Review Sungram Specialties
Dave Graham is the owner of. Sungram specialties and the did some landscaping and sprinkler work for our mulch beds in our backyard. Dave selected plants that would be easier to take care of and look nice. He laid out a good looking pattern. He also got 2 trees for our backyard a firewood maple and Ginko Biloba tree. The crew did the Job in 1 day.

He stays very busy so a couple times we expected him he didn't make it. He always called and communicated or would answer his personal cell phone to talk with us. We have been very happy this far and he is planning on witerizing our Sprinkler System in a couple weeks.

Thanks for doing a great job and we know if there is a problem Dave will stand behind his work. The total was a about $3,300 for trees about 39-40 plants and making sure all sprinkler systems were working.
We would use Dave and his crew again.

Lawsuit coming
I used home advisor to hire a local contractor to install an exterior door. Guy was an hour late no call text or remorse. Left the job door unfinished, door locks handle missing, said he will be back next day. Cancelled saying he had another job that day. Was supposed to be here at 8 no show, call or text till 10 asking for an address. Made the guy wait as i was at another appointment being the guy was a no show and when i called back number was disconnected and no way to reach him. Left me high an dry.
Called home advisor. Said HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) could not get me anyone for 2 days minimum. Didn't know who the contractor was, didn't have a number. Couldn't get me a manager. This company is a wreck. They constantly gave excuse after excuse.

Very very good
A contractor I put in touch with turned out to be the best contractor I have had in a long time. All OF THe ABOVE construction company, Yes that's their name was so dam knowledgable that I only had to oversee them on this very complex project. Their workers are also so very well trained. That there was no need to watch over them. All communication is accomplished by Text messaging, up-to-date progress, and scheduling all on the money, The job was perfect, At the completion of the project everything was cleaned up even whipping down a 38 FT reinstalled fence. Now that is service. I had been in construction for 10 years and I know what a good contractor looks like. You will have no fears if you hire this contractor, Thank you Home adviser for living up to your reputation.

SHAMROCK POOL HAD RESURFACED MY POOL
If you're looking to resurface or refinish your pool, you've come to the right place!
I have not had any pool work done in 20+ years, so it took a bit of investigating to find the right place.
When I called Shamrock Pool Fiberglass, the owner Jan Moreno set up an appointment. He went into great detail regarding what it would take to make my pool look new again and better than before.
My wife wanted the pool to look blue. He explained the fiberglass and the gel will be a bright white, but the color of the sky will make the pool look baby blue.
We worked out a deal and I signed the contract. This was back in December 2020.
He said all his people follow COVID-19 rules such as wearing masks and using a bathroom at another location (not at my house).
The men were very nice about everything. If I had a question about something, HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) explained it, and we all kept our distance.
The work that was being performed was something special to see. All of the work was done to my liking and very professional just as Jan Moreno said it would be. Jan even came on the last two days to spray the fiberglass in the pool.
The pool resurfacing came out great and now the water looks baby blue! Our friends that come over just love the look of the pool and at night with the pool light on it's great.
Many thanks again to Jan Moreno and his company Shamrock Pool Fiberglass.

Maiden Voyage with Home Advisor
It was Sunday night when our house sitter informed us that our washer was not working. Knowing my husband wouldn't have time to help deal with this issue, I hopped online early Monday morning to see if I could find someone who could repair our washer. I'd already called our previous repairman, but he politely told me he didn't work on the newer models. Within a few minutes I got a call from someone (Stuart) who asked me about my appliance. We discussed the problem and he said he had time to come and check it out. I was surprised but happy that he would come so soon. I'd heard about Home Advisor/Angie's list and thought I'd research this platform and check out the reviews. I was a little skeptical - because, well, the Pandemic has hurt some companies while others are unwilling to provide service. And although 3 companies received my information as a 'lead' for possible repair, only 1 called me - and he got my business! I'm so glad that I decided to follow my instincts and check out Home Advisor, I am happy with the results of my repaired washer, the company who serviced our home.
Thank You!

Scams
This service put me in touch with a scammer. This cleaning lady which was hired on 6/30 and we paid her cash from a bank ATM is claiming after almost a month later that one of the hundred dollar bills that she was given was fake and I owe her another $100. Are you serious? First of all, no store or bank will let you leave after presenting fake money. Isnt that why George Floyd was killed and the cops was called because the store owner called the cops on him because HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) said he presented fake money? I don't see how they would let a black woman present fake money and let her leave with it.
This is a serious accusation to make on a person and Home Advisor did nothing. I even tried to send them the text messages proving she's trying to scam me.
Horrible company! Never ever will I deal with them again and I have since made several complaints against the company Muscle and Woman LLC who is trying to scam me. I'm sure I'm not the first one this company has tried to scam and it needs to stop.

Very Good most of the time.
I feel the last handyman experience with D & D Fixer Upper was fabulous. I had originally made an appointment with a handyman in Everett, MA but the individual didn't show up. D & D fixer Upper took right over and did a great job for me on February 26,2021.

Another handyman a few weeks ago who is located in Quincy, MA, I felt overcharged me, but I needed to have a mice problem taken care of and HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) used plywood under the kitchen cabinets and a sticky green foam to plug openings in my kitchen, they bought a new screen door and painted it, which went with the sliding glass door in my living room and they installed it. They also realigned a laundry closet door in my bathroom. All of it was done within about 5 hours. The head man charged me VERY BIG BUCKS$$. I will confess after the fact, I feel the charges were excessive and I won't hire them back again (although I felt his younger partner was a great worker) I felt the head man took advantage of me.

Horrible Experience! Don't Book with their Instant Offer/Set Price
This company is horrible. I paid for a service ahead of time, through the company. The service provider showed up to my house an hour and a half late. He did not call to verify that he would be late and did not apologize. I called Home Advisor twice. Upon arrival he stayed at my house for 30 minutes of the 2 hour time and said we needed another part. Instead of going to the hardware store, that's less than 5 minutes away, he persisted that her had other appointments and that he would but the part and come back this afternoon. He never showed back up and did not answer his phone upon calling. I'm out of 150.09 and I still don't have the problem fixed. He has the nerve to ask for a tip for him going to the store for the part during the previous conversation. I'm beyond pissed. Don't use Home Advisor.

No bidding process, no chance to choose or talk to anyone, you take whoever they sendI
I am a 90 year old woman who, until this year, have always done my own yard work. This year my walking has become so limited I felt I needed help with spring cleanup of my yard. I contacted Home Advisor hoping to get several possibilities for me to contact. All communication is on line. I was contacted on line with the request that I choose an "appointment time". I assumed this was an appointment to come to my home to see what I needed done and if I wanted to proceed with some very simple leaf blowing for part of my yard. The charge would be $124.48. I chose a time, but later decided to try to find a cheaper bid. I emailed Home Advisor to cancel. Today my bank statement reveals I was already charged. I contacted H. A. for a refund and was told it would be refunded in 3 to 5 days. Strange that the charge could go through in minutes but the refund would take several days. Terrible way to do business!

Dependable Garage Door - Outstanding Garage Door Repair Service at a Fair Price Given Over the Phone
I was contacted by Dependable Garage Door within 5 minutes of making a request on Angli. Mervin with Dependable Garage Door contacted me and gave me a very fair price (over the phone) to replace a broken spring on my 8' high single garage door. Mervin said he could come the next day (Sunday morning) to fix the door. He called at 9am Sunday morning to make sure we were up and ready for him to come and repair the garage door. Mervin arrived on time and completed the repair in less than 45 minutes. Mervin has 14 years of repairing/installing garage doors and is very knowledgeable & professional. After completing the garage door spring repair, he checked the operation of the garage door and made some minor adjustments to ensure proper alignment of the door. I was very pleased with the workmanship and quality of parts used. Mervin was very courteous and I would highly recommend him for all your garage door needs. Thank you Mervin!

Should change Name to Greed Advisor
I have been with home advisor for 5 years. In the beginning I was getting way too many leads for the business that I had and was paying a lot of money for little benefit. I managed to pare the money down by changing my services offered and turning my leads off when not needed. I learned early that leads could be sent to multiple Home Advisor pros thus gaining HA a lot of income for one lead. I also noticed that a home owner could click on any type of service then put a different description that was out of scope in and I would get charged. Example: Homeowner clicks for a general repair then writes that HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) want a 200 amp electrical panel replaced. HA never does a QA on these leads to confirm that the comments match job description.

Recently, I had my paused leads come back on and was charged $74.08 for one lead. It was also matched to one other Pro so they are going to earn $144.16. It takes calling and complaining and threatening to leave to get leads like this removed or reduced. If you call the general help line you get the typical help line service that says they are sorry but can't do anything for you. Once you ask to cancel your membership you are sent to a "supervisor" who then will credit your account, offer you free leads, etc.

Bottom Line:
1. Leads are not free! It is charged to the Pro and then charged back to the homeowner in the price of the job.

2. This company is skimming a lot of contractors by charging multiple times for the same lead and banking that if they charge, it will get paid.

I rate them on the low end of the scale for business ethics!

Great service responce time from HomeAdvisor.
I have a antique floor furnace in my house which most HVAC companies will not work on, because of the age of the unit or HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) try to sell you a new one. I did not want a new furnace I just wanted mine repaired. Total Home Environmental contacted me after only you few minutes. Gordon and Cesar was here in the after noon and gave me a true evaluation for the repairs required, after I thought it over I agreed with what Gordon had said. The next day Harrison and Cesar were here removed old non working parts and took them back to the shop a few hours later they returned and installed mostly new parts and a cleaned burner. The floor furnace is now working like new with a nice blue flame and more heat than it has put out in years. The problems have been resolved and I do recommend there company for any others which have antique floor furnaces. THANKS AGAIN Total Home Environmental, Gordon, Harrison and Cesar for the fine five star job you guys did.

Flooring Pro
Renee (Top to Bottom) was simply amazing! From our first phone conversation I knew he was special. He didn't oversell or talk over me. He listened. He continued to listen to all of my concerns throughout the whole project. He went above and beyond every step of the way. Finding solutions to all challenges that came with the project and there were several. He rolled with each one and offered his expert opinion with other alternatives and let me decide. He had an amazing positive attitude and work ethic. It is so hard to find this caliber of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the workforce these days. He is a jewel! He never tried to take shortcuts. He doesn't overcharge or take advantage in any way. In fact, I now that he got extra supplies that he could have and should have charged me for and didn't. I can't possibly add as many positive adjectives as I feel for Renee and the job he completed for us. I am so thankful and appreciative of him. I strongly recommend! Job completed: vinyl laminate flooring in an old home with uneven, damaged floors. When finished the floor was seamless throughout the house with no transitions needed between rooms. I couldn't be happier.

Fixed Price vs Contractor Referenced jobs
I needed a cement pool deck / patio replaced and contacted Home Advisor. I went down the fixed price rabbit hole where HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) throw a job quote out there and contractors "bid" for it. This would probably work for basic tasks like painting a room, etc. But when I looked at the fixed price, even a lay person like me could see that there was no way anyone would bid for that price. I was right, but only after I had committed to the fixed price. So came the emails/phone calls till I was told about the contractor reference and got my money refunded. Would have been nice if a qualified person would have reviewed the task and determined that there was no way it would be a such a low fixed price. BTW, when I submitted my task, there was no option to download pictures of the project - which I would think would be important.

Really Good Contractors but HA is More than a Bit Pushy
We had a previous contractor that did a repair some years ago give us an estimate that I wasn't comfortable with, so I logged on Home Advisor to get a feel for a roof replacement for our house. With a page of several options, I decided not to ask for estimates at that time and closed the window, but Home Advisor sent everyone on the page an email and the phone started ringing.

We stopped accepting bids at three contractors, and all three were more forthcoming and interested in helping me to make an informed decision than our old contractor. One of them stood out, Surf & Turf Roofing of Egg Harbor, and we went with them. We could not be happier with Egg Harbor Roofing and our new roof.

Just as the job was being completed, we got a call from Home Advisor. The caller was from a noisy boiler room of other salesmen. The woman that called us wanted to sign us up for insulation replacement and drywall repair and seemed to find it hard to believe that we did not need to set up another project.

Highly recommend Burrier Service Company
We have used this company several times over the years, and also both of our parents have used them. We recently had an issue where our furnace quit heating. We discussed several options with Tom Shannon. He was very conscious of social separation and came with a mask which was very appreciated. We chose one option, which caused them to order a new motor. The next day, we changed our mind to go with a new unit. HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) said no problem, they would send the motor back. The installers, Shawn and Curtis were very respectful and polite. At some point when they were working on our furnace, they noticed when the hot water tank kicked in, the exhaust was coming into the basement. They investigated further, even though it was not part of what they needed to do. They cleaned out the exhaust area and found baby racoons. Then they went up on the roof to see what the option were to resolve this. The story gets longer from here, but they went above and beyond the call of duty simply because it was the right thing to do. It is at least the 5th time we or our family has use this service, and it keeps getting better each time. Thanks to Tom, Shawn and Curtis for a job well done!

Customer service? What's that?
I have had good results with some (40%) of the "Pro"s that HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) sent to take care of my yard. After three pretty lackluster performances I had a Pro reschedule on me, and then ghosted. Cue attempting to use the "customer service". Nothing like calling into the dedicated helpline they had for automated jobs, being told "average wait time is 11 minutes" and being on hold for an hour - hung up on at the 20 minute mark three times in a row. They did eventually get back to me and refunded the non-completed service, but the ease of use of their help system desperately leaves something to be desired.

Basically, if you get a good professional, you might have a good service. But that's going to be in spite of homeadvisor, not because of them. No vetting, no quality control, no customer service.

Drywall disaster
Do not hire *******@dhillconstruction.com.
My beautiful new custom build was impacted negatively due to very poor drywall. From hangers destroying electrical wires to finishers not covering seams. This business cares little for home owners. I had stolen property, texture overspray on my tools, stained tongue and groove, bent screens and garbage debris left on my property. The garage was supposed to be textured too but the finish is so terrible and embarrassing, why bother. The owner owes me a refund but has yet to pay and my kitchen has 6 seams so visible I hate to even look at it. Do not go with this company. HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) are not quality oriented and do nothing to fix their work. See the pictures.

Ready to Remodel?
After a basement flood, we interviewed 3 contractors, each of whom gave ‘guesstimates' far above our insurance settlement. Then I found Robert's Remodeling Professionals, Inc.
Robert not only showed vision in how to complete the project but, as important, kept my budget in mind. He provided a written estimate - at No Charge - which others either did not want to do or wanted to charge as much as $350! He dealt with problems that were unknown found behind walls and remedied years of previous handyman fixes discussing each step with us. He and his workers are prompt to the job & leave your home spotless each day.
I have never written a review before but I finally found an honest, reliable company - contact Robert first!

What An Incompetent Business. Stay Away!
Here's my awful experience.
- I booked a handyman to install a couple of bathroom sink faucets three days in advance. He cancelled two hours before the booking time and the best HomeAdvisor could do initially is send someone else out 4 days later.
- After 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) booked another handyman for Monday. As it turned out, the fellow that showed up admitted that he really didn't know much about plumbing and was not able to complete the job.
- They then recommended a plumbing company who showed up on Wednesday and they wanted $1100 to do the job or $400 an hour!
I live in suburban Philadelphia, not New York City, so the location is not a cost factor.
