! BEWARE LIARS ESPECIALLY TOM
I have been let down by nitrotec twice now and am not happy NitroTek are a cowboy site who let you order stuff which shows is in stock on the site and then cancel your order and don't even let you know not professional at all your refund can take 5 working days to go in aswell I had to borrow money the second time because the first one had not gone in my bank i spoke to tom on the second time I ordered and got him to confirm the nitro car was in stock and he assured me it was as this is a Christmas present and my second attempt this was on Friday 14/12/18 I rang up today 19/12/18 and got trough to tom and ask him where my car was and all he could say is your order has been cancelled it's not in stock and they made know contact with me to let me know and now I am fuming Because he assured me it was in stock now they have left me stuck for Christmas it's my boys main Christmas present and he is upset there just not bothered will never use this site again and tom is a smarmy liar and I am still waiting for my refund! They only sent this email when I rang to see where my order was really bad customer care!

T34/85 with a nice little surprise bonus
Treated myself to a Taigen T34/85 medium tank from Nitrotek taking advantage of it coming back into stock just in time for their Easter sale. Came within the allotted time and arrived well packed and in full working order. Their advertising makes mention of it now having a 360 degree turret (which it does) but fails to mention that it now also has the V2 electronics pack. The turret motor and the smoke unit now have proportional control and the sound comes from a separate sound card and now includes the sound of the empty shell being ejected after each shot. The new control unit now has an extra button on the right shoulder which triggers the machine gun fire effects and the nearby shoulder switch now turns the smoke unit on and off. All other switches etc. remain as in the previous version. Due to the comparative smaller size of the T34 the smaller than usual battery pack is a little underpowered and the smoke unit is attached to the upper hull with slightly cramped pipe work. The winter camo paint and finish is superb and almost of museum display quality, although it's slightly disappointing that there are no decals supplied. This is my third tank from Nitrotek and so far the experience has been positive.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
My first advice, and words would be, if you are an easy going person, who hates stress, and having to deal with rude, arrogant, and self righteous consumer law swerving companies, avoid these guys at your peril.

At 62 years old, and very experienced in the world of rc planes, I am a very easy going amicable guy, not quite what you would call nasty or cynical, but, from my own experience, and googling similar scenarios to my own, would be very very suspect that a lot of reviews for this company may be self written to keep the numbers up.
I bought a rc plane, the motor seized on 1st flight, and NitroTek said it was my fault, I should have informed them upon delivery day it was faulty.
Very hard to do when it is supplied in kit form.
I found the communication from them, and the tone of messages, more than rude, and not at all customer friendly. ~
IT IS YOUR FAULT - YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS - YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY -
Well Mr Nitrotek, This is England and yes i do, you sold me faulty goods, I have consumer rights and buyer protection through PayPal, so I will be having my £140 back whether you like it or not.
I can only say, in a hope I may help someone else who may possibly fall into the trap of a nice looking website ~ BUYER BEWARE ~ AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ~ GOOGLE REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY BEFORE you give them your hard earned cash.
I really do hope this stops anyone falling into my scenario, but don't worry about me I WILL WIN. 100% XX

Wish I had a time machine to go back in time and stop me from buying from this company. At xmas I purchased 2 rc tanks, when NitroTek arrived initially they both worked for approx. 1 hours of play and they just died, no power to them at all. Tried for days to get through to there telephone line and was greeted by useless staff at the other end, used there online support, wish takes days to get a response and when you do its point less and useless, im still trying to get the item returned after months of trying but they are trying their hardest to stop this from happening! Reported them to trading standards and will speak to paypal next week to see if I can get a chargeback.

BEWARE! First the reviews on here you will all see have a purchase order on them, this is a bribe before you have the product for a £5 credit to leave a false positive review. Search other websites and you will see ONLY negative reviews, you cannot talk to anyone from customer service or repairs. I tried to collect 2 items for my sons birthday NitroTek said no problem bring ID, totally fair, when I got there I showed my ID which was a passport and utility bill, they then said they wanted to scan my passport and utility bill; with those two document scanned I have given away my identify plus you are not allowed to scan a passport unless you can prove you have encrypted and secure facilities like a solicitor etc. Go to the unit and you would not want to give them your address the way they treat you leaving you in a hallway.

My I suggest it is safer going on a well known auction site and you will have security. My problem now is 3 days later I do not have my sons birthday present!

Their reason for scanning my passport was they wanted a picture; I told them you are fine to take my picture, take details from my passport but not actually take it out of my sight and scan it. They leave you in a hall of an old mill and shut the service counter hole so you have no idea. Service and customer relations are zero. I have reported to the Police and Trading standards.

Their help, they cancelled my order so I am now struggling to get my son his birthday present on time. So disappointing as they are a local company and I would rather support local always but not in this case.

Companies need to protect themselves from fraud understandable but this is not acceptable, can you think of any time you have bought online and collected where they want to not look at your ID but scan it. This is also against the data protection act.

I even phone to try and speak to someone in sales and they were not interested, the person on the next desk would not speak to me. Remember also I went in person, imagine if you do not live local!

Fault items and very unhelpful company
What a disgraceful company!

I ordered two nitro remote control cars from you (order number #100027762) at considerable expense, over £350,00, for Christmas presents this year. After opening them on Christmas day neither would run despite watching your DVD, visiting your website and watching scores of videos on youtube. Five hours later I decided to give up, causing misery to my son and nephew on Christmas day.
I have been trying the car (Condor pro) constantly since and have discovered that it is not possible to blow through the connection between the rubber tube and the top of the exhaust. The car will start when primed but cuts out almost immediately.
My brother in law has the other car (NBC Truggy) and has informed me he has spent over eight hours since Christmas day trying to start his and although it does occasionally start it also cuts out immediately and is incredibly difficult to start in the first place. Information I have researched from the internet says the car should not be this difficult to start as it comes pre set from the factory.

I have traced one of the problems back to a faulty exhaust (condor pro) The valve that connects the top of the exhaust to the top of the fuel tank is blocked. I spent £49 on a new exhaust from a different shop and the car started immediately, however during the first tank run in the gears stripped themselves without even touching the throttle! Would like either a replacement car or a refund or I will be going to trading standards as I was sold a faulty vehicle. The second car I was sold won't even start despite being primed (nbc truggy) research suggests these cars should not be this impossible to start and I would also like this car replaced or refunded and I will buy from a different company!

Beware - terrible customer service
Unfortunately 0 star ratings aren't available. Their customer service is attrocious, NitroTek try and fob you off continually saying customer service do not have telephones and only deal with email, this makes the whole process very painfully slow when dealing with returns/complaints.
My son purchased a 1/20 Airsoft BB RC Tank - USA M60 on July 21st which failed to fire after 6 BB (20 mins including some driving)
It was returned to Nitrotek as soon as possible requesting a refund as the tank failed so soon, and was not satisfactory quality or fit for purpose. It arrived with them within 10 days of purchase after waiting for return numbers and postage etc.
It took them almost 4 weeks to acknowledge its return and refused a refund offering to fix and return it, saying my son had possibly loaded dirty BB (they were brsnd new.) To cut a very long story short it took at least 10 phone calls, and the best part of 30 emails - until late December to get a full refund on the tank and a further week or 2 to get the return postage back.
They are the worst company I have ever dealt with by a very long way, they want to make your claim last so long you quit and take the repaired item back, they held £58 belonging to a dissapointed 14yr old for 5 months. If you have no product issues you may be OK, but my advice - avoid at all costs.

AFTER TAKING A LONG TIME TO BUILD THE RC BUGGY, DUE TO ALL PARTS BEING INCORRECTLY PACKED AND RUBBISH MANUAL, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. CONTACTED THEM AND I HAVE TO SAY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING, VERY RUDE AND ABRUPT, YOU ARE BLAMED FROM THE INITIAL EMAIL RESPONSE AND THAT THEME CARRIES ON, NO GESTURE OF GOOD WILL WHATSOEVER, NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY AND EXPLAIN IT IS YOUR FAULT AND BASICALLY TOUGH LUCK AND TO FURTHER PURCHASE FROM THEIR WEBSITE FOR FAULTY PARTS. WELL SHOVE IT COWBOYS I WILL PURCHASE ELSEWHERE. YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS AND FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD FROM OTHER REVIEWS YOU WILL SOON HAVE TRADING STANDARDS ON YOUR BACK AND SO YOU DESERVE.

Dont waste your money with these pillocks!
Bought a model buggy for my son christmas 2014 at £170. Worked for fifteen minutes then speed controller packed up. Simple I thought, should be covered under warranty. How wrong was I? Useless online advice from their help desk got nowhere. Told i needed to wait for returns number which never appeared so said i was returning it anyway for repair. Nothing for six weeks despite endless emails asking for updates. Then informed that i needed to provide proof I had even sent it! Cut a long story short had to got through small claims court to get them to repair the model, finally got it back over six months after it stopped working. Pity as i liked the look of some other models, but i will never deal with this bunch of goons again.

I would use again for small parts
Pre ordered nitro car online, had no email on the dispatch date so decided to email them (as you cannot talk to anyone in store) and received an acknowledgment email back stating NitroTek would try to answer within 24hours. 20 hours later got an email back with tracking number. When I tracked my parcel it stated the parcel was NOT collected due to overweight item. Again I had to email and wait another 20 hours before a reply, by this time I had received my order. So far so good with the product but not having a phone contact that could have answered my question in 5 minutes (not waiting 40 hours) would have given more stars.
I would definitely recommend reading other reviews before buying from this site.

Worst company I have ever had dealings with 1 is generous
I brought a build it yourself rc car for my son for Xmas. He spent 10 hours building it only to find missing parts / incorrect parts for his model. I phoned the technical support line that was supplied in the manual. After phoning several times you are put in a que longest I spent trying to speak with someone was 2hours 45 minutes. When NitroTek did answer I was told thes is a sales line not a technical support line you will need to create a ticket on our website. Once I had created this I then had to wait 7 days for a response. Over the next 3 weeks I did nothing but argue via email about what was wrong with the car. They eventually decided it was the wrong gear had been sent out and said a replacement had been ordered. 7 days later I was still waiting for the missing parts and replacement gear so I emailed them again to ask how long this was going to take. A few days later I get an email back saying the gear is not the problem it's the wrong chassis. This whole drama went on for a total of 2 months to get the replacement parts. Once there's arrived and fitted the car was completed. However it did not work, I emailed again and I was told I had done something wrong and not followed the instructions. After getting no where with this company I took the car to a recommend hobbies shop, who where very helpful and had a lot of business from customers who had brought from these cowboys! For an extra £35 the went through everything electrical and informed me that the program that runs the computer was wrong the fixed this and I have no issues with it since. I will never buy goods for this Cowboy company again they don't like to help or admit there wrong. I advise anybody thinking of buy goods from this company to spend a little more at a local hobby shop to get much better value for money and a hole lot less aggregation and a happy child!

Ordered from Nitrotek on the 30 May, received helicopter item on the 2nd June. Only problem is that it hasnt worked out of the box. Called Nitroteks number, which found out later is a sales line and not a technical line and was told to email there support team, emailed them and advised of the issue, NitroTek refused my exchange\return. I have been emailing via their online ticketing system for the last 3 weeks to get RMA details to get the product returned under the 7 Day cooling off period (Which I notified them 2 days after receiving the goods) and Im still no further forward. Advised them of distance selling regulations and the sales of goods act but they are totally oblivious to these and fail to offer any kind of customer support.

As stated by other reviews the returns T & Cs are immoral and some of them breach what is stated in consumer regulations, sales of goods act etc etc

Im currently going through my bank to get this resolved but I have also been mailed the issue over to trading standards.

Totally avoid this company and shop elsewhere, just check out other review sites and the customers who have had the same issues with returns.

CHRISTMAS PRESENT TEARS IN FEBRUARY ank
Bought a Pershing Tank from Nitrotek. First the firing mechanism jammed. Sent it back at £12.80 (cheapest option) which has still not been refunded. Took nearly 5 week's to come back. Problem fixed but after 10 minutes running time the tanks near side track does not run at the same seed as the offside causing it to pull to the left continuously. Have asked for a refund now as the product is clearly not fit for purpose. If I don't get any satisfaction I will use Cheshire Trading standards and will not hesitate to pursue them until I get my money back. In the meantime I have to try to explain to my 8 year old why his Christmas present doesn't work. Quite the worst online company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. NitroTek don't deserve the 1 out of 5 that I have given them, it should be zero.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER use this company to buy anything from NitroTek are totaly useless, i spent nine weeks trying to get my money back from them for a faulty tank and have only just got my refund. I sent endless emails made countless phone calls to which you can only get hold of somebody on sales and not tech support had to eventually get hold of citizens advice plus my bank to finaly kick them up the arse and refund me.the guy on the phone just sounds like a cracked record going over the same response as if reading it from a script and will help as little as possible.as i have said NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY if you value your sanity and hard earened money

Poor products - Terrible service
Their products are of poor quality and their service just as bad.

I received a Nitro Truck as a christmas present for my brother. Immediately it could be seen to be poor quality.

After correctly setting up, the radio controller would continually disconnect.
The truck was taken to a local professional model shop, where it was indeed diagnosed as faulty ( and poor quality).

Contacting Nitrotek to return, I had to pay for expensive return postage myself.

After over a month of waiting, and contacting Nitrotek, NitroTek came back saying the truck was fine and wanted additional payment to post back.

Arguments back and forth ensued, but their customer service has been terrible.

All I want is a refund so I can move on from this, but they outright refuse.

Do not use this company. NitroTek are a decade behind other online merchants in terms of levels of service and attitude to customers. They do not care.

I ordered an RC tank for my sons birthday and it didn't work. It made me as the father feel awful as he was incredibly disappointed.

I ordered immediately another one from Amazon which arrived the next day and worked straight away.

I returned the broken article to Nitrotek.

They refused to refund.

They sent a report on the item admitting the receiver they sent was faulty. But they refused to refund.

They based their refusal by saying another component had been damaged in transit back to them and this was my fault.

There are a few problems with this:

1) it could have been originally sent in this damaged condition, the receiver was.
2) it could have been damaged during transit to me, I took a picture of the box on arrival it was battered.
3) Is it really damaged? I asked twice for a picture of it, they never sent me one.

Note you cannot talk to anybody, everything is by email. They wait for 24 hours before they reply to emails.

I've resorted to making a section 75 claim on my credit card.

Internet commerce thrives by building and sustaining a reputation for reliability. This company will not last another 12 months.

Don't be sucked in by positive trustpilot reviews. They offer a discount following purchase if you leave a 5 star review! I was suckered into this one.

Do not use this company.

Worst after sales support I have ever had. Actually, there is NO after sales support available
I made the mistake of not searching for customer reviews before dealing with Nitrotek. Big mistake. Everyone whose purchase has gone OK and who did not have any after sales issues to be sorted out rates them highly, because NitroTek invest in their sales process. But everyone who needs after sales support will sooner or later lose the will to live. Countless problems. Absolutely impossible to get any help from them. Here's my final posting on one of the the support tickets I had to set up. Impossible to actually speak to anyone.

"Dear Nitrotek,

You know what, I give up. It just isn't worth the hassle. Your systems may tell you that the item was included in the delivery, but it simply wasn't. Someone made a mistake when they processed the despatch, it happens, but the true measure of a company is in how they deal with these mistakes.

So you are leaving a customer that has paid for goods they have not received. There is simply no way I would have been spending time following this up for about £10 if I had received the parts.

I'm afraid I made the mistake of not searching for reviews of Nitrotek before buying from you, I will not make the mistake again. I now know your after ales service has frankly the worst reviews I have ever seen, and my experiences have confirmed that those reviews are entirely justified. Your company clearly has an entirely deliberate policy to invest absolutely nothing in after sales, for example it is impossible to speak to anyone on the phone unless you want to buy something. That speaks volumes.

It must be a truly depressing business to work for, you have my sympathy.

For the sake of a tenner, you have left me totally frustrated and unsatisfied, and depressed at the precious time I have had to waste dealing with Nitrotek.

Your after sales service will eventually put you out of business, take my word for it."

Horrible customer service
Bought a Backwash Pro from these guys. Had a few problems with this car from the get go, idle screw had not been set up properly and the car ran away popping a rear dogbone out. Thought I had lost an O ring but when I stripped down the other side NitroTek hadn't even bothered to install O rings.

I hand delivered the car back to them for repairs In November and was told to expect a two week turn around. It got to December and they told me to expect it to be 4 weeks (I had to chase them, they didn't bother to inform me of any delays)

It's now January the 16th and I'm still having to chase them, and honestly I am going to be contacting my bank and the CBA to pursue a full refund.

Dont trust Nitrotek
I bought a car Maruader 30 cc from Nitrotek and it broke down after my first tank. The diff on the car is not enough to handel the force and breaks down after one tank. I contacted support and after sending pictures of the car and diff NitroTek asked me to send the diff to them. I has no gone more then two month and I am stil waiting for my parts. I have asked and asked what happends and now they dont even write back. The diff is the same as on smaller cars and not up to the task also there is no such diff for sale on there site. Also the specifications on there site was wrong for the car as they didnt deliver with the controller as specified, they say they can change specification without any responsibility. Also there swedish support dont work and the swedish support/order number goes to someone who dont speak swedish or English. I now have a brand new car without parts and are waiting for any respons. Nitrotek is not reliable - dont buy from them is my advice.

Buyer Beware!

This company sent me a faulty item which was covered in scratched and dints, poorly packaged and not fit for purpose. Upon contacting them I was given a ticket number and told someone would be in touch. A few days passed and nothing. Then I received a reply thanking me for my order but no reference to the complaint I had made. I had to contact the company owner through my paypal transaction and he declined the return/refund request and basically told me it wasn't in my best interests to send it back.

So dispute escalated through paypal. I have one the case and can now send the item back for a full refund but I have to cover the cost of returning this item. Poor customer services and a total rip off, Im so glad I paid through paypal, otherwise I would of had to fight for a refund. Will never use them again. Check out the other reviews poor reviews and think twice before ordering.
