Purchased a recreation of the wonderful "Farewell to Anger" understanding it was not an original, however, even though it was a great work some of the key elements I loved about the original were not captured by the studio as fully as I had hoped. I reached out inquiring about an exchange and David and Boris Afremov immediately responded, extremely kind, and amazingly offered to ship me an exchange right away after sending me a picture first to confirm if it was acceptable, as well as gifting me the original recreation for the trouble at no additional cost. The exchange received was absolutely breathtaking and arrived almost immediately, I could not be more pleased! Thank you so much for the amazing customer service care and continuing Leonid's great legacy!

I was so disappointed when I finally received the beautiful Painting I ordered. The Painting I received is noisy to look at, out of proportion, lots of differences from the original, wrong colors and no intimacy and peace at all, and I feel unease looking at it. It looks like if someone just put paint blobs at the Painting instead of colors blending into each other with the strokes.
I can't believe a great artist as Leonid Afremov would ever paint a painting out of proportion. It looks like a child has copied it.

I wrote the family, and was promised a print copy of the original, but although I every week 4 weeks wrote and asked, when Leonid Afremov was sending it, and every time got the answer: end of week. But now 1 1/2 month later its still not sent.

Dont buy paintings from this company if you have the slightest sense and feeling of art.

The original painting made me feel peaceful, but the one I got make me feel schizophrenic because of the colors.

I came across the paintings of Leonid Afremov on the internet and purchased a few of his paintings on www.afremov.com. The paintings I received are absolutely stunning. Leonid Afremov are very pretty. You can't judge a business when everything goes smooth. Every business makes an occasional mistake and you can see if they business is worthy or not by how they solve the issue. In one of the transactions I received a wrong painting, not what I ordered. They let me keep the incorrect painting as gift and sent me the correct painting almost immediately. I think its a great example of proper customer service. They also answered emails very quickly and gave all the information about the shipping.

Recently I found out about the paintings of Leonid Afremov. My friend told me about them, who was just delighted. I also became interested, although I can hardly call myself a fan of modern art, but what I remember most from the story of my friend is that a low price. Indeed, most of the paintings on this site cost between $ 100 and $ 200. It is this really ludicrous price for a work of art. And then, of course, I had a doubt whether these were real paintings. And I decided to buy one of them myself. Well, my expectations were fully met when I saw how oil paints glisten in the rays of electric light! This is an unforgettable sight!

I love my paintings, I was in contact all the time with the team and I really liked the fact of the free shipping, usually when I see the cost of shipping in other products to my country I get disappointed because the shipping to my country is not cheap, but I am happy I saved money and the quality is super good, I had mine since years ago and Leonid Afremov still bright and looking like new.

I really think people should read all the sections before to buy and keep in mind that painting is not copies, the will never look exactly the same, you can read this in the info section.

Oh my! What a wonderful job! My two paintings, Songs of my Heart & Beautiful Magic Flowers (75cm x 100cm) arrived the other day and we couldn't be happier. Leonid Afremov were what was advertised on the Afremov site and more.
Really impressed with the handling of our orders and the timely delivery. Packaging was simply perfect also! We can't wait to hang these paintings in our newly remodelled house in Europe. Today we are putting another order which is not going to be our last...

I have attached Recreation of ALLEY BY THE LAKE & ROMANTIC AURA (Leonid Afremov pair perfectly together like a hot cup of coffee and a fine pastry), Studio Recreation & Limited Original completed entirely by the master himself, Leonid Afremov, of ON THE WAY TO MORNING, Recreation of THE MORNING RAIN IS GONE, which I swear was completed entirely by the master himself, (I am beginning to recognize and distinguish his palette strokes from his students.) Limited Original of KISS AFTER THE RAIN, (Upon looking at this masterpiece, I wished it wasn't a gift :) to my good friend.) (I am still waiting for the correct COA.) (Hurry up already Afremov.com....just teasing and kidding of course:) ) Recreation of AUTUMN STREAM AMBIENCE and SPRING STREAM. I am sure they will do their best to make you a happy customer. But please do not try to scam for a free painting or a discount. This is counterproductive to what the Afremov family is doing: They trying to spread beauty and a little bit of happiness to all of us via the paintings of Leonid Afremov and Leonid Afremov's students. As of February 13, 2020, I have updated this review with some extra photo attachments of Limited Originals and a one of a kind original by Leonid Afremov. The photos are in order: Two of limited original of UNDER THE RED UMBRELLA, (I have 4-5 and 5-5) (Why did I buy two of the same painting?....because one of 'em is a gift..smile.), limited original of AUTUMN DAY (5-5), one of a kind MAGIC CITY and, finally limited original of ENIGMA OF THE NIGHT. Some of these limited originals are STILL available. In addition to UNDER THE RED UMBRELLA and ENIGMA OF THE NIGHT, there are still other limited originals available. On the Afremov site, type in "Limited Edition" and then search. The result should yield four pages. Within the four pages one should see the limited paintings, from Green Tree for $199.00, Candle Fire Dance for $250.00 to Walking Home for $700.00. I STRONGLY suggest one should email them to ensure the purchase will be a Limited Original and NOT a regular recreation before placing an order. I was afraid to order anything online because of a very weird situation in the world. I live in Chine, and it took a very long time for my paintings to get there. But it was totally worth it! When I unpacked my paintings, I was stunned. Leonid Afremov look like original masterpieces and not just recreations. You can feel all the strokes with your hand and the texture of the canvas is very nice. I am very pleased with my purchase, in real life they are even better than I expected.

The reproduction from Mr. Rodriguez is bad in details, instead of the fading horizon there is a triangular shape (see the picture below) done by outrageous line of the sidewalk's right part which, firstly, does not get any thinner as the distance should make it appear - making the whole picture the more flat, same as the couple standing closer to an observer than should be intended, and secondly, it really crosses over the left side of the path. All of the previously mentioned have made me choose this particular painting, to my disappointment I have received a very different one in my eyes... (Perhaps I should pick an easier one to recreate.)
Less importantly, the first two lamps are kinda detailed, others are just smashes done in a great hurry. The one detail that I would not mind changed is the changed order of a lamp and a bench in the front of the picture (that could be on purpose because of it being just a reproduction, eventhough it visibly disrupts the symmetry of the row), but the bench itself is crooked on one side. Makes me really sad to look at.
Colours are nice though, the woman figure is made dressed more elegantly. (If you are standing far enough or perhaps you forget to wear your glasses, it can be a nice experience.) I am sorry, but I was expecting more in the important features, if it were not for the odd wide line and the horizon as the most important centre of the painting, I would perhaps not feel the reason to criticise!

For years I admired Leonid Afremovs paintings. Now I got the chance to buy a beautiful painting of the Tour Eiffel, our favorit builing in our beloved Paris, for a very friendly price. We ordered the 11th and today, the 14th, it already arrived. Only three days! In real it's even more beautiful and sparkling and much bigger than I expected. The packaging was very well, hard pvc roll to protect the painting from any bumpings, scratchings, damaging circumstances. Just keep in mind that you have to pay import taxes and duties when you're buying in Europe. But it's still worth it. Maybe next time I would order the canvas streched on wood, because now I still have to find a company who can do that in a neat way but I'll manage to get that done. I realise it's not a one-only painting, there is at least one more of this painting (the 'original' one from which this recreation is made) and maybe more but it's a real oilpainting, signed and with a certificate. So yes, I recommend these paintings!

I've never shopped for art before and was a bit nervous to be honest. Especially since there are so many paintings to choose from, I wanted to buy all of them haha :) It kinda turned into a family activity and kept us busy for hours, which was quite fun actually. I ended up buying two paintings for myself and two more for my sisters for their help. All of our orders arrived quickly, carefully packaged. I am already eyeballing another painting, but I learned my lesson and will do it alone next time. Cheers ;)

Just received this beautiful recreation Melody of the Night hand painted by Leonid and we are very very pleased. It was shipped fast, packing was great and the painting is so beautiful, more than we expected and we expected a lot! Boris was exceptional in helping us as well as Natalie from the studio, Leonid Afremov went over and above customer service, having lots of patience with these newcomers to the artistry of Leonid Afremov. We ordered 2 recreations and one original and I know it won't be the last! Thanks again for the awesome customer service!

I am completely disgusted by this entire purchase. I wanted to buy a few more before this ordeal. First, their site says Leonid Afremov ship to the US and Canada by UPS. They shipped mine to the US by DHL and of course as is typical for DHL they sent it to the wrong receiving facility in my area. The painting was a day late and they didn't have me sign for it, just left it on my porch. Now I wish someone had stolen it!

When I opened it I immediately saw that this was a horridly poor reproduction of the painting they show on their site. The one I received is like a "paint by numbers" mess. Lifeless, flat, no emotion behind what is depicted. Then I noticed an area on the lower left corner, facing the painting, that had a large chunk of paint missing from the canvas. At the bend of the canvas frame the paint on that entire side is cracked and flaking. There was another chunk of missing paint at the top of that same side. To think I paid extra for this damage with what they call a museum wrap of the painting!

The attached photos are - the original on the website, what I received, the damage to the top left side, the damage to the lower left side.

I emailed their orders department, attached photos of the areas, and informed them the painting was flawed and that this was not what I paid for. They responded offering 3 options:

1 - you can return with prepaid return label. After the return, we issue a full refund. Please request the return label if you wish one

2 - we can provide a replacement of the same piece/s in form of prints on canvas. This way the image of the master original will be reproduced by a machine in its original size. This option does not require return

3- Free exchange for a different painting altogether or exchange for the same painting that you will like better

Use caution when dealing with Afremov.com

I am unsure at this point if the return shipping will be paid for by them. Considering they sent a flawed painting I would think they should pay for the return as it was their responsibility to provide what was shown on the site.

All in all it has not been a good experience. Please use caution when ordering from them and review the painting by photo prior to payment.

In all fairness I will update this review once/if this ordeal/problem has be rectified.

I sent Rain's Rustle in the Park back with a paid label from Afremov.com. In the meanwhile I thought I would chose a painting titled "The Fog of Dreams" as a replacement for the "Rain's Rustle in the Park". I asked for a photo of "The Fog of Dreams" for approval prior to their shipping it to me. Thank goodness I did. The photo of "The Fog of Dreams" showed a substandard painting lacking in Afremov's typical bold color contrasts. The website page for the sale of this painting stated that it was 100% hand painted by Leonid Afremov as a limited edition.

Leonid Afremov's paintings are a wonderful burst of color and contrast. To see what is now being offered as a re-creation of his work is shameful.

If Afremov.com wishes to sell re-creations of Leonid Afremov's work then they should display the actual re-creation not the original paining by Afremov. It is horribly misleading.

From my recent experience with this company the two paintings that were touted as being done by Leonid Afremov did not show his style nor his art. The photos I was sent showed poorly done re-creations being sold as if they were done by Leonid Afremov's hand.

As I stated previously I sent the "Rain's Rustle in the Park" re-creation back. They received it on the May 21 and they stated they issued the refund on May 24,2021. I was told it should be refunded to my card by Monday 31,2021. It was not. I contacted 2checkout.com, Afremov, com's payment processor and they have been repeatedly stating that "due to an internal error the refund will be delayed". I have yet to receive a notice that I have been issued a refund as was done with a prior purchase. So on June 2,2021 I filed a dispute with my card company and received a credit.

I gave them ample opportunity to make things right. I was open to trading for an original copy made by Leonid Afremov and they sent me photos for approval of terrible re-creations. I even purchased another painting "Mysterious Night Street" but requested yet another photo of the painting prior to them shipping it.(This is another review) I received that and did not approve and they refunded it right away. However, I have not received the refund for "Rain's Rustle in the Park" to date.

I have been thinking about buying a painting for a long time, but I could not make a choice. From time to time on the Internet I found many paintings depicting nature, but something was clearly missing, when I found paintings by Leonid Afremov, I realized what was missing – there was not enough bright colors, I missed this expressiveness, brightness. Now I have a real source of heat in my house – these two paintings by Leonid Afremov. And Leonid Afremov are made so well that it seems to me that they will maintain their high quality for many years.

The painting "Еmbankment" from Leonid Aframov's art studio is the first painting, what we bought here. The work of this art school made a special impression for us six months ago and is now it's a real decoration of our house. We know that we can count on the fair work of the local masters to fulfill all the details of our order and quickly send the painting. The final delivery time of the finished work depends on the postal service, but we got the painting in excellent condition. Thank you!

I purchased a "recreation" of a painting titled "Kiss of Passion." I loved the image on the Afremov website, but when I received the recreation, it was very different from the image on the website. Recreations are painted by Afremov's students, and while the subject of the painting is the same, the colors and brush strokes can be very different from what you think you're getting.

I told them I wasn't happy, and we discussed several options. Leonid Afremov were patient and answered all my questions (and some of my questions were pretty ridiculous). Finally, I asked if I could use the Lifetime Exchange program to exchange my recreation for an exact print of the original painting. I emphasized that I loved the colors and brush strokes and I wanted an exact copy even if it was a print and not a painting.

They let me make the exchange and I just received the print. IT IS EXTRAORDINARY! I expected a high-resolution poster or photograph. But their print process somehow prints with paint and gives the canvas a three-dimensional look. The print is so detailed and textured that you can't tell it's just a print unless you look very closely at the canvas and actually touch it.

In the attached photo, the recreation I received is on the left and my new print is on the right. (The lighting is different because these photos were taken almost a year apart, but you get the idea.) While the recreation is a nice painting (and it is an original oil painting), the difference in colors and brush strokes between the recreation and the original are obvious.

If you want an original painting, the recreations are great. Just don't expect your painting to be identical to the image on the website. But if you want the identical image to what you see online, BUY A PRINT! I've been staring at my print for three days and still can't believe how gorgeous it is. They even stretched it onto a frame even though I didn't request that!

The Afremov customer service is fantastic and they will bend over backwards to make you happy. I must've emailed back and forth with them more than 20 times over the past year, and COVID delayed things every step of the way. But in the end, they wanted me to be happy, and I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY PRINT.

THANK YOU to everyone at Afremov for doing whatever it took to make me a satisfied customer. The only way I could be happier is if I could afford to buy the original painting!: D

I am a big fan of Afremov's art from years, I finally managed to place an order for some artwork in September 2020. I decided to order the caffe in the old city (set of 3), which had a special price offer at the time for an original of Leonids which specifically said signed by Leonid etc. Long story short when I received the painting it was signed by the studio in the back rather than the actual artist. I very kindly connected with the team and let them know that I have ordered an original and didn't pay for a studio version, Leonid Afremov said they'll look into. Time passed nobody got back to me until I followed up again - at which point I was informed that yes, we will be sending you the correct item. A month or two passed... I reached out again mentioning that I have not received the original nor any update or communication. At which point no update or reply was given. Another 2-3 months passed, still no update. I reached out again and again very politely asked when I should expect the painting, is there any tracking at-least or anything? Only reply I got was that as they know it is shipped but they will check. Putting COVID situation as an excuse I was patient and calm but I was getting frustrated and the fact that I was getting no updates and I felt that customer relationship did not matter, made the matters worse. I had plans to actually purchase the higher priced originals to have in my art gallery at him but with this kind of back and forth decided not to. And such a shame as I respect and appreciate the work of the artist but TO DATE: JUNE 2021, I have not received the original signed by Leonid that I ordered nor any kind of communication on their part towards this mishap. I do however recieve daily promotional emails from them, so would be helpful if they are as active in customer relationship rather than just advertising and sending out promotional emails.

While I was waiting for my painting, I happened across this website so I was very concerned I had made a mistake. Since there were several recent negative reviews, I felt I needed to share my positive experience. The extremely large painting of Time Square arrived less than 4 weeks after we ordered it, was well packaged and in perfect condition. We paid to have it stretched on a frame and the frame is sturdy and well constructed. Most importantly, the painting is beautiful, bright and fully captures the essence of what Mr. Afremov originally painted. My family and I are very pleased and would buy again from this company

Paintings by Leonid Afremov are a real treasure that I discovered several years ago. I still cannot understand how such art is created. I already have 10 paintings by this artist in my collection, but I want to highlight the Colorful Night Harbor – for some reason this composition is very close to me. It seems to me that everyone will find something of close to him or her in the art of Leonid Afremov. I was very pleased with the delivery, although there was some delay – some documents were missing.

I can´t believe my eyes how many people here consider these reproductions to be beautiful. Here are pictures to compare - the first one Leonid Afremov have on their website and the others which they sent us. I thought everyone could see the difference.

From our mail to Mr. Afremov:,, The overall level of detail is just so basic! Less colors (mostly yellow), such big strokes of brush, even the number of street lamps is wrong... Branches of trees don´t "embrace" the pavement. And why is the reflection of the nearest lamp smallest? I can´t shake the feeling, that this painting is a work of an apprentice or someone who doesn´t care about the quality of his work. We like the painting you offer on the website even more than the original. If it would be possible to exchange the one you sent us for one which would look like the one on your website, we would be glad. In this case, we would appreciate sending a photo of the painting before sending the painting itself. If it wouldn´t be possible, I ask for a refund and will send the amateur version back. It isn´t ugly on the whole, but it is neither what we paid for in the first place. Another "bonus" on the painting is the staple sticked in the middle of the picture (photo also enclosed). We wouldn´t mind that, if the picture looked like it should."

Only one thing I can appreciate - fast communication and delivery. But their reaction to our reproaches was none. You can see photos of pictures they sent us: the same $#*!ty thing.
We asked for a refund and we got it quickly (without shipping ofc). Then we ordered a printed version of another Afremov´s painting from Amazon and it´s way cheaper and beautiful!;)

I am sorry for Leonid Afremov to have sons that desecrate his art this way.

I had a dream to decorate my living room with the paintings of all seasons. But whenever I searched for these paintings, Leonid Afremov all were very expensive. Then I accidentally came across Afremov's website, read all information about him, looked through the website and found out that he has such paintings, and they will not cost me a fortune. I have already ordered the first painting - Lost in Winter, thanks to the website support service that kept in touch with me.

I ordered a recreation for "Rainy wedding" painting. I also emailed afremov.com support and asked them to send me a photo of the actual painting for approval, before sending it to me. Leonid Afremov replied within hours and confirmed they will send a photo, once it's available. After 2 days I received the photo, but did not approve it, as it was not that similar to the original, I replied to them and explained. They said they will send me a new photo, or a different recreation in about a week. I received it 10 days later, and it was beautiful, very similar to the original, so I approved it. They sent it with DHL Express 2 days after my approval, and in another 10 days I received it. The delivery took so long because it was sent from Mexico to Romania, and it had to go through customs. I had to pay customs tax, that was around 30% from the invoiced price of the painting. The painting received is stunningly beautiful, vibrant colors and full of life, much more impressive than the photo. It has texture and smells of oil paint, it really makes me happy just to look at it. It was wrapped in a plastic tube, and I received it safely, without any damages to it. I can't wait to choose a frame for it and hang it on the wall!

Recently, I received my order from Afremov's studio. These were 3 paintings of the artist. The paintings were incredibly beautiful. I never thought it was so beautiful. The internet does not fully convey the beauty of paintings. How can such masterpieces be created with an ordinary palette knife? I am grateful to the studio for the quick execution of the order, constant feedback, and help in choosing the paintings. The package arrived carefully packed. It was clear that the studio staff took care that the paintings reached the buyer in the best possible way.

I ordered a painting as a gift to my wife, she really liked it. She said, firstly, that she wants an original and that she really likes Afremov. At first, I did not understand what the bright spots were, then I figured it out. Now I know what impressionism is :) And she decided on a gift for her mother, she is already choosing a picture on your website. There are still three months before the mother-in-law's birthday. Although our picture did not took long to deliver.

I was a bit hesitant to go through with my purchase after reading some of the reviews but decided to take a risk anyway and I have no regrets. Not sure if I was one of the lucky ones, but my order arrived sooner than expected and the quality of the paintings actually exceeded my expectations. I couldn't afford the actual originals by the artist himself, so after carefully reading the description on Afremov.com, I decided to go with the recreation. I knew it wouldn't be an identical copy but it was pretty darn close!

Happy I found you, guys!
I got introduced to this artist's work by my friend who gave me one of his painting for my birthday. I don't consider myself a huge art connoisseur but there was something special about the painting I received. Of course, it will always have a sentimental meaning because of the person who gifted it to me, but I also slowly became more interested in art and got drawn to this particular style. I have since purchased several paintings of my own and will continue to do so.

I ordered several giclees and a stretched black and white painting. I love how colors pop against darker background. I literally had to stop myself from purchasing more (which will eventually happen anyway). Perhaps right now is not the best time to be spending money on art and décor, but I look at it more as an investment. More into the aura and atmosphere of my home than a financial one, but still. This is not my first purchase from Afremov studio so I already know Leonid Afremov are reliable. Looking forward to receiving my order and will update the review should any issues arise.

My very first investment into art – I'm so excited! I only bought a couple of paintings so far bit I have a feeling I'll be getting more very soon. Paintings arrived separately but both were nice packaged and wrapped securely. It took about three weeks or so but I wouldn't expect an international shipment to arrive super fast especially since I selected free delivery. My paintings look great and I already received several compliments from my friends. Looks like I have a pretty good taste

I have ordered 2 paintings form David & Boris at afremov.com and dealt with them directly over email and texting. My last painting Foggy Morning Park came within 4 days. The colors are so Vibrant and the style is amazing. If you have any question if Leonid Afremov are legit, they are as genuine as they come. I could not be Happier with my paintings. They are gallery size, so you might have to get another house just to hang them. They come with Certificates of Authenticity. So read the site before you purchase. They have ReCreations, Original Copies, Originals and other options. I have a ReCreation and Original Copy and they both light up the room. I just received the second today, so I am going to have to rearrange some pieces.

Ve always wanted to have a real work of art at home. To this end, I turned and watched the websites of more than one art school, but I liked Leonid Aframov's school more than anyone else. From the works of the masters of this school is driven by life, warmth and sincerity. I think that painting with flowers is just the beginning of our collection. We have made sure that here perfectly issued and in time to send an order, so without worries we will order the following works.
