3 stars Easy to use website
Website is well laid out I am new to rc Vehicles and could find exactly what I wanted easy enough. I gave all 3 stars to this because it also had a rc car I can build from scratch.
I marked 3 stars because I ordered without creating an account which wasn't very clear as I thought id have to make an account before my purchase any way, maybe partly my fault as well for getting carried away with what I was ordering with all the excitement, but when asking if the loyalty points of my purchase could be added to my newly created account after purchase NitroTek told me they unfortunately they couldn't add them.
I am ready to spend more cash and have a lot I would have liked to purchase but have been put off slightly due to the after purchase/sales and the slow replies from the help only being online. The tracking number I was given didn't work and felt a bit in the dark about my purchase. Reading some reviews made me a bit paranoid. All that said I am sure they can improve this and think I would order again from Nitrotek especially if they have what I need!
My Order #130012497

Fast service which is great, but leaves a lot to be desired
1. I really, really don't like that a full password for my new account with Nitro Tek was shown ***in full*** on an incoming email without warning - and people often use passwords for more than one site, making that potentially a $#*!-up of huge proportions.
2. If ringing for after sales service, you get put onto a sort of 'read the website/automated service' type phone message. Whereas if you are ringing to make and order you get through to a human rather quickly - I haven't any call for after sales service (I hope), but this handling of customers gave me a bad image of the company right from the start. Had I not been in a hurry I'd have looked elsewhere for the product. Testing after sales access before I buy is my usual way of vetting a company before ordering. I like to deal with humans.
3. Naming a price on a UK website without including VAT (such that pricerunner etc that then picks it up at the untaxed price) is a nasty trick to get people to your site. I'm not actually sure it's legal when offering goods for sale retail, but either way it's poor practice - yes it got my custom this time, but given a choice of anywhere else subsequently with similar prices, I'd probably buy elsewhere just on principle now.
4. When ordering it is not immediately clear what the postage price will be: I filled in a lot of info and made an order before it was refused when I clicked 'purchase', only to find the reason was that I had not been offered the postal service choices so the price was not yet made inclusive (as I later worked out after ringing/being confused by the refusal and what may have happened). So I had to do it all again and found that £6 plus was being added postage (plus VAT on postage, too). I wouldn't have been loath to pay that, but would have liked that, or a price example at least, up front.
5. A 'pick up free' service is offered - great, but it's not immediately clear which one it is/how extensive it is, so that one can see straightaway whether it's one I would use by choice or not, though it becomes clear later in the ordering process.
6. In the payment section it asks for 'credit card payment' or PayPal. Great, but when one prefers to use a debit card, one wonders if such is accepted... so why not (quite reasonably) entitle the section "credit/debit cards" or "card payment" so it's immediately obvious, or at least not more or less contra-indicated?
7. You get offered £5 for a review, take the time to write a considered review, then find that you have to sign up for ReviewFeeder. What that spies on, aims at me, how intrusive or not it is or not is an unknown, but I certainly was not expecting that kind of crap for my £5 - no advance warning. I'd never have done it had I known, but I'll post this to warn others - just lost another star there NitroTek... very poor!

Poor customer service
I purchased a remote control car for my son's birthday, from the start it has never worked.
I am trying to get a refund under the companies well publicised 14 day no quibble returns policy. UTTER CRAP! NitroTek are not interested in helping you when things don't work, they are putting up barriers to giving my money back, they don't care about how upset my son is and ruining his birthday. There has no been one word of apology or remorse from them. They really don't give a damn once they take your money. OMAR FARRA is the director running this cowboy outfit.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANIES, UTTER IGNORANT COWBOYS!

Customer Service came through - Thanks Lauren
Further to my earlier review I would like to say a big thank you to Lauren at Nitrotek for handling my complaint in a courteous and professional manner. A new part was dispatched and received very promptly, Thank you

Order # 100036544

I purchased a nitro RC car for my sons birthday. The string from the starter unit pulled through as the knot holding it in place was too small.

After requesting a replacement unit under warranty I was told these items do not come with a Warranty? And that I must have broken this as this is a common beginner issue. This is not the case as the car was taken to a family friend who builds and races these vehicles. The string did not break it pulled out due to faulty factory assembly.

I requested a new part and was told to either try and reassemble it or buy a new one, NitroTek did provide instructions - How very helpful.

I am appalled that this is the response I have received. The item is not expensive but 1) why should I have to fix this myself or pay to replace a faulty part, and 2) if I do purchase a new part how can I trust this disgraceful company to provide a part that is fit for purpose.

Really rude - recommend avoid!
Purchased RC Car. Motor failed on day 1 of being used. Nitrotek told me (quote) "We sell hobby grade products and part of the hobby is model maintenance and replacing worn, broken or upgrade-able parts." I insisted NitroTek repair or refund. They send a replacement motor, which did not work as needed to be wired differently. Also their instructions for replacing the motor were incorrect. Returned item for refund. From then on they took on a really caustic tone and became utterly acerbic and rude. This went on over a considerable amount of time, and in my view they were clearly breaching the UK Consumer Rights Act. They were saying I could not have a full refund because the car had been used and was no longer in a as-new condition. It had been used for 30 minutes before the motor blew. In the end accepted a slightly reduced refund just to close the matter and stop contact with them - which I believe was their tactic from the start. This has been the worst customer service in terms of rudeness etc I have experienced, and I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Just before xmas bought RC Tank online, took my money then told me it was out of stock, 10 mins later phoned me to let me know NitroTek had found one in stockroom? A couple of day later it arrived, although had a few scratches, looked like it had been returned by a customer hence it not being on the system. Anyway hubby started to mess with it and soon realised the gun DID NOT shoot the BB bullets, phoned them and was told to email after sales and so the fun began! Emailed them and you get a ticket which they answer after 24hrs! They told me numerous times we must be doing something wrong ( we are a company that rebuilds ex mod land rovers so think we can manage how to use a tank!). So after about 15 emails and snotty phone calls, they dont like to speak to you about faulty items on the phone... COWARDS! I was told to return the tank, I did in original packaging. The technical report said it was faulty, which they corrected BUT ( and this seems to be a regular thing with them) the transmitter was damaged in transit. I asked for pictures of damaged box, it wasnt damaged at all, just a pic of a bloke holding broken aerial for transmitter. They wanted £44.99 for repairs! I have NO PROOF it was broken in transit so couldnt claim from courier. $#*! Turpin is alive and well running this business! After another 10 or so emails ( usually TOM) they would not budge and said they would send tank back BROKEN! This thing cost £230.00 so I had no option but to pay £44.99. This is atrocious after sales service, I only sent the thing back because IT WAS FAULTY! When we sell a Land Rover and they bring it back with a problem we fix it for free... never never never use this company!

Condor pro buggy
Ordered the condor pro ( pro stand for professional it can't lol) usual pattern as described hundreds of times on these review sites, my experience buggy steering servo crunching and very unresponsive literally after 15 mins run time no crashes no user error. The exhaust gasket hanging off of 1 side emitting fuel & oil all over the buggy, bit disappointing but nothing that can't be repaired or so I thought, now starts the trouble? Contacted nitrotek via e mail, usual pattern waited 4 days for reply, asks for more info so respond another 4 + 5 days for reply. NitroTek asked me to send photos of car issues which I done straight away you guessed it no response they stall you and try to drag it out as long as possible. They then pass all responsibility of faults on to the user and go down the route of user error. I was lucky I stopped dealing with em and contacted pay pal I did get full refund & postage refund aswell. In my experience your are handing over your hard earned cash to a ( company), who to be frank don't really care and are quit happy not to help or resolve any issues you WILL have with your purchase. Avoid

Poor, poor, poor

Easy web site to navigate. Was happy with transaction. Just needed it to be delivered so had to review again as delivery wasn't as smooth as online purchase... Not so happy now. Fuel provided leaked from an apparently sealed bottle all over everything in box. Drove once with 1/10 scale model and its never started again. Contacted this company but no joy, loads of replies but no mention of getting it sorted. Internet only company. No customer service to talk to. One needs to email everything but gets no real positive responses. Made me feel like I did something wrong. I will never recommend or use this lot ever again. Most expensive paper weight I've ever purchased yet. STAY AWAY! Go to a real model RC shop, deal with real people face to face.

Hell No - Stay Away
Bought a refurb from Nitrotek and it broke after 6 min. Contacted them and returned the model for repair. Got it back after about 2 months and it broke again, in the same place.

Now, there is no way to call them (the first sign of a dodgy setup), NitroTek not replying to my mails, have refused to refund me and now I've got absolutely no idea what is happening after dealing with these morons for 4 months.

Dishonest business ethics, bully's, horribly to nonexistent communication, vague and evasive mail replys. In general - a horrid bunch to deal with.

Stay way clear of these people - rather spend more somewhere else where you have peace of mind.

Nitro car
I brought a Nitro car from this company and only used it 4 times, the engine breaking in stages.
I've been racing RC cars since 17 and now I'm 37 and the car wasn't fit for purpose! Very poorly made and I sent product back fully packaged within the return date.

Nearly 2 months later and countless emails I'm being ignored and feel like I've been totally robbed by this company.

I would advise anyone not to use this company it is so hard getting answers and feeling like I'm never going to get my money back.

Avoid this company at all costs never dealt with such a unprofessional company ever!

Buyers you have been warned!

Smashed to bits
The last in this saga of reviews about this company.

Regarding the quadcopter I purchased, it has never flown and it never would
Have I let a friend exam it who builds and maintains his own quads as now do.

He tried to hover it and it came flying back at him as one of the motors had failed again.

Very experienced quad pilot so knew what to do and avoided injury.

This product was a worthless piece of junk and my conscience wouldn't allow me putting
Anybody else in harms way of it so it was smashed to bits and binned.

Please learn from my mistakes and avoid this company NitroTek are no more helpful
Than a chocolate fireguard. You won't get your money back they are never wrong
Don't do repairs fob you off. (please read further description of them on previous
Offerings as this saga panned out)

Pay more and use a reputable model shop or company there are plenty out there.

You have been warned...

Shocking After Sales - avoid at all costs
The RC car was my boys birthday in March 18. After 10mins of use one of the wheel axles appeared to have broken. We sent in photos and NitroTek diagnosed the issue, telling is we needed 2 spare parts which we then tried to order, but they were out of stock. In Sept they finally arrived and I took the axle off to discover that it wasn't broken. The problem was there was a screw was missing. I requested they send me some screws (free) so I could fix the car and they refused. Initially they said it was our fault we did not do a full service check on the car before we used it. Then they decided it was out of warranty even though we waited 6 months for the parts to arrive!. What makes me so angry is that we are arguing over a 10p screw. Why would any company, who cared in the slightest about their customers being happy, not pop a screw in the post? They insisted i pay £6.30 (including postage) to fix a faulty car that they supplied. The wretched, pathetic, money grabbing ethos behind this company should be a warning to anyone - buy elsewhere - find a company with a shred of decency to do business with!

Replacement Parts and Customer Service - Nitrotek
I purchased a Truggy from NitroTek, and while the car arrived within a week, the build quality of the battery connector and associated charging unit is very poorly manufactured. The customer service that I received was also some of the worst that I have ever received. Had I known about either of these before, I wouldn't have touched Nitrotek with a barge pole.

Prior to posting this review, I noticed a number of consumers had complained about the batteries and replacement parts (many of which always seem to be out of stock). There is plenty of truth in what other consumers say. As such, their feedback echoes my overwhelming discontent with Nitrotek as a company, and their products, so much so that I am in the throes of reporting them to Trading Standards.

If you are looking to purchase a remote control car, don't be sway for Nitrotek's advertising. Spend a little more money a get something that is going last and, importantly, something that you can easily obtain replacement parts for (as you'll need them).

I conclude by saying that, if you have a problem with a faulty part, Nitrotek representatives will always say that it's a user error because NitroTek have no intention of providing a replacement part; let alone have the replacement parts ever in stock. Ask yourself this, would you buy something from a company who tells you to get a replacement part from eBay? I think not.

Save your money and spare your friends and family members of a great deal of frustration. 'Do not buy anything from Nitrotek'. You have been warned.

Do NOT SHOP HERE
Nitrotek Order 100042441
I purchased an RC helicopter from this website for my young son for Christmas.
After charging it according to the instructions he was able to fly it on only 3 occasions before a fault developed and the battery was not supplying enough power to get airborne. I sent the suppliers an email expecting a prompt reply and eventually got one advising me that I would need a multimeter to test the battery and also the charger. I informed them I did not have one and then received another email telling me to borrow one because if I sent it back for repair it would cost me the transport costs and take up to 3 weeks to test and/or repair.
After several emails back and forth and no satisfaction I wrote a negative feedback review on a customer service review website and was then contacted by Nitrotek who told me NitroTek would send a battery by post if I removed the negative review. I agreed and have been waiting for 10 working days and according to Nitrotek it is the courier (Royal Mail) at fault.
Take my advice that although Nitrotek will send your order impressively quickly their customer service is practically non existent. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

AVOID AT ALL COST
If you are looking for a service comparable to buying a 10 dollar ipad from china, under a company called robemblind then this is the company for you. I have never in my life had such difficulty with a company and returns due to poor quality items being sold ( Im a purchasing manager in the mining industry) the item was returned within 3 days!. As mentioned in other posts NitroTek don't even look at your return for 2 weeks (mine was a month with constant pushing) and then for them to write a report stating that the item was returned in used condition due to bb pellets not being in original plastic bag was the last straw. Its currently going legal and I urge anyone buying rc toys to use a reputable company and not buy from Nitrotek because its a few £ cheaper.

Good Customer Service - Order number 130008749
Reason for the not perfect score: Recently purchased an RC Nitro car for my sons birthday and I was a bit put out by the quality of the product itself as the shell that comes with the car which has the holes for access pre-cut for the engine starter and timing needle, Re fueling and top of the engine, however the problem is the holes cut are not even close especially the timing needle and the shell will look awful near the pull start and top of engine where the holes will join not to mention the fuel filling. You be the judge I have attached a picture.

I would like to say that the customer service was very prompt in their response, however I was told in my case that this is how the product is delivered to them and there is nothing NitroTek can do to help rectify a manufacturing defect and or help towards a new shell for this car which is an additional £19.99. Factor this in when purchasing an ACME Condor RC Car

Hopefully I cab get the £5 discount offered for writing a review for this order number 130008749 which will go towards a new shell to make this a nice entry RC Car.

At least i will get to show my son how to mark out and cut a new shell

RC car - Nitro tek... con artists
RC car from nitro tek over a month ago for £185. NitroTek dispatched the wrong one. They asked for a photo to prove it was the wrong one and then I returned it a couple of days later. It has been over a month and no refund. I got paypal involved which seemed to have prevoked a response. You cannot get hold of anyone. Do not buy off this company as it is close to fraud. Next step court action of trip to the bank to try to claw the money back. Really angry... Result... Finally got a full refund after paypal got involved and putting this comment on site jabber. Found a better RC car somewhere else for only a bit more money. I would recommend paypal route to get a refund. Good luck.

Shocking and morally bankrupt.
DON'T GO NEAR THIS COMPANY! Thus company is a cash first and forget operation.
NitroTek are masively helpful in choosing a product. They ship it really quickly, but god help you if there is a problem.

I ordered a 1/5 scale truck and when it arrived the nightmare started. The paintwork was scratched and badly gouged in multiple areas.
The finish of the vehicle was shocking. The front bumper looked like it had been glued on with papermashe. The vehicle looked and smelled like it had been used. I took it to a reputable shop to have it checked out and the merchant confirmed it was a used vehicle after stripping it and looking at internal parts.
So at worst they are selling returned stock as new?

The vehicle had rust on its metal parts as well.
When I tried to return it they refused to handle the issue via telephone. Every communication has to be with their customer service department via email.
Multiple pictures were sent of the defects yet absolutely no recognition of the faults has been forthcoming.

Generic emails are their standard reply. They say they will resolve issues in 10 working days. So if you have a problem expect to be left in the dark at every turn and expect generic and worthless email responses.

This company is mortally bankrupt. They employ a tactic of pushing the limits of consumer law to their very extreme limits. My opinion is that they do this so if you ever have to return something again you would rather just settle for what you get than go through the absolute nightmare of dealing with them again.

A very effective tactic as I will never deal with them again.
I await them to put one foot wrong in this nightmare and the small claims court will be my first stop.

Letters are on route to PayPal and Oubodsman. This company is a joke. Don't go near them.

Appalling customer service!
Ordered two front and two rear shock towers which after 3 weeks of waiting never arrived. Rang and emailed and NitroTek stated they'd chase it up with Royal mail and get back to me. Emailed once again asking of the progress and could new parts be sent out. To which they confirmed they would send new parts through management. Been waiting overall just over 2 and a half months. Nothing at all has arrived and despite numerous emails asking and stating my disappointment and annoyance they now no longer reply to any of my emails. Absolutely disgusting company and appalling customer service. Highly recommend to avoid this company at all costs!

Outrageous
If you want to get ripped off and spend money for no reason then this is the place to go. Nitrotek will rip you off and take your money happily. Scammers! The reason for this is because I bought a helicopter and a transmitter from here and guess what it was not working so I sent the transmitter back with extra money. Yet when I recieved it back I still didn't work, what a waste of money! But I gave nitrotek another chance thinking that the helicopter was to blame. But when I bought the same exact helicopter from this site I realised that it would not fly. So once again I sent it back and NitroTek said that I had damaged the part where the blade fits on to. But my question is how on earth could I possibly break that when the helicopter didn't even lift off the ground. Truly pathetic. So i tried to email the support team for an update on my return but I wasn't getting any where. Finally I was told to pay some money to repair it, which I did of course. Little did I know it's been over a month and I had to ring up and find out what is happening because the staff do not reply to emails. After spending hundreds of pounds on this disgusting scamming website i have realised that I probably won't even get a helicopter back. It's just messed up that a huge company like this can go around taking people's money yet they have a stupid customer support team who don't even know how to deal with issues! That's your job so maybe do it correctly? You are getting paid at the end of the day. So my overall message is that I'm very angry and frustrated with the lack of care this company has given me. Also I hope you all read this review and dont purchase anything from this website. They will happily take your money but they won't help you solve an issue (which is common). So save your time and money and shop somewhere that they value your custom and time.

Very poor after sales care
Order no 300014636. 4th August 2017.

Good price and quick postage. However, my rc car does not work and you cannot phone up to speak to anyone. Instead a online ticketing system is used which means you have to wait up to 24rs for a response. The response was then not relevant to my car model and no different to what i had already read on the internet and mentioned in my original query. After replying I then have to wait an age for a reply back again hence a simple conversation could take days to complete. I then read the terms and I have to pay my own return postage which potentially will be refunded if nitrotek decide to do so.

Looking at review sites poor after sales care is a common theme so since I gave up waiting for another response I went to paypal and raised a complaint there. I immediately got an automated response from nitrotek with a credit memo, with the cheek to deduct an "adjustment fee" of £2.79. Not big money but the principle is shocking. In all, if you want any kind of after sales service avoid this company and pay a little extra from a local model shop. This is really annoying as I really like the look of the car but after sales service this bad just shouldn't happen in the 21st century.

UPDATE: it's now 21st August and I still have no refund. I was offered a Paypal refund of the initial money, but told them I would not close the dispute until my return postage cost is reimbursed. The transmitter was found to be faulty.

Company is a total joke with poor service avoid
Please read reviews online and you will find that this company will mess you around when NitroTek send out unchecked and damaged goods... They will then stick you in a queuing system and mess you around for days / weeks... so happy to take your money but definitely not happy to help when they send out damaged goods total joke of a company and I would avoid at all cost... I know I will never buy anything from them again as I had to open a dispute via PayPal as there demands were out of order as they tried to get the goods back without sending a replacement! I hope others follow and take the time to read reviews and not fall into the nitrotec trap... Must add dear Tom at nitrotec seems to find matters so funny all I can say is avoid at all cost...

Liars who mislead the customer with apalling after sales service.
This company's after sales service is one of the worst I have ever come across. The RC which was sold had a one way bearing which seized after a couple of pulls on the starter cord. Their so called fault finding correspondence went round in circles with them not wanting to admit any liability as far as parts were concerned. We even sent a video of trying to start the RC with the pull cord not retracting. Being an engineer it was obvious what the problem was even though I had no experience with RC's. We bought the new part from ebay and the car engine now starts. After asking for a refund for the price of the bearing, we were told that because we didn't purchase it from Nitrotek, NitroTek wouldn't refund the cost of the replacement part. Bearing in mind that we spent 3 weeks following their so called fault finding and eventually losing patience, their excuse not to refund us didn't come as a surprise. Avoid this company if you expect reasonable after sales service.

Yama buggy
I purchased a yama off road buggy for my autistic son, who had saved up pocket money for this 1/5 scale petrol remote buggy. We took it to our friends field and my son had 30 minutes of fun playing with it, it then stopped steering. We read the booklet and it suggested binding the two again. Which we tried. To no result. Told Nitrotek. Via their ticket system that it needs a new steering servo. NitroTek are not interested. Aftersales service is a complete joke. It's been a month now and still not got any result. All they need to do is send out a replacement servo. I can fit it. Not hard. I think their warranty stinks. They need an aftersales phone line to deal with complaints. As there seem to be a few going by other comments on here and other sites. So thanks Nitrotek for messing up my son's free time before going back to school.

Poor after sales team avoid providing services under warranty.
Order # 300014060. I carried out pre run checks as advised by the user manual. One point on the manual advises to check that all screws and volts are secure. The problem with this is that for many components, particularly around the steering area, these parts should not be too tight and actually over tightening them can cause damage to the parts. So I made sure that all parts were secure and screws and volts in place before the first run.
After 15 mins of the first run I had noticed that the front wheel wasn't on properly and this was affecting the control of the car. I immediately stopped and inspected. It seems that a screw connecting the steering mount to the steering hub was loose. Although I could put the screw back in it easily became loose again and become lost. So I took the car to a model shop for a replacement screw but was advised that the issue occurred because the steering hub had inadequate threading. A while later, when inspecting the car the dog bone dropped off the same wheel. I noticed some damage to it which must have been associated with the steering hub becoming loose.
So I contacted Nitrotek after sales support to tell them what had happened. I had requested a replacement steering hub, replacement dog bone and screw to fix the steering hub. At first all seemed well because NitroTek had sent me a replacement steering hub relatively quickly. However, after 2 weeks of communication, Nitrotek had decided that they would not send me a replacement dog bone because they claimed that the damage would not have occurred if I had followed the pre run checks. I put to them that I had done the check and that the damage was caused to the dog bone as a result of the faulty steering hub with insufficient threading for the screw. They continue to insist that the damage caused was my fault and keep refering to the pre run checks as an excuse not to provide the replacement parts. So I have had to order the replacement parts at my own expense direct from Nitrotek because you can't get them from anywhere else.
The after sales team are not interested in providing services under warranty and just want you to spend more money fixing the problem. I have saved them money because I could have insisted that the car is returned for them to fix. However I would not even trust them to return the car now after my experience with the after sales support. A real shame!

AVOID-AVOID-AVOID
AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-AVOID

This is a hideous company to deal with, as other have said on many many review forums, avoid this company at ALL COSTS.

When something goes wrong NitroTek don't want to know, send you BS excuses to get out of there problems.

Bought a remote control car within 1 hour it had 4 failures, I asked for a full refund, they did not want to know until they had inspected it, it took 40 emails and 2 months to inspect it!

Then then blamed me for the failures!

They refused to refund me, lying about the condition of the car, and how long I had it for, before sending back.

I had to go through Paypal to get a refund, and threaten Small Claims Court, I will also be reporting them to Trading Standards.

If they wont give you your money back go through Paypal, and Trading Standards.

Horrendous company, Read the awful reviews

Shocking service, rip off
I bought my son a rc car from nitro tec last christmas. 2 days before Christmas Day we set the car up and got it running for approx 5 seconds before it cut out! I tried to re-start the car on the first pull the pull cord pulled out with no tension. I called nitro-tec and after being on hold for over 20 mins got to speak to someone on the technical department. The advice was to take the pull cord and engine out and fiddle with numerous parts.my reply was that I wanted to return the car and recive a full refund as the car was not fit for purpose! Nitro tec did not offer to take the car back but did offer more useless tips on how to fix a brand new car that had never been used! My advice is don't buy from this company and I would like to thank them for a very dissapointed son at Christmas

Appalling, avoid at all costs.
Appalling. Bought a petrol motorbike from their website, it was delivered with multiple damages. Proof of damages supplied straight away. NitroTek refused to collect it or offer to refund my return postage. Had to return at my own cost, then they tried to blame the return courier for the damages, but supplied no proof. I took them to the small claims court and had all my money plus return postage costs and court costs refunded that way. Know your consumer rights if you are looking to use this company, and read all the other terrible reviews which unfortunately I didn't do! Over 6 months it took to get all my money back from them. Stay well away from them.

Excellent website to order from - Returns Service absymal and slow
Really good website full of information and details of products. Hopefully delivery will be as efficient and I am looking forward to this and future orders

Delivery was efficient. But Day 2 the item failed.

Trying to get the item returned was an absolute nightmare. Even then NitroTek try to fob me off that a technician needs to inspect and report before the next course of action is decided. At this point I reminded them of the Distance Selling Laws which apply here in the UK and that I am entitled to a full refund within 14 days of ordering which this was. If they ignore this there are several options to me which will be considered

Appalling customer service. Buyer beware.
I bought a remote control monster truck for my grandson for his birthday. I have never received an order confirmation despite asking three times and receiving promises that it would be sent. The truck was rattling around loose in the box when it arrived as the plastic holding strap had broken. Ultimately it didn't affect the operation of the truck. However, the battery lead split on the second charge and my son has been asking for a replacement battery from Nitrotek ever since as he thinks this is unacceptable. He sent photographs to back up what we were saying and after many emails back and forth he's had no joy at all. The company want him to return the battery where it will join a queue for inspection and this could take weeks or possibly even months to resolve. We, like many others, are at the mercy of Nitrotek's terrible customer service. NitroTek hide behind emails and really don't give a hoot! I wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing. I was going to do a charge back via my bank but having read of another person's troubles after doing just that I've changed my mind. Instead I'll leave this review and hope that people read it before buying from Nitrotek. What an awful company. Buyer beware.
