And I sent a photo of my credit card bill and transaction references from my credit card bank and the Creditor ID (dhgate used charging me). Sent to DHgate as a proof and they are pretending that they never double charged me after sending Ironclad evidence from my credit card bank they stopped replying from my emails not even a simple explanation
I Have been buying from dhgate since may of 2014 never had a problem from Sellers Now this company obviously trying to scam me.
Now im thinking why paypal leave them or dhgate take them off from payment options so they could scam a percentage of buyers all over the world.
UPDATE 10-5-17
I have received an email from DHgate just a week ago that they acknowledging the double charge after a many emails from them denying/making any reason for me to believe it.
If I had not contacted my credit card bank and asked them for help I might have to force to pay it. By the way my Bank filed for Arbitration this october to Dhgate Bank becasue theyre not being responsive to my emails and still wont acknowledge the double charge to my Credit Card bank as well.
My problem with Dhgate is the way they handle this matter. They blatantly deny being received the other $1070. 35 (the double charge) from the start, despite me providing them enough evidence of the double charged. Dhgate should at least do a thorough investigation that made me suspicious of DHGATE because as ive said ive been buying through the site for 3 years and the Dhgate ignoring my folow up emails for at least 3 months.
Eventhough they acknowledge it, the Damage is much more than the amount the Stress, probably hundred of hours making phone calls, emails, posting reviews etc.
Im an online seller this affected my sales for almost 4 months because of my new distrust of Wholesale Website even now m still struggling
Just a piece of advise who had a problem like me in Dhgate be smart and stuborn always pay via something that has leverage, becasue when problem occurs its always good to know you have some kind of insurance.
P.S. Even if the website isn't at fault it should be aware of the numerous amount of fraudulent companies its letting distribute poor products through their site. I checked the seller as well before purchasing and it has a 99% positive feed back with good reviews. So who ever is out there saying that its the customers who are at fault should keep to themselves because I DID do all the necessary research for my dress and do not appreciate being told its my fault that my order was wrong.
This site is a joke. About 1/3 of orders have problems - off-sizing, wrong patterns, and off-colors are common. Sellers' attitude is 'close enough', size L works for size M or XL. Red is close to orange or pink, and brown/tan is same as gold. Many listing photos are of genuine products but fakes are sent so photos are meaningless. Reviews are useless as sellers recycle positive reviews from past products by switching descriptions/photos and use multiple accounts so they 'burn' accounts with bad reviews. You can buy the same product twice from same seller and get two different products/sizes. It's like buying from fly-by-night street peddlers online.
Sellers standard response is to ignore you. They figure if you give up they keep your money and DHgate will never be notified. Half the time DHgate go along with this scam by siding with fraudulent sellers anyway.
This is DHgate's 'process' for various issues:
Got scammed? Don't worry DHgate here to help! Please contact the seller about getting scammed.
Seller ignoring you? Please contact the seller about ignoring you.
Seller won't refund? Please contact the seller and ask for refund (lol).
Seller went out of business and never shipped product? Please contact out of business seller about not shipping the product.
See DHgate so nice! We help you by asking buyer to contact seller!
Yes, every response is 'please contact the seller', even if you've exhausted weeks trying to contact seller. They 'help' you by telling you to deal with the seller directly yourself. Some help.
Customer service experience with a deadbeat seller:
1). DHgate ask you to contact seller (again), and wait a couple days.
2). Then DHgate ask you to file a refund, and wait a couple days.
3). Then DHgate claims since you have a refund request open they can't help, so you have to wait for seller to ignore request.
4). Then DHgate claims you have to cancel the refund request first. So you cancel, and wait for them to take action.
5). Then DHgate claims it's not beyond the 6 weeks shipping window yet, so you have to wait until that passes.
6). Then after shipping window passed, since you opened a refund request, the seller gets 3 more weeks to not ship the product (not mentioned before).
7). Then they blame you for canceling the refund request so you have to wait some more.
By now it's been 2 months with no action taken on the order by seller nor DHgate. Their process is to procrastinate, deflect, and wear you down so you give up on order.
Think dispute process protect you? The dispute process is for show and designed to trip up buyers. Sellers get 5+ days to ignore DHgate (after already ignoring you for weeks), but if buyers don't reply to a surprise middle of the night message sent in a separate part of the website within 24 hours, sellers win automatically (what they call a 'fair solution'). Yes, sellers get days/weeks to ignore buyers, but buyers have to respond IMMEDIATELY or else the case is closed, even for outright fraud. And this requirement/deadline is only disclosed in the surprise message. This is why so many disputes get closed randomly.
Oh you manage to beat their system and responded in time? They'll 'incorrect evidence submitted' fail you. You can only dispute ONE issue by with 4 photos only (AFTER you've ALREADY submitted 1MB photos to open the dispute) via Flash which doesn't work on many browsers. Multiple problems with multiple items? Too bad, pick one. You're not allowed to describe the problems (there's no form). The mediator, unfamiliar with the product, will not understand the problems (try telling a story via 4 photos to non-native English speaker) and close dispute for seller for 'incorrect evidence'.
Oh you manage to overcome those tricky steps? DHgate will pull their trump card - they'll accept 'for you', even if you refuse, a ridiculous resolution offer of a fraction of what you paid 'to save you trouble'.
Example of actual DHgate dispute:
Seller sent shirts with crooked patterns. Photo evidence submitted. Seller responded with photos of genuine shirt (not the cheap quality sent) and irrelevant shipping label with no explanations. DHgate decided you were disputing size instead (wtf?) so 'correct evidence' was not submitted and closed case for seller. Once they close a case DHgate will ignore you just like sellers. There no 'appeal' even when DHgate makes a dispute judgement error.
Arbitration example 2: Seller sent shirt two sizes off. Requested $19.97 full refund. Seller offered $14.70. DHgate arbitrated and decided a $9.70 refund (less than what seller offered) is sufficient compensation for useless shirt and waste of time and accepted refund for you.
Arbitration example 3: DHgate's offer to return defective products for full refund is accepted. Then they renege and 'advise' you not to pick that option (even though they offered it) and accept a low-ball partial refund instead. Even though you declined the partial refund, because you did not reply immediately to their middle of the night email they 'accept' the low-ball partial refund for you ("to save you trouble") and ignored all further messages. Seller gets half your money for junk goods.
You think dispute process is to protect you? Silly buyer, dispute process is just a 'show trial' to to protect sellers!
And beware if sellers offer partial 'refunds' – they'll 'refund' you in coupons to buy defective products again. They'll also trick you into closing the transaction by clicking 'Item Received' before refund. This release funds to seller and finalize transaction so you have no recourse if they won't refund. Don't do it.
Use at your own peril. You're not getting your money back unless you're willing to fight sellers and DHgate's dismissive customer service over and over (and over). They will tell you whatever to get you off the line/messaging as soon as possible. Twice was told case was escalated & DHgate contacted seller but agents found no escalations or DHgate contacts later.
Just file a dispute with your credit card company - you'll save lots of time, frustration and stress and maybe they'll wake up and fix their joke of a dispute process.
You have to be crazy to buy expensive goods on this site.
Edited: lol so their customer service messaged me for the deadbeat order # above. To investigate seller? To help escalate the matter for refund? No, they asked me to... contact the seller! What a brilliant idea - contact seller that's been ignoring messages for weeks! Perfect example of how they handle issues, run buyer around in circles until buyer gives up.
I have uploaded three times to DHgate's site a detailed complaint against one of their so-called "top rated" suppliers who runs a business under the name "Goodmemory" after this thieve dared to advertise, sell and send me through DHgate's site two 128GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory cards made by "Samsung", which turned to be nothing but a couple of plain blunt FAKE cards with a "capacity" of ZERO bytes each!
Now guess what happened? A "mysterious" hand erased THREE times my complaints, few hours after I have uploaded them to DHgate's site!
After a prolonged saga of correspondence with that thief (who dared to deny his fraudulent acts and offered a refund of only few dollars) I have managed to finally get a refund through DHgate, but my repeating demands to ban that seller from continuing his swindling business in their arena and under their umbrella were totally ignored and fell on deaf ears. So was their "response" as to the demand to compensate me, despite their clear promises as declared on their site.
If this is not yet enough, there is a clear warning in Chinese Embassy's Commercial Attaché site (https://tinyurl.com/z9l5bkf) under the title "There is nothing to do!", in which all customers are warned to avoid putting their trust (and money) in "sellers" from China! Can you illustrate a stronger "no go" sign than this?
Customers, beware! Caveat Emptor!
P.S.: Now what do you expact from DHgate other that a "cut and paste" prepared "answer", as almost all their "answers" here are?

[June 08,2016]
Well, as I assumed at the last paragraph of my review ["P.S.: Now what do you expect from DHgate other that a 'cut and paste' prepared 'answer', as almost all their 'answers' here are?"], the SAME "Riane" from DHgate "answered" my complaint with the SAME "cut and paste" of her/his usual blah-blah as quoted hereinafter as elsewhere in this site: -
"We are sorry to hear about your experience on your purchase, but we also want this to be resolved for you. Please do provide us your order number (PO#) for your transaction so that we can have it checked here on our end and we can be able to offer you the most efficient resolution. - - -"
And what is their usual and persistent method to "solve" the complaint and send it to oblivion? SAME one as the case is always here:
"We also highly encourage you that you send us your response directly to our Live Chat Customer Service so that you will be assisted timely and fast. - - -"
Well, dear "Riane", I am not falling into this transparent honey-trap of yours! If you really want to solve YOUR problem do it HERE, openly and under the watching eyes of all the members of this marvelous ReviewFeeder!
The one and only detail I am going to tell you now is the order number of the said transaction, which is 236834522. ALL the rest you will find there inside that order, assuming you did not erase it to avoid the problem and dodge it
NOTHING other that implementing immediately a firm and lasting resolution to kick out that "Goodmemory" THIEVE from your selling arena will satisfy my demand, plus fulfilling my demand to compensate me with the full amount promised by you in those cases where the goods have not been supplied in time! Let it be crystal clear: sending me FAKE and USELESS items is not considered as sending me the fully paid REAL AND GENUINE goods on-time!
ANY question you may still have regarding this matter must be presented HERE, in public. I will not provide you with any answer regarding this issue in private or through your so-called "Live Chat Customer Service", since it is obvious NOBODY here trusts your systematic way of dragging feet and beating around the bush.
Here and only here is your final outpost to solve YOUR problem and whitewash your laundry. Until that goal is reached to its' full extent I promise to keep on fighting.
It's your turn now, "Riane" of DHgate.com!

[Updated June 09,2016]
After being exposed to all the decisive and unshakeable evidences which clearly prove "GoodMemory" to be a thief and a liar, one might expect DHgate.com management to act immediately and kick out from their selling arena that crooked seller of fake and useless memory cards.
But no! Until this very date (June 09,2016) DHgate.com keeps on proudly hosting that impertinent thieve under their roof and advertising his counterfeited items under their shading umbrella, even though all the vital proofs are in their possession since May 14,2016!
Correct me if I am wrong and sue me if I'm misleading: Watching just now (May 09,2016, at 08:45) GoodMemrory's page under DHgate.com roof [see: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/new-arrival-class-10-evo-128gb-micro-sd-card...⇄ provides us with clear-cut incriminating data:
A. GoodMemory keeps on advertising through DHgate.com and under their "supervision" the SAME fake memory card!
B. The photo on that page describes that memory card as a 128GB EVO card and looks exactly like the original Samsung EVO cards, except the logo "Samsung" which does NOT appear in the advertised photo, both on the card and its package. One can clearly observe that the logo "Samsung" has been recklessly erased from that photo See the hereby newly attached photo taken few minutes ago.
C. As shown in my complaint, the logo "Samsung" appeared clearly on both cards and their packages that GoodMemoty sent me!
This behavior of DHgate is totally unacceptable, since DHgate keep on hosting and promoting a proven counterfeiter and thus assists him cunning all of us, the customers!
This outrageous behavior echoes time and again: Caveat Emptor! Keep your wallets out of their reach (unless you have an urge to be ripped off).

[Updated May 4,2018]
DHGATE Website: A thief will always be a thief!
It will soon be two years since I raised my complaint against the conduct of DHgate and against the thief, the fraudster and the forger called "Goodmemory" who is included in their list of their "recommended super-sellers".
About two years have passed since I repeatedly demanded from DHgate to remove this deceiver and thief from their trading arena, but I never got a response from them.
According to ReviewFeeder's report, in the past two years 1.2 million users (!) have read and watched my opinion about DHgate, but unfortunately, the same notorious thief continues to celebrate openly under DHgate's "Protection umbrella" and continues to hold the alleged title as a super-seller! See as an example from today's posting of DHgate on their website http://tinyurl.com/ycvwyovw. It is absolutely clear: the caravan of thieves passes quietly and safely, even though the watch dogs bark constantly.
These things are accompanied by one sad and worrisome meaning: as long as the consumer public ignores the warnings and continues to put its money on the deer's horn, all these crooks will prosper without hindrance.
Are YOU amongst those fools?
As a matter of fact, I remain steadfast in my position: If DHgate and / or Goodmemory think I am slandering them - they are willingly invited to sue me!
DHgate is perhaps not considered a scam, but is evidently an unethical business seeking additional profits from unprincipled revenues other than clear sales, and it thinks that customers outside China cannot reach them through legal actions to obtain their rights or get back their lost money. But they are wrong, because I am in the process of presenting DHgate actions for international legal consideration, holding it responsible for its actions, and introducing its arrogance to the international communities. Anyone who feels was violated, scammed, or mistreated by DHgate, please feel free to contact me and join me the drive against DHgate.
Since purchase of this phone from DHGate, I have bought another China phone from a different web site. Of course that phone came with the stated 4GB ROM, no excuses like DHGate and their seller made.

My response to DHgate as follows:
I specifically requested was that you send a self addressed prepaid shipping label, as I clearly showed what it would cost me (more than the cost of the phone) and most likely would be cheaper for you. I already had my time and money tied up far too long with these useless non-working phones. I should not be expected to tie up the same amount with absolutely no idea if/when I will ever see the money again.
Both phones have exactly the same problems, it would be redundant to make two videos of the same brand and model of phone with the exact same problem. There is NO NEED for a second video, it will be almost indistinguishable from the one sent.
Email me a self addressed prepaid shipping label, so I do not incur any more cost and loss, and I will send off both phones the next business day.
I am not spending $90 to send both phones back so you can "promise" me a refund of $35. The customer service here is extremely frustrating and your products that I have ordered have all been duds. Even the first order, I put in prior to these two phones, the phone worked for one month before it went blackscreen. You can look at what I ordered, and you expect me to be satisfied with a $35 refund? These two phones NEVER worked properly. I have no problem sending them back, but because you want a tracking number the cost I sent you is the cheapest available to me (you may have a cheaper method, if so email me a self addressed prepaid shipping label). You must understand that I do not wish to incur any more loss with these phones, DHgate already cost me contracts due to dropped calls because they do not work. I still have to get new phones as my old 10 year old LG phone is only good for basic phone service and I can not trust the battery anymore. The phones I got from DHgate have set my work back considerably over the winter.
I will recap. I ordered a dress on my phone using Internet, not DHgate's "mobile app" on January 15th. I was charged for the dress $229.99 on my credit card. I did not receive ANY form of confirmation that the order had been processed or even received by the company other than this credit card charge and weeks later a text message from "723-17" sent on February 1st stating:
"DHL shipment #XXXXXXXXXX is scheduled for delivery Monday. Can't sign for it? Leave signed note w/tracking # or visit http://www.dhl-usa.com/ondemand"
I received the dress with a packing slip misspelling both my first and last names, with also no order number, only the same shipping number sent in the text message. I repeat, I received NO order number at all throughout this process. No email confirmation, no confirmation of any sort other than a charge on the credit card and the text message weeks later. The dress I received was not as pictured or as ordered and I was greatly dissatisfied with it and wished, and still intend to return it to the sender for a full refund.
Since receiving the dress I have spent hours upon hours with customer service and have yet to reach a resolution. I have been instructed by customer service to login to DHgate online and open a formal dispute but I am still unable to do this as I still have yet to recieve an order number and had my DHgate account suspiciously suspended "as I requested" which I did NOT request... I have requested the DHgate customer service representatives who have been in contact with me since reading my first horrible review to connect me with the correct person with whom I would arrange to have the dress returned and provide me with a full refund. This has not happened. I requested that the website, DHGate.com, be held responsible since it was their mistake in not issuing an order number or any confirmation, both with which I would have been able to file a dispute with the seller by now. I also requested DHgate issue me a return shipping label as well as a full refund so I may return the unusable dress and be returned the money I wasted on this improper purchase. This has also not happened, they have only asked, again, if I had yet logged in and reset my password and filed a dispute- which I CAN NOT DO. I even threatened that "if this is unable to be resolved in such a way I will report this to the Better Business Bureau so as to save others the the time, money, and misfortune this exchange has inflicted upon me."
They have simply stopped responding. I want to warn others- never use this portal website unless you are willing to take the risk of throwing your money down a drain never to be seen again should your purchase, as it most likely will be, not what you had expected or paid for.
*Note* The order ID I entered for these reviews is one customer service speculated to be associated with my purchase even though all the facts they had to link it to me were not accurate.
The 1st time I ordered a wig from them I was impressed without fitting the wig, I see how beautiful, soft, and the color is lovely. But when I tried to fit the wig I don't understand the wig is smaller than my head, then when I cut the lace and fit it again the cap is really small. So I emailed the supplier (xcsunny) I told them that my wig cap is smaller than my head and they replied to me and said ("There is a stretchable on nape area") I thought "WTF I don't need this!@#$%^&* stretchable belt for god sake, I asked them if I can send back the wig so they can fix it for me and they said I cannot return the wig after I cut the lace... So... I cant do anything except sell my wig to a friend and she likes it...
Second time I ordered 3 wigs from the Supplier again (xcsunny) Sunny & Candy, I gave them head measurements before I order the wig, and add two-tone color of wig, wig clip, to prevent the wig from falling and send it to UPS (not fedex) So it took about 1 month for my wigs to arrive. When I first to look at the wig its very beautiful, soft and lovely like the first time I ordered, then when I fit the wig still smaller than my head, the cap is small, even I already give them my custom head measurement and they still can't make it the right size. They also didn't add two-tone color of the head, wig clip is not attached already, they just put the wig clip without putting it on the wig and sent it to me so I will have to sew it in myself! How rude is that? I payed the exact amount of the wigs, shipping & taxes and I expected that the product I ordered would arrive. I can't do anything with the wigs as they are too small so I think I have to sell it again like the first wig I ordered. I am so disappointed with these scam artists and I wish nobody else will attempt to do business with them. I emailed them and asked them why they sent me a small cap instead of using my custom head measurements like I sent to them before I ordered and he replied ("I will just give you 30USD to fix the wig in your country") These two idiots obviously do not care about their customers and will just send you whatever product they think is similar to what you ordered.
Girls out there beware of this idiotic Chinese supplier which is trying to get your money, Don't trust them with your wigs if you don't want to be scammed like me... Shame on this Supplier, Very bad service...
I saw these reviews before I ordered $900 worth of goods from a DHgate vendor. I figured I was safe because 1) I was ordering from an established international vendor and 2) I was smart enough to use my American Express card to order.
I did not receive 10% of my order; I also didn't receive exactly what I ordered (there is a big difference between a chemical that can pass through 300mesh and a chemical that is mainly rock.)
DHgate's resolution process is to first contact the seller and attempt to resolve. If you can't or if there are other problems, escalate to DHgate mediation. So I contacted seller and proposed a full refund with them paying return shipping. DHgate agreed, but also sent a strongly worded email claiming that I was in the wrong and that they were refusing to pay return shipping. So I contacted DHgate customer service, and was told that because seller had agreed to refund proposal they had to abide by all terms of refund proposal, including return shipping. Then the real nightmare began.
I have never purchased this item internationally before, only domestically. I discovered that the product was illegal to ship internationally. The seller had not only shorted my order 10%, but had lied to send it in the first place: they claimed it was salt (which IS legal to ship), and the declaration of composition said it was salt too (hint: I didn't pay $900 for salt!). USmail, USPS and FedEx all refuse to ship the product back to China because of its hazardous nature.
So I contacted DHgate again, explained the problem and provided several images showing the deceitful practice of the vendor. I was assured by no less than 3 different reps that 1) my dispute had been escalated to mediation and that 2) the funds would not be released to vendor until and if mediation found in their favor. Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find out the status of mediation and discover that a) funds HAD been released to vendor and b) DHgate had no record of a dispute!
Thank God I ordered using American Express. I contacted them, explained the situation, and I had a refund within 3 days.
This still isn't fully resolved yet: I just heard back from DHgate mediation that they don't believe me and that more evidence needs to be supplied. Even though their findings show (and I quote verbatim): "For the ingredient it (sic) [if] he write real name, it cannot pass the Customs." I also just heard back from the vendor; they thanked me for full payment.
I am fairly confident that any additional charges DHgate or the vendor might attempt to put through on my American Express card will be denied, but I am being vigilant about this. It's already been 3.5 weeks of back and forth; I expect another 3-4 weeks of problem before this finally goes away.
I hope my experience has deterred you from order anything from DHgate. If not, I really hope you use a credit card for your order. My experiences with getting a refund from Chase Visa has not been as stellar as my experiences with American Express; use Amex if you can.

INTRODUCTION
I purchased a Bitcoin Miner from a seller on the Dhgate.com Website on December 23rd 2015 for a total of $242.00. During the shipping process I selected and paid for DHL as the shipper and was told by the website that the delivery date will be by the end of December 2015.
Four days after payment was received by Dhgate.com I was given a tracking number RT308956682HK and told that my item would arrive as promised, however the date came and went I did not receive the item. I literally would look for every truck which came down my street hoping that I would receive my item.
I contacted the Dhgate.com by their chat room see Exhibit 1 to inquire about my package. I was then told that the item was shipped by HongKong post instead of DHL and that the item would arrive sometime between January 11th 2016 and January 28th 2016. I was furious but I had no choice as the item was already shipped by a different method chosen by me at the time of purchase.
With great reluctance I agreed to the new shipping date and method, soon after this I began to search the internet for the name of the Seller. I discovered that the company have had several client complaints on line by buyers worldwide. See Exhibit 2, I discovered buyers had alleged that the company have shipped empty packages, packages with bricks to a client in Australia and many other varied kinds of unfair treatment by the Defendants.
Further I ventured to check the tracking number using the website of the shipping carrier which Dhgare.com provided to me. I was in total shock to learn from the carriers website that the item was shipped a full 30 days before I actually ordered the item in question, the Defandants admitted see exhibit 2 that the tracking number was a fake and that I needed to file a dispute and make a proposal for settlement. I was dumbfounded, to learn that I had to make a proposal when in fact the Defendants committed a fraud on me by error or with deliberation, the Defendants have a duty to fact check the information before disclosing such erroneous information it was an advance payment. I quickly realised that I was not going to get a box of bricks for my money.
I then contacted the supplier of the item to get my money or the item. I was told that I needed to change my complaint from fake shipping tracking number to any other option to get a refund. This is the subject of this lawsuit.
THE PARTIES
The Plaintiff is a private Bitcoin and AltCoin mining consortium head off-iced in Miami Florida. The Defendants are a selling website and a BitCoin mining machine shop, situated in China.
VENUE
The venue is proper as the Plaintiff purchased the item with a credit card in Miami Florida on line.
Purchased an Antminer bit coin mining machine for $242.00 on December 23rd, 2015 I chose the DHL shipping to arrive just after or during by the end of the year, the company gave me a fake tracking number of another item and shipped the item by HongKong post. The Tracking number indicates that the shipped item was shipped about 30 days before I ordered it, what a sham that is.
I want my item in the new condition or a refund, simple I reported the transaction to www.ic3.com this is a sham company, period. I have not received the item yet to this date. I want this item so badly. Now DHgate are asking to change my reason for a refund from"fake tracking number" to "I do not want the item." then I get a refund.
These are the words of the shipper """hi, friend
Sorry to bring you so much trouble, we had connect with translate company.and the machine had stoped in HK now.so, if you don't want it, we will refund for you, but please change the refund reason. You can choose the reason "you don't want it"or "the product is still on the road". Then we will agree your refund soon. Thanks for your understanding.
B/R" so the item is in Hong Kong, there is a provision in the terms and agreement that I must pay for return shipping if I do not want the item, but I do want it or my money back, they gave me a fake tracking, so they can get paid from the escrow and I get part of my money back when they failed to give me the item and failed to send the item by DHL. No No No

Made two simultaneous purchases. Neither ended up being received, yet, I had to pay for one because DHG rewards seller bad faith.
First purchase: Chose item and seller based upon shipper, even though other vendors had better prices. I don't have USPS delivery, so I chose the vendor representing FedEx Ground shipping. Seller did not honor that term of sale and sent it by USPS. I never received it, as a result. DHG refused to demand signature proof of delivery from the seller so that it could be located. DHG kept demanding that I file the claim. Since I don't have standing, as a non-customer of USPS, I could not file. DHG never accepted that reality. The seller never communicated with either me or DHG (based upon chat sessions), yet, DHG rewarded the seller by closing my claim since I could not provide a claim number for a claim I cannot file. It was insane. It was like 'talking' to a wall. In the end, DHG paid the seller for a product I never received despite the fact that the only reason I didn't receive it was the fault of the seller - it didn't even cooperate in the process. The seller could have had the package located. It didn't. Yet, DHG pays my money over to the seller. Paid a lot of money and spent a ridiculous amount of time for absolutely nothing but aggravation and frustration. And, I had to source the product from a retailer since I had a delivery commitment to my buyer. I lost not only the money I paid to DHG, but lost money on the order overall since I had to pay retail for the parts. But, I honored my agreement with my seller. That is what good faith looks like. DHG and its vendors don't really 'get' that concept.
Second purchase: Seller admitted that it did not have the product I ordered, yet, listed it 'shipped' on the DHG website, trying to get me to accept a substitute. I refused. It persisted. DHG would not refund my payment since the item was listed as "shipped." The fact that the seller did not have the product was not a factor it would consider. The seller kept trying to get me buy something. In the end, I did get a refund, but, only about a month later after the delivery window had passed and I filed a claim with DHG. Once filed (for non-receipt) the seller kept demanding that I withdraw it before it would agree to a refund. If I had closed the claim the seller would have been paid automatically. The process of getting a refund for a product that was not even available from the seller was insane. The product was available from other vendors, but I wasn't issued a refund in time to complete those purchases. (And, I wasn't going to place a third order based upon the trouble already experienced until I received the refund.)
Purchase at you own risk.
More hoops to jump through. DhGate says send us a screen shot of your mailing label. It doesn't look like there's so they say send us one that looks like our example. The cost of the shipping was on the return box of their speakers but their business model is so bad Dhgate does not get a copy of the shipping label from the seller. After several screen shots of my label the label was finally accepted. Now hold on it gets worse. DHgate says if you want your money back you must open a DHgate account which is totally separate from your DHgate purchase login The ACCOUNT requires a separate login after navigating several prompts. DHgate forces you to open an ACCOUNT then they put your refund money in that ACCOUNT and charge you a FEE to have DHgate process your refund request from the account they forced you to open to return your money to you. It gets even worse. DHgate has you navigate this entire refund system. If you make a mistake along the way you go through hell to get back to the place before the mistake was made. I gave up many times only to later reenergize and go at it on another day or later the same day. Then they give you a vehicle choice to receive your money. Your bank account or Western Union. I chose Bank Account. I gave them the only two sets of numbers on any checking account for a private person. The routing number and the account number. DHgate wanted a Bank commercial number that's not used for private persons. DHgate will never tell you if something goes wrong they put the burden on the customer to constantly tackle several DHgate prompts daily to find out if DHgate has a message for you. DHgate does not offer the simple courtesy to email you directly, possibly because they hope you give up on the idea of a refund and use your refund to make new DHgate purchases. After many-many LIVE CHATS the bank process does not work so I tried to change the instructions to send the refund to Western Union. The amount of LIVE CHATS to have their records read Western Union was pure criminal abuse of the customer. Typing back and forth like you have never typed before. Now the HELL you must go through with a Western Union request. You must wait for DHgate to send you a Western Union 4 letter code and and a number. DHgate will not tell you when they send the code. DHgate leaves it up to you to go on both their sites to find out if they have gave you a code. I complained so much they sent the Code to my private email. I finally got MY REFUND after they took my money to pay their costs to removed it from the forced account they made me enter and the costs to WESTERN UNION TO PROCESS MY REFUND. If you took the time to read this and you do business with this company. You can end the rest of this sentence yourself.
I placed an order on 3/10 for two pairs of sunglasses and was given a maximum delivery date of 30 days. The delivery tracking was last updated on 3/20/20 and was still in the shipping country of China. I continued to wait and at the 30 day mark messaged the seller multiple times, never receiving a response. I followed DHgate's "rules" for disputing an order and tried to come to terms with the seller to denied a refund because "it was still shipping" despite being over their maximum shipping time and never being updated on tracking. I waited 5 additional days until I was allowed to escalate the dispute to DHgate for review. DHgate said I had to wait an additional 10 days due to possible delays AGAIN even though it has not been updated in over a month and is clearly lost. I waited 10 days and messaged them again and they sent the exact same response back. It has now been 42 days since it shipped and still has not been updated since 3/20/2020. DHgate has still not offered me a refund and has not followed their terms that they said they would for customer service. I do not know how they have a trustpilot sticker on their site as they are clearly not following any ethical standards. I have two other orders that have not shipped yet and I am concerned I will also not receive those. I have now launched an investigation with my credit card company because DHgate has illegally kept my payment against their own terms and policy.
How about this?
Let me offer you $30 and you don't need to send it back to me and keep it.
This is 1:1 high quality one so you can compare with the original one, all are same.
Look forward to your good news.
Best regards
Josephine"
Final message from the was QUOTE "
Let me offer you $35 refund and you keep the items. No need to send it back to me.
Ok?"
At this point I turned the dispute over to Dhgate 12/2/15. I have heard NOTHING from Dhgate since then. I realize it's not been that it has not been very long however it has since this whole thing began 11/24/15.
My warning is can't trust sellers with sending original devices, you can't trust dhgate's buyer protection rules or system for correcting disputes. I hope I can return to this review and at least say Dhgate stepped up and saw to it my rights as a customer were taken care of when their sellers were selling counterfeit electric face devices, of which according to NuFace some people have been injured using. I did chat with dhgate rep when I first found out they were counterfeit and instead of saying "WOW THATS A CRIME. WELL TAKE CARE IF IT". They said something like that's very bad you need to try and resolve it with seller. So as of now I would have to say. I don't think Dhgate has an issue with counterfeit devices being sold from their site. I will correct this review if and when they take care of this CRIME that was committed to me by sellers on their site. Obviously I'm very upset with them. I do have evidence of which has been submitted to sellers and Dhgate. I will be submitting all my evidence to the federal trade commission.
A) Re-direction: they always tell me they are forwarding me to another department but then I never hear from that department or they send me on a wild goose chase to get more information when they have all the information they need in front of them. Getting the information leads to no further results.
B) Dismissal: there is nothing I can do since the case is closed; there is nothing I can do since it is Chinese Spring Festival (which ended over a week previous); they sent me a failed wire transfer for all my refunds. Three weeks later I haven't seen the transfer or my money returned to my DHGate account. I've asked them to look into it a week and a half ago. They continue to ask me to be patient. I've been waiting for several months to hear from their Seller Team on an appeal of that 7th refund. That seller team has done nothing to further that appeal. They continue to ask me to be patient on that case too. For these scam artists, patience equals dismissal.
Note: I see Sam weighed in from After Sales. He was one of the 8 schmucks I've already dealt with. You can see he is still redirecting and dismissing. He knows that I can't go to Canada Post because they just send me back to the seller. He knows this because I told him. He knows the seller has not responded to the several messages I left. He knows because I told him. And here's a question, if there's nothing the AfterSales team can do, why did he promise me that they would follow up with me. I'm still waiting months later. Why didn't they at least try to find out why there was a delivered status being reported. It's because they don't care about the customer being scammed, so long as the seller continues to sell. You can do better on Ebay.
