Clothes OK (If You Order Big Enough) - Returns a Nightmare
I placed and payed for a small order with Shein on 8/24/21 - charged to my Discover Card (Shein.com) so I know Shein was paid and has a record of this transaction. My order finally arrived, and I want to return three items as SheIn are too small. When I log into Shein.com, I get a message that I've not placed any orders with Shein; therefore I do not have an order number and I cannot generate a return label through Shein.com. I've messaged twice and got through to customer service (*******464) once. No help, no mailing address to return items, and I was told my first item is free to be returned and I'll be charged $15.00 to return the other two items. On their website, it says $7.99 return charge per package - not per item. I this as a mailing cost to return a few lightweight items - as in one package mailed with a few clothing items. When I tried to explain to the customer service person on the telephone that I did not understand their return policy to be $7.99 per item returned, to line suddenly went dead and when I try to call back my call suddenly can't be completed. The clothing is okay - I suggest ordering a couple sizes bigger than you wear - seems to run small. As far as returns go, I've provided Shein with copies of the small piece of paper included in my package and the USPS mailing label on my package. They keep asking me for more information (pictures of the clothing I want to return?!?!) and I am getting nowhere. I'd just like a return mailing address (Shein expressly says to not return items to the address on your package as your return might not be processed). I am happy to put a few lightweight pieces of clothing (still in original wrapping) in a package, print a shipping label, return the items, and move on. Or, if Shein.com wants to send me a return label and charge me $7.99 to return the items, that's fine with me also. At this point, I've got no information about my order on their website, numerous requests for unnecessary information (to process a basic return), requests to resend information I've already sent them, and a customer service number that, magically, I can no longer connect with. I won't order again.

Hit or Miss Scenario
THANKFULLY, I didn't order tons of tops as I know based on the price range, the fabric or fit would probably be poor quality or start pilling. Here's what I got:

2 Corduroy Pants: It was thin but not a bad thing as now I can wear them in the summer. The hardware was flimsy and an ugly silver but no one sees it but me.
One Tank: Didn't realize it had ribbing and didn't realize it was a tie-back one so it came all wrinkle. Material was bad.
1 Men's T-Shirt: It's a stretchy solid material as opposed to a soft 100% cotton tee.
Sunglasses: Surprisingly good quality, but the case it came with was cheap and ugly (which is fine).
Hat: Hat also good quality.

The returns are expensive and from what I know, SheIn shipped from overseas and would put the responsibility of YOU to pay for the insurance of the package. Anybody who complains about the quality of the items isn't being reasonable, in my opinion. The website sells clothing for very low prices and the fact that they provide promos and discount codes, tells you that the clothing can go for even cheaper. There was nowhere that I could've found a pair of corduroy pants for $13, maybe except a thrift shop so this website is great for people who aren't looking for pricey staple pieces.

The shopping experience is good, a lot of variety of items, love the fact that you can sort reviews by users who upload images, but it's a HIT OR MISS scenario. For some reason, their website shows two identical orders of mine but one was cancelled. One of my pants was shipped separately with only a notification email. There was no tracking and that pants was missing in the order invoice on the website. Had I not gotten an email confirmation about these pants, I don't think there was any more proof that I actually ordered them. I got my package in a very timely manner (within 7 days) so no complaints there but I don't think I'd order from this website again.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Ordered Christmas present on 12/15 with expedited delivery, which SheIn claim is 3-5 days delivery. Website states: "*Please allow at least up to 24 business hours (excluding weekends, holidays, and sale days) to process and ship your order." I contact Sheinside via online chat on 12/22 and was told "your package is waiting to be shipped out, and the address needs to be printed, normally 3-5 days later, it will be shipped out, dont worry and we also have told our shipment department to be quick". Not only was it a week later but I requested he rush my delivery and overnight it in time for Christmas.
After telling them it is a Christmas present and it should not take this long he responded with "i know you are worried but please understand us during this peak season, we have so many orders to deal with so it cause the delay, we will be quick". This is on 12/22... When I asked when it would actually ship he says 26 December... WTF?! 4 days later and AFTER the holiday?! After I just told him I need it as a Christmas present? He stopped replying to my questions after that.

12/26 came and went and still hadn't shipped. 12/29 I emailed again and he said "can you please tell me if you still need you order? Once you said to us you need it by Xmas, we were not sure about it, so we held it off waiting for your reply so do you want us to ship it right away? Please reply asap " Are you kidding?! I told him to SHIP NOW and refund shipping. Finally a reply Jan. 3 that it will ship 1-2 days. OMG. Order finally ships Jan. 6.

Did a chargeback on the $15 shipping charge and my bank promptly refunded me. Will never do business with this company again.

They gained so much momentum by paying bloggers to review products and making a big social media campaign. It also looks like their employees make a lot of fake 5* reviews on a lot of review sites and on their own website. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

For an international store, they should hire people with foreign language skills. Not just English, since they clearly have a lot of international orders and not one person makes a lick of sense in their "customer service" responses.

REFUSING TO SEND MY PACKAGE BACK?
I ordered from SheIn on 10-24-2017 14:07:57. My order was sent in two packages. One of them, was only socks. I DID recieve that package. The other one... basically:

I was told it was shipped on 10/24, according to FedEx's website.
When I checked on the status of my package, It told me there was a 'DELIVERY EXCEPTION'

FedEx said reason for delivery exception was: Date/Time

Unable to deliver - Please contact local Post Office to pick up or reschedule delivery'

I was home at this time, and was able to have it delivered to me.

THIS IS WHERE SHEIN BECOMES INVOLVED:

My first time reaching out to shein, this was the response 'Jamie' had for me. As you can see, she mentioned that it was unable to be delivered due to 'address issues'.

Upon following her instruction, I reached out to FedEx, who told me to reach out to USPS with the package's old shipping #, who then told me: 'THE SENDER HAS REQUESTED PACKAGE TO BE RETURNED'. SheIn told me they couldn't help me with that.

On USPS website, this is why they said they couldn't deliver. It was not at all address issues, and I do have a place where my packages are 'safe'. ALSO, I NEVER REQUESTED A RETURN.

So then, I made another Shein ticket. This is what 'Susan' has told me. As underlined, she asked me to MAKE ANOTHER ORDER (paying in full) IF I WANTED MY PACKAGE.

-My address was correct
-How are they "out of stock" of and "can't ship" something that is ALREADY INSIDE MY PACKAGE
-How is it not possible for them to just reship the package?

As you can see, Susan is telling me that they "cannot reship me my package" which is completely inaccurate. You can see that she is also constantly insisting on refunds.

In conclusion

I will NOT be ordering from this website ever again. I'm beyond dissatisfied with their service, and I am absolutely disgusted with their customer service.

Don't buy anything from this website.

Hello, this is my very first online review that I have ever wrote, and I think this experience deserves it. I'm going to start from the beginning. I was so excited to order from SheIn. Everything on the website/app looks wonderful and everything costs so little. I placed an order ($182 worth- after discounts) on 11/30/2015, with express shipping. Two days later, I placed another order ($99 worth-after discounts)... 7 days passed until I got a notification stating that half of my first order had been shipped. I checked the website's information on Shipping Info and it does state that preparation usually takes 3-7 business days. The same thing happened to my second order, except SheIn shipped the entire thing, not just half of it. Tracking said "Information received in Singapore" for the next 4 days. A few days have passed and finally it says that they are expected to be delivered by tomorrow night. This is the start of week 3, since I placed my orders with express shipping. I asked customer service about part 2 of my first order and they explained that some of my items aren't available as they are very popular. I completely understand that... it's the holiday season. Everything goes out of stock... I asked, "For the items that are still not shipped yet, can you send the ones that are prepared and let the ones out of stock wait behind?" SheIn response: "Dear xxxxxxx xx, Thank you for you message, We are so sorry about that. For the rest of the items, only one item dress 151118510 is prepared well, how about you wait patiently and we send them together to you. Any questions, feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Customer service SheIn.com"...(how about you wait patiently and we send them together to you?) Really? This is week 3 since I ordered and I get this response? I had the idea that Express shipping meant I would get it fast and only 1 item is in stock that they won't even send me. How much longer will I have to wait until they're finally in-stock, and then processed, and then shipped and finally delivered? Okay I'll sit here and wait patiently. I just hope my other 2 packages arrive tomorrow as expected. Will update soon. Thanks to those who actually read everything.

TERRIBLE Customer Service - SCAM! But I bet they respond to this post even though they won't respond
I have had a terrible experience and it's still not over. When I first contacted customer service about exchanging an item, SheIn responded immediately to all of my questions. They said I had to pay to send the items back for an exchange or return. It's 2015, almost all online shopping has free returns or exchanges, or at least a pre-paid return label that charges a decent flat fee. I didn't want to pay their $8.99 fee to return the item and then maybe have to pay it again if the exchanged item still didn't work out, so I said I was just going to make a return. And guess what? They stopped responding to emails. I would have to email multiple times and when they did respond they wouldn't even answer my questions. I specifically asked them to send me a return label - no response. I asked a second time, they said I had to go weigh my package. (Who has ever had to go weigh their package for a return?) I emailed back with the weight and said I needed my return label sent immediately. (You only have 30 days from delivery to return an item and my time was almost up.) NO RESPONSE. I emailed again saying I don't understand how they can ignore me know that I am returning product. DEAD SILENCE. I am sure they were waiting out their time so that they wouldn't have to accept my return and refund my money. I mailed the package myself and emailed the company one last time with my tracking number explaining that I would not buy from them again for their blatant scamming. Still zero response. Originally I received responses same day but now it's been days of them ignoring me. Who knows if they will try to scam me out of my refund too. PLEASE don't buy from this company, *maybe* you'll luck out and get a decent product but based on my experience (and so many others) you will just be throwing your money away.

Horrible quality and service
When i first came across SheIn i couldn't believe it! Great clothes at a price that was hard to beat. I saw brands like, comme des garçons, asos, and jcrew, but without the tags or brand names. At first i figured it was like clothes that had VERY small mess-ups like a tag not being sewn on the right way, or the wrong button. I spent over $100 and paid to have them delivered sooner, because this was the first time in months that i decided to spend money on myself. I was so wrong to even consider spending money here. I got my clothes over 2 weeks from when it was supposed to be delivered, but let that part slide because i was so excited. When i opened my first package, the bottom hem of the shirt was crooked at an angle, making it unwearable (the same with a shirt identical except in a different color). I ordered a dress that was described as "a cotton blend" which ended up being a stiff, polyester fabric. Before i even tried it on i noticed a grease stain on the front of the dress. I don't know if someone returned it and SheIn were too lazy to trash, or if they truly don't care about quality. I ordered a couple more shirts that ended up falling apart after the first wash, and a baseball tee. The baseball tee came with a HUGE red, blotchy stain on the front. After i tried to wash it the red stain transferred to my other clothes that were in the load, which were not from SheIn:)
After i submitted a ticket the first time, and after not replying in a day, customer service closed the ticket and wrote a review for me and gave themselves 5 stars!
I submitted a ticket a week ago to try to get my money back and they refused to give me a refund without me returning the items, but i have to pay to ship them to their warehouse, and then "maybe i will get a refund" if i was telling the truth. I've dealt with the gap, and jcrew, and many other stores, that when less than this has happened to me, they have jumped through hoops to try to resolve my issues, and did not expect to have the clothes returned even though they sent me a package to ship them back in.
I have never been this disappointed in a company, but i should've known from the moment i saw the prices, and the clothes from other stores.

Don't waste your time!
I wanted to update you guys with my dispute with sheinside for those who have read my previous review. I've been going back and forth with them regarding my item that I order. First SheIn tell me that my item was being held up in customs and they would have their "colleagues" handle it this information was due to their online dispute process. Once I posted my review here the sent me an email apologizing and they stated that the item was return from customs and they ask me if iwanted them to resend or did I want a refund. I told them to resend it only if they can send it byt express they agreed to that. Everything response is very slow because of the time change however I'm getting conflicting stories what is it. Is it returned back to them from customs or is it still sitting at customs? I wanted to post my correspondence that I had with them. My next step is to ask fo a refund and leave this place along their logistics sucks. PS they also ask me to change my review to 5 stars for them. I told them not until my issue have been resolve. Oh and by the way. The tracking number does NOTHING!
This is begining to get ridiculous. First you guys tell me that my order is being held up at cutsoms. Then I get a email from your customer service department once I put a review on site jabber and your customer service department stated that it was return and if I wanted them to resend or get a refund. I requested that the item be reshipped via express mail. Your colleague stated that this would be done. I need to clarity as to what is going on with my package. Sheinside is defiently leaving a sour taste in my mouth and I need this resolve asap.

Someone from Shein contacted me and refunded the money. Instructions on returns should be worded a bit better to prevent further confusion or add photos that show what you mean...
1. On the website it says "Free Returns IN THE US" I am in the U.S. SheIn always deduct $7.99 from the item you return. So the return is NEVER FREE. I went in to their return policy, it states:

Use our return label to postmark your return within 40 days from the purchase date, and WE'LL COVER the shipping cost.
For returns after 40 DAYS FROM the purchase date, or additional returns AFTER the first return of the same order, a $7.99 fee will be deducted per package, or you can process your return by using your local post office at your own cost.

The package comes all the way from China, it takes about a week 1/2 to get to Florida with their shipping service. I always make sure to try on the items the same day, so that if I need to return it, it wont take me more than two days from the day I receive it in order to avoid the 7.99 charge. RETURNS are NOT FREE IN THE US. Why do they keep deducting money for returns in different orders?

2. The materials are pretty bad. Most of their stuff is made of 100% polyester. Most people wont dare to wear leggings made of 100% polyester (because fabric is very thin, stretchy, see-through and looks cheap), imagine an entire dress. These are materials that are used for cheap Halloween costumes at Walmart, keep that in mind. Same thing goes for their other materials: Cotton? Always a blend, Sheer fabric? Some of them are made of organza (curtains and table overlays), Sheer voile (banquet hall chair cover)... I am sure there are other examples I can use, but you get my drift.
Now, now. There are a few items that are made of a decent material, but there are too many items that fall under point 2. Kind of 2 of every 6 items. I felt I was taking too many chance. Many people that were reviewing the item didn't seem bothered by those materials. I LOVE the styles in SheIn, but the quality blows. The quality is either - clothes that have gotten quickly discolored, damaged or comes apart at the seams. Always buy the product if a ton of people reviewed it and posted a photo, but you wont find out what the real quality is until you have worn it for a month.

Disgusting
If SheIn treat their workers as bad as their clients, they should be closed immediately. I ordered many times on Shein in the past 3 months, at last the customer service is not reachable, they didnt send me for the second time a skirt (wskirt*******688 size S that I ordered again after not receiving, I have no idea if they will send it separatly or it is simply not available but I paid for it, no answers received from the multiple mails to the service and euroservice mail), other items are different from the descriptions or damaged. It seems impossible that the quality is so bad considering that the retail price written of each items is around 20 euro(same price of good quality items is normal stores). I dont take things personally and I was very optimistic, I thought it can happen that something can be damaged, the worse was the last order, it came totally squashed the shoe box was half destroyed and THERE WAS BLOOD dried on the box IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLOTHES, I was disgusted. I will never ordered anymore. In the past I contacted the custumer service and then they stop answering, I ASKED TO STOP SENDING ADS AND TO CANCEL MY DATAS without any answer even from datas office(arent they privacy experts and datas protection masters), luckily I used paypal surely many other clients have had even worst experience overall it seems a scam website for the AWFUL LOGISTIC I received plastic bags packages instead of boxes, with big cuts, with holes, at the same time I had many ok clothes expecially winter loungewear was perfect(I thought it was normal to have some bad items shopping online, that is way I kept hoping they would care more keeping ordering) but the quality of some items is so so bad, some items were not sent, some were rusty, wrong items sent, the electical tools were not functioning, I received refunds of few euro or partial refunds AFTER WEEKS of complaining, shein treat clients with indifference and I got really upset that they work like that, I think is not worthy to shop on this aliexpress quality shops. Buttons were missing or fallen out, stiching on top are worse than the cloth for cleaning the floor. FEW ITEMS LOOK OK, returning is very difficult, because covid has made impossible go out normally. I just used Shein because I liked the interaction within the community of shoppers and it was practical for its very precise measure, it gets JUST WORSE, you spend hours trying to read descriptions double thinking about sizes, and trying to guess if it might be a safe purchase, trying to write to the customer service that write you back half in Swedish and you cant translate it with google translate. I will never buy anymore.IT IS A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY and WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.The site looks amazing, the games and contests are addictive, the pictures are very alluring, the influencers are super exciting but it is not that what you want to wear, supermarket clothes are made with more craftmanship.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!
AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL! 5 weeks to deliver then when my items arrived it was just cheap tat. Badly made, poor sizing, rubbish fabric... urgh. Please don't waste your time. I spent $26 dollars having to return every thing I ordered. If you read the reviews that say really good quality clothes, it's a lie! Good quality these clothes are not!

I just received this email from *******@dotfashion.cn at Sheinside offering me a coupon code, then asking me not to tell anyone that SheIn offered me a coupon code? (bizarre) and then they asked me to alter my negative review. Wow!

So once again, I warn you stay away from this company. The quality of the clothes is incredibly poor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I also reported the company to Paypal who helped me to recover my refund. If enough people complain to Paypal they will lose their merchants status. Sheinside said they refunded my money, but they didn't, Paypal did following my claim again Sheinside. It was after paypal sent me this message that Sheinside then sent me an email saying my money had been refunded!

BEWARE - Too many errors - all in their favor - to be unintentional
Beware - I appreciate now that there are complexities of different language, business, culture, etc.

Simply: Their promo coupon does not work as implied (maybe as defined in some small print somewhere)... the price will be adjusted off of some "original" price - which SheIn may never actually provide amid the several prices displayed. Simply, what you are charged you may not actually see defined until after you pay.

They do not have anyway to have a 2 way discussion with anyone unless it is pre sale. (WARNING FLAG). Then to question after one must submit a ticket - where only a few Catagories are even something they accept Qs on. Hope yours is one! That maybe, as evidenced by my questioning how (or when) the promised promo discount was applied... one gets the always courteous Asian styled prepared response - but it basically says: We charged you the lowest price you had coming - so your 40% off everything coupon on a $40 item (part of a multi item order) made for an approx 39 cents reduction.

Then - a notice that an item was out of stock (which we understand happens - although with a fully computer system one would hope not)... and a refund will be processed.

Followed later by a notice clearly saying refund was made.
BUT: Only after checking why not received in my account (and so then having to do the submit a ticket process - fortunately for one thing in their allowed list - which in itself says something - "refund not received") did I find that refunds aren't actually given back to the customer... they are held in the "wallet" at the company. That is not a refund in my mind (they still have the $ - it is at best a store credit) and remember - that is for an item they advertised, sold and didn't have. Bet a profit center!

My request to have the refund sent (and some other matters, incl advising I thought this was improper use of term "refund") was responded to - courteously saying (albeit also clearly preformated) how they are there to help of course - but not doing what I requested preferring I use their system to request to have it sent myself. I logged back in (and after a system problem or 2 giving error messages)... made the request their way. Do not know the response time. With no formatted responses - my other concerns were ignored.

Watch out... this experience - while hopefully just their language and unfamilulariity with business practice - makes me concerned it is a company that may well be intentionally misleading. Customers anyway it can to get and keep $.

PLEASE NOTE: AS OF NOW WE HAVE COME TO AN AGREEMENT AND A CREDIT WAS RECEIVED.

ADDITIONALLY I MUST ADD THE PRODUCT WAS RECEIVED AND IS NICER THAN EXPECTED.

Clearly - my pursuit and points were listened to and responded to. I will even say, in retrospect - while we had communication issues that they were most anxious to resolve my dis-satisafction.

I received my package today so this review will be my overall thoughts on this company.

I'll start with the good. The clothing is different but also trendy. There are many beautiful pieces that cannot be found in regular American retail stores and also includes pieces that are often featured on fashion bloggers for a much more affordable price. The general price point overall is fair, ranging from $10 to over $100. The quality is better than I expected and true to size (for me, I wear an XS). Keep in mind this company is based in Asia though so perhaps some sizes are tailored towards Asian body frames (generally a bit smaller) for those who need help deciding on sizes. I saw several comments below complaining about the sizes.

Okay, now the not so good...

First off, the false advertising of discounts. I don't know how legit that is but on the website, I was a first time buyer. I received an email with a code for 40% - tried that and it did not go through. Again, I tried the codes listed on the website and that did not go through either. It's not the best way to attract customers with fake discounts. If anything, that will cause your company to lose potential customers because SheIn feel scammed (as shown by other comments below.)

Next, the shipping and tracking process...
I placed my order on 8/12 and received it today. So in total, that is 12 days which I consider reasonable since it's shipping from overseas. However, in the future, I think the tracking system needs alot of work. For the first week or so, I had no idea where it was and had to contact customer service on here and via the chat box on the website for them to find out for me.

I understand it's shipping worldwide and there must be many orders but the tracking and delivery process needs to be improved. Especially with other competitors like Chic Wish, which I ordered two items from around the same time and each one got delivered separately with organized tracking before my package today. If you can take away the false advertisements of discounts and work on the tracking part, your company will be five stars.

The ultimate nightmare company
I'm so embarrassed that I felt once again for this website. I thought that if SheIn changed their name from sheinside to shein, maybe they've changed even their practices and management A year ago, I had two orders from sheinside- the first arrived in 5 weeks, after I got frustrated that I've ordered a skirt which they didn't deliver and exchanged with another product. The skirt that came was really ugly and bad quality, so I gave it as a present. My second order never arrived and then is when my nightmare with this company started.
After weeks of emails and quarrels with customer care, I lost my time, money and didn't receive anything. It was exactly the same story like now; they told me that my order is on the way, it never arrived of course. I constantly asked for a tracking number which they never provided- in the end, I got exhausted with them and said I don't want to hear from them again. Then for exactly another month, I was constantly writing them to find out how to close my account because they were spamming my email with their ads and I didn't want to hear from them again. It turns out, you can't eliminate your account and they will spam you until your dead.
After a year of hiatus, I did the most idiotic thing ever. I opened one of their spam emails and found myself navigating on their website. Unfortunately, I've placed a 50 USD order which AGAIN was never sent out! Now, I'm blocked in the same nightmare. Paid and didn't receive anything- they just took my money. No money, no order just discussions with a customer care responsible who doesn't even speak proper English. They AGAIN don't have a tracking number and again the same excuses and dumb replies. They offered me for my order a 5 USD COUPON! So I would have to place another order and pay it with them, which of course would never arrive.
Out of 3 orders, all 3 were frauds but this time I won't things go their way and I have contacted my bank to open a fraud report against this company. I urge you to do the same if it happens to you. It takes a longer time but it is better than letting them get away like this. They can't constantly change the name of their company and steal our money.
This is a website which uses pictures from other websites, not even their own and then they sell you cheaper products. Also, every product you find on shein, is available on aliexpress at 50-70% lower price, you just need time to browse to all their products and producers. The ugly skirt they've delivered at 20 usd, I found it at 6,50 usd on aliexpress. I felt like crying but I will not be fooled again by them.

Rip off & bad customer service. I wish I could give this company 0 stars.
I ordered about $100 worth of merchandise at the beginning of June and paid for express shipping in order to have the items before I went on vacation. A package with 2 items (out of 9 that I ordered) arrived the day of my vacation (more than a week later), but the other package with the majority of merchandise did not arrive. About 5 days into my vacation I received a notice from DHL that the package was going to be delivered that day, but that there was a signature required--a detail which I was not informed about before the order, and one which confused me, considering the other package required no signature. I told DHL via text to ignore the signature as I was not home. That evening I had our friend who was staying at my apt collect our mail and packages, as SheIn had done every evening while we were gone. The SheIn package had been confirmed as delivered, but it never arrived. We received 2 other Amazon packages that evening that were collected by our friend without issue, but no package from SheIn. Our friend searched the main floor of our building but it was nowhere to be found. This same friend continued to look for the package everyday until we returned home, but to no avail. Fast forward a month later: after contacting SheIn (which was in itself a difficult thing to figure out how to do), they told me (via email, they have no phone number) to contact DHL, which I did. SheIn, like every other seller/company should have taken care of this with DHL, not me. I had a back and forth with DHL for more than a week before they told me that the package was delivered, and there was nothing they can do about it. There was a "proof of signature" photo that showed the package leaning up against a door that was not mine. Then I contacted Shein, and they told me they had to consult with DHL (even though I had spent a week doing so) before giving me a refund, which would take 15 days! So here I am 1.5 months after placing my order (and paying for express delivery), out $100, still without my items, and no resolution. Considering my experience with this company so far, I'm doubtful there will ever be a resolution. I will never order from this company again. It has been a terrible experience all around. Total scam.

It's been close to a month (23 days and counting) I have not recieced my order or a refund. Filled out countless tickets only to be taken on the "lost in translation" circle. Buyer beware! Do not waste your time or money!

SheIn have a 24/7 chat consultants for presale; however they only have ticket responses for customer service issues during weekday business hours in China. Hopefully your schedule will match theirs...

Most recently I recieced a partial reply to my ticket ((if you have to file a ticket, expect partial replies and each response for your reply takes at least 24 hours on a business day -no weekend replies- therefore, if you respond/reply after 12:00 noon Thursday you will not have a response before Monday because China is 12 hours ahead)) and their response they asked me to contact DHL and to ask my neighbors if they took my package was the solution I was given. However in my response I had noted that I did contact DHL and I even provided them with a case number that was associated with my tracking number. I was also noted in my ticket the only person who can file a claim is the shipper (Shein.com) and the information they needed can only be given once they contact or made contact with DHL. Which I requested that they do it my ticket! Do you see how nothing gets solved?

I want to file a formal complaint with the FTC and BBB but I needed an address for this company. I attempted to ask the chat for their company address as it was not listed on their website. The customer service rep, "noe" in their chat became very hostile. He gave me the website for DHL.com instead of the mailing address for Shein.com he gave me the city and region in Chinese. Yes, Chinese! Which I then had to use my Google translator and then pasted that response in Google to find out it was only the region or city in China. Still not the address! When I then sent the Wikipedia page of the region (not the address) to the CUSTOMER SUPPORT REP (again let me reiterate this is supposed to be some form of customer service on their end) he gave me a partial address in NJ and left the chat.

So almost a month later, no refund, no merchandise, no support, no where closer to any resolution! I warn you not to place an order from this company unless you enjoy flushing your money in the toilet! This company is shady unethical!

My opinion on this site is split. On one hand I would love to just buy that jumpsuit that looks just like one from zara (it is sold out there) and almost costs nothing but on the other hand - considering all those bad reviews - I really don't want to support a company like this. Additionally, we've all heard that the production of clothing for zara, h&m, gap etc. in china is often connected to inhumanly circumstances and child labor. But every time this kind of information gets to the media in the west, these companies get a lot of critics and then at least pretend to make an effort to change these circumstances (i. E. with campaigns such as h&m conscious etc.) and SheIn pay attention to minimum wages. But now imagine enterprises who produce for sheinside.com, Chinese companies which produce no name knockoffs from the "western" companies such as zara etc. They have absolutely no rules whatsoever concerning minimum wages or child labor, they would never be criticized by the biased Chinese media and they also make sure that nobody will ever discover their bad working circumstances. So if you wonder why they can offer the clothes so much cheaper than the stores in our countries, it might be because they can produce even cheaper because the work ethics there is even worse than in the production for zara etc. Of course, these are all only vague assumptions, as I have never been in these factories and I have absolutely no idea how they really work. All I know is that a dress for 11$ in my opinion gives me a very very bad consciousness as it really smells a lot like child labor and 16 hour shifts. So one way to make a little effort against all of this - despite our common shopping addiction - is to think of this first before you buy something on sheinside. And I think through all these fashion blogs and magazines and society in general, we all get the intention that is good and necessary that we dress differently every day, we always need something new and get bored of stuff veeery quickly. I absolutely do not exclude myself from this. But trying to change that habit and that attitude would not only be environmentally friendlier but would also be good for our banking accounts :) Wearing a piece twice wouldn't hurt nobody. Really.

Detailed, honest, review
I had seen a few bloggers post about SHEIN and how cheap it was, so I decided to try it out for myself.

I ordered 9 different tops and the total came to roughly $56 (USD) which I was thrilled about. The shipping took about two weeks, but I was fine with that given the cheap price of the clothing.

One thing I kept hearing was that it is crucial to read reviews of each item before you purchase and I highly recommend that as well! I spent hours and days searching the site for tops I liked and reading all the reviews. I carefully chose each piece based upon the reviews I was given.

I was actually pretty disappointed when my items arrived and I tried them on. I understand that because of the prices the quality will not be the best, and I was expecting this. However, I found a few of the tops to be even worse than I expected. There were a lot of loose strings and I did find that a few of the tops had a weird chemical smell. Most items are made with polyester, I found it difficult to find items made of other materials.

I also found that most of the items did not even come close to the size I ordered. I ordered a small in all tops. Some fit more like an extra small, however, most fit more like a large. I really can not even recommend going up or down a size because it is going to depend on your body type and the style/material of the shirt.

I decided to return all the items and did notice that on my invoice, which is a tiny piece of paper that is easy to miss, that it said all my items were ineligible for return. I spoke to customer service online and the said not to worry about that. I was able to return my items. However, only your first return is free. If you return after that SheIn do take a fee out. I found this to be frustrating and a turn off to the company. I do not want to order items that I have no idea if they will fit if I am not guaranteed all of my money back. It was fairly easy to return, just be aware of this.

If you are thinking of purchasing from SHEIN, I urge you to use caution and really read reviews. Be aware of all the gimmicks such as paying for returns after the first one. Also know these clothes are cheap, so do not expect anything great. Also, be aware of where these things are made...

Recommendations for SHEIN: Free returns always, better size guide, use of more materials besides polyester

UPDATE 12/30. Two of the three items ordered finally arrived. Quality is fine. Sized WAYYYY too small. Large shirt would fit an average 14-15 year old. Still waiting for the third short to arrive. Returns not so easy as I can't figure out where to get the return tracking number from. Since SheIn have free returns I assume they provide the numbers. I am guessing it will take another week for someone to get back to me about this as well.

BUYER BEWARE!
We placed our order on 12/5. I checked it on 12/12 to get a tracking number and it said the order was "processing". Took customer service 3 days to get back to me and let me know:
" Your order been shipped out. But the tracking number still have not been updated for now. So we cant stop it when it is in transit
If you are our register customer, please login your account and find MY ORDERS to check your tracking information. If you can not find the information on the website, please check later because the shipping company needs time to update the information. Or you can email us about the tracking number few days later. "

This sounds like they just shipped it out yesterday! When I check the tracking now there is an added button call URGING SHIPMENT so it sounds like this is an issue for them. This whole process seems fishy to me. I needed this order by a certain date and now it looks like there is no telling when it will reach me. I will NOT be ordering from this site again."

UPDATE 12/18 - CUST SERV got back to me giving me a tracking number - but when I checked the tracking number it doesn't even show that the shipment has been sent yet - still PROCESSING! STAY AWAY FROM PURCHASING WITH THIS COMPANY! IF I DO NOT RECEIVE NOTICE THAT SHIPMENT HAS BEEN SENTWITHIN THE NEXT WEEK I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE US BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. These shipments are coming from China - BUYER BEWARE

MY PACKAGE WAS NEVER DELIVERED AND THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME
Dear fellow customers, BEWARE! Their customer service is TERRIBLE and I don't think SheIn speak English because their correspondence has made zero sense, and they haven't addressed 90% of what I am trying to say to them. There's also no phone number to call. -_-

HERE'S MY STORY (long but worth a read):

I have been a loyal Shein customer for year. Recently, I placed a huge order worth over $130, and the package was NEVER delivered: The package also required signature confirmation, so the mail man was supposed to knock on my door and I was supposed to sign for it to confirm I received it. The mail man decided to write down "MAILBOX" in the signature box instead of asking me for my signature. The package was NOT at my mailbox, and I had proof from DHL's website that the I had never signed for the package, as DHL saves the image of the signature (attached).

I brought all of this evidence to open a ticket with Shein and they have been trying to avoid to give me a refund. They told me they want me to file a claim with DHL, so I did, even though it is their job as the shipper to file the claim. I also spent hours with DHL customer service on the phone to resolve the claim. When the case was finally closed and the package was officially marked as "lost/misdelivered", I told shein this and they responded that they need 15 business days to "confirm" that my package is indeed lost... Like WTF why would I lie about this? Why do you need a whole 15 days to confirm when you can just look up my tracking number and instantly see the status marked as "lost/misdelivered"?

I told them they don't need to wait 15 days, that all they have to do is call DHL and they will tell them the status instantly, and Shein had the nerve to tell me "May you understand that your order is a big one, we need to confirm that it is really lost, then we can refund you." I AM INSULTED. DON'T PLAY ME FOR A FOOL. The size of the order does not affect how long it takes to "confirm" that it is lost. An order of one item vs an order of 20 items still shares one tracking number, one claim, one phone call. Their excuses to avoid giving me a refund are straight up lies.

To this day I still have not received my refund and they still insist that they need 15 business days to "confirm that it is lost". They don't even believe me even though I have made several orders in the past and never filed at ticket for a refund until now.

TLDR: Worst customer service from any online retailer I have EVER experienced. STAY AWAY.
