away to explain the process, though I received the check the next day. I was grateful that each time I contacted them (Alex) I received a quick response. That was really appreciated.

NEVER ever sell books to Books.Run.com
NEVER ever sell your books with booksrun.com. I sent in a expensive book I used for 8 weeks max. I was initially quoted about $50 for my book as BooksRun were the highest payer... so I thought. I decided to go with them without reading any of the reviews too which now I see they run the old bait and switch program. They promise a great payout and then send you an email after getting the book and tell you it is worth less than half of what was quote but at your expense they will mail the book back. Heavy use was cited as a reason which wasn't even humanly possible. What an awful experience and then to only have a robot for a chat. Zero customer experience so it seems that BooksRun.com doesn't care that people truly can and will write a review about how they're getting ripped off! Ridiculous.

Scam Artists!
Do not sell to BooksRun.com. I unfortunately did not check reviews before doing business with them. I sold 7 books to them and was told I was getting $115. When I checked my PayPal I only received $42. I emailed to ask why and BooksRun said that the box showed up damaged and only two books made it to them?! They said they have full security and cameras and that it was not a fault on their end and to report it to UPS. When asked for proof they didn't receive the books they wouldn't send the video they said they had in their first email. 5 out of the 7 books I sold to them were brand new! After reading the reviews (don't trust this site look on yelp) it seems this is a normal thing for this company. This company needs prosecuted for thief and fraud!

BooksRun... Run the Other Way
There is a reason this company has a D- rating with the BBB. Just like Valore Books I believe this company is involved in a counterfeit textbook scam. Somehow the textbook I purchased brand new for $140, that was in pristine condition was immediately labeled counterfeit. I tried to pay the $8.95 to have the book shipped back to me, because I believe BooksRun will turn around and resell it. Unfortunately, their integrated payment processing for Paypal failed when I tried to pay to have the book returned. I have contacted customer service twice and have yet to hear back. I have notified the company where I purchased the textbook that BooksRun is claiming it's counterfeit. One of this companies is scamming students and I intend to find out which one.

Terrible Company!
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BOOKSRUN! BooksRun are the WORST company to do business with. I ordered a book a week before my class started with expedited shipping and it came two weeks later, a week after my class started. I have contacted them about returning the book and getting my money back on 3 separate occasions and they have yet to respond back to any emails. They also have no way to contact them except through email so it makes a challenge to get a hold of anyone! I finally had to order from Amazon in order to get my book for class! I will NEVER give business to this company ever again! Stay away! They are a scam!

BOOKSRUN IS THE BEST TEXTBOOK BUYBACK COMPANY, NO JOKE
I advice fellow parents and student to always use books run and here is why...
I have been using only booksrun for more than 3 years now and i have never had any reason to regret selling them books. Anytime i try a different buyback company i end up regretting it. Their customer service is always top notch as BooksRun handle any issues carefully.
BOOKSRUN IS NOT ONE OF THOSE BUYBACK COMPANY THAT RIP YOU OFF OR TAKE YOUR BOOKS WITHOUT PAYING YOU. TRY THEM TODAY AND I PROMISE YOU WOULD NOT REGRET IT. YOU CANT GET ANY OTHER BETTER COMPANY OTHER THAN BOOKSRUN. THEY WOULD ALWAYS KEEP TO THEIR SIDE OF THE DEAL. ITS BOOKSRUN OR NOTHING FOLKS!

If you have a quote subtract $10-$15 and thats what you get
If you have a quote subtract $10-$15 and thats what you'll get if you send them a pristine book. Mine was shrinkwrapped and accepted as "used/very good"... either their definition of new is #1 printed by the publisher -> booksrun or #2 impossibly high that nothing meets that definition. I'd sooner burn my text books then sell them to this shady business. I wouldn't be surprised if the copy that i sent them ("used/very good") isn't being sold as brand new. ***Disregard what "Matt" said about ignoring the bad reviewers saying that we send in junk. I can assure you i haven't and i can attest to what the others are saying regarding new books being marked down.***

Great customer service
I had the pleasure of using Booksrun's service this past semester to rent a casebook for law school. The rental arrived promptly, with plenty of updates along the way, and I had no problems with logistics. After my finals, I shipped out my rental, but received notification that I had been charged $15 as an extension fee (because while I'd shipped out the rental on time, it had not arrived back to Booksrun by the deadline). I contacted customer service to explain the situation and request a refund, provided proof of mailing, and was generously offered a refund on the condition that the rental arrive in its original condition. I recently received an update that the rental arrived in said condition, and that I should expect the refund in the near future. In addition to the automatic update, I also received a personal note from the customer service representative I'd been in contact with. Overall, this was honestly some of the best personalized customer service I've experienced with any business I've worked with. Thank you!

Response
Sorry I wrote a complaint last week and I emailed the company twice that day to let them know to cancel BooksRun said they will get back to me within 24 48 hours one or two days never got a reply back ever from this company and they still charge my car $49 to rent the book so when it arrived today the 31st of August and the postman came to me I just returned it back because I didn't need any more because my class already begun last weekend on Saturday they are the worst company customer service suck they are a scam please do not patronize this company they're not deserving the customer service is not deserving please do not buy or rent a book from here at the end I had to go through Amazon and buy the book.

Great experience - love my new book!
I was looking for a particular anthology to bring with me on a trip, and I procrastinated on finding one until the last minute. I preferred a used one (both for the price point and for personal reasons), and a quick look through listings for the anthology via Google suggested that BooksRun would have the best deal that could also arrive on time if I paid a little extra for shipping. I had a fantastic experience. The website was easy to navigate, the price was very reasonable ($11), and the cost of shipping so that I'd get the book within a week was only an extra $4. The condition stated was "Used - Very Good" and that proved to be true! The book came with very little wear and was completely unmarked inside, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was an easy, hassle-free, and satisfying experience for me with BooksRun.

Good Experience, Poor Description of Book on Website
I ordered a used book for my business management class and there was no indicator until AFTER I placed the order that the book I had ordered was the instructor's edition. After I placed the order, it then popped up on the screen that it was the instructor's edition I had ordered. I immediately canceled that order and re-ordered the regular student's edition of the book. Canceling was easy and I was not charged for that order. The book I did receive was correct and I received it timely. However, the canceling could have been avoided all together if the description of the book BEFORE I purchased it was accurate on the website.

Scammers
I sold back a Physics book for what I was told would be $31.10. When credited only $24.88, I immediately contacted BooksRun and asked for the original amount or the book back. BooksRun told me that the book wasn't in the condition indicated, which was completely false. What they didn't know was that I took pics of the book before I sent it in. When I provided the evidence that the book was in good condition, they completely stopped responding and have not provided the $6.22 difference. Why fight over such a small amount, you might ask? Because companies need to be held accountable for their unethical business practices. You don't get to keep my book and my money. Be careful where you sell your textbooks and always take pics before sending them in!

Don't do business with this company--their quote isn't credible
I sold them a textbook that was in pristine condition. BooksRun said that because it had very limited highlighting, it was worth $8 instead of $20 (even though it's a very highly valued textbook!) That's nonsense--I have sold many textbooks, and I know that if it has limited highlighting, it won't lower the value to buyers. They gave me the option of paying $9 to return it to them, but they valued the book at $8, so they tried to paint me into a corner but I'm not buying it. I had *many* other options for selling that textbook to toher venodors, so I will ask for my book back AND I will tell everyone I know--don't send them your textbook b/c they are CHEAPSKATES and they don't know the actual value of a used textbook. You shouldn't do business with them. Save yourself the same lesson--just don't send them your textbook!

Book buy back sucks
Make sure your books are completely new or you won't get any money for them. Originally I was selling two used college books which should have received $15. However, when BooksRun received the books they took pictures of "water damage" on the cover sheet it looked like but couldn't tell if that was pictures of the book I sent or not. The other book apparently had a different ISBN number but was the correct book. They gave me an updated quote of about $5 I could accept or decline this offer, to decline they will send books back but you have to pay for shipping which at that point isn't worth it so I got $5.

ABSOLUTE SCAM
I sold them a psychology book that I had never used before. Brand new, no marks or highlights. BooksRun quoted me $60. I sent it to them and they said that they will not give me any money because the book is "counterfit". I can give them $9 to send it back but I don't trust them enough to give them my credit card # so now they have a brand new book worth 100s of dollars for free. DO NOT SELL THEM YOUR BOOKS, IT IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY BOOKS FROM THEM, you're just supporting their scam as they profit off the books they steal.

Terrible company
I sold my text book to this company and I've had nothing but trouble. The company received my textbook and sent me a check for $75.09. I deposited the check and it was returned and I then received a fee ($12.00) from my bank. I have contacted the company multiple times (chat feature is just automated and no one answers the telephone) via email with little help. The company refuses to let me speak to a supervisor and keep telling me my bank is at fault. My bank states the check was returned because of error on Booksrun end. Due to this I am now out of $77.09.

Book Quality Better Than Indicated, Received Pretty Quickly
To be honest, this was the first time I ordered used books online and I did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the (used) book I received. The description suggested that it would be lightly used, so I expected some tears and scribbles. But the book I received was spotless. The book shipped the next day of placing the order and arrived within 7 days. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend Booksrun. Buy used books and prevent them from going to landfills!
