Wear a mask
I went to Oreilly's in Emporia, Virginia and O'Reilly Auto Parts didn't have what I needed. The representative was very kind and took his time to help me. There were about 5 employee's on the floor. Not one of them wore a mask. They were also not distanced from one another. I then went to Advance Auto Parts and every employee had a mask on and were using every precaution for safety. They also had what I needed. So, I will be shopping at Advance from now on.

Poor customer service
This is hands down the worst customer service I have dealt with! I never take the time to write reviews but this was truly insane!. I had purchased 2 6V batteries which carried a minimum 12 month warranty, although this is not a great sign, it is still a warranty.
Within 8 months, the batteries died so I took them back since O'Reilly Auto Parts were "under warranty". O'Reillys replaced the batteries with new ones which carried the same 12 month warranty. Within 9 months the replacement 6V batteries were dead. I again returned the batteries and was concerned this was now the second time I had to replace these batteries. O'Reillys replaced the batteries with new ones and I went on my way hoping this was the last issue. Luckily I was dealing with someone who had a bit of common sense on this first issue. Within 8 months, guess what, these batteries were dead, so I did what anyone would do. I returned to O'Reillys and asked them to replace the batteries since they are still under warranty. They told me the batteries were no longer under warranty since they use the "Original Purchase Date: which was now over 2 years ago. I asked why they were selling a product that would not last a minimum of 12 months and why they think it is logical to try and apply a warranty from 2 sets of batteries ago that had nothing to do with the ones I was returning. Their response, "even though these batteries were purchased within the last 8 months, we apply the warranty from the original purchase". I demanded to speak with a regional manger about the issue and guess what... he said the same thing. Common sense would say if you give a consumer a product and tell them it has a 12 month warranty, that warranty should start from the time you took that specific product. O'Reillys management and staff however lack the common sense to see that each product is independent of the others and should therefor restart a warranty when giving a customer a replacement part. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out each set of batteries was poorly manufactured thus resulting in battery failure before the 12 month warranty. Rather than ceasing to do business with the manufacturer of the battery, O'Reillys has felt it is a smart idea to provide their customers with a poor product and then replace it with the same poor product knowing it won't last and they don't care. As a very simple comparison, if you, the consumer was to buy a car with a 3 year warranty and the car was found to be ineffective, was then given a new car, one would think this "new car" would have no issues and would definitely not be compared to the other car. If you are a person with absolutely no common sense, no concern for customers you serve or lack of integrity please apply for a position at oreillyauto.com where they are always looking for someone who can help push their junk inventory to the public.
Sincerely,
Someone who cares about others.

Worst Customer Service I Experienced
I would not recommend buying anything from O'Reilly's Online Store (I'm OK with the local stores). The online shopping experience with O'Reilly is totally a disaster and nightmare.

I ordered a Jeep Hitch but O'Reilly Auto Parts shipped me a pump instead. I called back and told them I can ship the pump back or drop it at their local store and asked them to ship me a hitch. However, their customer service was quite impatient and told me that they will never ship my hitch to me unless they found the missing one.

I argued that it was not my fault shipping the hitch to a wrong place. Moreover, it's not my responsibility to wait for an unknown period of time because of their fault.

However, the customer service kept saying that I have to wait till they found "MY" hitch. Their logic is quite stupid because: before I receive hitch, it's not mine. All duty is lay upon the O'Reilly store or the carrier.

I asked the store the ship me another hitch or give me an estimation on when they can find "MY" missing hitch but they told me, impatiently, they won't ship me anything and, there is no maximum waiting time before they can find "MY" hitch.

Now I required for a refund and will buy the hitch from their competitor.

I do online shopping for over 15 years. O'Reily Online Store is the worst one I ever met. If you want to buy something from them, you'd better stop.

Great Customer Focus
I had the opportunity to be serviced by the store on 83rd Ave in Peoria, AZ. I worked with the Store Manager, Robert Robinson III, purchasing a 2016 GMC Acadia battery. O'Reilly tauts a low price guarantee and O'Reilly Auto Parts proved it today. We found a battery at Advanced Auto and brought it to their attention. Not only did they accept the lower price, they even called the competing store to see if there were any other deals that we did not know about so we could get the best possible price.
In these times, every penny counts and this store went above and beyond to ensure every cent that we paid counted and wasn't waisted. You don't find that too often. Thank you for your focus on customer service.

Compare prices before buying
O'Reily used to be my favorite. Now O'Reilly Auto Parts don't even try to be competitive... and seemingly don't think anyone will check their prices against their peers. The following quotes are from the respective. Com sites. There are many more businesses selling Cardone 961012 power steering pumps, but I think you get the idea. I have no receipt from O'Reily because I'm not willing to pay double for the same part I got elsewhere

Rotten company
Ordered a new alternator for Pontiac G-6 from Colby Kansas O'Reilly's. I installed the alternator a new belt and started the car. In about 10 minutes the car died. I replaced the battery and the same thing happened. I had to get the car to the shop the next day for a transmission solenoid replacement and was panicking because I had been waiting a while to get it into the shop. The next day, I took the alternator back to O'Reilly's for spin test. The alternator was no good. We had opened the box at O'Rielly's and put my core in the box. The box appeared to have been opened and there was no cardboard protective roll on the pulley. The instructions were oil soaked and nearly illegible. I ended up taking a rebuilt one and installed it. This one worked. The big problem was that the car repair company put me at the back of the line again. We had to wait 2 1/2 weeks before we could get the car back into the shop and complete the repair. ALWAYS make them spin the alternator before you take it out of the store. I lost a whole nights sleep and had to drive 35 miles back to Colby to get the replacement alternator. I should have ordered a new one from S & W supply of Colby. In the long run, it would have been cheaper.

Great Experiences so far with team member Frank at O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Oak Ridge, TN
Wonderful experience with team member, Frank, at O'Reilly's in Oak Ridge, TN. He is always very courteous and willing to help each time I have made a visit there. He has assisted me with installing a new headlight bulb and changing my windshield wiper blades. He needs to be promoted with a really nice pay increase. When researching the company, I was shocked at the low pay these employees receive compared to the 11.6B in revenue last year with net profit of 1.75B. O'Reilly, you need to pay those that make your company profitable far better. O'Reilly Auto Parts need to feel valued and appreciated.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE
I was on my way to work when my battery light came on, as I watched the voltage indicator go down I know nothing about cars but knew I needed to stop and get it checked. I went to O'Reilly's on Orchard Lake in Farmington Hills, and was greeted right off the bat with outstanding service. Renaldo the store manager is Amazing. He was so knowledgeable and so helpful. He immediately diagnosed the problem and gave me advice on what needed to be done. As if that was not enough, he offered to take out the battery and charge it (for no charge)! I am a Regional Manager for several dental offices and know customer service. Renaldo went above and beyond and I cannot say enough about how impressed I was and was treated! I will go back to O'reilly's every time and if you want Exceptional service go see Renaldo! Thanks again!

Actually a decent place to buy paint
Most of your auto parts retailers (Auto Zone, Advance, Carquest, etc) will have your basic paint chemicals like quarts of lacquer based primer, a few generic colors, and some basic clear coat as well as a few aerosol cans that "match" factory colors.

O'Reilly's has them too, but not a lot of people know that behind the counter (you have to ask for it) there is a whole catalog of paint chemicals and supplies and a handful of stores even mix their own paint if you can provide a paint code off the car in question.

Chemicals, sanders, paint guns, safety gear. Primer, sealer, reducer, paint, hardener, clear coat, activator. Lacquer, acrylic, urethane. O'Reilly Auto Parts can get their hands on some amazing things... but make sure you're selecting the proper combination of chemicals (make sure they all have the same base).

Went above and beyond!
Our battery died in the parking lot of a store about ten minutes from the O'rielly Auto Parts store in Mt Pleasant. I called to ask if there was any way O'Reilly Auto Parts could help us. Leo came to us and tried to jump us off and couldn't get it to start. He went back to the store, got us a battery and returned to put it in for us. They also checked the alternator for us. They didn't have to do any of this. The Christmas spirit is definitely alive at O'reilly's in Mt Pleasant. A huge thank you to all of them for their kindness to us in our time of need!

Where are your people?
Walk in, can hear 2 men talking but not see them, look up my 3 windshield wipers numbers, no one ever talked to anycustomer, 3 people, I am ready, & no associate around! I look, I say loudly, Hello, I look again & finally 1 appears. Never looked at me or spoke to me. Worst customer service I have ever seen & I will not be back. I will instead go back 1 block & go to auto zone where O'Reilly Auto Parts really were busy!

Incompetent works/extremely bad service
My husband and I went to the business loop location to buy some parts for my sons car. While waiting for parts we overheard the female employee be super disrespectful to a veteran telling him he should remember his military number by heart even though he offered to show her his military card. The parts we were quoted the night before were all wrong and we ended up paying way to much considering the parts online were $125. Cheaper. But that wasn't even the problem the employees their are so incompetent it took them almost an hour to find the right parts and than after spending $250 on parts I had to deal with the guy who was waiting on us run his mouth and say to what are we having a bad day and ect. We will never go to your business loop location.

Avoid calling THIS store at all cost - 1600 E MICHIGAN AVE YPSILANTI, MI 48198
4/1/2020 Called this store after experiencing technical difficulties occurred on website. Spoke with Alisa (?) Worst customer service EVER! Only wanted two parts. Kept saying "WHAT?" and "WAIT, WAIT HOLD ON ONE MINUTE" and "OH, OKAY, CAN YOU GIVE THAT TO ME AGAIN." She was talking to in-store customers and other techs while on the phone with me then, after all of this, she had the nerve to place me on hold. I waited for six minutes, while I cooked breakfast. Finally looked on e phone for the time I'd waited and hung up... and called BILL at the 2165 WASHTENAW AVE Oreilly's store. It was BILL who saved the sale for Oreilly's. I was so ready to make my purchase with AutoZone!

Not going back.
Went in and got some wheel bearings for my 2002 Mazda and the guy recommended if we replace one front one, we should replace the other front. So we bought two bearings and the greese. Guy was helpful and nice. Downside. The bearings were junk took them to two mechanics and O'Reilly Auto Parts told me to never go back where I got these. They broke instantly, won't take them back. So now in the same boat I was in got to get more and re do my car.

Don went above and beyond!
I recently was in the Harrisonburg, VA store for a headlight that had been out for months! I was on my way home from work and was having a horrible time seeing to drive in the dark without the headlight. I went to O'Reilly's just to see if O'Reilly Auto Parts could help me, after another store had told me they couldn't. Don who was an Assisted Manager at the Harrisonburg location went above and beyond anything I could have ever asked for! Not only did he change the headlights for me, once he put the headlights in the one that was out was still not working! He then proceeded to do anything he could think of to fix it. He finally fixed the headlight and I can now drive safely to and from work! THANK YOU SO MUCH DON!

O'Reillys wiggins ms poor customer service
My 16 yr old daughter went to oreillys in wiggins ms last night just as the wind and rain was starting to pick up from hurricane Sally to get windshield wipers on her car. The man behind the counter sold her a ver nice set of wiper blades but when she asked for help to install them he told her he's not allowed to go outside due to covid and sent her on her marry way! Thank the lord my daughter was able to make it home safe driving extremely slow barely able to see past her hood with no windshield wiper blades on her car. When I look on the website for oreillys of wiggins it says O'Reilly Auto Parts will help you find the perfect windshield wiper for your car and INSTALL them! Thanks for helping my new driver feel safe on the road last night oreillys of wiggins from a concerned mom!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST PLACE TO GO FOR AUTO PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
I HAVE BEEN BUYING AUTO PARTS FOR MY BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS. I HAVE USED AUTOZONE, ADVANCE AND AUTOWORKS AUTO PARTS STORES. ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO, I STARTED USING O'REILLY AUTO PARTS AND NOW HAVE THE BEST PARTS STORE IN MY AREA, VAN WERT, OHIO. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL AND THE MANAGEMENT GOES ALL OUT TO PROVIDE ANY TECHNICAL OR PRODUCT INFO AVAILABLE TO ENSURE QUALITY PARTS. O'REILLY IS THE BEST AND HOPEFULLY HERE TO STAY FOR YEARS AND YEARS TO COME! GREAT JOB TO J. D. AND ALL THE GUYS AT THE VAN WERT; OHIO LOCATION.

Don't bother ordering ahead
While working on a car, we needed a part, so ordered it for pick up. We didn't receive it's ready email, so I decided to go in to pick it up and if anything, it could be pulled from the shelf. When I got there, there were two gentlemen working at the desk and no customers. Leroy was apparently new or had a cognitive disability and couldn't find the part in the back. After looking unsuccessfully for about ten minutes he decided to go get it from the front of the store. That was also difficult for him. Eventually, he found it. His manager, Tyler, showed him how to ring it up and asked for my ID. I didn't have an ID, but I had the email of the paid receipt for this $8 part. HE WOULDN'T GIVE IT TO ME! I get it, O'Reilly Auto Parts need to know it is paid for and getting picked up by the right person, but it was an $8 part and I had the receipt. I had to go home and return with my license to pick up. He didn't even ask for proof it was paid for. A little common sense would have been great. Tyler is not a customer-first manager (he said he was the manager, sad choice by OReily if that's true}.

They sell poor quality car covers - they cause damage!
About three weeks ago I purchased a car cover for my classic 1956 Buick Roadmaster. It was at the shop and the power steering box was being sent out of Alaska for rebuilding. It was going to take longer than anticipated so the shop owner asked me to get a cover for the car as it would be outside. I had only an indoor cover on hand, so went to O'Reilly's at 58 College Road in Fairbanks and purchased what was the most expensive cover, one that was supposed to protect the car. No warnings of problems with residue or scuffing damage. Anyone who knows me or my car knows it has excellent care and is babied. I was at the shop when the cover was put on and the car surface (black) was in perfect condition. The part came in and the shop owner took the cover off and was horrified by the scuffing or residue issues caused by the cover. Photo attached showing damage on trunk. Damage also on top, hood and fenders. I talked to the Assistant Manager Dakota at the local O'Reilly store where I purchased the cover and he found the purchase information. Said there had never bee such a problem. He offered no sympathy, no refund of cover cost or help with having the car hopefully able to be professionally buffed out. I would never have purchased or used the cover had I thought there was any chance of such damage. The shop owner and his employees can back this up 100%. O'Reilly Auto Parts have known and worked on this car for 12 years. Do not buy auto covers from O'Reilly's! Jeff Cook, Fairbanks, Alaska. *******@gci.net

Very Unhappy
I ordered front cv axles from the Oreillys on 5220 Stone Mountain HWY. After taking nearly 45 minutes to order the parts, I was told the parts would arrive at the store approximately 3 hrs later. When I went to pick up the parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts were the WRONG PARTS. I ordered cv axles for a 2005 Acura RL, and got cv axles for Honda Civic. The good news is I went to another Oreillys (In Snellville, GA) to find this out before I paid my mechanic to put them on. The gentleman explained to me the parts I was given were not the right parts. So now I have go to a different Oreillys across town and return the cv axles and hope they have the ones I need... and make sure they are right ones. Very frustrating.

Does not want to sell parts
I was at the oreilly store Laramie WY and this one worker was been very rood to me and when I was at the parts desk he would take and be looking up parts for other people wheal I was standing their and he would be calling up people to the desk that were be hind me. So I took and walked out. And went to the pace across the street I don't think I will step foot in to a another oreillys every again and the parts Anthony

Do your homework
Be careful of these auto parts chains. There is a huge markup on their parts. O'Reilly Auto Parts are ok if you need the part right now. If you can wait go to Rock Auto. You will save at least 50 t0 70 percent with a much larger choice O rielly stock didn't go up 400 percent for no reason. Know you prices before you buy. I buy as much as I can for my business from rock auto. Same part, same make, only half the cost

Minerva ohio store
That assistant manager at the Minerva Ohio store Cassondra has been having an affair with a First call commercial account customer I have caught her at my house several times while she was on the clock delivering parts since when did the assistant manager deliver parts when there is a driver specifically hired for that? There was no reason for her to be in the back room and having to walk back and get her drink from the back room hanging out while on company time doing what? Along with text messages to my husband? And it all started because she got her brakes changed on company time? I hope this is not the type of people this company wants representing them! Wives be aware if you have parts delivered from OReillys Minerva that Cassondra is going to bring them and pursue your man! I hope that extra effort helped her meet her goals because we will no longer be doing business At Oreillys.

Horrible service
Purchased a part at O'Reilly for my daughters car. We even did expedited shipping because we needed it urgently. Four days later and the part did not turn up. I contacted O'Reilly and it was determined the part was lost in transit. The worst part is you cannot get reimbursed until O'Reilly Auto Parts are reimbursed by UPS or the part is returned to them. No consideration is given to the person waiting on the part and whether or not they can afford a new part. The decent thing would be to to send out another part to the customer, while you sort out your problem with UPS. This would be my first and last experience with this company their policy suck. If you have no problem paying for the same part twice then go to O'REILLY. This is why people love shopping at places like Amazon they look out for their customers and does not hesitate to replace the product.

They SUCK go to Auto Zone
Made two trips for a blub for my 2008 Kia Rondo. Simple. After looking up on my OWN, I found the correct bulb for my vehicle this after TWO trips to OReillys and getting the same line... this the bulb you need, O'Reilly Auto Parts only come in two packs and that will be $50. BULL! I found the correct bulb after watching a YouTube video and looking on OReilly's sight to find they have single bulb that is the CORRECT one for my car... and they are $21 each. FAR cry from the crap the dude at the counter was trying to spoon-feed me. Guess it's because I am a woman they think I am dumb. Will never shop at this place again!

GOOD SELLER GOOD PRICES
I WENT TO O'REILLY FOR BRAKE PADS. O'Reilly Auto Parts HAD THEM IN STOCK & A VERY GOOD PRICE... THEN I WENT DOWN THE ISLES TO SEE IF I NEEDED ANY OTHER ITEM. A SALES GUY ASKED IF I NEED ANY HELP I SAID I WAS THINKING ABOUT A NEW CAR WAX... THE GUY SPENT 20 MINUTES TELLING ME ABOUT THE DIFFERENT WAXES. HE ASKED ME SPECIFICALLY WHAT CAR WHAT COLOR, AND EVERY OTHER QUESTION KNOWN TO MAN ABOUT MY CAR. THEN I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY OTHER CAR. HE THEN ASK ME ABOUT THAT CAR... ANYWAY I SPENT AROUND $25.00 ON THE RIGHT WAX FOR MY CARS! THEN WE GOT INTO TIRE SHINE. I WAS USING THE WRONG TIRE SHINE... THEN HE TOLD ME BEFORE YOU PUT THE SPRAY ON THE CURVED SPONGE YOU HAVE TO WASH IT WITH A LITTLE DISH DETERGENT, I COULD'NT WAIT TO GET ON MY WAY! I GUESS WE SPENT ABOUT A HALF HOUR. I FINALLY SAID THANKS! HE WAS SO POLITE, HE SHOOK HANDS AND I GOT ON MY WAY! WHAT A GREAT GUY & WHAT A GOOD EXPERIENCE! THANK YOU O'REILLY...

Big "Oooof"
I got hired pretty quick due to my experience with auto parts stores. In the first month, store manager promised THREE different people a manager position. As in, he planned on going to a different store, and told all three of us he was training us to be THE manager of the store. This was Dowagiac, MI, if you're wondering. He got fired for sexual harassment to a different employee, not long after I got a job there. So the District Manager came in quite frequently to keep things going. That's Jeremy. Said some pretty sketchy/creepy things to me, I felt obligated to play along' for the sake of my job. It was weird. And, I basically got put in charge of actual Store Manager tasks, for $10 an hour. And one single day off every week. No one in that store actually cared about how it functioned. Everything was OFF. No one put truck away properly. No one answered the phones. That fell on ME. So. Nope. You have to have the absolute least amount of respect for yourself to work at O'Reilly. My best days at O'Reilly were when I was too shaky to drive (panic attacks), and had a broken phone so I couldn't call in sick. Found a job with a consistent schedule that payed $14/hr. The O'Reilly computer system is absolutely outdated. It's hard to use. Phones don't have caller ID and are outdated as well. Whoever is looking into this job, don't. Just don't. Love yourself.

Great Service
I went to the 1748 S Missouri Ave location and had a really great experience. Joseph offered to change my battery, and turns out there was another problem with my car, he spent 1.5 hours in the hot sun running tests and trying different things trying to figure out what was wrong with my car without a single complaint and a happy attitude. Eventually he was able to figure it out and I was happily on my way. Amazing customer service, he could have just sent me to a mechanic when the car wouldn't start but instead he helped me out.

Website says one thing, store says another
Went to our local O'Reilly's to ask about replacing a headlight, which on the website it states: Wiper Blade & Bulb Installation - Free
Our Parts Professionals will install wiper blades and replacement bulbs free of charge (with purchase of wiper blades or bulbs). Whether you've bought front or rear wipers (or both), headlights or tail lights, we'd be happy to install them for you.
O'Reilly Auto Parts refused. Will not go back there again.
