POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Placed an order on 5/5, back-ordered til 6/6... Ok that is fine. On 6/14 I reached out to HCC via email since my online status still said processing and I had not received the item yet. HCC responded with " we have tried contacting you multiple times via phone and email with no response, you need to re-order." I stated I never received any emails or phone calls and I have been actively checking the progress online and in my emails. The only response I get was " It was not paid for, you have to re-order." Why do you give billing information if Home Cinema Center are not going to bill you when the order is ready to ship? This is very poor customer service, they would not even re-process the order. Advise to check BBB to see what kind of company you are dealing with before purchasing anything.

I cannot believe the awful experience I had with this...
I cannot believe the awful experience I had with this company, their customer service, their delivery and shipping options and just the overall experience. I ordered a $1,000 desk online and prior to ordering asked about delivery and assembly, and I was informed that it would require no assembly and be delivered to my home. I WAS NOT informed that Home Cinema Center would drop it off at the curb of my house and not bring it into my home. I was also NOT INFORMED that I would need to STALK the company to find out, #1 where my delivery was, #2 when and if it would be delivered.

I never received a confirmation email of shipping, I had to call to find out that my order was in Chicago. I was told to call the next day to arrange shipping. I did so, provided the tracking number and then told that they had it sitting in Chicago and that no delivery address was given and they would not deliver it to me because they would need the company to call and tell them where to send it (Detroit). I called the company *Homecinemacenter" and was told they would send the paperwork on, they did not because I called the next day and had to redo the entire process again, finally, someone got through to them. I was then told to call and arrange delivery, I did, and they informed me it would be delivered the next day between 9 and 5, at 3:30 I had not heard back from anyone and so i called the shipper who said that the driver had called me and left me a voicemail about delivery (i had no missed call and no voicemails) then I was informed they would bring it to me that evening. The driver called me to tell me that he would be dropping it off at the curb, but asked if someone could help him since he didnt have the proper vehicle to do so... obviously no one could help so he had to rearrange delivery for the next day. I called the company immediately inquiring about a cancellation whereas I was informed that there would be "enormous amount of fees" to return, half the cost of the item.

Bottom line, what you think you might be saving with this website, you will make up in confusion, delay, headache and annoyance. RUN AWAY. Do not do business with these people.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Please let me save you a horrific experience that I went through with the online furniture company. Yes you will get a discounted price, and I can only imagine the rating for this company is so high on this site is either internet bots, paid reviewers or the customer did not have to deal with customer service (if you're even able to get through). The only service worker is John, who will cut you off mid sentence, be very short with you, not to mention, stated he would file harrassment charges on myself for calling the center consistently to attain a service representative. All together ended up blocking my phone number, for attempting to reach the company to speak about my recent purchases. Save your time, save your money, save your patience on a more reputable big store company. Do not trust the 4 stars on this site, research the company on Better Business Beuero.

STAY AWAY - They are scammers
I purchased a table and chairs (set) for $1265. 04. It was delivered damaged. The table top was the only damaged item. I sent an email on 2/1/18 informing them that the table top was damaged and included pictures of the damage. Home Cinema Center responded on 2/5/18 ". A credit in the amount of $75 to correct the issues at your convenience 2. Dispatch a furniture tech to correct the issues within the next 2-3 weeks" I responded on 2/5/18 with, "I believe the pictures may be a little deceiving. The breakage is really bad and completely unfixable in any way that would put it in a "new" condition for which I ordered and paid for. Either you can send me a new table top or I can inform American Express, BBB, Google Reviews, Yelp and every other website that your company was made aware of this damage and did nothing but offer a band-aid (and inadequate at that) to fix and not per your " best return policies in the online business" that is clearly stated on your website. I did not purchase used, broken or defective materials. I purchased a table that is supposed to be in new condition. This needs to be escalated up your chain of command to send me a table that is not damaged, defective or broken. They responded on 2/9/18 with "Please provide a copy of your signed delivery receipt for review. " I sent it on 2/9/18. Then POOF they were gone! I followed-up on 2/17, "Okay, it has been 8 days with no follow-up from you regarding fixing this issue. On Monday, 2/19/18, I will be writing a complaint https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/nature-of-complaint/ at 3pm. Then I will ensure follow-up with the AG's office. I am trying to be reasonable and accommodating since I understand that customer service is difficult which is why I am giving you this opportunity to do the right thing. Also, by letting you know what my next step be.

I want the new tabletop that I paid $1265. 04. I don't want a measly $75 nor to have someone come out and "repair" it. I PAID for a new table in new condition. They advertise that they have the best return policy; YET, they have not lived up to their promise. I want an unbroken table top. I did everything that they requested and they are trying to get out of doing the right thing and hoping I just go away. How many other consumers have they done this too. Or this is the fault of a low-level employee and the executive team would be aghast that they have failed to give good consumer service.

Very disappointed in this experience
I found this company via a web search. I was purchasing a birthday present for my son who asked for a recliner with a built in table like at the movies.

I found a great one at a great price and promptly ordered.

The next day, however, I received an email that "brown" was not an available color (even though the website allowed that choice). I replied but got no response to my email, so I called back 3 days later. I wasn't even sure I had the right number because the person who answered didn't even identify himself. Honestly, I got the impression he was annoyed to even get a call. I told him why I was calling and I asked if, since I was having to settle for black instead of brown, if Home Cinema Center could work something out on the $89 shipping cost. He said no. He asked me "do I want it or not?"
Since my son was already expecting this (I had shown him a picture on his actual birthday since I knew it would take some time to arrive), I went ahead and said ok, but I already wasn't inclined to do any further business with this company.

So, the order was confirmed in black, and I thought that was it.

Except two days later, I got another email:
"The item you have ordered is on extended backorder, and we do not anticipate having this in stock for at least the next 45 days. We have canceled your order and refunded your payment. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused."

So, now I have nothing to show for the trouble, and I am very disappointed in this company, their lack of friendliness, and their inability to take and fulfill what should have been a simple order.

I would not recommend them at all.

Excellent Customer Service!
I ordered almost an entire house of furniture! Stupidly, I thought Home Cinema Center would gather my order together and deliver all at once. It came in 3 shipments., so not too bad, The delivery people were awesome and would give you a pretty close estimate of the time they'd be there. Never had to wait. Hit a couple of bumps in the road, but that's where the customer service came in. I've never had a brick and mortar store do so much to satisfy a customer. I live alone so picking up furniture was out. The expense of delivery is unreal! HCC delivery is FREE. I did pay extra twice... one item would have been left outside... not quite comfortable with that. Then I paid extra to have a platform bed assembled! WAY WORTH THAT! Just in getting it in the bedroom! Came in huge pieces... I doubt I could have gotten the pieces in the bedroom... that was worth it right there! Yes I assembled some pieces, but weren't real issues.

Excellent
I had found the bedroom set I wanted. I called a local furniture store who was advertising it on their website. Home Cinema Center informed me that the set was discounted through the company and could no longer be received. But I had my heart set on it... I googled the bedroom set and homecinemacenter popped up. I wasn't sure what to expect ordering furniture online but it was super easy and convenient. On their website, they have step-by-step track and when to expect it.

Youll also get a call from the shipping company to set up a time convenient for you to bring your furniture. They also have someone come in and set your furniture up for you so its hassle free. If I had any problems or questions a HCC representative was able to help. I will be doing business in the future with them. I'm now customer for life

My experience with Home Cinema has been beyond great!
My experience with Home Cinema has been beyond great! I am in the process of building a larger scale home and to date have spent close to $27,000.00 on furniture through HCC And have also bought all my sofas, bar chairs, electronics, theater chairs, etc thru HCC as well. So my experience with them has been in a big scaled way!

Everyone whom I have dealt with, either by email or on the phone has been extremely pleasant, professional and prompt in their service! If there have been any issues with a fixture etc being recieved, Home Cinema Center have immediately sent a replacement one. And the issues have been extremely rare, considering the amount of product I have purchased through them. It has made the process of picking lighting a joy, as there are so many products to choose from. And upon recieving them, they are more lovely in reality then from the on-line photos! The local furniture companies can not even match the prices that HCC offer, so I know that I am also getting great value for the monies I have spent! I really can't express just how amazing it has been to deal with. I have been recommending HCC to all my friends and family. Way to go HCC It is a relief to know that there is such a company on-line, that you feel extremely safe in dealing with!

I will be a continued customer and HCC will be the first place I will check for products and pricing!"

Worst company I have ever done business with
I am a business owner so I understand the conflicts that can arise during normal operations. I spoke with a rep three different times that told me Home Cinema Center would have my bed set delivered with 10 business days. Push come to shove, I had to sent a total of 4 emails until I got a response back. The reps are all very rude and would not give me the answers I was requesting. After nearly two weeks after my last email, they responded with "7/12" - no further responses. I guess this is their way of letting me know when to expect my product. I placed the order on April 29th (4/29). I asked to cancel the order, they just responded back "cancelled" but refused to send me a confirmation email that the order has been cancelled.

This company is a joke and you can tell by the way they speak to their customers. Mike seems to be a one man operation however this is no exception to being rude to customers. Save yourself the headache and order from a reputable company. No wonder Home Cinema Center is not on google. They would have a 1 star average.

Perfect Delivery of our Furniture
HomeCinemaCenter is a reasonable and trustworthy organization for purchasing furniture online. We purchased a living room set with sofa, love seat, and two recliners. All of this merchandise cost well below our local furniture store prices and was delivered in a reasonable time frame. The delivery was exceptional and all of the pieces were placed inside our home in the location of our choosing without any issue. The staff is courteous and professional, I appreciate their business model and attention Home Cinema Center devote to their customers. I have no reason to doubt that any reasonable person will have an excellent shopping experience with HomeCinemaCenter.

If you want to know what to expect simply read the FAQ's on the company website, everything is fully disclosed and true.

Terrible service
Terrible service. I am very dissapointed.

The operator is often silent on the phone, makes big pauses and can not provide any useful information. When I call that company and it is always the same operator who answers I have impression that my call is not welcomed but rather annoying to the operator who is rude.

I called around September 15 to order an item. The operator confirmed the item is available and is in Virginia's factory. I placed an order on September 21 on line for the items stated usually ships in 2 - 3 business days. I called the operator on Monday 26 and got an answer that it will be PROBABLY shipped next week in Octobre!

The operator says to call back later that week to have more information but does not provide any help or assistance at all to try to meet the expectations that the company set up on the website.

It is very disspointing and having the operator on the phone who is not accomodating customer's concerns it is even more frustrating.

I will have to cancel my order!

Scam. Horrendous Customer Service.
I ordered over $3,000 worth of product and Home Cinema Center have sent me a tracking number that a week after receiving it, still doesn't work. I called the delivery company, and they said they haven't delivered anything for this company in a year and had nothing in their system to be picked up from them. I then called Home Cinema Center and a condescending jerk answered the phone and refused to give me any information, but instead talked to me like I was in the wrong for following up on $3,000 worth of items that I cannot track or even confirm if/when it will ever be trackable or arrive to me. He insisted that it was simply delayed, but would give me no further information. When I asked to cancel it, he said they would charge me shipping and restocking despite the fact that he had just admitted that shipping had been delayed.

Gorgeous set and fast delivery
Home Cinema Center really went out of there to help me with my purchase. I had trouble finidng the set I wanted and searched for hours. I called customer service and they quickly found what I was looking for when I described it.

They kept me informed every step of the way and gave me a direct phone number to call my rep if I needed anything.
I also really liked the shipping company they used. The delivery man took the time to put the pallet somewhere safe and out of the weather and was very nice about the extra work.

You can't beat their free shipping on a bedroom set either. Saved me lots of money and when you are on a limited income, every dollar counts.
I've not had a chance to get someone to put the bed together, but from what I can see of it, it looks very well made.
The bedroom set is simply beautiful and extremely well made. The construction seems better than anything I found in the stores and it just simply gorgeous.

My husband is a big/tall man (6' 2" and weighs around 265 lbs), so I was skeptical about ordering these beings no weight capacity limit was shown and the size of the recliners were a bit smaller than the Lazy Boys Home Cinema Center would be replacing.

After reading many "great" online reviews about them, I decided to take the chance and purchase two of the manual recliners (without the extension seat or wedge).

Both my husband and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality (very well made)and comfort of these recliners! He can sit very comfortably in them even when his legs are outstretched. I LOVE them because they really support my lower back and neck (which were injured in a vehicle accident years ago), and the fact that I can sit in them for long periods of time without ever feeling uncomfortable!

We were also very satisfied with Home Cinema Centers customer service and the delivery company they use for shipping! Great shopping experience!

We purchased a kitchen table through their site. It arrived a couple weeks later. We've had the table for a little over two months and the screws are already falling out of it. The build quality is poor and I fear I will be buying another kitchen table inside of two years. Also, Home Cinema Center failed to pay the freight company so today, two and a half months post delivery, we received a bill from the shipper saying we were delinquent on shipping charges we paid with our order. I called company and the rep acted like it happened all the time. "Send us the letter the freight company sent and we'll take care of it." To top it off, they made a $39 profit on the shipping by overcharging for it. Nothing like getting harassed by a freight company for a bill I don't owe. That will be our first and last order from this company.

Worst transaction I have ever made. Terrible company, STAY AWAY!
I was excited to see a furniture site with such high quality looking furniture for a great price... well now I know why. I purchased a dining room table and bedroom set from this company. Upon placement of order, 2 weeks later I found out that the bed frame wasn't available. Since there was no other option I opted for a refund. The refund was no problem to get. Next, Home Cinema Center called to schedule the delivery of the furniture about 3 weeks after the first interaction. The delivery man dropped off a crate of items, which did not appear to be our in the center of our garage. We let him know that it was not what we ordered and he said the order number matches, then left. After calling Home Cinema and letting them know, some vague, disgruntled employee answered the phone and told me my order was "lost" and they would let me know when they found it. A few days past and no calls to me happened. I called back and the same disgruntled guy answer the phone and told me they found it and it would be to me at "some point" then they would pick up the wrong furniture sent and drop off what I ordered. Needless to say a week later the shipping company called and attempted yet again a delivery. After delivering our furniture (all boxes were banged up and torn up) the delivery company said they couldn't take the wrong freight back as they have no records to do so. We received our furniture and put everything together... everything was damaged. Multiple chips and scratches/broken pieces... and still a giant freight load of furniture that wasn't ours sitting in the center of the garage. I contact Home Cinema to let them know my furniture is broke. They completely ignored my request and asked if I returned the furniture. I told them the situation and they said "ok" then completely ignored me. Delivery company is now trying to figure out another pick up time to schedule which I have to wait a 4 hour period again. I called Home Cinema once again to talk about the damage to all my furniture and they stated they would not talk to me until the wrongfully delivered furniture was picked up. The company then threatened to charge me for the furniture if I didn't respond within 4 hours to schedule a delivery. I have emailed and called Home cinema over 10 times to try and get everything straightened out. The same smug, rude, disgruntled man continuously answers the phone and never provides any customer service. I am pretty sure that he also answers all the emails under "alias names" because they have the same rude actions. Unless you want to throw away all your money to receive broken furniture, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Save yourself some money and headaches.

No Desk and Awful Customer service
If you haven't read the BBB website on this place, i recommend you do so. The person who seems to be the only one who answers the phone is absolute prick. He doesn't answer questions, interrupts constantly and has no problem hanging up on you over and over again and even threatened others with lawsuits for trying to figure out where their orders are. I've only called three times and the last time I just wanted to cancel my order at this point and get my money back. The guy proceeded to rattle off an email address so fast I didn't even have time to get a pen and then hung up on me before i could ask him to repeat a little slower so I could write it down. I found the service email on the website and emailed that and reported this to the BBB. There was no reason for the rudeness when I just wanted to know if Home Cinema Center had actually received my order since the money just shows pending in paypal. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

Because I was using money from a grant, I had to send a cashier's check which made it hard to use a coupon code since Home Cinema Center expire in only a few days. They held my check until a new code was available and then applied that. They saved me nearly $200 by doing this.

They kept me informed every step of the way and gave me a direct phone number to call my rep if I needed anything.

I also really liked the shipping company they used, Estes. The delivery man took the time to put the pallet somewhere safe and out of the weather and was very nice about the extra work.

Rude, Read other comments on the rude behavior. The 5 Star ratings are very suspect!
I called a few days ago and was told to email in a statement, that I wanted to return the bed, that I had purchased. The man answering the phone was very rude and I told him that he is rude. I will never buy from this company again.

I called again today to find out if this is where I send the email. The man that answered a few days ago and the man that answered today is the same person. I just called back to find out what his name is so I could reference him in the email. This third time I called was only so I could get his name. He told me it is, John. I asked John, "What is your last name," and he said all I needed to know is that his name is John. I also asked him if he was the owner, because I wanted to explain to him again that he is rude.

John told me on the second phone call, only after I asked him if the bed had to be sent back in the original packaging and he said, "Yes". I told him the bed comes in very large boxes and Home Cinema Center had to be cut up in order to get the bed out. Then, I was asked, how are we going to resell it, if it was not in the same packaging.

I am sending the bed back because it is clearly not made for safety. The top bunk hangs out over the bottom bunk without any thought to the sharp edges. The top bunk is a hazard for anyone getting into the bottom bunk, with only a small mishap, someone could take an eye out or get seriously hurt from the sharp edges.

At this point, I am looking for advice on how to return the bed.
