He stays very busy so a couple times we expected him he didn't make it. He always called and communicated or would answer his personal cell phone to talk with us. We have been very happy this far and he is planning on witerizing our Sprinkler System in a couple weeks.
Thanks for doing a great job and we know if there is a problem Dave will stand behind his work. The total was a about $3,300 for trees about 39-40 plants and making sure all sprinkler systems were working.
We would use Dave and his crew again.
Called home advisor. Said HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) could not get me anyone for 2 days minimum. Didn't know who the contractor was, didn't have a number. Couldn't get me a manager. This company is a wreck. They constantly gave excuse after excuse.
I have not had any pool work done in 20+ years, so it took a bit of investigating to find the right place.
When I called Shamrock Pool Fiberglass, the owner Jan Moreno set up an appointment. He went into great detail regarding what it would take to make my pool look new again and better than before.
My wife wanted the pool to look blue. He explained the fiberglass and the gel will be a bright white, but the color of the sky will make the pool look baby blue.
We worked out a deal and I signed the contract. This was back in December 2020.
He said all his people follow COVID-19 rules such as wearing masks and using a bathroom at another location (not at my house).
The men were very nice about everything. If I had a question about something, HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) explained it, and we all kept our distance.
The work that was being performed was something special to see. All of the work was done to my liking and very professional just as Jan Moreno said it would be. Jan even came on the last two days to spray the fiberglass in the pool.
The pool resurfacing came out great and now the water looks baby blue! Our friends that come over just love the look of the pool and at night with the pool light on it's great.
Many thanks again to Jan Moreno and his company Shamrock Pool Fiberglass.
Thank You!
This is a serious accusation to make on a person and Home Advisor did nothing. I even tried to send them the text messages proving she's trying to scam me.
Horrible company! Never ever will I deal with them again and I have since made several complaints against the company Muscle and Woman LLC who is trying to scam me. I'm sure I'm not the first one this company has tried to scam and it needs to stop.
Another handyman a few weeks ago who is located in Quincy, MA, I felt overcharged me, but I needed to have a mice problem taken care of and HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) used plywood under the kitchen cabinets and a sticky green foam to plug openings in my kitchen, they bought a new screen door and painted it, which went with the sliding glass door in my living room and they installed it. They also realigned a laundry closet door in my bathroom. All of it was done within about 5 hours. The head man charged me VERY BIG BUCKS$$. I will confess after the fact, I feel the charges were excessive and I won't hire them back again (although I felt his younger partner was a great worker) I felt the head man took advantage of me.
Recently, I had my paused leads come back on and was charged $74.08 for one lead. It was also matched to one other Pro so they are going to earn $144.16. It takes calling and complaining and threatening to leave to get leads like this removed or reduced. If you call the general help line you get the typical help line service that says they are sorry but can't do anything for you. Once you ask to cancel your membership you are sent to a "supervisor" who then will credit your account, offer you free leads, etc.
Bottom Line:
1. Leads are not free! It is charged to the Pro and then charged back to the homeowner in the price of the job.
2. This company is skimming a lot of contractors by charging multiple times for the same lead and banking that if they charge, it will get paid.
I rate them on the low end of the scale for business ethics!
We stopped accepting bids at three contractors, and all three were more forthcoming and interested in helping me to make an informed decision than our old contractor. One of them stood out, Surf & Turf Roofing of Egg Harbor, and we went with them. We could not be happier with Egg Harbor Roofing and our new roof.
Just as the job was being completed, we got a call from Home Advisor. The caller was from a noisy boiler room of other salesmen. The woman that called us wanted to sign us up for insulation replacement and drywall repair and seemed to find it hard to believe that we did not need to set up another project.
Basically, if you get a good professional, you might have a good service. But that's going to be in spite of homeadvisor, not because of them. No vetting, no quality control, no customer service.
My beautiful new custom build was impacted negatively due to very poor drywall. From hangers destroying electrical wires to finishers not covering seams. This business cares little for home owners. I had stolen property, texture overspray on my tools, stained tongue and groove, bent screens and garbage debris left on my property. The garage was supposed to be textured too but the finish is so terrible and embarrassing, why bother. The owner owes me a refund but has yet to pay and my kitchen has 6 seams so visible I hate to even look at it. Do not go with this company. HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) are not quality oriented and do nothing to fix their work. See the pictures.
Robert not only showed vision in how to complete the project but, as important, kept my budget in mind. He provided a written estimate - at No Charge - which others either did not want to do or wanted to charge as much as $350! He dealt with problems that were unknown found behind walls and remedied years of previous handyman fixes discussing each step with us. He and his workers are prompt to the job & leave your home spotless each day.
I have never written a review before but I finally found an honest, reliable company - contact Robert first!
- I booked a handyman to install a couple of bathroom sink faucets three days in advance. He cancelled two hours before the booking time and the best HomeAdvisor could do initially is send someone else out 4 days later.
- After 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, HomeAdvisor (Powered by Angi) booked another handyman for Monday. As it turned out, the fellow that showed up admitted that he really didn't know much about plumbing and was not able to complete the job.
- They then recommended a plumbing company who showed up on Wednesday and they wanted $1100 to do the job or $400 an hour!
I live in suburban Philadelphia, not New York City, so the location is not a cost factor.
