Missed the boat completely
I asked for help related to making my screen porch usable year-round and used the word "winterize." Got back information about irrigation systems for yards so, Porch do not freeze.
I know how to google "winterize" and had already done research about this. Whoever got my request evidently did not read it carefully or know anything at all about how to search for appropriate businesses.

Porch Had 3 Contractors Contact Me & Provide Quotes
Utilized Porch after going to Lowe's and getting their recommendation for finding local contractors. Went to Porch.com and input the details of my project, and was contacted by 3 contractors almost instantly. After having all 3 different companies come out to quote, we chose one with the best quality at the best price. Thank you for your help!

Contractor did not know what he was doing.
The contractor missed the 9:00 appointment. He called and rescheduled for 11:30. He arrived after 12:00. He then left the job because he did not have a stud finder and went to get one. He was gone for over an hour. When he returned he mounted the TV successfully, but spent hours trying to run the cord through the wall, which he eventually gave up on. Then he charged my elderly mother $203 when Porch had quoted $118. As you might expect, I am furious.

Completely unorganized and rude representatives
Inadvertently sent to this company twice. Both times Porch had the wrong project written down. Received multiple calls for services I didn't ask for. Called me at 7am 4x in a row. 2 reps hung up on me as soon as I stated I wasn't interested. Call center tried to get me to an agreement to receive additional solicitations for other "related" services. Received multiple calls after saying no to this. Stay as far away from this service as possible.

Scam. Don't waste your time or money
I bought properly 10 leads from these guys not one of them has panned out and every single time I purchased one I have to spend 45 minutes on the phone with them trying to get a refund. And half of them if you actually get a hold of somebody which is rare. There's not even any job to be had. I think they're just playing the numbers and hope Porch don't have to refund everybody when they send out fake leads they're probably killing it. Avoid like the plague

Thorough Inspection - Knowledgeable and Courteous Inspector
Porch.com was a great resource in locating a service provider as I am new to the area so did not know who to call. Porch contacted a provider (Dan) and had the provide reach out to me directly. Dan was great to work with. He arrived on time, performed a complete and thorough inspection and delivered the reports we needed withing 24 hours of the inspection. I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for home inspection services in the area.

Warm personalized visit from Jose
My partner and I have wanted to replace the lighting in our condo for nearly 10 years. It was always something important for us to get done from our home improvement list. After being contacted by Porch and meeting Jose the handy man who came over and did an amazing job with the instillation we couldn't have been any happier. Jose was great to talk to and he made us feel confident in our purchase. Thank you and we'll be seeing you again for future projects.

I was hired through porch
I signed up because it had free credit to join. The first lead I bought did not respond but I was refunded my free credits back. The second lead I got a contract on. The lead was 10.50 and the job was 2800. However I have been harassed nearly everyday with phone calls and emails to solicit me buying their premium service.

Job completed with a couple of snags
I scheduled a tv mounting service for last Sunday at 10:00, the first issue is the tech called to see if Porch could come at 1:30. I said that I had another commitment and could not wait. The single technician showed two hours later around 12:00. I was required to order two technicians and was to pay an additional $79 for the second person because the TV is a 65". The single technician was able to manage the job successfully by himself and he was very professional. When the bill was presented I was charged for two techs even though only one showed up two hours late. The invoice was corrected only after I complained and everything is paid and finalized.

Avoid Porch
I placed an appointment through Porch for blind installation. I originally had it for Monday 12/16, but changed it to the Saturday before (12/14). It is 5:15 on Friday 12/13 and Porch have called me to tell me that they couldn't find a provider to install the blinds for tomorrow at 9AM. What was the point of getting verbal and written confirmation of the appointment if they never had anyone? Completely unacceptable. I should have just gone with talking to a provider directly. Then I would know it would be done. Avoid Porch at all costs.

Great experience
This was my first experience with this website. I found them very responsive. The pro that was selected was amazing. Conner Rawlins from Foundation Professionals of Florida contacted me and was very happy to assist me. Our appointment was very pleasant and a very informative education on what actions could/should be needed for my project.

Porch claims we'll make it right not even
Porch is a pay as you go or subscription lead service with a monthly fee associated. As business is slow we (painting contractors Los Angeles area for 40 years) tried it. The leads are stale, cold canvassed and almost always non-viable.

We had to pay for a vetting background check (next scam by all these cos.) and were pressured into 250.00 per month budget until I researched myself and saw the pay as you go option, agent never revealed this imagine that.

Long story short Porch DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT WHEN A CUSTOMER DOES NOT RESPOND AFTER REQUISITE NUMBER OF CALLS AND TEXTS WITHIN A 3 day timeframe YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CREDITED BACK. WELL THE BLOODSUCKERS HAVE A RULE IF YOUR VOICEMAIL IS 60 seconds or more THEY WILL ASSUME YOU SPOKE WITH THE DEAD LEAD AND NO CREDIT. Ridiculous contractors leave lengthy voicemails or even moderately lengthy to try to get a callback do you need a STOPWATCH TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS.

Bottom line they cold canvass people and leads are iffy at best 250.00 and 130.00 later only 2 estimates one did not go the other told me she used her cleaning lady's husband and just wanted to compare prices.

Don't use Porch the results for your company will not justify the expense. THEY DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT THEY DEVISE NO WAYS TO MAKE IT WRONG to only enrich them.

Additionally the leads can cost 48 plus and 54 plus for unspecified 1-2 or 3-5 rooms to paint ABSOLUTELY A RIPOFF. They don't know how to realistically price leads and know nothing about the trades period.

Scammers
Was recommended to Porch by homeadvisor to install TV on wall mount. Somewhere between removing the tv from unopened box and hanging on the wall, the TV screen ended ended up busted. To add fuel to the fire Porch didn't have proper tools for leveling and to find studs in wall. Also there were a numerous amount of holes where they drilled into drywall to get placement. When calling Porch to rectify situation all that was offered was a discount to come back at an hourly rate. The installers they sent were not qualified to do the job. I truly feel I have been scammed but you REAP what you SOW!

The handyman that worked on my dishwasher yesterday, Rodger, did a 5 star job. Very professional, remained on site until job was complete, made sure appliance was functioning and working in proper order and ensured we were very satisfied before he left. He was also able to arrive a day earlier which was very pleasant. Very happy with the service at Porch.com

Forced to Pay Triple to Get the Job Done
Porch sent over some folks to install a new thermostat, Porch ended up blowing a fuse, not knowing what they did, and then leaving after 4 hours of "troubleshooting" and no knowing what to do.

After complaining to porch, they sent another guy out that thankfully knew what they were doing and fixed everything (the only reason I give 2 stars). Afterwards I still had to pay this person which costs double what the first person charged. I sent an email to them asking for a refund of some kind and they ignored my request.

TV mounting
The handyman did a good jjob and the project was a success so my final review is more positive. However, I had some frustration with the initial phone service and dealing with the PORCH call center. There were some errant referals for the wrong service. Additionally I kept getting text messages stating that no handyman was available and kept pushing the delivery date out but suddenly one was found and came with-in the hour. So, at the end of the day, I'm not sure what to think. I would use PORCH again but I would be cautious and not confidant.

Fast Service
I had a small project in my bathroom, replacing the light/exhaust fan. My skills are limited in that area. Was told about Porch.com and thought I would give it a try. I was contacted by them for arranging a time for the install. The installer showed up when Porch were scheduled for, and got right into working. They worked for a little more than an hour. When they were done, they cleaned up. They did a very good job. My wife and I were pleased. It was an awesome first time using Porch.com.

Non responsive
I need my storage shed in my backyard repaired. I contacted Porch.com and had two contractors, Daniel and Josh, contact me both using the same number. Daniel quoted me without even seeing pictures of my storage. After I objected to this and sent him pictures he said he couldn't see what the problem was. The pictures were very clear of the damage to be the storage but he said he needed to come to my house to give me an estimate and he wanted me to provide my debit card number and pay $59 before he came out. I didn't know him from the man in the mirror and cancelled the appointment. Contractor Josh texted me and said he would like to talk to me more about the project. When I called the number the person that answered the phone for Porch.com said he did not know Josh so that made me a little leery. I can understand Porch.com having one number and but when a contractor contacts you Porch should leave their company number not the general number for Porch.com. Needless to say I haven't heard from Josh again. From no one at Porch.com I guess because I didn't want to give them my card number.

Wow, it's amazing the lack of care for the customer
SAVE YOURSELF. It's actually amazing how little Porch seemed to care about me as a customer. The person setting up the appt did not listen to me and quoted my price much higher than he originally stated. Once I saw the quote from my confirmation email I tried to contact but couldn't get in touch with anyone. On the day of my appt someone called beforehand and I explained the situation to ensure it would not be the quoted price of $239 for what I expected to be ~$120-170. He said he'd reach out to Porch to let them know I had tried to contact them. The Contractor himself couldn't get in touch with them either. So, he said he could still come by at noon for the appt and would let me know what the quote should be before he begins the project. The handyman showed up an hour late (at 1pm) and was there for 10 minutes before he had to get to another appt. He measured the space quickly and let me a know the new quote of $150, and said he'd contact me soon to set up a project time. "Sounds great!" I thoughtHowever, when the handyman left Porch suddenly was allllll about getting in contact with me because I, unknowingly, was charged $59 for the 10 minutes the handyman was there! I tried contacting Porch after to let them know I was never informed about this amount and to discuss a different amount since he was just here for 10 minutes vs. a full hour which is what I was charged for. Never got in touch despite the multiple calls, voicemails and email. It was wildly frustrating and a waste of time, energy, and money. It was a disorganized process and I wish I saved myself the hassle and just found a handyman nearby.
