IF I COULD GIVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. 0*, I WOULD
If I could give them no stars I would. I used the MyMetro app yesterday to try and get an issue resolved with an app that wasn't uploading to my phone correctly. 2 times I started a conversation w/a rep via messaging and both times MetroPCS started to help me and then just fell off the conversation, not responding to my "Hello, are you still there?" So today, I call to try and resolve this. 1st rep: asks me a bunch of q's, says she's going to reset my phone n that our call will disconnect and that I need to turn the phone off and restart it and "the app will work." I did that and no, the app still wouldn't open. So I call back. This next rep starts talking to me and then disconnects our call and conveniently disconnected the automatic survey at the end, so I couldn't give her a bad review. I try to call back 3rd time. Now this time, I'm unable to use my phone at all. I have no service. Thank God I have a landline. So I call from the landline, for a supv. I spent 56 minutes on the phone w/this person, asking me security questions like what month did I open my account? I DON'T KNOW, I'VE HAD THIS LINE FOR LIKE 5 YRS., SERIOUSLY?" So, she finally gets into my account and says that I'm disconnected from the tower and that she was going to reconnect me to the tower. But she wasn't able to do that so she opened a ticket. At the very end of the call, she read her little script and all I heard was "you'll hear from someone within 1-5 days, thank you for being a great customer and have a..." I SAID, "HOLD UP, WHATTT? 1-5 days? So you disconnect me from the tower, now I have NO SERVICE AND IT'S YOUR FAULT AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 1-5 DAYS TO GET IT FIXED?" I try to be nice to customer service people because that's what I do and it's not easy but this rep was reading that script so fast and trying to get me off the phone because she probably has people hearing that 1-5 day bit and freaking out all the time. She gave me this ticket number and just kept repeating herself that it'll be 1-5 days and I'll get a call on my 'provisionary' phone, like cut out the big words, you're gonna call me on my landline to fix the problem YOU CREATED with my cell service. I asked her wtf I'm supposed to do because I use this phone for my job and so many other things and she just said that she was sorry but yes, 1-5 days, what will be the best time to reach me on the landline? I SAID, I DON'T KNOW, because now my whole life and job is screwed up because of YOUR ERROR! So, now I'm going to have to stay home and wait for Metro to call me sometime between now and Saturday? SERIOUSLY? THEY ARE THE WORST, I've had many issues over the years, especially with the tower problems but they were always able to reconnect me once I called in. This time they disconnect me and aren't able to reconnect me. I'm switching providers tomorrow. THIS IS JUST COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

An employee stole my monthly payment and was told by customer care that I was a liar
I am honestly still in shock that I was treated like I was at fault. Im old-school and still have faith in people and to be treated like it was no big deal from every single customer service person was disheartening. And when I prove through the video tapes that I was not lying I just want them to change there approach on the way MetroPCS treat a customer that has been stolen from by a fellow employee. One said I should go to the store and, I can't recall exactly what he wanted me to do or say but I think that was totally putting me in a dangerous sitation. And on top of that I'm a single mom aand I was on a 30.00 plan and I had to pay 57.00 this month. Unbelievable. If I wasn't struggling I wouldn't have paid but I'm struggling as it is. Im still in shock. The guy that took my money works at METRO PCS ON HUDSON AND MCGUFFY IN COLUMBUS OHIO. Im going back tomorrow and im going to pretend nothing's wrong and somehow get the guys name... He will not get away with this

Worst service ever.
I wish I could give this company a negative 10. Customer service is garbage and no help at all, internet lol that's a joke in my town of 3,000. I have used metro PC's before for a long time and MetroPCS were good well at Time they were. Now days I have nothing but internet problems and I complain to them and I get fed lies after lies all different, Customer service lol lucky to get someone who speaks good English other than that pure garbage and I have actually been hung up on alot. Today is June 7 2017 and today was the worst ever, to get a simple text out I had to restart my phone and yes I did this so much I lost count. I went on to there website to see if I can contact corporate about this and surprise surprise you can not reach corporate at all they don't have a email, address, or anything for you to contact corporate. I had enough of this, it has effected my job and my ability to get another job and they don't care so I'm giving up and moving to another company. Metro PCs has gone to the dumps and needs a major overhaul. PS... I have told them they need more towers in my town and it's fallen on deaf ears cause all they care about is money.

Unprofessional staff
On july 15, my aunt went to the store and got a added line on my account. The sale associate didnt ask for a pin or nothing. I didnt know it was her so i disconnected the phone number
Yesterday july 21 she went back to the store to connect it again but this time she called me cause I figure it out when she call me to give me her new number and it was the same number I told metropcs to disconnect...
I ask her that if MetroPCS ask you for a pin and nothing, so I told her to put the sales associated on the phone he told me he didnt have to ask her since the account is in her name... no, I had metro pcs over 10years and its alawys been in my name... he didnt ask for id, no pin or any information... I told him it has a pin and he said he didnt have to ask her any information.
On the account it has my name not my aunt and my personal information... if it was someone else to do damage or steal my credit info... he will give it to them

The worst
Me and my husband switch to Metro PC we bought you new phones along with the unlimited plan. As soon as we walked out of the store I started to have problems with my brand new phone. It kept saying please insert your sima card and my Sims card was inserted. MetroPCS informed me that I needed to take my sims card out and reinsert it. Well I didn't know how and it was not my place to do so. Not to mention I was not able to use my phone emergency calls only then my phone was not able to access my contacts. Called then numerous times to no avail. The towers are constantly down and my husband uses his phone for work but of course phones were not working but still expect us to pay our bill however they were willing to give us a $1.80 credit my husband's phone broke after having it for 2 weeks which they said was a manufacturer defect and refused to replace it even tho we had insurance. They are the rudest unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I honestly don't know how they are. Still in business. We switched phone services and would not go back with them if they paid my bill for the rest of my life. I guarantee the owner and ceo does not have meteo

Didn't receive a warranty phone
I went to the metro PC's store on El Dorado in Stockton CA. I was told my phone would be mailed to me directly at my residence then with no avail the employee said it would arrive at that store with no avail then after almost 2 weeks it went to the Metro PC's store on Porter Ave. I spoke to Jim whom gave me good service so far &: said he would take the phone to El Dorado for my convenience. When I arrive to pick up my warranty phone the female workers told me I needed to give them the useless phone before I could get my warranty phone that I paid a lot of money phone. No time before did the employee fix her mouth to tell me that prior. Her & her other co-workers were snickering about the situation you would of thought I was getting service from a Jr high school & not over grown employees I received terrible service. The worker didn't tell me I needed $23.00 to receive my phone either. I felt like MetroPCS got a kick out of giving me aweful service. I wouldn't of treated a stray dog the way they treated me looking at one another and giggling. So sad. I need my phone. I was never told anything about bringing the broken phone when the warranty phone arrives. I brought when I went in to show her how it wasn't holding a charge. That was the worst device I've had with Metro PCS. This occured Jan 20 2021. I feel like I got robbed I need my phone.

Easy Choice
I have been a customer with Metro PCS for over three years now. No major issues have occurred within this time frame. The cell phone service is great in my present location. However, I have been to rural areas just to have no signal. Thus, one should check with Metro PCS for coverage in the area prior to purchasing phone and plans. Anyhow, customer service line via chat or phone will solve everyday problems with ease. Phones themselves are dependable and affordable. Obviously some will perform better than others. Prepaid cell phones plans are also affordable. Metro PCS in some cases will allow two day extensions for prepaid customers who are unable to pay their bill on time. Furthermore, exclusive deals for new customers are presented on a regular basis. I would like to see deals for existing customers such as free phone upgrades. Hints the four stars. Subtract that and I have no problems with Metro PCS. As a cell phone service provider, Metro PCS has been excellent.

You're just another phone number to Metro PCS!
Hey Karen told you I'm going to tell the world. Well MetroPCS says that MetroPCS value their long-time loyal customers but they don't because when you have an issue over $20 they could care less. Got a new phone back in December and the representative of the store added two charges that I never asked for a headset protection and a scam shield for $7 a month well I wasn't expecting that charge so I didn't pay attention my bill for a couple months and then I came across it I called they said it was taken care of. Fast forward 2 weeks and I know there's no you know positive bounce on my account so I call again and wait 30 minutes with the guys putting me on hold getting back on put me on hold saying they're working on it well about 30 after 30 minutes I say Jerry Jerry he he just left me wasted 30 minutes of my time I call back and talk to Karen if Karen's her real name and she's proceeds to tell me that they can't refund that far back and basically they don't care that they would lose a 10-year customer over $20 I should have never been charged it therefore we shouldn't have never been having that conversation value customers my ass and I don't know I'm saving everyone else from and telling the world what a awful awful experience I had with your company 10 years $20 over $20 I'd rather go to boost cricket AT&t anybody else I'm so ashamed that I had been with this company this long and I will never ever ever ever give them a positive critique in my life s*** company s*** s*** s***!

Metro PCS are Rip-offs!
If there was a black star to hit to show people not to go with Metro POC I'd hit it! I'm so outraged it's not funny. I'm a disabled person on a low fixed income. 10 days ago I lost a phone not with Metro in the back of a Uber that I wasn't use to using and my phone fell out and I had no way of contacting them because I didn't have access to computer. I then got my old metro phone that was broken and messed up but still worked and got service on it. I paid $43.00 I didn't have since I just had paid by phone bill on my other driving around somewhere so 30 minutes later after telling my younger friends my problem MetroPCS knew how to get a hold of Uber and I got my phone back so I called Metro back to tell them and file a claim to get my $43 back I needed very much. Today is March 22nd 2019. 10 days after I filed my claim with my claim number, agent number and all pertinent info and they yell me ever so politely they're working on it like they always say and after 30 minutes they tell me they have no record of anything so I'm here to basically run them in the ground! I can't believe it. I was with them for over 5 years before and left due to poor reception and now they are theives! What in the world are they doing? I have the proof of the $43 payment to them on the 8th of March and the proof of me calling them same day to cancel and get my money back.
METRO PCS AKA METRO POC DOESNT DESERVE ANY BUSINESS IF THEY WANT TO RIP OFF SOMEONE WHO IS ON SSDI AND NEEDS EVERY BIT TO MAKE ENDS MEET ALONG WITH FIGHTING EXTREMELY POOR HEALTH TOO.
I usually let things go but this I felt I had to say. Makes me mad that a company making billions wouldn't refund a legitimate claim of $43 dollars to a former customer. That's the way they roll... maddening!

Horrible phone company! Don't make the same mistake I did!
I used to have Verizon for 2 years and once my contract was up unfortunately I decided to try another phone company to try and save some money. I had had MetroPCS in the past and it wasn't a bad service so I decided to just go there again not only did the plan cost as much as my wonderful service with Verizon but I couldn't keep my phone and had to get one of their crap phones! Fast forward a few months down the road when I didn't have the money to pay my bill my service was shut off and was probably off for about a month then I paid my bill expecting to have 30 days of service like normal instead 3 days after I paid my bill MetroPCS wanted another $70! I thought that this was a computer error and that it would be resolved but boy was I wrong they cut my service off and told me I would have to pay another $70 and only have service until November 3rd I then went in store thinking I could fix it if I went and talked to a customer service representative at a local store because who is going to pay $70 for 3 days of service but unfortunately I was wrong again and the customer service representative at the store was absolutely no help and told me that is how MetroPCS now does their service so be warned I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone they will get you if they can!

Very disappointed
I have been a long time customer of Metropcs. And have been mostly happy till now. A couple days ago I woke to find no service on my phone. I had to use WiFi calling to even contact service because MetroPCS have no email option. Finally got someone after sitting on hold and she told me they were servicing the tower and I would have service within 12 hrs. She gave my account a $5 credit for loss of service. Over 12 hrs later still no service and I was having issues with 3 other of my 5 lines. I called back the next day (still no service) and waited on hold another 30 minutes (not the 30 second the computer voice says). It took 3 more long waits on hold (my call kept getting dropped once I finally was connected to an agent) to be told that they were still working on the towers and they would credit our account $8 for the service lost. I was under the impression that it would be $8 per affected line. Which honestly I thought was low for what they did. We had no heads up that our service would be cut
Off for 2 days. I told the agent that I was not ok with just an $8 credit, my time alone (probably 3 hrs of total time spent on hold and talking to them) was worth more than $8. She sent a claim to corporate to see if they would at least credit the $8 per line I was promised. I see today they closed my ticket and have only credited $8 total. I'm so disappointed in this service right now. Great way to treat a loyal long time customer. They also really need an email option so busy people don't have to spend their whole life on hold when having issues.

MetroPCS Phone Updating Nightmare
I recieved a notification from Metro pcs to do a update. So I clicked updated after a while my screen was black. It's getting dark outside and it's raining. I got dressed an went to one of the local stores the only thing MetroPCS wanted to do is sale me another phone. I explained that the phone was working fine until I did the update. I asked can you restore my phone to 4 pm, before I click the update. The clerk suggested that I go to the Corporate office, so I did. More trying to sale me a phone. I had the clerk to activate my old phone, so she did. Clerk said that my phone was too old and it did not activate. I told her, well I guess I want have a phone. I was not about to make a emotional purchase. So I'm driving down the street and I decided to try my old phone that clerk said would not work. I turned the phone on & made a call and it works. This 3g phone is driving me crazy, very slow loading. Luckily a friend gave me a phone, because Cricket was looking very good to me. Free phone, $40 a month, $5 discount a month for auto pay & if you are switching providers another $10 credit.

Metro PCS by T-Mobile
T-Mobile MetroPCS T-Mobile is the worst phone company during the pandemic I ask them can I at least extend my phone service before shutting me off MetroPCS told me no I had to pay $10 or I will be shut off immediately and they did shut me off so I have no phone service I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old baby and my home and now I don't have a phone and they know the covid-19 is going on and the stay-at-home order is going on and on top of that President Trump total bill collectors do not charge for late payments and that's why they are cutting me off because of $10 late payment so I would advise everybody not to get any phones from MetroPCS Boost Mobile is the best I will be taking my phone service to Boost Mobile as of today I would stay said to me that they are giving away free phones and free service and you do not have to pay until the next month as of today during the pandemic so I will be taking my service over there my email is *******@yahoo.com.

Worst Ever
My phone was stolen in late Oct. 2020. I've been w/ Metro pcs at least 5 yrs. & have the insurance. Also my bill is up to date, but when I went to metro pcs stores (5 diff locations) MetroPCS refused to replace my phone unless I paid a $66 deductible & it couldn't be got from the metro store, but had to be mailed to me. After endless hours on the phone with both Metro & Assurant to no resolve, they wouldn't simply replace the phone, I paid the $66 deductible & had the phone shipped to the Metro store nearest me. I had been without my phone 3 weeks at that point, unable to fill my scripts & insulin for my Diabetes ( level 2) or receive calls from my docs. The next day I had a seizure, blacked out, was in a diabetic coma for a week & my wallet was stolen when I seized. After release from hospital I went to pick up my phone at Metro store & they had returned it bcz I left it there a week. So I had to reorder it & the metro store employee had it shipped to his apartment, ensuring this would be the safest way to receive my phone since I'd been in hospital. It was shipped to his apt. & UPS confirmed delivery. When I went back to the Metro store to pick it up they informed me that employee was no longer working there & I was $#*! out of luck. Asked if I could add a line with the add a free line get a free phone promo, & could only do that if I paid the
"convenience fee" of $50. Could I have that waived under the circumstances? I asked. Hell no basically is what I was told.
Week 7 without my phone... I called Metro & Assurant again, was on the phone with them 2.5 hrs. & they concluded that the phone must be reshipped but they couldn't change the shipping address for no reason really, just no. They'd have to get approval to continue to help me & both agents hung up on me. My friend sat with me to witness the crass, crude treatment by their so called customer service. Was upset, livid & phone- less, unable to access my Gmail, credit card accts since wallet was stolen without this phone # active & I've never been so badly fckd over by a phone provider - ever. Verizon replaces phones instantaneously, prob Cricket even does better. Dec 31st I went into a different store to check on status of my account & was told my acct was fine & in good standing but if I wanted a phone right away I'd have to purchase another one for $80 (low end) or $166 (next to lowest) even tho I'd already paid a deductible. None of the free phone plans were offered to me & the lost phone wasnt their problem. 2.5 months after my phone was stolen, tho I'm insured & have paid a deductible for a replacement & have been colossally patient with Metro pcs, I still have no phone to access my life to this very day. Worst mobile provider EVER! RUN far & fast from this crooked company.

Very Disrespectful company
Hello my name is Alfreda Days I been with metro PC's since 2005 I watched this company customer service go down over the last couple of years since MetroPCS started hiring all these foreigners who can't speak english and they sit in there little cubicles think when they accept a call from a customer where supposed to kiss there lazy ass just to get them to do there jobs I blame metro PC's your so money hungry to the point that you don't care how these people talk to your customer it was the working class like me who made you're company Rich I see you've forgotten it was the little people who was there when Merto PC's wasn't $#*! now you're riding on T Mobile no it's all about the Money soon as I get a chance I'm going to find a better company that will appreciate my business and a customer that pays there bill before the due date I can Honestly say I HATE METRO PC's NOW Alfreda Days

Manipulative, lying, horrible company
I am absolutely furious with this horrendous phone company. You may think that because its so much cheaper its a good deal but its not, because you are affectively giving them money and receiving nothing in return. I called and worked with three separate customer service agents trying to get my phone set up for a trip to Europe. MetroPCS told me the best international plan they had for Europe did not give me calling, but free unlimited texting with my unlimited data plan I already had in place. Little did I know and as they completely failed to explain, metro pcs literally has 0 service or reception in Europe. Im not exaggerating where I mean its just really really weak, they literally have no service here, which you would think at least one of the three customer service agents I asked about a European international plan might mention. That unlimited texting plan I got got? It means I can send texts when Im connected to WiFi. Wow gee thanks! Thats super $#*!ing useful! Oh wait no one I know is a $#*!ing scrub without an iPhone and So iMessage is the only thing I use anyway. And even if they didnt have iMessage there are about a billion apps that let you talk for free with WiFi. This not only meant that I had no ability to contact people, it meant that I was stranded in foreign countries where I did not speak the language with no ability to contact people for help, get directions anywhere, or look up important information. I felt extremely unsafe many times. Metro PCS completely ruined my vacation which I had been planning for months. Horrible, manipulative, deceptive phone company. Absolute joke.

Company Doesn't Care AT ALL About Customer Service
I've been with Metro PCS for almost 4 years. My fiance has been with them for many more. The customer service is terrible. The phone representatives are uninformed, don't know how to speak English and you must go through annoying automated messages before getting assistance. I was advised to use the app, go online to metro pcs t-mobile, or by calling 611. I tried the first route and had everything ready for it. No, not possible. It transfers me to a call to customer service where I listen to unhelpful messages, finally advising me that I need to visit the store. What? So much for being able to connect a new phone by the app. The unlimited phone service is quite the opposite. The service practically halts when you reach a certain level of use for the month. Then, I must turn phone off and back on to get it to stop freezing. If you log into the app, check out how many negative reviews on there! But, even more noteworthy is not one of them receives any response or comment. The company simply doesn't care AT ALL about the poor service MetroPCS provide.

Please do not get a phone from them!
I have been with MetroPCS for about 8 years and I decided to do an upgrade on December 27th of 2020. I went into the store on Broadway and kolb in Tucson. This is where I've always gone to do my upgrades. There's a whole new staff there that dress so and professionally and have their pants hanging up their butts, and lie to you about the cost of everything. I was told I was going to get a free case and free screen protector. Then, the salesperson and I get up to the counter to ring everything up and another couple walked in with their daughter to get their daughter a new line. The salesperson told somebody else to bring me up will he helps the new sale and I'm charged about $50 to $60 more than what was agreed upon. I put a bad review up and I get a call from the corporate office by somebody named Tammy. She agrees that none of this should have happened and she's going to send all of my information to her regional manager and that I would get a phone call from this regional manager. I have called several times to the store to speak to the manager to no avail. I've also waited for about 5 weeks for a phone call. Guess what? No phone call. Nobody at MetroPCS seems to have a phone number for the corporate office. So perhaps with this bad review maybe they'll call back. I just know that I will be seeking out another company who can be trusted a little bit more to tell me the truth during the sale

Very bad service very bad professionalism
Good evening I live in Sparks Nevada my name is Frederick Lee Hughes I went into the store in iron horn shopping plaza from day one the girls in there were fine MetroPCS were great to be exact and I've been back to the store five times counted today and I have to talk to customer service five times counting today my phone is having major issues and finally it shut down all the way I went into the store to see about what could they could do for me the young lady that was in the store said they got approved where I could get a warranty on my phone but it would take 5 to 6 business days in which I asked what am I supposed to do without a phone and what is Metro going to do to conversate me for the days that I'm down without a phone with my bill being fully paid she said she understood she also needed help doing the warranty which is not her fault because of computers are new in her store and it does not have the link she contacted her manager she also contacted a different store the people that she contacted in a different store to me were very rude and not professionally at all because they were laughing and playing games when she had to ask them there's customers in the store so please stop she done everything she could to make everything right the girls and the employees in the iron horn store they are great they've been doing everything they can if I had the rate MetroPCS ran by T-Mobile I will give the employees in the iron horse store a 10 and more but as far as T-Mobile and Metro I will give you guys a zero if I can write you as a zero because I still have a broke phone with my bill paid to me the service sucks and since you guys can't make it right then I will just transfer my service to someone else that cares because the only people that cared in my book here is not T-Mobile is not Metro it was the girls and iron horse store that cared and Sparks Nevada you guys need to give them a raise

Convenient but not anymore
Metro pcs has offered great customer service for the first two years i have had them imo. One of the best services offered imo is the My metro app and how convenient it makes it to pay my bill and if needed i have the option to get a 48 hr extension of full services. The services which for two years if needing the extension, i pay my bill in full shortly after getting the extension and everyones interest are covered. Now starting this month i find out that if i need the courtesy restore until i can pay my bill that the talk and text will be restored but not the internet services. The internet service is about 80% of why i pay my bill. Its kind of petty at first thought. Anyway it was conveniet in the event i made a mistake and was not on top of my bill payment. This month being out of town on vaca til friday and not having payed my bill in advance this is a real headache since i was to rely on there service. Im a 2 year customer with no debt with them and i purchased all my products from there store and will have no internet for the next couple days atleast until im home. Then argueing im paying a full bill for services im not able to use is another headache. Imo MetroPCS now have made the corp swing of pushing there expenses of business onto there customer instead of offering a customer service which extends there service. That philosophy is what pushes me away. Ive been down that road with big companys before. Usually i walk away and find another way to meet my needs.
