Would almost be perfect if it weren't for the fact that I have to buy my own information. I understand the concept "If you do something well, never do it for free", but if the point is to help me obtain a job by helping my resume look professional, then why would I need to use it as a subscription? As far as the program, it was easy to use. Very streamlined. I just don't understand the point of the required subscription.

I really enjoyed using this site
I really enjoyed using this site. I've never seen my resume so coherent, and clean! Even down to the job responsibilities that were auto-generated, albeit I had to edit some specifically, it was a great job. I would like the option, however, to move the headings according to how I see fit. As an example, education is all the way at the bottom of the resume, however as a college student, still in college, I've been advised to have education at the top so I would like to move education and it's contents to the top of the resume.

I thought the program itself was great...
I thought the program itself was great... it was very easy to make my resume, and it looks very professional. HOWEVER, it IS advertised as a FREE program, and after spending over an hour on my resume, I discovered I would need to pay for my work. I only wish ResumeGenius had disclosed that information up front... I honestly wouldn't have paid for the program, EXCEPT, I had already put in the work... I feel it's very misleading and almost false advertisement.

Great looking templates
Great looking templates. Clear and concise ways of entering info. A cheap trial is helpful to figure out if I want to keep the service. However, we REALLY need the ability to customize certain things. For example, I can't change the title of "career objective", in order to use that section as a professional summary. Being able to move things around in the skills section would be excellent. And some templates break up things on separate lines in messy ways.

I spent 2 hours perfecting my resume thinking this was a free service. I finally finished, and was prompted for a credit card number. If I had known if wasn't free, I would have written my own on Microsoft Word. It is not properly cautioned that this is not a free service, and that after two hours of work, all your work will go down the drain. I wish this had been announced at the beginning of the process. Feels like a sneak attack.

False advertising
False advertising. You say this is a free resume template, then lure potential customers into spending 45 minutes creating a resume, only to find at the end that you DO indeed have to pay $1.99 to print, send, or save your resume. And not only that, you have to SUBSCRIBE, and then spend what I imagine will probably be another 30+ minutes on the phone to cancel the subscription to avoid having to pay $40/month for your resume!

I absolutely loved the service, and it was very easy to use. Overall, it was fast, too, and I was done in about 30 minutes, which isn't bad for listing work as far back as 1985. The only thing I have to say that I did not like was reading on the website that I would be granted free access to download my resume, and then being redirected to a payment page when I was ready to download. That is false advertising or some such thing. Not cool, but $2.95 is a great deal for the document I received and I would still highly recommend this site. Just know that you are going to have to have a card ready, and put a cancel notice reminder into your schedule so it doesn't rebill. Thanks!

Wish there was more of a warning that I would have to pay. It makes sense, every one has to make money but it was advertised as free so I spent a lot of time making my resume only to have to pay at the end. Didn't want to give up all the progress I had made so I paid for it. Also, the prices seem high for what your website offers. Why would someone pay so much for resume/cover letters? How many resumes does one person make a year?

I would like to say that this service is advertised...
I would like to say that this service is advertised as "free" and like always it turns out you have to pay. It is trickery and false advertisement. I only paid the amount because I am in a hurry and needed the resume now.
You will not receive my money after today. I am very disappointed. And of course it is not until you finish building your resume and you try to download it that it prompts you to pay.
VERY disappointed!

Job experience section does not allow for actual bullet...
Job experience section does not allow for actual bullet points for seperate work responsibilities. When an attempt to manually insert bullet points was made, the published resume ended up having the responsibilities jumbles into a poorly punctuated paragraph. Several attempts were made to remedy this issue to no success. This looks very sloppy to potential hiring candidates, and i will have to convert file back to a word document in order to correct it.

Good process, and it did a lot of the tricky wording for me. However, I did NOT appreciate being told it was free to create, but then wasting a ton of time doing so, just to be given pay options. The only reason I accepted was because of the time wasted. Will not be renewing it, because ResumeGenius ask for an insane amount for a simple resume builder on a per month basis. This is not a good business practice, and it should be clearly stated what the items will cost upon completion.

SCAM - DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE
ResumeGenius will charge you the monthly fee no matter what. I canceled my free trial within the 14 days, but for their system it was posted one day after, on top of that to make it worst... they start your FREE trial one day before... in other words, you have 12 days to cancel instead of 14.
Contacted customer service, useless, chat... useless.
Please stay away from this company and save you a headache and $24.95 wasted.

I used Resume Genius when I retired from my banking...
I used Resume Genius when I retired from my banking job after 22 years, the step by step was easy in Sept. 2021 and is still easy in Jan. 2022. FYI every job I applied for I received and interview and a offer. Offers from two difference county Sheriff offices, one from the hospital and; and offer for an admin. Position in a near by county. I accepted the job at the hospital because it is part time. Thank you Resume Genius!

The resume creation process was awesome, but it was not mentioned AT ALL that I would have to pay to download this document. This was very annoying, as I had spent about an hour carefully inputting my responses before I was made aware of this (upon completing my resume). If you believe in your service, you should be upfront about the payment rather than being sneaky and hiding it until people are done creating their resumes that ResumeGenius think will be free to download.

One of the ONLY actually easy and accessible resume...
One of the ONLY actually easy and accessible resume builders I've used. I've gotten so frustrated with others the last week that I actually didn't mind spending money on this one although there's tons of free ones out there. I love how you can search already typed up bullet points under experience. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to switch the order in the experience section. I'm assuming it automatically sorts it by start date? But I'm unsure and confused with that. Overall great app would use again.

Ok, I love the layout and how easy it is to input my information, however I wish there was a save function connected to my login. I had typed out my entire resume, it was beautiful! Theeen I accidentally hit "back" on my browser and lost everything. Well, technically not everything, it saved my personal info, but I lost ALL of the education and work experience that I had just spent an hour typing in! I've redone it, and it's good, but I can tell that I didn't nail it quite as well as I did the first time. Oh well.

Nursing skills are specialty areas not actual skills
Nursing skills are specialty areas not actual skills. Auto-correct doesn't seem to work on every area. Building my resume took much longer than 20 minutes. Very easy to use and edit. Love that I don't have to format. Not sure if there is an option to change the color of certain templates but that would be nice if that feature were available. Pleased so far but the most frustrating part was trying to pick skills for work history and for career objective!

Cancelling Subscription
I cancelled subscription 2 days ago got email confirmation. Today charged monthly $24.95. Emailed needed refund and provided screenshot of cancelation confirmation.
Response, as a courtesy we are refunding $12.95 (half) because we can only do full refund if you tell them the same day ResumeGenius charge your card. Yah, was charged today, emailing requesting refund today. Cancelled 2 days ago. Full refund should just be a given without dealing with this lame BS.

We I went under my account settings I can see that...
We I went under my account settings I can see that I have the free tire, but there is no option to purchase the pro version. I could not find a way to do this anywhere on the site. It seems I can only purchase the pro version once I attempt to perform an action that requires a pro subscription, which honestly feels very scammy. Serious that is crap, just provide an option under my account. I also could not submit this survey without agreeing to a follow-up.

Your auto-generated suggestions are not written in...
Your auto-generated suggestions are not written in the past tense. So it took longer than expected to complete certain sections of my resume. Plus, I think you need to update your career objective helping tool's helping function. The completed career objective paragraph seemed wordy, and the language was outdated. Other than those two issues, it took most of the items I wanted to include in my resume and gave me a well-formatted clean resume with all of the information I wanted to present.

Nice service, not quite as it seems
Advertised as free, but to actually download the resume you create, you have to sign up. Ok, but any details like the color options are NOT actually available through this service. So, for example, if you choose a format with blue highlights, your download will be black and white. When you ask, ResumeGenius tell you to download it into Word and edit it. Formats are nice, different, and the process is very easy to use, however.

Well, I like the program and the availability of various resume types to choose from and I like the resume that I have created. However, There was no indication of your payment process or how much anything costs until you finally like your resume and want to get it. I used your service several years ago and it gave me an option, but the amount was about half of what you charge now. I really need my updated resume for interviewing. I just would like to see more notification of the amount you must commit to before I have spent all the time working on my resume. I did all the work, but thank you for your services. I do like my resume.

You guys said it was free to create a resume
You guys said it was free to create a resume. I was very skeptical but still decided to go on just to give you guys the benefit of the doubt. Than after I spent so much time editing the resume, it doesn't even give me the option of downloading without paying. I don't mind paying a dollar or 2 but the fact that you guys didn't state it clearly at the beginning is very misleading and annoying so please change that.

The point of getting a resume is to land a job, not...
The point of getting a resume is to land a job, not continue job hunting forever. There's no point to having a subscription to a resume builder if your goal is to not need to continue submitting resumes. It would make far more sense to just offer a one time purchase of $5 or less when building a resume. The only logical reason to have a subscription is that you hope people will not notice that you keep charging them every month for something they're no longer using.

SCAM! Misleading Company!
I can already tell my review will either not be posted or removed. This company does not tell you it costs money to receive your resume until after you type all the relevant information. Their customer support team was not helpful at all. ResumeGenius tell you it's a free subscription (of 2 dollars) but it will auto renew for $30 a month, which is more than media subscription sites. Doesn't tell you until you are done what they charge, terrible practice.

Stop tricking people into participating in your trial,...
Stop tricking people into participating in your trial, YES, I can choose to walk away, nobody put a gun to my head, but don't make people think they're getting something for free and then making them put in their card information. That's a horrible bait-n-switch, you should be ashamed of yourselves for being so proud of a system that takes advantage of people and wastes their time. Not everyone has a card to offer either and that's something you should respect. Especially in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Shameful.

I started building my resume because I thought everything...
I started building my resume because I thought everything would be free. It says "no registration or CC" Clever advertising, but to be frank, Im quite pissed off. I ended up going through with the trial purchase because I spent so much time on the resume and it would be a loss if I didn't buy. I think you need to state more clearly that certain resume templates are not free. Probably won't recommend this website.

Love this site!
Love this site! Highly recommend when creating your resume! I have used this in the past and love it. Give suggestions, various templates, and at the end uses your entries and perfectly adjusts the info to each template! You can then scroll through and compare each one and pick which you think looks the best! I love this because while one template may only give you half a page resume, another will be the perfect one page resume you are looking for even if you may not have too much to include as far as work experience, which is common for students such as myself.

Costumer dissatisfaction
Awful company, my girlfriend pay for the 14 days trial, did not even use the resume because it was not good, on top of that she canceled it online, and ResumeGenius never sent her an email of confirmation.
They charged her for 4 months in a row, and when she tried to call them to file a complaint, all they did was cancel the account, and did not give them a single cent back. By the way, the managers are rude and $#*!ty.

Nice work-easy enough and I was getting agitated-!
Nice work-easy enough and I was getting agitated-! So kool- only can't you offer the 14- day trial.- and then auto cancel-at end? Sneaky bs-to claim this free- then want an idiotto give up their card in hopes ResumeGenius will forget to cancel- no one I doubt would want this ongoing for $24 monthly and ve be one an alumi customer- lest they knew each month their getting fired- lol- and joking even them- I doubt a commits
