DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE
These guys are a total scam. Do not order from them. Parts Avatar take payments through paypal but don't ship the product. They have no phone number but only an online chat, who tell you either (a) yeah yeah we shipped it - only they can't give you a tracking number, or (b) they tell you sorry the part is out of stock and we'll ship it when it arrives. They have no customer service options. It took me 4 days to get a tracking number - which after calling Purolator turns out was just the shipping label they printed up after I called them to ask where my package was. It's been 2 weeks and they cannot confirm anything other than they took my money.

STAY AWAY!
I cannot exemplify enough how much you really REALLY need to consider shopping somewhere else. No matter how good the prices might seem, the Customer Service is BRUTAL! It cannot be stated strongly enough about how bad the customer service really is. I placed an order on a Monday, the order was not even picked by Friday of that week. It was finally received by Purolator 8 calendar days after the order. (Keep in mind that PartsAvatar has your money by 2 days after the order). I got a notification from Purolator 10 days after the order that the packaged is damaged too badly for delivery. I emailed PartsAvatar immediately after getting the notification from Purolator and have emailed them a second time, and there is still no response. If you want to waste a bunch of time and loose a pile of money, then deal with these guys. If you want your parts in a timely manner and want to be treated with respect after spending 500 dollars, deal with someone else! The dispute through my bank will take 90 days. Parts Avatar have my money and I still need repairs on my vehicle and have to borrow the money now to get the parts from somewhere else.

If anything goes wrong you will get no satisfaction
I ordered front brake pads and rotors, a caliper, shocks, and bearings for my Chev pickup. On entering the year, model, and engine size, a list of parts shows up that says in big green letters "This part fits your vehicle". It really means MAYBE! When it turned out that some of them did NOT fit my vehicle, I was told that it was my mistake so Parts Avatar won't cover the cost of return shipping. Shipping rotors is about the cost of the rotors so too bad for me. They actually said, quote: "Also, we never want to disappoint our customers but in this case, we are abiding by our company policy." They kept telling me it was all my fault for selecting the wrong part, and hiding behind that word "policy". They use that word a lot, in every chat. Total impasse. Then, they told me I had selected the wrong brake pads as well, as my vehicle is 5600 pounds and not 7200 pounds GVW. I gave them the link to the manufacturer's website showing there is no difference... and of course when I received them, they did fit. They absolutely refuse to take responsibility for the fact that there website can lead you to order the wrong parts, and hence won't cover the cost of return shipping. Note also on core returns (the caliper in my case), the customer gets to pay for shipping too, so, might as well chuck it in the landfill.
Beware beware beware.
Oh also shipping is very slow. Maybe they have a policy about that, I don't know. Before they quickly try and blame the shipping company, I am talking about how long it takes them to get parts out their door, not the time in transit.

Do NOT shop here!
This company needs to be shut down. I am 10 days into an order for spark plugs and can't get a truthful answer to my order status inquiry. For one full week Parts Avatar have replied that my inquiry has been escalated and they will be responding. No response have ever been received. They say the same BS on each and every inquiry. I tried to cancel my order last week and they refused saying that it had been processed but still can't provide shipping information. At this time when we are all struggling to cope with Covid pandemic, and do some of our own vehicle maintenance, this company seems to go out of their way to cheat you. I have NOT been able to receive any actual feedback to my order inquiries. Read all real online reviews for this place and buyer beware! Do yourself a huge favour and shop elsewhere.

Unwilling to help or actually ship as said
Bought a bunch of brake parts and tuneup parts for my van. A week later half the brake parts and half the tuneup parts arrived. But not enough to do either job. 2 weeks go by and the rest doesnt show. I email customers service and am told will arrive by the 28th. A week after that I again talk to customer service who finally provide a tracking number. Check tracking and parts werent even shipped until AFTER Parts Avatar were supposed to be at my house. I was obviously angry with being lied to and asked for a refund on parts or at least a rebate. Consistently told told to just wait til parts arrive. Its now another week and a half later and still no pkg... I bought all my parts at local store and have done all the work and now driving the vehicle. Never using PartsAvatar again! Now to fight to get my money back...

Please strict into the parts shown in your web site.
I am a little unhappy that I did not receive the part that I intended to. This is the part that I ordered.

This is what I received.
Intermotor parts. A loose PCV valve without a printed package. V375 printed in the box but the part number printed in the part is 2343., I am certainly confused.
I would like you to show the excat part with real pictures so that not to confuse people who like to buy them. This is the only way that we can veryfy with the part showing it outer apperence as well as with part number in your web site. Now I am hesistent to buy parts again on my next visit.

Shipping isn't as fast as they say
I ordered 2 front wheel hubs. Only 1 was shipped but the order was marked as shipping in full indicating PA thought that the order was complete. I placed the ordered on a Sunday, didn't get confirmation of an accepted order or when item would be shipped until I contacted PA. I received the first package 10 days after placing the order - not 2-4 days as shown on the web site. I contacted PA to indicate I only received 1 item and was told that the "concerned department" would get back to me. Parts Avatar didn't. I contacted PA to find out what the status of my 2nd item was. Later I found out another delay in shipping. I finally received the item after waiting another week. Not impressed with my first order from PA.

Don't waste your money
I purchased set of headlights for $400. Once installed none of the signal lights worked( front back side mirrors or hazards)and would blow the fuse. Bought and change the fuse again it blew fuse. There is some kind of wiring issue that compromised the circuit. I contact parts avatar they're telling me I have to buy another set of headlights for 400 pay for the shipping to return the defective lights and then pay for shipping to get another set of lights. So basically I'm paying for shipping three times. Parts Avatar will not return because they say they are use which they are clearly not! All I did was try them but they're defective so they're clearly not used. You can't call anyone there you can only talk to someone on chat and it's very difficult to get any help. They send you a link on how to do a form but the link doesn't even work. It's confusing it says page not found is absolutely horrible customer service I'm out $400 and I'm not willing to spend another $400 to get another set of defective lights that they will not return.

Started off good on first couple orders
Tried partsavatar after I found my usual US part site got too pricy due to the sinking canadian dollar. Now i've used them 3-4 times and the most recent is why i'm changing my review. I order parts on a friday before noon and it wasn't shipped until the following monday evening. And when it was shipped Parts Avatar used the slowest possible shipping agent in canada... purolator. On partsavatars website they claim my parcel would arrive between the 6th and 10th (ordered on the 3rd) but purolator is quoting the 22nd. When i tried to contact them by phone, email, and the "chat" button i have yet to get a response. So only order if it saves a great deal of money and you don't need the parts for 2 weeks. Once again rockauto will be my goto parts store.

BS Company
Sorry I never did my homework! Ordered from this company only due to their indicating being a Canadian company. Wanted to support our country during covid 19 time. Ordered brake kit on July 7th. It is now August 8th 2020 and still no product. I was told by them shipment was picked up by Purolater. However having Purolater do a search, no pickup occurred only shipping label made out. I have been lied to on numerous times by their (chat) site. I would never order parts from them again and never recommend them to anyone. I firmly believe Parts Avatar never had the parts in the first place. At this point I am out almost $400. I have asked to have this order cancelled and return my payment. No answer from them. This has to be one of the most dis-respectful companies I have ever dealt with. I ordered a Napolean barbeque from Costco and Day and Ross delivered it to Calgary from Markham Ontario in 4 days. This is only to show a comparison. Covid can only be an excuse for so long.

Horrible experience and horrible customer service
I will try to keep this brief and hope this review will help you avoid major issues with this company. This was my first order and used their webpage to find front brake pads and rotors for my 2007 Honda. Order place. Packages arrived however were not well package so the rotor and pads ripped out of the boxes Parts Avatar were shipped in and had minor damage. I decided to move forward with installing the parts as the damage was minor. Once I took the brakes off my car I held up the rotor to my stock rotor and could clearly see it wasn't the right part. THE ROTOR WAS NOT INSTALLED. I contacted the company to advise their website recommended an incorrect part for my car and they advised it was my error as it is their expectation that their customer measure the stock parts to ensure fit. There are no warning messages noted on their page that tell you to take these steps. I advised how the parts didn't fit and were received with damage because they were not shipped in appropriate packaging to protect the parts. They walked me through the return process but hit me with a 20% restocking fee because I ORDERED THE WRONG PARTS. I escalated the issue and they wouldn't change their position. THIS COMPANY'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE ENCOUNTED IN OVER 10 YEARS. They do not have any phone numbers to call and will only deal with your issue by online help. I promise you that this is not a company you want to place an order with. There is much more to my story but the above is the gist of it.

I also had many issues getting my money back from them. They advised the refund was processed on their end and advised it was an issue with VISA. I spent hours talking to both PartsAvatar and Visa to address this. Visa recommended I file a "dispute investigation" with them and they would deal directly with PartsAvatar to resolve the issue; my experience in working with Visa was excellent. It was only after telling PartsAvatar that I was filing a dispute with Visa that my refund was processed. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

BE CAREFUL ORDERING FROM THESE GUYS.

Outcome fine, but the process is frustrating
The part that I ordered did not fit the vehicle, even though it was a "guaranteed fit".
When I tried to return the part I was given an RMA right away, which was great, but I was expected to pay the return shipping. This is where the disappointment came in.
There is no way to speak with a person in customer service. Everything is done via chat. Problem is, the customer service people sign on and off, changing mid conversation, requiring you to go through the entire explanation over and over. What could have been sorted out in a 15 min phone call took and hour and a half of chatting, resulting in a high level of frustration.
The issue was eventually sorted out to my satisfaction after several days of going back and forth and shipping was paid for by Parts Avatar so that part was good. I want to buy Canadian, but if this is what I have to go through, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Not as good as the competition.
I ordered a Raybestos parking brake hardware kit from PartAvatar.ca but Parts Avatar didn't have all the parts I needed to fix my 2010 Ford Ranger, which forced me to look elsewhere. I went to RockAutoParts.com in the US. They had everything I was looking for priced in Canadian dollars. Their cost for the kit was $7 cheaper. Their cost for shipping was cheaper. I would have saved myself about $15 dollars if I had ordered everything through RockAuto. It's interesting the RockAuto parts arrived on Monday shipped from Syracuse, N. Y. on Friday. The hardware kit from PartsAvatar.ca shipped on Friday from Ontario arrived on Tuesday. Now I have ordered other parts from PartsAvatar and was very satisfied with their service. This time around it was quite as satisfying. Just sayin'.

Don't expect any help if something goes wrong
Parts Avatar have BY FAR the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a Canadian company. Ordered a Left side upper control arm, received what was clearly a Right side control arm since the ABS wire bracked was on the wrong side - it did not even seem to be for the same car.

Online chat support was next to useless - they told me to follow website directions and I would be refunded. I shipped the parts back on my money. I waited the "policy" 10 business days, and when there was nothing still I contacted them again. When I finally got my refund it was 60% of what I paid. Their policy states that they will refund fully PLUS shipping expenses if it is their fault.

Contacting online support again and they said will investigate and get back to me - this never happened. A few days later I have to contact again, to finally be told that I don't know what I'm talking about and it was the right part in the box. I sent them pictures clearly showing the ABS bracket being on the wrong side as compared to my part and as compared to web photos of that exact part number. At this point, they just completely stopped answering my e-mails.

Chat line not very helpful
I couldn't seem to get my return shipping label so went on the chat line. The person I spoke to was very frustrating as Parts Avatar didn't answer my questions and kept telling me information I already knew like my email account (as if I didn't know what that was!) and where my part was shipped to (also knew that!). They just kept asking if there was anything else they could help me with but they didn't help me at all really.
I also ended up not shipping my old part back as the shipping cost was over $60 and the part was only worth about $80 so if they couldn't reuse my part, I wouldn't have got money back and I would have spent even more money on shipping. The part they shipped me was the correct one though so that was the good part of this transaction.

Looking for a quick penny
I ordered some parts to fix up my car, their site advertises almost everywhere that order will ship out in 4-24 hours. I could days go by and I still don't have a tracking number so I contacted them about it, and Parts Avatar told me that the items have not been shipped out yet. I waited a few more days, and still nothing.

So got in contact with them again to cancel my order and get a refund, they said that they couldn't do it, and that the people who could were not in the office. Try again tomorrow, when I asked them what time someone would be in the office they said 7am-6:30pm EST, I asked why can't they talk to me today because it was only 6pm EST, in which I got no real response just more stalling until it was 6:30

Well the next day came and apparently my order shipped out, what a coincidence, so now when I ask for a refund its that they no longer have the items and that its out of their hands and in Canada post. So I contacted Canada post... no parcel under the fake tracking number they gave me. I did just type it into the online tracker either, I waited in line to connect with a actual person. Canada post for some reason decided to give the benefit of the doubt to the parts avatar for I don't now what reason.

Which brings me to today, Canada post still does not have the packages, not even the electronic information, and parts avatar still refuses to cancel and refund my order. They will refuse right up until they actually send the parts out most likely.

They are lairs and will not tell me the truth, you can find cheaper parts elsewhere, with people that actually care about customers, this company does not, they only want to make a quick penny from you in whatever way they can.

The worst business I've ever dealt with.
Parts Avatar is the worst business I've EVER dealt with. I ordered an exhaust manifold from them for my truck. When it arrived it was obviously NOT compatible with my truck. I returned it new and unused for a refund which I'm entitled to do under their satisfaction guarantee policy. Never heard from them. Tried calling them. No one answers. Tried emailing them. No one replies. Tried their online chat twice and each time had to wait in queue for more than 20 minutes. When I got to # 1 in queue and asked a question about the return and a refund I was both times disconnected at their end. Finally I tried something that I'd read online about what another customer did. I bombarded them with emails. I finally got their ridiculous generic response - 'we'll get back to you within 24 hours' No one did. I bombarded them again with emails and finally got a response. Their response was that Parts Avatar had received the return one day after the return cut-off date. That was a deliberate lie. I provided them with CanadaPost tracking data that showed it had been delivered 6 DAYS before they claimed it had. Then another generic response. I finally gave them an ultimatum to refund the full amount or I'd initiate a PayPal claim. Didn't get a response so I started the claim. After PayPal contacted them they indicated to PayPal that they would refund me the full amount but I'd first have to return the item! I provided PayPal with the CanadaPost proof of delivery and the copies of 2 emails from P. A. where they admitted the part had already been returned. PayPal did the right thing and ruled in my favour, provided a full refund and closed the case. The amount in question here is over $600. Parts Avatar is not a legitimate business. Don't be fooled by their somewhat slick website. Read the other reviews and do yourself a favour and don't give them any of your business. If you're looking for a legitimate auto parts dealer with good prices and cheap shipping to Canada go to RockAuto.

Great Service
I order quite a few parts for my car, I need to be able to find something quickly, easily and sometimes with support (to verify that the part really fits). PartsAvatar did a nice job, I could confirm that it worked, I could discuss and make sure before spending money on something (and not ordering the wrong part and having to wait for it to be exchanged), and I got exactly the make I wanted (there are some horrible and cheap knock offs)... there are two things that need improving (1) the website needs to remember my login, and it never did [and no option for it] and (2) when Parts Avatar are waiting for parts from a "warehouse" the system should update the order status so I am not wondering why it hasn't shipped.

Otherwise, great service and I shall order from them again.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST
I have ordered parts in the past from many sources and I choose depending on availability and price. This is the worst experience ever. My issue is clear cut and should take a few minutes to refund.

I ordered oil filter, copper washers and spark plugs that were supposed to be in stock. Only 2 of 8 spark plugs were delivered. Packing lists confirmed only 2 shipped. One packing list was from the actual company supplying the spark plugs. So I called them, VAST AUTO in Quebec, and agent told me Parts Avatar were out of stock and none on back order so probably will not be restocked. So I bought the 6 spark plugs that I needed locally.

I found a phone number online and called but could only leave a message with no call back 4 days later. So I went with he online chat option. "Danny" said the full order shipped so he made me send pics of the packing lists showing the missing spark plugs. Then he said someone would contact me.

After no word for 4 days, I went back to the online chat and asked for my refund. Again I was told that it was going to be processed but no timeline given. I asked for a phone number to speak with a human in Canada immediately. He told me the phone wasn't working because of COVID. The same lie given to other customers who reviewed on this site.

I think this is a fly by night company with virtually no infrastructure. I suspect they are mostly an order filling site who just resells and that's why they can't tell other customers where their orders are. At any given moment. They obviously don't have an adequate customer service department. I'm convinced that the online chat is manned by an offshore boiler room call centre. I got an email from "Danny" at 4 am so I'm assuming India. The lack of telephone contact is very sketchy. I suspect most positive reviews are bots or paid for reviews.

I have escalated my refund request to PAYPAL. It should resolve but I wish I found the real reviews at ReviewFeeder and saved myself all the time and headache.

Unreliable shipping
I ordered some parts for my car and was told Parts Avatar would be shiped by a certain time. I waited all week and recieved a notice but when i tried to track the package to find out when i would expect it there was no info. They ship threw canada post which is one of the slowest sources avaialable and they struggle to provide tracking info. After multiple attempts of trying to find out what is going on both threw canadapost and the website i was left stone walled and they refused to give me a return or solid information of the parts proof of shipment.

I can understand that I ordered parts during the covid but i ordered parts from 2 other websites and they shiped with in the same day i placed the order. Extremely disastisfied.

I would give negative stars if I could
So many things wrong with this site (mainly the costumer service, or lack there of). I will never order from them again and will never recommend them to a friend. I ordered break pads on April 20th. I was supposed to receive it April 23rd-30th. On May 4th I contacted customer service and I was told multiple contradicting things. One person gave me a tracking number that did not work, another person said it hadn't shipped yet (meanwhile on April 29 I got an email stating it shipped). Then when I asked about this, the customer service rep pretended to not be available. So unprofessional.
Then when the break pads finally arrived Parts Avatar sent the wrong ones. So I had to return them. But I didn't bother buying from this site again and good thing.
I returned break pads and sent them via mail on May 13th and it was 2 day shipping (which I paid $13). Therefore, it should have arrived May 15th. On their return policy it says that a refund will be given within 10 business day. Therefore, I should have received a refund on May 29th. That did not happen.
When in contact with another customer service rep they stated that the return was received on May 24th. Therefore, a late return should've been given on June 5th.
Then on June 11th, still no refund has been given. I contacted them again and they stated I would be contacted within 24 hours. It is now June 13th and still nothing.
Worst site I have ever dealt with. Don't buy from them. Very unprofessional. Still waiting for my refund.

Better communication or clarity
The items ordered seemed to take some time to be collected and prepared for shipping. Watching the Parts Avatar website it said the item had gone through the various segments, ending with "Parts Delivered" Well Parts Avatar were not! This caused me some concern as they were not at my door... or had they been stolen by a porch Pirate?

A clearer definition is needed! Parts Avatar should grasp the English Language and have as their LAST segment "Order with the delivery Company" Further to this concern when checking their (Purolator?) delivery status, it remained on their first segment for some days? My only hint was the items were in Ontario. OK Common sense was a few days to make the trip West, however the order remained in their first segment for some days. So were they sitting on a delivery dock somewhere?

Not sure if the few dollars saved was worth the long wait, the confusion and concern, as to where the parts were.

Liars, on two occasions. FIne to deal with when ordering, just wait until it goes wrong!
I ordered brake rotors. Then nothing happened. I chased this up a few days later, Parts Avatar said all is fine the order is being processed. 5 days later still nothing, Chased them again and informed item had been posted. 7days later item was actually shipped. So I was flat out lied to on two occasions. They Can't be trusted. Parts are cheap, most are junk. Pay more and go somewhere local. I went to ford in the end, I'd rather pay more than be lied to. Also on a previous order the transmission gasket leaked on day one. Replaced gasket from Ford, no leak now. Had to buy the transmission fluid twice and do the job twice. Trying for refund. No luck yet.

Stay away. Wish I could post 0 stars.
No support. Got some credit back after well over a months of difficult communications but NOW Parts Avatar took a restocking charge!. Bad packaging. Two Damaged items. Tried to work out a replacement but their phone lines are never working. Their online chat is a third party that cuts you off when they find out you are having support issues. Should have read reviews on Google Maps. They sent a PCV valve that looked like it came out of someone's engine or at least shows pliers marks. Door restraining device had torn gasket. Wiper blades were for the back window and too short when their web site hid that info on the bottom of the web page. Ordered OEM but got some knock off manufacture I have never heard of before.

It shouldn't be this difficult. Tried to support a Canadian company but if this is how they treat customers then they won't be in business long.

Poor customer service
Was looking for a canadian based parts provider and Parts Avatar seems worth trying. I ordered around $100 worth of parts and the majority came in rather quickly. But I'm still missing one part from the order (which was ordered on July 8th) and no one can tell me if it will be shipped or refunded. At this point, I don't care which, but like the other reviews on this site, their customer service is appalling. I've dealt with 3 "customer service" agents about this, and Paul was by far the worst. Just wanted to end the conversation. Regardless, I just want a resolution to this, but this will be the last time I purchase from them. I would NOT recommend them.

Worst customer service
I ordered an air filter for a 2015 MB GL 350 from the website. The parts arrived but Parts Avatar are completely the wrong parts. This happened on a long weekend so on the first business day after the weekend I packed them back up and sent them back following the instructions on the website. Emailed them and got a message back saying send them a picture of what was sent! I replied that were already on the way back. They will not pay the shipping costs to send the wrong part back. It is 100% their fault for having the wrong part on the website but they say "their policy" is to not pay for shipping. My advice is to just go straight to rockauto. Better site, better prices, faster shipping, far better customer service.

BEWARE Looks like going out of business
Ordered parts almost 3 weeks ago. Emailed twice to no avail. Chatted with someone online and Parts Avatar could say anything other than someone would get back to me. Did that twice to no avail. Was supposed to be delivered in 7 to 10 days. Asked for a phone number and they claimed their phone system was down. Googled for their phone number and called several departments and can't get anyone to answer. Not even in sales. Their business seems to take money fast enough but not delivering product as promised and either neglecting their phones altogether or as I said, looks like they are going out of business. ONLY GAVE IT ONE STAR BECAUSE THEIR IS NOTHING LOWER

Poor Customer Service
I recently ordered two parts and only received one, yet I was billed for both. I did the "live chat" twice and was told both times that my part was on its way. Days later I received an email requesting me to rate Parts Avatar. Attached to this email was an email advising me my part was in another warehouse and it would be an additional 6 days before it was shipped to me. I never received the email and I needed the part promptly so I did the "live chat" once again. The representative was not helpful at all and did not offer to make things right. I canceled the second item and contacted VISA to put a stop on the payment for the item I never received. I will not order from this company again, don't trust them!

Unprofessional, expensive, no price matching
After I purchased some parts for my Ford, couple of weeks later I needed to purchase another part (same as one from previous purchase).
I found somewhere else 80% less the same exact part and brand, and Partsavatar refused to match the price with either previous purchase or the next one if I was going to make one. Parts Avatar DON'T HAVE PHONE NUMBERS. Only live chat.
The live agent refuses to give me a number of manager (which I truly doubt they have a manger).
And then you now the random "sorry for inconvenience" bull$#*! was repeated over and over... and at the end VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.
So, no more Partsavatar.com... EVER.

Poor Initial Correspondence- Product was satisfactory- customer service... not so much!
Initially placed an order and received a confirmation of receipt, then nothing for several days indicating processing, shipping, etc. I re-ordered and received all the usual documentation and correspondence promptly. Initial order arrived (without my not receiving any shipping or tracking info) approximately 9 days after order was placed, while I was expecting delivery of the second order within three days of it's arrival. Contacted the company, and was advised that the return shipping costs of the unopened second order were on me, as it was a "mistaken Order". Despite advising them of the reason for the second order was a lack of confirmation of the first order by their company, I was left having to pay over $40 to ship the no longer needed order back! If I can find future products somewhere else, that will be my preferred choice from now on!
