Leonid Afremov

I really love dogs, and as you can see, the artist Leonid Afremov completely shares my passion – in his collection I found a lot of paintings with the images of dogs. Almost all of them made a huge impression on me – so if I had money I'd buy all of them but chose only 2 – Best Friend Dog and Lonely Dog.
I'm still impressed by the painting Lion, which I bought on Afremov.com. This is actually the site of the artist Leonid Afremov. It seems that he died not so long ago, but the paintings are still on sale, which is good news, because Leonid Afremov are very beautiful, just gorgeous! And now they are sold even greatly discounted!

I initially purchased a recreation. I asked for a photo of the actual painting for approval before shipment and was very happy when it arrived.

On the next orders for original one of a kind painting, I was enticed that I could get original painting for free with my orders. I asked for photos before shipment but I was assured that I will get the same thing as what was in the website image. I am now feeling sorry and stupid that I relented. To my disgust, the paintings that I received were mediocre compared to the online images.

I did receive a full refund. I have asked for return labels for the mediocre paintings.

I am sharing this experience to protect potential buyers.

Update: Because of the son and his teams shoddy work, even the painting I received wrong, is now pulling off the wall and needs to be restretched and reframed. Awesome. Looks tacky and gross. And for the record, I own 7 (yes 7), Leonid paintings. Only two are original. The other 5 are "recreations" (albeit bad recreations) that Leonid Afremov kept sending me to shut me up.

ORIGINAL POST: I placed my order, in good faith, was told that it was shipping, FOR 3 WEEKS. Finally received it, and it's not even close to what I ordered. Nothing but excuses and the runaround. Disappointed and frustrated are an understatement. I want what I ordered. But not forced to wait a total of 6 weeks total for it. AND the certificate of authenticity doesn't even match the painting that they sent wrong.
Edit: got ahold of Afremov studios. They want to issue refund instead of sending the correct painting. Bad customer service. Would not recommend.
EDIT #2: Got my refund, so there's that. Re-ordered, and got a painting without an autograph on it. Fussed again, and received the worst version they had, of a completely different painting. This place is ruining the Afremov name. DO NOT PURCHASE. The headache isn't worth what they send. And what they send, it NOT what they advertise.

I ordered an original recreation of Michael Jackson done by Leonid himself only to receive a painting from an amateur that did not resemble the original at all or even look like MJ. I reached out to the studio and had difficulty getting a response. When Leonid Afremov finally responded, I was told there were no more original recreations and so it was done by artists in the studio and would vary from the original. This is not what I ordered and is fraudulent. I have bought from them prior to Leonid's passing and had no issues. I do not believe that if Leonid were still alive that he would allow this to be happening. Customer service is rude, and the Afremov studio does not seem to care they are ripping people off and tarnishing Leonid's name... truly shameful.

My painting disappeared somewhere along the way. It's a shame because it was planned as a gift. I had to buy another gift for the birthday boy. And the order never came. When all imaginable terms had already passed, Leonid Afremov returned the money to me and apologized. Although, I'm sure it's not the studio's fault. Anything can happen during the shipping process. The main thing is that they have not avoided responsibility. I have very pleasant impressions, not offended at all.

Good afternoon! I would like to tell you about the work of the art studio. I really liked that on their website the selection of paintings is very large, the prices are quite reasonable, promotions are regularly held and a painting can be bought at a big discount. The paintings are varied, you can choose to your taste :) For example, I decorated the corridor with my painting, I have an empty wall there. Now it has become very lively and not boring. Thanks for your work!

I really like the paintings by Leonid Afremov, and it took me a long time to order the originals of his work. True, I was afraid of problems associated with long-distance shipping or possible deception (I just never ordered anything on the Internet before). But finally, I made up my mind. I was so worried that I mixed up the painting. I saw it the next day, wrote to the manager. He reassured me, wrote that he would settle everything, he himself re-ordered the desired one. Yesterday I received a long-awaited package! Thanks to the staff!

Recently I bought a painting by Leonid Afremov Musical Clowns. I was looking not just for decoration for my home – I needed a picture with meaning. Of course the artist has a lot of them in his collection, but for some reason I liked this one. When I look at it on the website, it may seem that it looks a little dull, maybe it really is, but believe me, this is only genre specificity, and believe me I really liked these colors. And of course, in the future I will buy several more of these plots, for example the following the Look of Music. I think it will look just as great!

I was initially very skeptical about the very idea of buying a painting, I thought it is just a waste of money. Everything changed when I visited Leonid Afremov's website on the advice of my friend. I bought a painting Wedding Day in Lavenham, Suffolk, England but honestly I thought it would hang in my apartment just for a year, no more. But already 3 years have passed and it is still like new, moreover, because of this name, I bought 3 more paintings by this artist. This is something amazing!

Last month I purchased a total of 7 stretched paintings and, since I have now received 6 of them, I feel that I can post a review. I'm one of the people who one day recently just happened to come across the Leonid Afremov website, immediately fell in love with all of his paintings, and made impulse buys before doing due diligence of reading reviews first. So, when I then started reading reviews and saw some alarming ones, I was extremely worried. Plus, although I understood that I was buying recreation paintings, I had believed that the photo on the website was a photo of the recreated painting that I was buying. I learnt that, in fact, the photos on the website are of the actual original painting and not of the painting that I'd bought. So I got in contact with the Studio and Leonid Afremov promised to send me a photo of each painting before they shipped them to me. That felt reassuring to me and sure enough, they did send me a photo of each painting to approve before they shipped it. For three of the paintings, I approved the first photos they sent me. So they were then shipped to me. However I was not fully satisfied with the paintings in the other three photos that they sent me and therefore did not approve them. So the Studio then sent photos of other recreations of those paintings for me to look at and choose from. I was then able to find ones that I approved of and they were then shipped to me. From the beginning, the communication by the Studio with me has always been brilliant and extremely prompt. Both shipments arrived to me here in New Zealand in just one week from Mexico and I could track them all the way which was fantastic. The paintings were packaged up really well and arrived in perfect condition. Of the six paintings that I have received, one is a Limited Edition Original, four are Recreations started by Studio artists and finished by Leonid and one is a full Studio recreation. I honestly love them all! Most of them are paintings of places that we have traveled to (due to Covid, we really miss travelling overseas) and the paintings provide me with bright & happy memories of our times there. I really want to buy more but we have probably run out of wall space now!

We ordered and got a painting of Leonid Aframov's studio. I would like to note the exceptional talent of the masters of this art school. We love the style and direction of their work. The painting "Corrida" is full of life and movement. We received a large-sized painting created with oil paints on canvas, inserted into a baguette frame. Here is the final design of the works, giving them a complete look. We can recommend buying these paintings are not only for your own pleasure, but also as a gift.

I bought two "recreations" based on the photos on the website. BIG MISTAKE! The photos of the originals (Melody of the Night, and Spirits by the Lake) were really nice. The recreations are different enough that Leonid Afremov just did not have the same feel to them and I do not want them. I am talking the palette knife strokes, the colors, the benches, the lamp posts and the distance perspectives are very different. If I had seen photos of them I would not have bought them for half of the $208 each I paid for them. Boris Afremov promised me two prints of the originals and said they would be ready in 2 to 3 weeks and I could keep the recreations. It has been over five weeks and they wouldn't answer four emails over the last two weeks. So I got on their Facebook page and gave them a bad review and they said they were not ignoring me and they shipped the prints. The tracking numbers David Afremov gave me were for the original order and he said "sorry, I'll get back to you" and I have asked again three times now. They deleted my review on Facebook and now I can't find the "Review" button to follow up on it. Boris gave me his "personal" cell number but he won't answer texts. So, two weeks later they are just giving me the run around. This is, perhaps, why you only see glowing reviews on their website. Go to their website and Facebook page and you'll see vids of them painting in the studio. Sadly, Leonid passed away last year and now there are students sitting there painting "recreations' of the originals like it is a factory. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE! The recreations are not bad paintings at all. But they are NOT the same and they don't feel the same! MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR PHOTOS OF THE ACTUAL COPY YOU WILL RECEIVE! In the two pairs of photos I added, the two pics of the originals are in the middle and the "recreations" are on either end. Compare them for yourself. The colors are vibrant, but look at the perspective of the canal and the walking path receding in the distance. Look at the scrolled metal work on the lamp posts. Look at the bench and the dog. Just different. Not the same feel. Maybe I'm being picky but I want them on my walls so I can enjoy them. And don't expect to get your problems taken care of if you have anything bad to say!

I recently returned from Mexico and wanted my impressions of this country to remain always vivid, which is why I bought a painting by Leonid Afremov called Cozumel that is a small Mexican resort town. Unfortunately, I didn't get there. I hope that I'll go there next time, but for now I'm enjoying the picture of Leonid, it is very bright and always pleasing my eyes. But I ran into small problems with delivery – the customs requested some additional documents and because of this the order was delayed a little, but the delivery service contacted me and explained what the problem was, so I was not worried.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Afremov's family and his team for the wonderful paintings I recently received. I am used to purchasing all my furniture, décor and art in person, but things have changed drastically and seems like everything is moving in the direction of online shopping. Needless to say, I was a bit anxious scrolling through, what it seemed like, an endless gallery of paintings. It took me a few days to finally make up my mind. But all worries aside – I am now very happy with my choices!

We ordered the oil on canvas "Follow the Leader".

The painting had quite significant differences compared to the original. We do like the final product and have it up hanging on the wall already.

The most important thing to note if you are considering a purchase is that it is only a recreation of the original and will not have the exact features that you might have enjoyed when you saw the original online.

In our case, on "Follow the Leader" we found the heads of the horses came out a bit funny - almost disturbing. But it does make the painting quite fascinating to look at for a long time.

We are overall quite happy with having the painting up in our living room, and we still think it is quite fun! We would just advise other customers not to expect the original :)

The painting Mediterranean Mood by Leonid Afremov is simply cool! I love these colors! It's very stunning and modern!
I already bought on Afremov.com several times and I never had any problems! The last time I bought a painting called Mediterranean Afternoon, because in this painting I found unusual paints, unusual for Leonid Afremov who likes to use yellow red orange but this paining is not so bright, but this is the whole point! A wonderful picture, I love it very much!

My husband was a fan of Leonid Afremov for years and made me discover his beautiful artwork. Leonid was a very gifted painter. These last couple of years we bought a total of seven original paintings that brighten up our home and bring joy to our hearts every time we gaze upon them. Leonid Afremov also have a five star costumer service. Any question or issue you have they will quickly answer or provide you with a solution. All paintings are quickly delivered in a solid packing that protects them during transport.

The painting with balloons, which we bought in Leonid Aframov's studio has a special nostalgic meaning for us. We are very glad that we were able to find a painting, just because of our thoughts and mood. Perhaps, at the time of its creation, the artist felt feelings like ours, so Leonid Afremov find such a lively response in our hearts. After the ordering and the readiness of the painting, since its submission, we waited 1.5 months and got the painting in complete safety. Thanks to the masters and employees of the studio!

We bought 5 paintings and Leonid Afremov were sent to us separately. Though we waited a few weeks for all the paintings to finally arrive, my husband and I are so happy with them! The paintings are all so beautiful and brilliant, so much better than what we see online. Best of all the staff at Afremov are prompt in responding to emails, very helpful and from the way the paintings were packed, I know they take great care of each piece that is sent out. I recently ordered the "Branch Over Water" painting from the Afremov studios in a 20w x 36h based on the image of the piece that was advertised on their web page. Their first failure was sending the wrong size (requested dimensions reversed). After months of waiting Leonid Afremov did send "A painting" with the right dimensions but it looked as if it was painted by a child and not even close to the painting advertised. They then claimed that it was the same painting that i approved (from the web page) which is a lie from top to bottom. The piece i got was absolute garbage, and they MUST have known that but sent it anyway. How his family could disgrace the good name of Leonid Afremov this way is difficult to comprehend but they did and continue to do so. There is no excuse for this kind of rip off and i advise anyone reading this to avoid these thieves at all cost. They need to be put out of business.
