Worst experience I've ever had buying supplements or ANYTHING ONLINE
Lucky Vitamin should call themselves Unlucky Vitamin, because that's what you are if you order anything from them. I needed, and still do, a certain supplement for a debilitating illness I've got that my naturopath recommended I go back to taking. This is not a supplement that you can go into any health food shop and buy. I have always had to order it online, and only certain websites sell it. I was looking for a new supplier for it because the price has gone up anyway but the companies I had bought it from in the past had started charging sales tax even though they're not in the state where I've been living. They said there was one bottle in stock that would be shipped within 24 hours and the others were back ordered and would take 2 or 3 days. They offered a quantity discount, the more you bought the lower the price would be, so I ordered 18 bottles along with 2 bottles of something else they said was in stock. I'd also signed up for autoship because that was supposed to give me a further discount, only 5%, but better than nothing, and I will probably have to cancel that later. I am pretty desperate for the one supplement and could have bought a bottle from elsewhere for a higher price but which I would have got by now because the other company sends smaller orders overnight for no extra charge if I would have known that they weren't really going to ship the bottle in stock when they said they would. Up until now, I've been used to dealing with supplement companies who are reliable and with whom I know where I stand, and one of my mistakes was thinking that Lucky Vitamin would operate in the same way.

Lucky Vitamin have terrible communication when it comes to actual orders, and even their marketing emails are delayed, but they have come, several of the marketing ones I'm talking about. This was on Monday, it's Wednesday now and they still haven't even shipped the supplement I really need, and all I have ever got are auto emails to my messages to them asking about the order. I got a general auto email saying that most back ordered items actually usually take up to 7 days, not 2 - 3. If I wasn't suffering so badly, normally I wouldn't be so upset so soon, but it very much seems like these people are nothing better than liars who don't keep their promises and don't care about their customers. I tried live chat this morning and all I got was a bot that kept me waiting for over 20 minutes whilst I was on the phone to the bank, before I gave up, saying the right person would come on, trying to query why there were 2 pending charges from my bank that more than doubled the cost of the order up to almost $1,000. This was the only message I then sent them that I even have got a reply to, and no apology, either, not that an apology would be enough. Also, when you send a message, an auto email comes that says it can take 72 hours, 3 days, to get a reply from them.

I don't think it is too much to ask to do what you promise as a company nor to keep the customer informed about what is going on with their order. Now, it's too late to order from somebody else today, the earliest I could get the supplement from somebody else now would be Friday, and due to the poor communication from Lucky Vitamin, I might pay all that extra money to buy one elsewhere and then they all might arrive on the same day.

What upsets me the most is the lies and the lack of communication, leaving me wondering and everything up in the air. It almost seems like there is nobody really running this business.

I have never before now bought supplements from a company that was so inefficient and lacking in communication. I would recommend anybody else to keep looking and avoid this company. I wish I had done.

Update - It's now several hours since I wrote this, and I just now got an email from LV saying I had unread messages. It was the so-called live chat. Somebody called Shawn was saying 'It's been a while since I've heard from you,' and went on to say he was going to disconnect. You must be joking. He was never on live chat that entire time when I was.

And I still have yet to get any replies about what is going on with my actual order. Run from these people. It just gets worse and worse. Unprofessional in the extreme.

Update - 19 June - apart from that one message I got, none of my other messages have ever been answered. I did receive one bottle of the item I ordered 18 of on Saturday, the day after I'd received a bottle from another supplier that came overnight, but to date none of those others have been sent to me, despite their claim of it taking 2 - 3 days for out of stock items to be shipped, and all I've got from them since have been marketing emails.

I have just checked their website, and it now says that product is still back ordered but now there is no ship date. When I ordered, it said 2- 3 days. I have sent an email telling them I want to cancel the 17 remaining bottles and that I will be disputing charges with the bank if necessary. I sent it to their email address, not through their website, which now says I have no account there, and I've got an automated reply back acknowledging receipt so they can't say they never received my email.

For a change, I received a reply within a few minutes cancelling my order with an apology, although I'm not sure how sincere it was. They were probably relieved because I don't think they can come up with the product. Now I have to work out how much I should have been charged for the 3 items I did receive, and I hope I don't have to dispute it with the bank. Even though it costs more, I suppose I'll have to stick with the reliable companies like iherb and pureformulas unless I can find somebody else. This has been a horrible experience, and I just want to put it behind me and forget they ever existed.

DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING
I refuse to do business anymore with luckyvitamin.com. More than once I have received email coupon offers that were deceptive & false advertising. Today, I spoke on the phone for about 30 mins (lots of waiting) with a nice customer service rep "Russell", but
He said the coupon showed on their end was only good for 24 hrs (not 48 hours as stated in the email I received with the coupon) and later he claimed there were excluded items (although the exact personal care items showed the discount when I put them into my online cart/basket & the email stated all personal care items got the 10% discount). Last night (same day of receiving my coupon in my email), I was adding more personal care items to my online cart (which were the qualifying items for the 10% coupon), Lucky Vitamin all showed they received the discount as I placed the item into the cart to buy. When I went to my cart to check out, I had to re-enter the coupon code CARE10OFF as it had disappeared. It said that coupon had expired. I tried re-entering the coupon several times to get it to take it, I emailed Lucky Vitamin at 9 PM & called them this morning. I have been a customer for years, but won't do business with people who use deceptiveness, false advertisement and untruths. They are not my friend (although they pretend to be your friend) or who I want to give business to. I do not want to support them with my hard earned money. Like I mentioned, this isn't the first time I had trouble with Lucky honoring a coupon they sent me. I have several other companies online that are upfront, transparent (not hiding), wonderful to do business & don't waste my time.

Competitive pricing
First time shopping on LuckyVitamin

I found their site through google search, through one of the "shop on google" sponsored links with pictures (it had the lowest price option).

Vitacost has been my go to shop for various supplements and some food products.

I was surprised to find out that many of the products had lower prices than Vitacost or Amazon

One thing I liked about it is that Lucky Vitamin offered individual package deals on protein bars. I could purchase different flavors of protein bars with the same price as the bulk package. Wish they had offered more flavors with individual package options.

I wish they also offer BOGO deals or occasional 10-20% off on entire order type of deals as Vitacost

Also, I'd find them to be very competitive if they lowered their free shipping minimum purchase limit, say to $35 or so. Current $49 limit is the same is Vitacost but since Vitacost is more popular (I assume), it needs extra perks. Walmart offers free 2-day shipping for just $35 purchase. It's a smaller company so maybe they should consider offering free standard shipping with such orders.

Good products, difficulty ordering
There are fantastic products, but the interface was difficult to use and I got frustrated each step of the way. International shipping was also incredibly pricey, while a similar competitor ships quickly and reliably with Sagawa for very cheaply. I wanted the option to make an account after shopping but before checking out, but you could only "check out as guest" and create an account after placing the order. I reached out to customer service and used the chat, but felt like the person on the other end didn't know or care about Lucky Vitamin, that it must have been an outsourced third party. I didn't get the help I sought. In the end, I placed an order, but rather than feeling excited for it to come (like I usually am with the competitor I routinely shop with) I feel frustrated and like I spent more money than intended. The shipping I ended up paying for was much more expensive than the one I actually selected, but the checkout process seemed glitchy. I hope to be pleasantly surprised in the future, but right now, I just don't feel great about the whole transaction.

Improved the quality of my life
I started using Lucky Vitamins about 4 years ago because I had several chronic digestive and joint issues and needed specific supplements on a daily basis. Shopping online was the best way to compare brands, ingredients, dosage, and get the great discounts. Finding the right products for my health has improved my quality of life because I figured out the right supplements and feel so much better. I now order vitamins for myself and my extended family members and friends. I have discovered new products that have contributed to my health regimen. I prefer getting my vitamins and supplements here versus shopping at the health food store because it takes forever to scan the isles to find what I am looking for which may be out of stock. Shopping online has saved me from that frustration and I always find what I need at a great price. One of my fav products I tell everyone about is called Advanced Enzymes which helps digest food and my stomach pains are now resolved. I also ordered gluten free food for a friend as a holiday gift and he loved it.

Literally the worst international shipping and customer service ever
I placed an order on Feb 8, shipping to Europe, which was supposed to arrive Feb 10-15. It is still not here (feb 28), and now I am leaving the country for two weeks and won't be here to receive it.

On February 14, a day before the last delivery day, it was still in Illinois. After this time, I contacted customer service through the live chat, and was told the delay must be due to customs, even though the product hadn't arrived in my country yet.

Then on February 20th- 5-10 days after the delivery date- tracking shows it arrived in Lisbon. If the delays since THEN has been due to customs, that is one thing, but it was massively late in even hitting my country.

Today I contacted customer service through the live chat again, and was again told the delay was only due to customs, with no acknowledgment to the delay arriving in Portugal. I was simply told it takes a while to arrive to my country, and that the delay was customs. I am not on Mars. Portugal is the closest European country to the USA. This sort of delay never happens with other online orders, including iherb and amazon. Also, if it was going to take that long to arrive in Portugal, why was I even given a quicker delivery time to begin with? It did not even leave the USA for 6 days after I ordered it, and presumably was then sent by boat judging by the time it took.

Luckyvitamin was not the cheapest price either for the product OR for shipping. I ordered here because the shipping time was quicker.

NOW there is an additional problem. I am leaving the country for two weeks, and will be off continent. I won't be here to receive the package, or be able to make or receive calls to the courrier. This is why I paid more to ship it faster. I have been told that if it is sent back, if I can't receive it, I will receive a refund eventually for the product but not for the shipping. Also that I will have to pay more for customs, which is expected. I also expected up to a 15 days delay at customs, as indicated. I took that into account with ordering and the delivery time I was quoted. I do not WANT to return the product, as I still need it and haven't reordered elsewhere because I kept expecting it to arrive.

I am not even most disappointed at the shipping delay, but rather the total apathy and lack of service and acknowledgment by luckyvitamin for the original shipping delay.

I suppose I should have stuck with iherb or amazon, given this experience.

Healthy Preducts
I'm highly satisfied with Lucky Vitamin since Lucky Vitamin carry natural cotton female products at really good prices. The more you buy, the more you save. Free shipping with $49 minimum purchase. You can save even more if you join their Lucky Vitamin Plus membership. Get additional 10% off plus free shipping at $25 minimum purchase all for only $49.95/year. More savings with refer a friend: $5 each. They are very good in carrying organic products and have such a variety and not only vitamins. Plenty of deals, savings, new products and even their own Lucky Vitamin Products: herbs, home and personal care, aromatherapy & food,. They offer reward points that can be used for future discounts. Money back guarantee, 1 year guarantee on their own brand products. They also have the Lucky Kids program which helps educate kids on the importance of healthy living, nutrition and fitness.
Overall, I'm really happy with this company which I found on the internet accidentally over 4 years ago and I'll continúe to do business with them for years to come. Thank you once again Lucky Vitamin.

Great prices and great products!
While good prices and good products are -- by themselves -- or even taken together -- not enough for everyone to like a business, Lucky Vitamin certainly don't hurt! I'm already in love with this business not just because of those two things (though they are very important), but also something more ineffable: there is a good attitude about their whole website that makes me feel like more than just another paying "machine." I know some people, like my wife, are still totally sold on businesses like Amazon, and I understand that to a great extent. But I still prefer a smaller, less monolithic business model. And while an even better price might be found at a place like Amazon, I just always want to veer toward the smaller firms as long as I feel that the price difference isn't significant enough to justify. (And besides, let's face it -- when firms become really big and have put their competitors out of business, they almost always start losing those ultra low prices, or start shorting their employees, or both. Just think of Walmart, for example. Or Exxon -- ever get super cheap gas there? Or anywhere?)

Terrible Customer Service!
I recently TRIED to place a simple order with Lucky Vitamins. Two online attempts wouldn't work, kept rejecting my street address, again and again. I checked my address carefully, it was all correct so obviously a glitch at their site.

I then emailed them and was told to phone instead to place my order. I tried that and was then told Lucky Vitamin were out of the items I wanted!

Then about a week later they sent me one alert after another(about 10 in a period of less than a week)that the items I wanted were now back in stock.

I then phoned in AGAIN and this time, a very $#*!y rep. Informed me that they couldn't take a Canadian order by phone! When I tried to explain about all the previous delays and issues online, she just kept interrupting, telling me there was nothing she could do about it. No apologies, just rude and unhelpful.

This company is the worst! I'm sticking with Amazon Canada and Well.ca from now on. I don't have the time or interest to bother with this kind of BS!

Absolute crooks - now trying to charge me $576.70 for an autoshipment cancelled several months ago
Several months ago I had such a horrendous experience with this company that I cancelled everything to do with them and got email confirmation. A few days ago, when I almost forgot Lucky Vitamin existed, I got an email about an upcoming auto-shipment. I immediately emailed them back and told them there was no such auto-shipment and that everything had been cancelled several months ago. There was no reply from them.

It's practically the middle of the night for me, but I've been awake, so I checked my emails, and about half an hour ago I got an email alert from my bank that these crooks were trying to charge me $576.70. I immediately rang the bank to dispute this charge, and I also sent another message to this horrible company that there was no such auto-shipment and that I was disputing their fraudulent charge with my bank.

This is even further reason to stay well away from these people. I can't believe their nerve.

Their customer service is the worst.
If I could give them negative stars I would. On May 23,2015, I placed an order for $150.59 and paid for it via my PayPal account. Five minutes later I called their customer service and cancelled the order and placed a new order for $211.72 because I had forgotten to order something that I needed. It is now 10 days later and I still have not gotten a refund on my money in PayPal for the $150.59 and I called and talked to their customer service department at least 3-4 times and Lucky Vitamin kept blaming it on PayPal, saying PayPal has to issue the credit, but when I talked to PayPal they say that is not true. I asked for a supervisor at Lucky Vitamin and they were not helpful at all and promised the money would be back in my PayPal account by NO LATER THAN Friday, May 29,2015, but here it is May 30,2015, and no money. So, unfortunately, I had to file a claim against them with PayPal. They really have terrible customer service. Compared to Swanson Vitamins and Vitacost, these people really suck when it comes to taking care of their customers. I buy from Swanson Vitamins and Vitacost all the time because they have awesome discounts. The only reason I bought from Lucky was because they were having a Memorial Day special (not as good as the ones Swanson's and Vitacost were having, but Swanson's and Vitacost don't carry the items I was looking for) and I thought I would give Lucky a try. I am very disappointed that I did and wish I could cancel my other order now. DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! They need to learn how to treat their customers better.

What a nightmare!
What a nightmare!
I placed my order on June 24th: 12 deodorants.
After placing the order, I asked them not to mention the word "Lucky Vitamin" on the package because Customs in Italy would hold the package thinking it's some pills or something else you cannot get in Europe and is forbidden.
Lucky Vitamin told me they couldn't because as good Americans, they always know better than others.
Sure enough, the package got hold at customs on July 2nd and I haven't received anything yet. We are September 27th now!
They don't want to deal with customs and tell me I should call them, which of course is impossible!
Communication with Alisha the "Happy Wellness Ambassador" is like spitting in the wind. I sent many emails and she doesn't help at all!
They don't want to send me the money back because they want the package back, which I don't have.
It's a real nightmare!
Don't ever buy anything with them if you don't live in the USA! Trust me, you will regret it!

LuckyVitamin is a scam, Save your money and time. The company has no integrity
I was looking to buy some essential oils & vitamin supplements. Came across this website & their prices were very reasonable compared to most online stores. So save some money i did make my first purchase online. The delivery was to made in about 3 to 5 business days through Landmark Global. I did not receive the products ordered on the respective date, so late evening i was trying to contact LuckyVitamin and found out that Lucky Vitamin do not have customer service personal but simply one department to only place orders. I spoke to that person but he mentioned he cannot help and has no access to follow up but to take orders and payments. I was told to contact by email or by Robotic chat. I did the robotic chat and they said they will investigate. It will take couple of days. I was checking the courier company called Landmark Global and they too did not have a customer service person that i could speak too, but simply an email, which i did write to, but did not hear back from them. I then started to search about both these companies online and it happened to be a scam, a fictitious company & i was not the only one scammed. My heart sank as it was a considerable amount and i am jobless right now. The only reason i ordered the items was to keep myself healthy and boost my immune system. I then contacted credit card company and explained the same, they said they will investigate and it may take about 10 to 14 business days. I am writing to save others from being scammed in times of such challenges and difficulties

Sales Prevention team disbanded - Jan 22,2018
My original review written on Dec 22,2016 under the title "Sales Prevention team pretending to be Customer service" described a suddenly new and unnecessary customer service procedure where I was required to phone in a confirmation after placing my online order. In spite of several years of successful ordering, orders where placed on hold until I would call in to answer some basic questions such as name, address which defeated the purpose of online ordering. The customer service team decided to enforce this stupid policy and chose to cancel my order and account, upon my ultimatum. Some time in June of 2017, my account was unexpectedly reactivated with the resumption of the weekly special notifications. I decided to try this site again, and all orders have been properly processed. LuckyVitamin no longer enforces this useless voice order verification process, it would seem. I suggest to shop and always verify the prices but there are deals to be found at this site. So far the service and timely shipments have been very good.

Misleading all round
Without realising it, this company's website leads you to believe you're ordering from the UK - but you're not. This means that, although you're paying in sterling, when you get to the checkout you will be paying a lot for shipping (£7.26 on an order worth only £16.70). Worst of all, when the order arrives in this country you are liable for customs charges (£12.81 on this same order!).

If you try and contact the company, their answer is basically "Hard luck, not our problem" and that's it. As you've (unwittingly) ordered from a company outside the UK, you don't have any real comeback under UK law.

I've refused the order so I can't comment on the quality of the items but, given the tricky way the website leads you into believing you're ordering within the UK and the appalling customer service, I wouldn't be at all sure that the quality is trustworthy.

Definitely best avoided.

Has good prices on multiple items from soaps to health foods and vegan vitamins
I have been using Lucky Vitamin for about four years now to order nutritional yeast flakes and other hard to find items like vegan kids chewable vitamins and hair and nail formulas that are free from preservatives and colors, etc. Lucky Vitamin offer fair prices and usually have items in stock and ship rapidly, though their packaging often is sparse so things can roll around or get crushed if not in a hard sealed package.
Their website offers list of ingredients and allergen information so it is great if you have food or skin allergies.
Shop around because some of their prices are more expensive than local stores, but mostly they offer good prices and quality items.
Free shipping requires you to spend nearly $50 to get free shipping, which makes you buy things you don't really need at a price you don't really want to pay.
Some of the natural herbal cures do not work worth a flip, but they do allow you to review them. Don't believe all the reviews. I tried a menopausal formula that people raved about and it did not help me in the least.
Also be aware that some of the herbs they sell taste horrible even when encapsulated and have an after taste burp-up that will floor you!
Their recently redesigned website is really harder to navigate than their old one, but if you are looking for detailed information with customer reviews and a wide choice of natural and whole health foods and supplements, they are on an equal footing with other companies and often have slightly better deals.
Beware the bargains though. 25% off of something priced at $30 and valued closer to $8 is NOT a bargain.
Also be careful of dosage size. You may thinkg 8.95 for 30 pills is not bad, but if you have to take three a day for one dose, then 18.95 for one dose in one pill is actually a better bargain... do your math and compare prices and read reviews.

Awful Company!
I have been ordering from this company for years. When I went on vacation to Los Angeles this summer, I placed a substantial order to be sent to my hotel. Lucky Vitamin held my order because of the change in the shipping address, but did not notify me.

When I inquired, I asked them to express ship my order at their cost because of their failure to notify me. Remember, I was a consistent customer, spending over $1,000 a year with them! Lucky Vitamin refused and were rude. Apparently, my money is not good enough for them and they, like THRIVE MARKET, don't give a hoot about losing revenue.

I tried to contact their parent company, GNC and was disconnected one time, promised a callback two times, and never heard from anyone. I am no longer paying their salaries by making purchases from Lucky Vitamin.

When these small companies become successful, they are sold to horrible corporations: Lucky Vitamin=GNC, Jet.com=Walmart, Vitacost=Kroger... and, of course, Amazon just bought Whole Foods.

Small businesses used to be the "backbone" of American Business. No more! This is very, very dangerous and very sad!

CON ARTISTS
Ordered Nov 2016, no arrival. Enquired 20 Dec was told had ended up in Germany(!), now rerouted but allow 15 working days. Today still not arrived. Said as a show of good faith send replacement and if the first order arrives I would send that back to them. Flat no to that. Now saying I should wait a further 15 days, I would need to contact customs "since you have to pay tax and duties in order to receive your package. I can only refund if the package is returned to our warehouse within 60 days." Strange that as it says 90 days on their website! "In the event the package is lost I will not be able to refund since this is an uninsured package"!
Bit of a win win situation for them. It's not arrived but Lucky Vitamin have my money. I can only get a refund if it is returned them within 60 days but the website says 90 days and if it is lost you won't get your money back anyway. Avoid like the plague. They talk about "Spread the Wellness" I would say spread the word to avoid them!

Hapless, Bewildering Shipping Practices
I ordered 4 one gallon bottles of Aloe Vera juice. Only 2 made it to me. The others were damaged in transit. Over the next 2 months, Lucky Vitamin sent repeated shipment of bottles to replace the two broken ones. Every one was damaged in shipping and the juice spilled out. Customer service was attentive but shipping was a disaster! Out of 10 bottles of product shipped only 2 made it intact. The rest were broken and the juice spilled out.

I understand the shipping dept tries to pack lightly to use as little packing material as possible (certainly noble intent to not waste resources). Each shipment had one small layer of bubble wrap in a tight box. Any shipping carrier would break them. However, by using a box too small and too little bubble wrap they have wasted > 100 times the materials. So to save $1 dollar of bubble wrap and cardboard (on a slightly bigger box), the shipping folks wasted several boxes, bubble wrap, 8 plastic gallon bottles and 8 gallons of product.

The customer service rep was apparently unable to convince the shipping dept to package it safely and finally gave up. She ultimately said their shipping dept could not get it to me in one piece and is issuing me a refund. I rarely give bad reviews. I'd prefer to give many compliments and much praise and few complaints, but this is bad enough that the story deserves telling. Maybe they will get the picture and make changes. Very puzzling! Very disappointing!

Everyone so nice but coupon codes and ordering process need work
I found lucky vitamin through a friend and have ordered a couple of times but often find myself deciding it's easier and just as inexpensive to just pick standard staples up. I like good values and often shop when I get a discount code but inevitably, it is not in the too short timeframe of three days and the code expires. Then I call customer service, let them do the order all over (because Lucky Vitamin can't see my cart) and then I get discount. Too cumbersome compared to most every other online shopping experience. Why is three days the magic number? People travel, they aren't out of products etc. Give me some time to get the discount and shop at MY convenience and I will take the time to browse all your interesting products and likely buy more. This review process annoying as well... I can't seem to post without registering for site jabber? I care enough about lucky vitamin to do it, but don't think I should be forced to for my review to post. Will unsubsribe immediately
