2004 Buick Rendezvous' catalytic converter
-My catalytic converter was stolen so my car was undrivable
-I ordered the part on line it said it wouldn't be delivered till May 12, but I decided I could go with out the car till then
-I didn't get the part on the 12th on the 13th I tried to trace the part but no update had been made since the 11th with Purolator some thing about delivery disruption. I phoned the local Purolator office and Parts Avatar said The delay was because it was oversize and then a Covid outbreak, and it was stuck in Quebec for maybe 4 to 12 business days. I tried to phone Parts Avatar but no success, finally I tried the little chat thing and asked for a number to Phone. They said due to Covid they weren't using phones, and the chat was the only way to communicate, I hated the chat thing. Because of the lag and the cryptic answers. Kept having to ask what the answers meant. Was told they were looking into it
-Then I went out and bought the part locally and installed it on the 14th just after that the doorbell rang and the part from Parts Avatar was on the doorstep and the Purolator truck was pulling away, checked out the part and found it to be badly damaged and not usable, looked like it had been caught in the mast of a forklift.
- had to go on the chat thing again they wanted pictures, Got Niece with magic phone to take pictures and sent them, and received a return ticket number. Took to Parts Avatar Depot in Edmonton and dropped off.
-Master card credited within the week. This was the one thing that didn't cause a problem.
-I would not have bought the part if I had known it was coming out of Quebec and not being able to talk on the phone was very time consuming I will probably buy locally from now on.

Headaches
Parts Avatar do not have a phone number on their site. I had to google their company to find a phone number. I asked the CHAT person NICK for a phone number - he would not furnish one and said they are having technical difficulties and it is not working. Seriously? I called the google number and got through only to leave a message.

Once an order is placed you cannot cancel it. I cancelled it by email in less than 24 hours from placing the order.

They could not or would not confirm the items were in stock. They could not give me a day they would ship and blamed COVID for everything. Very sad to see this type of poor customer service. Vulture bottom feeder mentality group.

I am Newbie to Parts Avatar. So far its been really GREAT!
I have used another vendor that everyone knows for many, many orders. I have about 70 - 80 collector magnets (you know who I mean).

The price of shipping is getting really bad from the other vendor! While not totally their fault, its getting to the point its not worth ordering.

While reading about Parts Avatar, I did read what Parts Avatar said about purchasing local, and I wanted to support that. I decided to give it a try, but my first order was a bit bulky. I never expected much but Parts Avatar came through just fine.

I have now a couple of orders and NO issues at all. I think I have found my go-to supplier for automotive parts! Give Parts Avatar a try, they are very competitive, and fast for delivery.

Terrible, stay away!
I ordered a truck bed rack online from Parts Avatar. There was a picture of the rack and a full description of the rack. No possible way from the picture, title and product description that it was anything but a truck bed rack. I purchased it and it was shipped and received (5 days later than stated). Parts Avatar sent me an accessory bar instead of the truck bed rack. After multiple emails back and forth they stood firm that they sent what I ordered based on a product number, despite my order clearly indicating a universal fitting truck bed rack. They said I could return the item for a refund but I would have to pay the freight which was as much as the item itself. What a joke.

Rotors and pads
I had to send the rear rotors back even though after putting in the particulars for my vehicle. The page came up showing all the rotors that fit my car. The rotors that I selected ended up being to small on the outside diameter. I tried installing one not knowing the difference in the O. D. The support bolt holes for the caliper and pads would not line up on the back the so some of the finish on the rotor got a few scuff marks on it. I don't think I will be ordering any thing in the future from Parts Avatar because it cost me over 46 dollars to return the two rotors. I had to run over to my local Canadian tire to purchase two rear rotors. The reason for buying from Parts Avatar is I thought you might have superior product at a reasonable price.

Misleading information in the Returns Policy
I order a part for a 2005 VW Passat 2.0L TDI front wheel drive. Upon receiving the part I noticed that it did not fit my vehicle. I contacted the support team at Parts Avatar and provided photographic evidence that the part did not fit. I was told that the part number was confirmed with the manufacturer to be the correct part for my vehicle and for this reason I would have to pay for the return shipping which is approximately 75% of the cost of the part. This is despite the fact that the policy clearly states that "fitment" is one of the reasons that a prepaid return label would be issued. The photo's sent clearly showed that the part did not fit regardless of the confirmation of the part number. As a result I have had to purchase a new part elsewhere and accept the loss on the part order from Parts Avatar.

Repeated bad customer service and $117 return shipping cost for their mistakes. Furious!
RED FLAG COMPANY.! Second review about this company. After emailing and speaking with many agents my issues where not resolved. 1 item was extremely late forcing me to look else where for the part and the 2nd I was miss sold a product. I requested a return shipping label as the parts weighed a lot. After repeatedly stating the issues I had and how it was Parts Avatars fault in both circumstances. Parts Avatar continued to refuse fault into which I took the matter further and reported them to Canadian Board of Trade. They have breached a lot of consumer rights. I also found out an agent had created a second account for me with out my permission as a transaction was not being processed.
I had no use for the late and miss sold parts so had to pay $117 to return them. What a waste of time, money and effort. Agents are all scripted there is no phone number to call. I asked for compensation for shipping but all they offered was 10% off next order that's their "policy".

I had a horrible experience of ordering a wiper for my car in this heavy snowy weather
This is a very unprofessional company of just putting live chat to impress but basically Parts Avatar dont solve anything if you request them to help.
They will all promise you something but actually they dont do anything.
After 24 hours of ordering a small wiper they told me to wait for 3 more hours
Finally when I told them to cancel the order the guy told me that I cannot cancel the order because its been processed.
I finally threatened them to talk to the Manager & put a complaint against their company & my order was processed in 10 mins.

I would never suggest anyone to order anything from this company.

This was a horrible experience for me

Worst Customer Service ever
I ordered a set of brake pads from them. Their ad showed a picture showing 4 pads and 6 hardware shims, when Parts Avatar arrived I stripped the old parts off in my driveway and started the install, the plastic wrap inside the box had been slit open and there were no shims. Not being able to wait for a new shipment I bought shims from a local store for as much $ as I paid for the pads. I contacted their live chat and was told "shims not included" My concern was elevated to next level. I asked for nothing other than they correct their ad. They said their disclaimer says actual parts may vary SLIGHTLY in SHAPE and SIZE. They even sent me a screenshot of their ad with a picture that showed the 6 shims. They wouldn't explain how the parts pictured missing were a slight variation in shape or size?. They even said that I should have looked at all the different ads and should have noticed that other companies say hardware included, then I could have deduced that just because they show it in the ad, doesn't mean that it is included This concern went through 3 levels of their Customer Care with about 10 E Mails, and they still refused to answer the questions I asked them. I will never buy from them again

THIEVES
Do not deal with this company. Read reviews before buying. Ordered struts and shocks for my car first time online never again to save couple hundred dollars and end up costing my time and money as Parts Avatar use excuse of covid for not answering phones. Got them put on at NAPA and they warned me don't buy from partsavatar. My car bounces around like a trampoline not even genuine Monroe parts have proof they are scammers send used defect parts and prey on first time customers. They asked me to reorder and pay for it and send them old parts and they will refund. NOT! Seen reviews they don't send refund for months and they think they should be trusted. Have taken the loss but it's time to take them to court as they continue scamming people and shut them down. Do not buy from this company!

Very very bad company to buy parts, try to return and was charged money for no orders just randomly
Very uninformative and Support Chat lead to no conclusion besides being told to go contact the bank even though I have and was told by the bank to contact the company who charged me. Very disappointed and this is the 2nd time I've filed a complaint with Partsavatar. I will file a lawsuit over only $25 if my money is not returned to me even though it is only $25, I'm a lawyer it it not much time consuming for me to do all this.

Also this company said the description pictures of they're parts is ''FOR REFERENCE ONLY'' which means Partsavatar uses a general picture of a popular part for a certain car system like the exhaust and uses the same picture for all the exhaust gasket and pipes, hoses, covers and other parts so when I received my part it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WAS IN THE PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION. So Parts Avatar refused to give me a full refund and made me pay for shipping again and reship it back to this useless warehouse. Unbelievable, Should've went to Rockauto parts as usual- lesson learned

Abysmal customer support
Purchased rear calipers, Parts Avatar arrived fast, but returning is being a nightmare. On their site, it's specified 10 business days. I reached out after they had passed and was told that due to covid it would be 20 days. Yesterday 20 days passed as well. In chat, they kicked me to return department where I assume bots are answering. They requested me to wait and co-operate with them without any clear dates! After the question how long it's gonna take, their response was uselessly the same.

I should have done proper research before giving them my money. If you read this review, please avoid this shop like the plague. You'll be waiting for ages if something happens, customer service is impolite and absolutely useless.

Worst online experience ever
I ordered parts from here 1 and 1 time only. I thought I would give it a try as a new customer. I regret every step of the way after that. 1st, I waited forever for the parts to arrive regardless of the tracking information provided. I asked for the help of customer service at this point and Parts Avatar took no responsibility in helping. 2nd, when the parts arrived there was damage to the packaging but tho no noticeable damage was pressent to the item, I said nothing. 3rd, though my search for the parts reveiled that the parts selected fit my vehicle they in fact were not for my vehicle. I contact customer service again and the finger pointing started. I was told I did not eneter the correct information for my vehicle. When i clearly proved I had I was then told I did not properly read the description of the first 12 items in the list to find that it was in fact the 13th item in the list the I needed even tho all prior 12 stated they fit my vehicle. Even after proving this point customer service continued to stand the ground of it was my fault and refused to pay for the return shiping on the parts that was their mistake in the first place. The return of these parts will cost 65% of the total cost so I will only end up paying more to return for a 35% refund of something I clearly showed was the fault of the site.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SITE. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS THE CUSTOMER AT ALL. THEY DO NOT CARE EVEN WHEN THEY ARE IN THE WRONG.

BUYER BEWARE!

2005 Honda CRV
The original factory RH front ball joint needed replacement after negotiating a curb and coming up on the losing end. After searching high & low I came upon your website where you had carefully rated all of the alternative non OEM parts by name. I choose Moog due the positive feedback from others who had similar needs and experiences and was complimented by my local Honda dealership (Meadowvale Honda in Mississauga Ontario) on my choice and it was a highly recommended choice based on previous feedback from their other customers. Glad I chose Moog and used Avatar Parts. Communication was superb throughout the process and I was not disappointed with the result...

Avoid at all cost
Do not shop here. Confirmation of orders is supposed to take 4 to 24 hours. It took them over 2 days to confirm my order and I was not allowed to cancel my order after the 24 hour period had passed. At that point, PartsAvatar was still not able to confirm my order. The only resolution that PartsAvatar could offer was for me to return the order that was not even confirmed yet, pay return shipping and face a restocking fee for an order that was not even confirmed yet. This is clearly unacceptable and a gangster-like business practice. Customer service also lied to me; Parts Avatar said that my order had shipped and gave me a tracking number. The tracking number told me that the order hadn't even been picked by Canada Post as the package would have been scanned immediately. All they did was print a shipping label and then lied to me when they told me that the order was shipped. You will receive much better service at Rock Auto and you will get your parts faster and usually cheaper. My experience with PartsAvatar was so bad that I will never do business with them again. DO NOT SHOP AT PartsAvatar!

Customer service needs improvement.
Customer service was initially good. Spark plugs i ordered were not in stock and would be shipped as soon as Parts Avatar could. The second representative informed me that I had not responded to an email I never received regarding the cancellation of my order. I assumed they were referring to my initial interaction. When informed that I responded, not realizing that they were speaking of the email I never received, all I got back was a cut and paste of the email they just sent. FYI you could refrain from using the word "hence" in the future. Kinda makes you seem snotty.

The rest of my order arrived with no issues and earlier than expected.

worst experiance ever
When you first buy from them Parts Avatar deliver the next day .But that did not last long until they sold me parts and shipped them without any emails or conformations .When I did finally find a tracking number and when asking postal sevices they told me it was not a recognized number and they had no idea where my package was ? The took moneys form my card with out a email of conformation to shipping or any interruptions .As it stands now the parcel is late and they will not return our calls or emails or answer their phones ???????? BUt they state much goodness in their company when reading their written words on site ? Iam never again going to deal with any companies on line sorry have had it ???/ beware of this one /

Worst company ever, and I'm retired already.
Ordered parts on June 5th and received half order on June 15th. I ordered other parts from Rockauto and received everything on June 9th from New York to BC in four days over a weekend. It is now June 17th and the critical parts haven't been shipped yet. Phones don't work and emails get automated responses. Can't cancel order because Parts Avatar lie and say the order was shipped. When 'live chatting' you get the impression that the "Peter" that you're chatting with is in a shack in India and really knows nothing but what they're told to say. When all else fails blame everything on the Corona virus. They even blamed the phone's technical difficulties on the virus. I'm retired and desperately need my car. They don't give a $#*! about anyone. Worst company I've ever dealt with. The CEO belongs in prison. I hope they go bankrupt, but I'm sure they are crooked enough to take the government Corona virus handout.

Terrible after sales service - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Parts Avatar has by far the worst after-sales service I have ever had the misfortune to experience...

I ordered over $800 worth of parts, and I had one missing part (brake pad cables) worth around $10. I contacted them 7-8 times by email, 5-6 times on live chat, and 2-3 by telephone trying to resolve, but Parts Avatar just advised it had been passed to their "High Priority Team" and I should wait for a response.

Despite chasing weekly, wait is all I could do. After ONE MONTH (!) I finally got a reply saying they are unable to assist (with a $10 missing part on a $800 order!) at all, and because the 30 days return window had now closed I could not return the one item that had a part missing ($25 part from an $800 order)...

I advised that the only reason the returns window had closed as I had been waiting for them to reply for over a month, despite chasing them weekly. They just advised they could not help.

I had placed three orders with them over the past year totalling around $1,300. And they would not replace a missing part (their fault, not mine!) worth $10?

So, like mant other people leaving their reviews here, Parts Avatar have lost another customer. I'd likely spend at least $1,000 a year on parts, and they've lost me for the sake of saving themselves $10. I just don't understand their logic.

And seeing the reviews here, it seems I'm not alone.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! There are far superior suppliers out there who might actually value you as a customer. Use any other company, even if it's a touch more expensive - it'll be worth it!

Delayed shipping then delayed refund
Parts shipped weeks apart, but ordered at the same time on the same invoice. Ordered on April 29, first parts arrived May 5, last part arrived May 19 (14 days after the other parts arrived) I had time to return window regulator from the same order. No clear answers as to why but Parts Avatar did blame Canada Post. I am sure they where out of the part waiting for it to send out but instead they blamed Canada Post, problem was Parts Avatar not being honest). Contact them after 2 weeks, "It will be shipped not sure when", would not let me cancel the unshipped part, so I had to wait another 2 week for it to arrive.
Sent a part back as it was not compatible with my window regulator motor, (but should have been) 15 days after they received it still not refund. (I tracked with Canada Post which I had to pay for.
Mailed on May 8 It arrived on May 19 at their return center, it's now June 4 no refund yet)
DO NOT ORDER FROM PARTSAVATAR, the customer service is appalling.
