Another dodgy dating website
I've tried a number of dating websites and recently I thought I would give Zoosk (another) try. I had tried it some time back and it wasn't very good. Sadly it is no better and is possibly worse.

I registered yesterday. All looked well, easy to use interface and some pretty ladies. I found a lady local to me that seemed nice so thought I would send a message. I couldn't however do this as I would need to pay the subscription. Ok that's fair enough, you can't expect everything for free. I instead sent a wink and pressed the "added" button which I took to mean she would be added to a favourites list.

A few things happened next. First I almost immediately (a matter of minutes) got a message from her, or at least a notification that she had sent a message (I couldn't read it without a subscription though). Great I thought, this is a really great site, I never got that sort of success elsewhere. I carried on looking through those on the website and sent another wink to another girl. The same thing happened. I started to smell a rat by this point.

Later I noticed that the "added" button I had pressed had been recorded as me sending her a "chat request." That wasn't what I had intended to do so already I am sending out inaccurate messages through the misleading button "added."

I was suspicious that the first girl I had supposedly had a message from was real so I decided to try and google her using her photo. I did actually find her LinkedIn page and managed to send her an email to her work address. I wouldn't normally do this as girls tend to freak out at this sort of thing, but I felt I had a legitimate reason to email her; I wanted to know if I was about to be scammed by Zoosk. The next day (today) I got a reply from her work address and she told me (thankfully politely) that she had not sent me a message and had in fact not been on the site in over a year.

Tonight I tried using the "added" button again on another girl and as before I had a "message" from that person. However looking at the notification on one browser it said the girl had "sent me a chat" and another browser she had "sent me a message."

I am regularly getting all sorts of notifications from various people now which is way more interest that I got on POF. I have read a great number of bad reviews about Zoosk and how it is a scam site. I take them with a pinch of salt as some people expect to use a website and it to be totally free. This is stupid, you can't expect a company to create a service and let you use it for nothing! You will also find a number of disgruntled single guys who have a chip on their shoulder about online dating.

That aside, Zoosk does seem to be a dubious website from my short experience and I wouldn't trust it based on that experience and on the dozens of scathing reviews about the website.

My advice is be critical, careful and suspicious. I'm sure there are some genuine people on there (like me), but you might have more luck elsewhere.

Wtf?
After reading the reviews of the "number 1 rated dating site", I'm like f##k this! I have not signed up yet, but don't feel I should, but I'm all about bad decisions, so I probably will.

First sign of BS, Zoosk kept editing my profile and referring to some rule of no profanity, identification, etc. When all I was trying to say was that I had not signed up yet and could not respond YET.

Second bad sign, writing customer support gets, ZERO response. You actually have to call India, or wherever else they have outsourced these jobs to, to find out, they do NOT allow you to state the status of your profile or subscription status. Funny, they won't say that in writing...

Third bad sign, the guy I'm most interested in signing up for, when I Google that username, tons of listings on POF come up in OTHER COUNTRIES, sounds pretty legit so far.

So I may still give this a shot, but keep all of this great advice in mind, because from what I'm hearing from almost ALL OF YOU, is that this site basically is a scam.

I'm pretty sure the only real dudes are guys who are fat old perverts who like every other site, want naked pics the second they introduce themselves. That is modern dating now, correct? Just want to make sure I understand the pathetic state things are in now.

Oh, I almost forgot, nicktheitalian (or something like that), who I saw online probably TEN years ago, still has the same vague picture from 10 YEARS AGO, and pretty much the exact same username, from somewhere else. All I remember specifically is this was one of my first "catfish" experiences, before it had a word. Fortunately, my brain has spared me the gory details.

Well I'm not new to online fiascos, so once I join, I will update this review with some good battle stories, hopefully not wounds.

Zoosk moderator keeps disapproving my opinion because they know it's the truth.
Well, I've thought about it and here is what I have to say about online dating. I've been involved with it off and on since 2006. From then until now I've had 3 women in my life (at different times) that would be considered girlfriends, meaning that we were dating exclusively. 2 of them I didn't meet online. The third one I did meet online very recently. She was the original reason that I made the decision to delete my account. After she terminated the endeavor (this is absolutely not directed towards her), I decided to go ahead and delete the account anyway. I will say that she was the first one in 12 years that even came close to being a successful contact. This was not because of a spark, but because I regrouped my thinking and decided to try taking time to experience who the person is. For a long time I wondered where the so called spark was that everyone that tries to sell online dating talked about. I think, and this is just my opinion, it happens but in very isolated cases. Most of the time we expect it and if it's not there upon the first meeting we don't give it a chance. Yes, I'm guilty of this and so are some of the ladies I've met. So, this most recent one was visually appealing, which like most men I noticed right away, but I wanted to get to know her and see if feelings would develop just from hanging out and experiencing mannerisms, voice tones, laughter and conversation. These are the things that are missing that create that spark. What am I talking about you say. Here it is, in most cases ramping up to the spark is the things we notice about a person upon a real life face to face interaction. So, what about the meetings after corresponding online? Well, these meetings were procured from a picture, profile, and messaging like it was designed to be by the online service. That being said, the proper way to do online dating is forget about the salespitch of love at first sight. If you get along during your first meet and Zoosk haven't lied about their age and picture, give it a chance. Something may get the attention of either one of you during the subsequent dates that create that spark. You both may not see it at the same time either. Bottom line is there are human factors that can't be put in a profile or picture. Goodby to Zoosk, and good luck to everyone.

Get a load of these ripoff artists.
By now, most of you know me as being the victim of getting robbed by one of these sites. Unfortunately for me, I didn't do enough checking before I signed up. By the time I realized that all these pictures and profiles couldn't possibly be real, it was too late, as it could be for you if you're not following this. These are scam artists, and have a nice day trying to unload them once Zoosk get your credit card information. Take a good look at their terms of service and make sure your not standing on a bridge, because you'll want to jump off. They tell you directly that they use what is referred to as 3rd party representatives, which means that you're going to have idiots from the site contacting you and pretending to be the people you think you see in the profile pictures. Most of the pictures and profiles are photo shopped or stolen from Facebook or porn websites. Read all of their terms and conditions and then look down to see if your shoes are tied together, because that's what you'll feel like. They'll auto-upgrade you from a trial membership to a full, paid one, and then start charging your credit card for more scam sites. They were charging me for 3 different sites before I could stop them. Ultimately, I had to cancel my credit card and close my checking account to get rid of them. This site is no different when you register. Seconds after my information was sent, my email inbox was ready to fly. Dozens of women had viewed me! Too bad I hadn't given them a picture of myself yet or any profile info. Women contacting me from towns with the names spelled wrong. Who can't spell the name of their town? One was emailng me from a town that was destroyed by a coal mine fire in the 1980s! Some of the profile pictures make no sense. One supposedly from California, had the Eiffel tower in the picture. Another, reportedly one of my "local neighbors", had Yosemite Park in the background. Others are of dogs or animated characters. What kind of dopes do they think people are? What does it matter because all they want is to roll you for money. Notice the addresses of these clowns. Nigeria, Antigua, Malta, South Africa, Cyprus, Antilles, and they're going to try and match you up with someone from your own town? Good luck with that and guess where your credit card information is going when you register. Don't expect their customer service to be much help or even in your language, either. Keep your money because these sites all land in the same category. Thieves.

Zoosk has fake profiles with stolen beautiful womens pictures
I joined up because of all the profiles of BEAUTIFUL single Christian women in my area, namely Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I am thoroughly disappointed.
I know how to pick out fake profiles now, but Zoosk trolls will refine it, so this is your chance to avoid Zoosk altogether.
I am PLAGUED with messages... the EXACT same messages from women who say we would make a great couple, who say Zoosk need my email to send me pictures... I did that ONCE, then got a fake form letter from Gmail saying I needed to change my password, and enter the old one... Of course I didn't, but almost did... They just wanted my password.
Zoosk fake profiles usually have ONE photo, the race is wrong, and the height is usu 3 ft zero... but the description is usually the same. The biggest dead giveaway is the tiny town all those beautiful women are from, which I know is a village, and just one store and old people live there... I absolutely hate zoosk for lying to and taking advantage of men looking for love...
My final beef is they fuuuuuuking kept taking 75 dollars from my credit card without me knowing, without informing me, without asking me if I still wanted to take part in that waste of life with fake profiles... I contacted them after viewing my credit card bills and they said their terms are outlined when signed up... bastards... so I cancelled my subscription finally, after almost two hundred dollars spent and I met only one cheating lying supposedly separated mommy who actually came to my apt picked me up, then screwed me before work... and I didn't really want to move that fast... but she wasn't really separated I found out later... so thanks for the STD Myra... Zoosk is a joke, and waste of time and money, everything costs, should be free after you subscribe... hate this con artist site...

A Joke That Most Men Should Run Quickly Away From...
As you can see by these reviews, women seem to at least be able to talk to and meet actual people and generally (though certainly not always) post more favorable reviews. Some may have some complaints more along the lines of how lame some guys were. At least Zoosk talked with real guys. But if you are a man, apart from a very few who can probably get action anywhere, the chances of ever actually talking to a human female are extremely low. The site seems stacked with:
1) FAKE profiles
2) FAKE views
3) FAKE notifications that someone wants to chat with you
4) FAKE notifications that someone wants to meet you, etc...
Then you try to chat with someone after receiving a notification that the person wants to chat with you, and you NEVER receive a response. It's like being told by a bully in school, "Hey, that girl said she likes you; go talk to her!" Then, of course, you go and the girl has absolutely no interest in you.
I received an e-mail notification that someone wanted to meet me; the pic in the email looked 1-2 decades off of the stated age, and she was listed as being local, but the picture had an out-of-state telephone number written over the face of the lady (which I've heard means the chance is high of the person being a prostitute, if it's even a real person voluntarily posting a pic). Then when I logged into Zoosk, I noticed no such person ever even viewed my profile. According to reviews at Consumer Affairs, this is a very common occurence with Zoosk.
Then I played the carousel to about 50% of potential matches, most of which were not even in my same state, and within a couple minutes had 4-5 'views' from the same women, most, again, from out of state and surely wouldn't have bothered looking if they were real women. Again, another very common Zoosk failure.
Then one young lady I'd sent a message to earlier yesterday allegedly 'viewed' me again, and I saw a message pop up saying that she wanted to chat. So I clicked to her profile to begin chatting and noticed she hadn't even read the first message I'd sent (BTW, you have to pay to see if someone has read any messages sent to them each time after...) Many hours later, after midnite, my phone received a notification that my message had been read, and I noticed she had sent me a message, too. I decided to wait until the morning to view it.
I received a ONE-WORD REPLY -- 'yes' to asking if she lived in the same city with the rest of the chat completely ignored, and yet it now shows we're listed as a 'connection,' lol... I replied, 'Nice,' as it was obvious I was wasting my time. I then shortly later receive a notice that she wanted to chat. I also paid to see that she had allegedly read my last message. So I sent a message stating the app notified me that she wanted to chat, and I asked if she would like to chat a little. That was read but not replied to. Then just a bit later I get the notification again that she wants to chat, though she never does...
This is all experienced in just 2 days since I became a paying member and posted one profile pic. I've since uploaded a few more that I felt were a little better just to see if anything might happen. And I filled out all the information -- story, interests, ideal match, etc... So far, nada except for 2-3 views from the same ones that live a state away and are almost surely bots, anyway. They can't even get bots from the city I live in to play mind games? Lol. I hadn't used a dating site since I met my recent wife of 5 years on Match, but I've been able to at least talk to and meet a few women via Match, and I at least had a fairly lengthy conversation over a few days and nearly met up with one lady via Plenty of Fish ~ 6 years ago.
I sincerely doubt the same would happen on Zoosk regardless of how much time (and $) I invested. How can guys be motivated to put effort into messages they know almost certainly won't ever be seen by a real person? You'd be better off trying to make a match with a hardened political oppenent you'd have an argument with online, as at least that person exists. Hopefully Match and POF haven't gone heavily in this direction, as well.
*ALSO, I WILL MAKE SURE TO CANCEL MY DEBIT CARD BEFORE CANCELING THE SERVICE, AS MANY REVIEWS ON THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS SITE MENTION THAT THE COMPANY WILL STILL CHARGE YOU AFTER CANCELLING. YOU'RE MADE TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WHEN USING PAYPAL THAT THEY CAN USE WHATEVER OTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT IS ON THE ACCOUNT, SO I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO DELETE MY BANK OFF THERE AROUND THAT TIME, AS WELL.
In the end, upon realizing you've paid for 3 months of what basically amounts to a horrible carnival ride full of fake garbage with nothing more to see beyond the first 1-1.5 days, it's better to accept and take the loss and to avoid wasting any more time or energy on the site. I can only say it's made me feel worse about myself in not being completely 100% confident that real women just won't respond to me, though I'm pretty sure it's all bots. It just amazes me that Zoosk is somehow in ANY measure considered one of the top dating sites. What a sham(e). I would have been far better off spending the money and time on self-improvement, which is the way to try and gain interest from women you can actually meet. Hopefully a civil lawsuit will be brought forth at some point and could help reform or even simply help lead to putting such scams out of business. I will post this same review on Consumer Affairs, where there are even far fewer positive reviews. If there were some way to give less than one star here and there, I would do so.

I HAVE TRAVELED FROM THE FUTURE TO ALERT YOU ABOUT ZOOSK.
I HAVE TRAVELED FROM THE FUTURE TO ALERT YOU ABOUT ZOOSK.

If you're reading this review, you may be wondering to yourself if it's worth it to make a financial commitment to Zoosk. I was in your exact place onCE time. I wondered to myself... How could a popular website like Zoosk yield such poor reviews online? Are people simply butt-hurt because Zoosk couldn't get a date?

When you sign up for Zoosk, the platform seems friendly and promising. Your first red flag will appear when you realize you can't read messages from other users without paying for a subscription... But you want to, oh so badly.

So you get suckered into that subscription, but before you even finish your purchase, Zoosk offers you more features for more money! And you're thinking to yourself... Well why am I paying for a monthly subscription if I don't even get all these other features included in there?

Then comes the last slap in the face when you get to the final check out page, and realize that they have a $25 "one time subscription fee"... WTF is this? A gym membership?

But the greed doesn't stop there. Just about anything you want to do on this website costs more money. And you start to realize that it's likely that your matches are not even getting your messages, because they may not even have a Premium Subscription. So Zoosk is actually using your messages to honeypot other users into paying for a subscription, while you're left feeling demotivated because you are not getting a reply back from anyone.

Right at this point, Zoosk delivers one last kick to the nuts. They automatically renew your monthly subscription without notifying you. What is the point of signing up for a one-month subscription vs a 12 month subscription if the former option gets automatically renewed without your knowledge.

If you're like me, you are finally so fed up by their scammer approach with online dating, that you decide to de-activate your account. At least you get to feel some joy when you click through their desperate click-bait attempts to keep you as a paying member. They beg and plead with you not to deactivate your account down to the very last click.

TL; DR
Search for "Zoosk reviews on Consumeraffairs.com and see for youself.

This site is setup to strictly take your money
This site is setup to strictly take your money. First there's the 30 bucks for one month and their setup fee. Now that you paid, the next thing you get is a whole bunch of "views" and messages stating someone wants to meet you. But here's the kicker... to email or chat with that person you must pay for the privileged. Let me say that again! You've paid at least 30 bucks to join the site but now you have to pay to be "connected" with someone on the site who supposedly wants to meet you. Let's not forget if you do see someone you like and send that person a message unless that person is a paid subscriber Zoosk cannot read your message but they do get a message stating you've left a message for them. Once you've paid to subscribe, you'll find you must pay for additional services such as allowing you to contact someone interested in you. The search function on this site is intentionally primitive as to not allow you to search by the person's profile name you know just in case you'd like to view the person who is interested in you profile... well you can't since you can't search by city, profile name, or anything else which would interrupt their ability to get you to pay more. My favorite thing about the site was receiving a someone just sent you a message alert but when you do find that person's profile, they haven't logged in in hours, days, sometimes weeks so, how did they just send you a chat or message. If you respond to one of these messages, you either receive no responds, a canned response such as "tell me more", or an actual response from the user stating they did not send you a message. Not worth a dime

Daters Beware - Many Dishonest People
Like most others, I was suckered into paying for a subscription so I could read my messages. I was quickly matched with an extremely high amount of men, and I had just as many men interested in me and requesting to chat with me. I began chatting with several different men. The first man I became interested in lived 373 miles away. After chatting on Zoosk for a while, he asked to chat with me via phone. I provided him with my number. We chatted via phone/text and he soon invited me to visit him. He paid for me to come to see him and we had a great time and really connected. I thought he was a wonderful man. I stayed for 5 days and we set up another trip, this time to come and stay for 10 days. In the meantime, he became ill and was hospitalized. I still talked to him everyday and when things were bad, I communicated with his daughter. He was in the hospital and rehab a total of 3 weeks and my trip was coming up in a week. He was anxious to see me. I talked to him on a Wednesday, and didn't hear from him the next day or the following day. When I tried to contact him, his phone would ring, I would leave messages, send texts - no response. Finally - a 3-line text saying "I'm sorry I've been so difficult lately. I really need to get my health straightened out. We'll see what happens at that point." That was it. I never heard from him again. He never officially "broke up" with me, he never officially cancelled the trip, etc. I was just left to wonder what happened. I did a little background searching on him and found out he had lied to me. He said he was married and divorced twice. He left out the third marriage and divorce I found on his county website. He also committed tax fraud on five years of his returns. The lawsuit against him was dropped when he filed Chapter 11 (Corporate reorganization) bankruptcy. I cautiously moved on to another man who was nice and a little bit closer (90 miles). Same scenario, chatted on Zoosk, moved on to talking/texting on phone. He asked to come to see me. We set up the date and time and talked the day before. He was to call me when he was on the road, but said the call should come around 12:30 p.m. That time came and went. At 1:30 p.m., I called him - two rings and it went to voicemail. He finally called me to say (in his fake shaky voice) that he was sick and had been trying to work up the courage to call and tell me he wasn't coming. In the meantime, I had spruced up my house, gone to the store to get some snacks, and got ready. Total time spent - approximately 4 hours. I told him that it wasn't a problem and we could reschedule some other time if he wanted. Still, the whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth since he had known the entire day that he wasn't going to come to see me and could have cancelled before I went to all the trouble of preparing for his visit. He contacted me the next day and asked to reschedule the date. We set it up for the next week, and every time I communicated with him thereafter, I asked if the date was still on, and every time he replied "yes." The night before the date he sent me a text saying that he had looked at a couple of places to eat and said his plan was to be on the road by 2 p.m., to arrive at 3:30 p.m. He said he would call me before Noon. Noon came and went. At 12:10 p.m., I called him. Same thing happened as the previous time - phone went to voicemail after 2 rings. I texted him - no response. At 12:30 p.m., I called again - same thing. At 1 p.m. I sent him a text and said that it was over an hour past the time he said he was going to call and that if he was planning on being on the road in an hour, that I would think he would be up and about and would have long since contacted me. Finally, about 15 minutes later, I received a text from him saying, "no matter what I say you are probably not going to believe me..." He went on to say that his days and nights had been mixed up for a few days and that when I called him the first time he had only been asleep for 3 hours and there was no way he could drive down to see me on 3 hours of sleep. I asked him why he hadn't simply called me when he went to bed at 9 a.m. to say he was just going to sleep and would not be able to come down. He had no answer for me. Luckily, this time I had done no preparation, not even getting ready as my gut instinct was he was going to do this again. I went on to learn that although his profile said he was "divorced," he was not actually "divorced," rather "separated." I told him that Zoosk had the option of putting "separated" as a status and asked why he didn't do that. He said it was because his divorce was going to be final "soon," and that he had been "separated" for 7 years; also, because women would just go right past him if he put "separated" as his marital status. So - another man who lied! In every conversation that I had with him, this man referred to the woman he was married to as "my wife." He never once referred to her as his "ex," or "soon to be ex," etc. It was why I questioned him about being married, and he told me he was "separated." I don't believe for one minute that this man was in the process of a divorce. Someone who had been separated for 7 years would not continually talk about his wife using the term, "my wife." I asked the man to never contact me again and blocked him on Zoosk and on my Facebook page. Unfortunately, I can't completely block him from my phone, but so far, he has not tried to contact me. I am now, again very cautiously, dating a man from Zoosk who only lives a few miles from me and has been a gentleman in every way. He is kind and gentle and I hold out some hope for this relationship. I went into such details about my first two experiences on Zoosk because I want to warn women to be very, very careful on this website. Even though we may feel safe with verified photos, phone numbers, email addresses and FB pages, these things definitely do NOT mean that a man is being honest. I wish that I could post the names of these men so that other women could be forewarned, but I know that is defamation of character, and so I can't do it. Hopefully my experiences will be enough that women will do a little background checking on the men Zoosk are going to date BEFORE they date them, rather than the way I did it - which was after the fact. Sorry for the long story, but if it helps just one person, then it was well worth the read!

Lots of issues
Cons
1. No spell or grammar checker
2. Window for typing messages only 5 lines with 1 to 6 words/line. You are always scrolling up and down to read your entire message. This small window makes it easy to miss spelling errors, wrong tense missing words etc.
3. In 3.5 months 2 women tried to scam me for money. 1 for $5,000. A 3rd maybe trying to scam me but hasn't asked for money yet.
4 Another profile had 6 "verified " photos. Me and 2 friends agreed Zoosk weren't the same woman. When I complained, ZOOSK removed the profile
5. ZOOSK provides a list of women that have looked at my profile. I contacted 2 that ZOOSK said looked at my profile several times, both women said they hadn't looked at my profile. Which makes sense because both live over 800 miles from me.
6. Customer service jumps to conclusions and answers questions before reading the entire question. Having jumped to a conclusion they give a stock answer to a different question. This results in having to keep asking the same question several times before customer service finally answers the original question.

7. ZOOSK keeps telling me that women that live 100 to 400 miles from me are looking at my profile. How many women are interested in dating a man that live 1 to4 hours from them
8. ZOOSK encourages me to ignore messages sent to me if I'm not interested in a woman. That is ZOOSK encourages rude behavior. Rather than send a canned not interested
9. ZOOSK has an auto replay feature, so as you send a message, you get a canned auto reply. So you never know if someone is interested in you or not until they haven't responded to second or 3rd message.

10 there is no way to tell is a person is active or not on ZOOSK. This means you could send a message to someone that hasn't been on ZOOSK for a year. I asked about this and customer service confirmed this correct.

If you are a non-subscribing user or Member at the time of any change, unless otherwise indicated, any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the revisions to the Site or Service, and your use of the Service after such posting will constitute acceptance by you of the revised Agreement. If you are a subscribing Member at the time of any change or modification, unless otherwise indicated this Agreement will continue to govern your membership until such time that your subscription renews as contemplated by Section 12. If you continue your subscription, the renewal will constitute acceptance by you of the revised Agreement. Alternatively, if you terminate your subscription at such time, your use of the Service after your termination will constitute acceptance by you of the revised Agreement. As a result, you should frequently review this Agreement and all applicable terms and policies to understand the terms that apply to your use of the Services. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you must stop using the Services.

ELECTRONIC RECORDS

Because the Services are provided electronically, you agree that Zoosk will provide important information electronically if you use the Services. Electronic Records will be provided on our Sites and Services or sent to the email address associated with your account.

You may withdraw your consent to receive Electronic Records by contacting us in writing at the address provided above. However, the Services provided by Zoosk are only available if you agree to receive Electronic Records. If you withdraw your consent your account will be deactivated.

You can obtain a paper copy of an Electronic Record by contacting us in writing at the address provided above. Zoosk may charge a reasonable fee to cover the costs of printing and sending the requested Electronic Record.

Zoosk is not responsible for the conduct of its users or their compatibility with you. You agree that Zoosk is under no obligation to screen its users, inquire into the background of its users or attempt to verify information provided by its users. You agree that not all users are available for matching and that Zoosk may create test profiles or accounts to monitor the operation of the Services.

You will take all necessary precautions when meeting other users, especially if you decide to meet in person. IN ADDITION, YOU WILL REVIEW OUR ONLINE DATING SAFETY TIPS PRIOR TO USING THE SERVICES.

These tips provide general advice aimed at engaging in safer dating practices, such as not providing your last name, home address, place of work, financial information (such as your credit card number or your bank account number) or other identifying information to other users and stopping all communications with anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information or attempts in any way to trick you into revealing it.

You will treat all other users with dignity and respect and comply with our user conduct rules set forth in Section 3(f) below.

No Commercial Solicitation or Advertising. You will not engage in any advertising or solicitation to buy or sell any products or services through the use of the Services and you will not transmit any chain letters, junk or spam email to other users. Such sites are not under the control of Zoosk and Zoosk is not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site, or any review, changes or updates to such sites.

Zoosk provides these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply affiliation, endorsement or adoption by Zoosk of any site or any information on such sites.

When you leave the Services, you should be aware that our terms and policies no longer govern. You should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any site to which you navigate from the Services.
THIRD PARTY CONTENT

Zoosk may provide third party content on the Services and may provide links to web pages and content of third parties (collectively, the "Third Party Content") as a service to those interested in this information.

Zoosk does not control, endorse or adopt any Third Party Content.

Zoosk is not responsible for Third Party Content, including its accuracy or completeness and Zoosk does not review any Third Party Content.
ADVERTISERS AND OTHER THIRD PARTIES

The Services may contain advertisements and promotions from third parties or may otherwise provide information about or links to third party products or services.

Your dealings or correspondence with, or participation in promotions of, such third parties, and any terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings or promotions are between you and such third party.

Zoosk is not responsible for, and does not endorse, any features, content, advertising, products, services or other materials on or available from third party sites.

Zoosk is not responsible for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of such dealings or as a result of the presence of such third party advertisers or third party information on the Services.
PAID SERVICES

General. If you purchase any Services that we offer for a fee (the "Paid Services"), such as a subscription to our Services or virtual coins (as described below), you permit Zoosk and our designated payment processors to store your payment information and other related information to provide the Services.

If you purchase a Paid Service, you will pay the applicable fees for the Paid Services (including periodic fees for ongoing subscriptions (the "Subscription Fees") as set forth on the Services) as they become due including all related taxes (including sales and use taxes (e.g. VAT), duties or other governmental taxes or fees), and you agree to reimburse us for all reasonable collection costs and reasonable interest for any overdue amounts.

No Refunds. All fees and charges are nonrefundable. Zoosk will not make any refunds or credits for any partially used Paid Services (including partially used subscription periods) except:

As expressly set forth in this Agreement;

As required by applicable law; or

At Zoosk's discretion.

Fees for the Paid Services may be payable in advance, in arrears, per usage or as described when you initially purchase the Paid Services. All prices for Paid Services are subject to change by Zoosk without notice (except as otherwise described in this Section 12).

Payment Method. Zoosk may, from time to time, offer various payment methods, including without limitation payment by credit card, by debit card, by cheque, by certain mobile payment providers or by using PayPal.

You authorize Zoosk to charge you for Paid Services through the payment method(s) you select when purchasing the Paid Services (the "Payment Method") and you agree to make payment using such Payment Method(s) (we may, from time to time, receive and use updated payment method information provided by you or that financial institutions, payment processors or you may provide to us to update information related to your Payment Method(s), such as updated expiration dates or account numbers).

Certain Payment Methods, such as credit cards and debit cards, may involve agreements between you and the financial institution, credit card issuer or other provider of your chosen Payment Methods (the "Payment Method Provider").

If we do not receive payment from your Payment Method Provider and your Payment Method Provider notifies us that this is your fault (for example, you do not have enough funds in your account), you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand from us.

By not terminating your Paid Services you confirm that we may charge your Payment Method.

Zoosk's Paid Services may also be purchased through your accounts with certain third parties, such as your Apple iTunes account, your Google Play account or your Amazon account (a "Third Party Account"). If you purchase any Paid Services through a Third Party Account, billing for these Paid Services will appear through your Third Party Account. You should review the Third Party Account's terms and conditions, which we do not control.

Automatic Renewal of Subscriptions. IF YOU PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION BY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD (OR OTHER PAYMENT METHOD IDENTIFIED ON OUR SERVICES OR A SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE AS INVOLVING AN AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING SUBSCRIPTION) AND YOU DO NOT CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS AGREEMENT BEFORE THE END OF THE SUBSCRIPTION TERM, YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY EXTENDED AT THE END OF EACH TERM FOR SUCCESSIVE RENEWAL PERIODS OF THE SAME DURATION AS THE SUBSCRIPTION TERM ORIGINALLY SELECTED.

FOR EXAMPLE, UNLESS YOU CANCEL, A ONE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND A SIX MONTH SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW ON A SIX MONTH BASIS.

UNLESS INDICATED IN ANY APPLICABLE ADDITIONAL TERMS OR COMMUNICATIONS WE SEND TO YOUR REGISTERED EMAIL ADDRESS, SUCH RENEWAL WILL BE AT THE SAME SUBSCRIPTION FEE AS WHEN YOU FIRST SUBSCRIBED, PLUS ANY APPLICABLE TAXES, UNLESS WE NOTIFY YOU AT LEAST 10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE END OF YOUR CURRENT TERM THAT THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE WILL INCREASE.

YOU AGREE THAT YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED FOR THE RENEWAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES, PLUS ANY APPLICABLE TAXES, UPON EACH AUTOMATIC RENEWAL.

YOU AGREE THAT YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS SUBJECT TO AUTOMATIC RENEWALS AND YOU CONSENT TO AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL RECURRING CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD (OR OTHER PAYMENT METHOD, AS APPLICABLE) BASED ON THIS AUTOMATIC RENEWAL FEATURE WITHOUT FURTHER AUTHORIZATION FROM YOU AND WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY LAW. YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE AMOUNT OF THE RECURRING CHARGE MAY CHANGE IF THE APPLICABLE TAX RATES CHANGE OR IF YOU ARE NOTIFIED THAT THERE WILL BE AN INCREASE IN THE APPLICABLE SUBSCRIPTION FEES.

Cancellation of Subscriptions. TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AT ANY TIME, GO TO THE "SETTINGS" PAGE OF YOUR DATING PROFILE, CLICK ON "SUBSCRIPTION" AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU PURCHASED A SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY ACCOUNT, YOU WILL NEED TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH THAT THIRD PARTY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THAT THIRD PARTY'S TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BENEFITS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END OF YOUR THEN CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION TERM, BUT YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT BE RENEWED AFTER THAT TERM EXPIRES.

YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A PRORATED REFUND OF ANY PORTION OF THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES PAID FOR THE THEN CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION TERM OF THIS AGREEMENT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE YOU COMPLETE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PURCHASE BY CLICKING ON "CONFIRM" OR "PURCHASE" (OR A SIMILAR BUTTON), WE WILL BEGIN TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SERVICES.

AS SUCH, BECAUSE WE HAVE BEGUN TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SERVICES, YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT UNDER THE DISTANCE SELLING DIRECTIVE (OR SIMILAR LEGISLATION IN YOUR COUNTRY).

Current Information Required. You will provide current, complete and accurate billing information and will update all such information (such as changes in billing address, credit card number or credit card expiration date) as necessary for the processing of all payments that are due to Zoosk.

You will notify Zoosk if your Payment Method is canceled (for example, due to loss or theft) or if you become aware of a potential breach of security related to your Payment Method.

If you fail to provide any of the foregoing information, you agree that your current Payment Method may continue to be charged for Paid Services and you are responsible for all such charges.

Change in Amount Authorized. If the total amount to be charged varies from the amount you authorized when purchasing any Paid Services (other than a taxation change), Zoosk will provide notice of the amount to be charged and the date of the charge at least 10 days before the scheduled date of the transaction. If you do not cancel your Paid Services before the increased price goes into effect, you agree to pay the increased price for the Paid Services.

You agree that Zoosk may accumulate charges incurred and submit them as one or more aggregate charges during or at the end of each billing cycle. Zoosk will inform you of any additional charges that are accumulated.

Virtual Currency and Virtual Products. Please see our Virtual Goods and Currency Terms of Use for additional terms applicable to the purchase and use of virtual currency and virtual products offered by us. Typically, our virtual currency may be used to purchase certain features or virtual goods in connection with our Services.

Any virtual currency you receive as a promotion from us will be subject to the terms of our Virtual Goods and Currency Terms of Use.

Incorrect Payments and Errors. In the event that you submit to us a payment for Paid Services that is less than the price for the Paid Services you selected Zoosk shall inform you and you must pay the outstanding balance due. Zoosk may correct any errors or mistakes in respect of the fees that it makes even if it has already requested or received payment of the fees.
MOBILE SERVICES

You may access and use certain features of the Services using certain mobile devices, including through our SMS service (the "Mobile Services").

Your access and use of the Mobile Services is subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including without limitation the terms and conditions regarding the use and submission of User Content, as well as any Additional Terms presented to you for your acceptance when you sign up to use our Mobile Services.

Please note that by accessing or using the Mobile Services, your mobile phone or data provider's normal rates and fees, such as standard message and data rates, still apply and you are responsible for payment of those fees.

In the event you change or deactivate your mobile telephone number, you will update your account information on Zoosk within 48 hours to ensure that your messages are not sent to the person who acquires your old number.

We may make available software to access the Services via a mobile or tablet device ("Mobile Software"). Mobile Software also includes any updates, upgrades or other new features, functionality, improvements or enhancements to the Mobile Software and any on-line, read me, help files, or other related explanatory materials relating to the Mobile Software.

You, and not Zoosk, are responsible for ensuring your device works with the Mobile Software.

Zoosk hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Mobile Software on your device for your personal use only.

Unless specifically allowed by this Agreement and except as prohibited by law, you must not:

Copy the Mobile Software;

Give or sell or otherwise make available the Mobile Software to anybody else;

Change the Mobile Software in any way;

Look for or access the code of our Mobile Software that we have not expressly published publicly for general use; or

Distribute or make the Mobile Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.

Zoosk may issue upgraded versions of the Mobile Software, and may automatically electronically upgrade the version of the Mobile Software that you are using on your device. You consent to such automatic upgrading on your device, and agree that the terms and conditions of this Agreement will apply to all such upgrades.

You agree that all confidential information, copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Mobile Software belong to us or the people who have licensed us to use those rights.

You agree that you have no rights in or to the Mobile Software other than the right to use the Mobile Software in accordance with this Agreement and any additional terms contained in an End User License Agreement associated with any Mobile Software. Please see the applicable End User License Agreement for more information.

Mobile Software from iTunes or the App Store.

The following applies to any Mobile Software you acquire or download from the iTunes Store or the App Store provided by Apple ("iTunes-Sourced Software"):

GOVERNING LAW; YOUR OBLIGATIONS TO US

Our goal is to resolve any disputes amicably and quickly and we encourage you to contact us and explain your complaint as soon as it arises. This section is not intended to limit your rights as a consumer or your right to bring an action in your country of residence, to the extent such rights cannot be changed by this Agreement.

Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of California, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Notwithstanding the preceding sentences with respect to the substantive law, any arbitration conducted pursuant to the terms of this Agreement shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S. C. §§ 1-16). The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded. You agree that any claim or dispute you may have against Zoosk must be resolved in a federal or state court located in Santa Clara County, California, USA or as described in the Arbitration provision below. Both you and Zoosk retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation or violation of copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights, as set forth in the Arbitration provision below, including any provisional relief required to prevent irreparable harm. You agree that Santa Clara County, California, USA is the proper forum for any appeals of an arbitration award or in the event that the Arbitration provision below is for any reason held to be unenforceable.

Arbitration. READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY BECAUSE IT REQUIRES THE PARTIES TO ARBITRATE THEIR DISPUTES AND LIMITS THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU CAN SEEK RELIEF FROM ZOOSK. For any dispute with Zoosk, you agree to first contact us within 30 days of when the dispute arises at *******@zoosk.com and attempt to resolve the dispute with us informally. In the unlikely event that Zoosk has not been able to informally resolve a dispute it has with you within 60 days, we each agree to resolve any claim, dispute, or controversy (excluding any claims for injunctive or other equitable relief described in Section 19(a)) arising out of or in connection with or relating to this Agreement, or the breach or alleged breach thereof (collectively, "Claims"), by binding arbitration by the Judicial Mediation and Arbitration Services ("JAMS") under the JAMS Optional Expedited Procedures then in effect, except as provided herein. JAMS may be contacted at www.jamsadr.com. You will have the right to participate in the selection of the arbitrator, who may be selected by mutual agreement of the parties or by the procedures provided by JAMS if the parties are unable to agree on an arbitrator. Unless the parties agree otherwise, the arbitrator shall be an attorney licensed to practice in the location where the arbitration proceedings will be conducted or a retired federal or state judicial officer who presided in the jurisdiction where the arbitration will be conducted. The arbitration will be conducted in Santa Clara County, California, USA, (or the nearest office to Santa Clara County), unless you request a hearing in your hometown area or you and Zoosk agree otherwise. The language to be used in the arbitral proceedings will be English, unless otherwise agreed by the parties. You will be responsible for paying any JAMS filing fees in accordance with JAMS rules. The award rendered by the arbitrator may include your costs of arbitration, your reasonable attorneys' fees and your reasonable costs for expert and other witnesses, and any judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this Section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from the courts as necessary to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of that party's data security, intellectual property rights, or other proprietary rights. You may sue in a small claims court of competent jurisdiction without first engaging in arbitration, but this does not absolve you of your commitment to engage in the informal dispute resolution process.

If your claim does not exceed $10,000, then the arbitration will be conducted solely on the basis of the documents that you and Zoosk submit to the arbitrator and, if requested by either party or the arbitrator, a telephonic hearing.

CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER. YOU AND ZOOSK AGREE THAT ANY AND ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THIS WAIVER APPLIES TO CLASS ARBITRATION, AND, UNLESS WE AGREE OTHERWISE, THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS. YOU AGREE THAT, BY ENTERING INTO THIS AGREEMENT, YOU AND ZOOSK ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Severability. If any clause within this Section 19 is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that clause will be severed from this section and the remainder of the section will be given full force and effect, except that in the event of unenforceability of the universal Class Action/Jury Trial Waiver, the entire arbitration agreement shall be unenforceable.

Except to the extent Zoosk is in breach of the terms of this Agreement, you shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other costs incurred by Zoosk, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their directors, officers, managers, agents, contractors, partners and employees due to or arising from

Your use of or access to the Services, including any data or content transmitted or received by you, or your inability to use the Services;

Any claim or damages that arise as a result of any of your User Content or any User Content that is submitted via your account that is in breach of this Agreement, our policies or any Additional Terms;

Your conduct in connection with the Services or our users that is in breach of this Agreement, our policies or any Additional Terms;

Your violation of any of the terms of this Agreement, including without limitation your breach of any of the statements you have agreed to in this Agreement;

Any other party's access and use of the Services with your unique username, password or other appropriate security code; or

Your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations.

Termination by Zoosk. Zoosk may suspend, deactivate or terminate your account and your right to use the Services and may block or prevent your access to and use of the Services at any time if you commit a breach the terms of this Agreement, in Zoosk's discretion. In particular and without limitation, if you breach the terms of clauses 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 and 15 we may terminate this agreement.

We may also terminate this Agreement by giving you notice.

We may remove or block access to your account information, User Content or data from our Services and any other records at any time in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

In the event that your access to any of the Services is terminated or suspended in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, you agree that all fees then paid to Zoosk by you will be nonrefundable, except as otherwise provided by law. All decisions relating to refunds of the fees are at Zoosk's discretion.

Termination by You. You may deactivate or terminate your account at any time, for any or no reason, by accessing the "settings" page of your account or by contacting us as described above. If you deactivate or terminate your account before the expiry of your subscription, please see clause 12(e). Except as otherwise provided by law or under this Agreement, you will not be entitled to any refund of the fees you have paid to Zoosk. All decisions relating to refunds of the fees are at Zoosk's discretion.

Survival. After your account is suspended, deactivated or terminated, all terms that by their nature may survive termination of this Agreement shall be deemed to survive such termination, including without limitation Sections 17, 18, 19 and 21.
MISCELLANEOUS

This Agreement, and any rights and licenses granted in this Agreement, may not be transferred by you without Zoosk's consent, but may be transferred by Zoosk without restriction.

Zoosk intends to rely on the terms of this Agreement and the terms of any Additional Terms as setting out the written terms of our relationship with you unless we have both agreed to a separate written agreement between us that expressly governs over this Agreement.

If any provision of this Agreement is illegal or otherwise unenforceable, this shall not affect the rest of this Agreement or the Additional Terms.

Other than any entities that Zoosk owns a 50% or greater interest in, or as otherwise set forth in this Agreement, there are no third-party beneficiaries to this Agreement and no third party who is not a party to this Agreement shall have any right to enforce any term of this Agreement.

If you do not comply with this Agreement and we do not take action immediately, this does not mean that we have given up any rights that we may take action in the future.
LANGUAGE OF THE AGREEMENT

The language of this Agreement is English.

Where Zoosk has provided a translation of the English version of this Agreement, you agree that the translation is provided for your convenience only and that the English language version of this Agreement will govern your relationship with Zoosk.

If there is any contradiction between what the English language version of this Agreement says and what a translation says, then the English language version will take precedence.

Every time I open the app, I wind up in search mode
Every time I open the app, I wind up in search mode. This means that the one person I unintentionally viewed, while opening the app, now has an alert saying that I viewed them. I can recall multiple times where the same person shows up, now Zoosk think I'm basically stalking them(not the case.) Carousel is a stupid spin off of Tinder.[ DO YOU LIKE? Yes-Maybe-No] kinda thing. You can use this as a method of obtaining free coins that everyone $#*!es about paying for. Up to 40 per day. Just click Maybe 40 times in a row and now you've got 40 coins. If someone who you want to meet (via carousel) wants to meet you, well you gotta pay 30 coins to be able to chat with that person. The Online Now tab is a waste, because there is no filtering ability. Yea if I wanted to search for people online in Hawaii I wouldn't live in F**king Arkansas. The Search tab is better than POF I must say. In this section you can select what you are looking for as far as age, ethnicity, children, education, body type, etc. and Zoosk actually does a good job of properly filtering your search. (Why you can't filter the Online Now tab is a mystery to me) But going back to what I said earlier, while you search you scroll through potential matches wondering "How many of these people are being told that I'm viewing them?" My guess is every last one. This app seems to have found various loopholes to make you feel as though you are/will be receiving attention when that's simply not the case. As for the subscription aspect, $30.00 is really steep for 1 month. Also, almost everyone on this review site had a problem cancelling their subscription. 2 minutes it took me. Granted I have an Iphone, it was really simple to turn off my subscription. I think Zoosk is like any other mid to low tier dating site, full of people who don't know what they want and overall not worth my time and money. Be mindful and do not think with your genitals. PS I cannot reflect on customer service or returns, seeing as how I knew my $30.00 went out the window as soon as I clicked subscribe. And I never thought to call Zoosk for help on any matter. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Dear Lord what have I done?
Dear Lord what have I done?

So I just heard about this new free dating website called "Zoosk.Com" and figured I would give it a try. Even before my profile was fully created I was having doubts. The first thing that bothered me about it is that if you say you have children you have to either say that "Zoosk live at home" or that "they don't live at home". In my case I have my daughter 50% of the time which leaves plenty of time for dating without having to bring her into the equation. This is actually a pretty big deal that they essentially are forcing people with kids to say they either live with or without them 100% of the time because not only does it paint an inaccurate picture, but it can significantly reduce a person's marketability by giving the impression that their kid is connected to their hip at all times.

So I finish my profile and on the main home page what do I see? Status updates of unattractive men and then... OMG! I kid you not... on the home page I see a pic of a big hard... umm you can use your imagination. Real classy huh?

The good news? I have had 7 men email/wink at me in the 35 minutes I have been signed up. The bad news? If me and any one of these guys were the last ones on earth and the survival of the species depended on my having to have procreate with them, let's just say "Sorry human kind".

Oh and another thing, this is one of those "free sites" that limits you in terms of the interaction you can have with people unless you spend money. If I wanted to be hit on by unattractive men I would just go to a bar and at least there I'd get my drinks paid for. Ha ha!

I'm going to leave my profile up and try to give this site a fair shot, but I can't say I'm getting my hopes up.

Here is the REAL problem with Zoosk.
First off, I do believe Zoosk is a legitimate site. Although I haven't gone out with any women, I have chatted with a few. Nothing has led me to believe that any of them were bogus profiles.

Zoosk boats millions of members. But the REAL problem is in the number of abandoned profiles. I did a search within 50 miles of my location and Zoosk returned 269 different profiles. Pretty darn good, eh? NO! Of those profiles, only 34 appeared to be active. The rest? Who knows, but Zoosk haven't been attended to nor ever deleted. That means that nearly 87% of the profiles on Zoosk are a total waste of time as the users are long gone.

A couple of examples:

Some profiles start out saying "I am 49 years old and...". Yet, Zoosk states their age as 54.

Some photographs have the digital date stamps on them. Many I saw were 4-6 years old. One profile I saw had photos with digital date stamps of 2004 and 2005! So what you see is not what you'd be getting!

As a result, you'll need a shovel to dig your way through the deadwood. Even at 34 seemingly active profiles, a small few may remain once you pass by the Angus-sized beheffers. And good luck getting any of the good ones to reply.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------... /> Update 9-1-16: Another Thing I noticed.

The Zoozk "Boost" feature is an extra cost option which highlights your profile in several different fashions allowing you to receive many new views in a very short period of time (typically 1 hour). However, you need to be online to activate (pay) it. This would mark you as either "Currently online" or "Recently Online" in case you log off before your boost runs out.

It appears that if Zoosk isn't getting enough paying members to fill their boost, they just choose profiles at random. Again, you are being directed to dead profiles. Once you click onto a profile, it is not marked with either the "Currently Online" or "Recently Online" tags indicating the member never authorized or paid for the boost.

The Ugly Truth
Oh Lord, this site has already gotten to me, and it's been less than a week. This is a shout-out to the men in the 50 age group out there.

If you're married or in a relationship, save the little pads on your fingertips. As the meme goes, "Never underestimate my ability to find out $#*!." I will tell your wife or GF. Just get a divorce and some therapy. No, I don't want a threesome. See prior comment about therapy. I'm sure there are women out there who are into it, but I like and respect myself.

You don't have to be perfect, I actually prefer men who aren't gorgeous, because Zoosk tend to be too narcissistic. But please, if you haven't taken care of yourself, just don't. I'm not into watching a loved one take the express train to stroke or heart attack land, and that's where you're heading if you're overweight, don't exercise, or eat healthy. Plus, it just grosses me out.

If you send me a message that begins with, "I know you're not in my league, but", then you're correct. Grow a set, and stop with the passive-aggressive whining. Don't waste those two seconds of my life when I have to delete your message.

You're in Florida, and you think we're a match made in heaven? Did you lick lead paint off the walls as a child? Are you going to drive or fly to Virginia every weekend so we can spend some quality time together? I suspect some cousin love in your family bush.

You ask for my phone number 5 minutes into our first conversation? I suppose I should dish out my social security number, and bail out your Nigerian prince uncle too. Do I look like I just fell off the turnip truck?

Have the attention span of a gnat, and bailed because I didn't message you nonstop over the course of days? I work and have a life. I'm used to men acting like men. If you had just manned up and asked for a date, like the men of old used to do.

Your profile picture looks like something out of a wanted dead or alive poster, and you can't understand why I'm not messaging your back? Really?

Why aren't there any decent women out there, you and my platonic male friends ask? It's because we're home, emotionally dead inside, dinking wine and watching Netflix, so we don't have to deal with this crap. If I never have another date, this man-repellant rant was soooo worth it.

Scam Dating Website - Don't Believe Reviews They Write Themselves - One.Big.Con - Avoid
Tried this dating site. Absolute waste of time. So pleased I didn't part with any money. Wrote some nice profiles - waste of time. No-one ever replies, no messages or anything. Constantly bombarded with adverts to take out a subscription - very expensive so avoided. As site came online, faded mosaic of old members photos, reminiscent of well-known scamming dating web site. Looks like clone running in background with new front end, very suspicious. None will ever contact you as all these profiles are empty fakes. Got many views yet no messages. Spotted pattern - only got viewed when I was offline. All views received were false - generated automatically by algorithms in system software behind the web site. Paused my profile for a while - inactive so no-one could see it. Wow, I got so many views and emails saying I need to login asap as XXX or YYY wants to contact me. Really? How was that possible when my profile was not active and thus hidden from view? BS. Ran advanced searches using lots of different criteria. Very revealing. For a site that claims to have 40 million singles, searches produced only handful of profiles or in some cases absolutely none at all. 'There is no-one online at the moment' was often the system message. This is a statistical impossibility for an international web site. A few token bimbo pictures exist. Careful these are only there to prise a subscription out of your pocket. They're not even real. Ran an automated search several times in quick succession. It ran out of matches to show me, which is odd for site that claims to have 40 million singles. Last profile photo repeatedly got displayed as if it was a completely new user each time. It had an age that kept changing to new values - an identical user photo aged 25, or 26, or 27, or 28, or 29, or 30 and so on. The system was likely automatically generating fake profiles to artificially match to (false) computer-generated data. The algorithm does this presumably to make it look as if there are plenty of different people online, when in fact this is not the case. Sure, there will be a few real people on the site. But goodness when 95% of all profiles have no text but only a single photo, it's easy to wonder if any of these are at all really genuine. Of the remaining 5% possible real people, many had profiles contained such negative views from members with bad entitlement attitudes, that no-one in their right mind would ever wish to meet them anyway. Financials for the owner company's marketing and overall revenue figures is 50M+ Euros! Not bad from a business to maximise profit return on investments. My advice: These are scammers of the first order. Dating site? More like One.BIg.Con Please Avoid - Avoid - Avoid.

Danger: Disgusting, hate filled, vile fraudulent scammers.
WARNING Stay away from Zoosk
Danger, stay away from Zoosk.

Zoosk is a totally nasty site at every turn.
Nasty, lying, manipulative, deceitful staffers at the Zoosk control board.
Scammers of the lowest sort, beneath contempt.

Final straw: I was viewing the " carousel " feature
On. 4-4-2017 at 10:41 am, EST, from Medford, Mass.
And came across a profile for >>>> ANNE FRANK. <<<<<
Yes, The Anne Frank of Nazi holocaust fame.
ANNE FRANK!?!
Really, Zoosk? This is the best you can do?.
Anne Frank is looking to date?

I have the screen shot. Contact me.
This is the whole disgusting truth about Zoosk.

Anne Frank's unmistakable black and white snapshot of a 13 year old girl.
Zoosk posted a picture of a dead minor child on the site for any and all to see and
Get a date with!
And her name clearly posted, not even a screen name of sorts.
WTF WTF.?

Who does this...?. Zoosk does.!
Sickening at every turn.
Holy hell, give the dead girl a rest, would you Zoosk.
Please, give it a rest.

It gets worse...
Zoosk claims:
>>>. Anne Frank is 87 years old.
Her " likes " are reading and ice cream.
She lives in Hesperia, California.
Anne Frank's " ideal date " is going out and getting some ice cream and after that
To go to a book store and get some books.
Anne Frank likes the bible ". <<<<
What?

Zoosk is an awful bunch, very. Coarse and spiteful.
Danger, stay away.

Ok, I was sickened and enraged.
I sent " Anne Frank" a note expressing my horror, sadness and disgust
For the sick game that Zoosk seems to enjoy.
I ripped Zoosk up one side and down the other.
Knowing full well Zoosk robotic filters would pick it up and be read
By the knuckle dragging sewer scum that are the Zoosk staffers.

I then posted a nasty screen name, a nasty fake profile
And nasty interests.
" Serial killer slasher" was my screen name.
I live in Beverly Hills, Calif. 90210
I posted fake, inane photos.
I started " winking" at any and all " women" posted and when and if Zoosk replied I
Warned them of a scam and to be careful.

I cancelled my subscription, blocked my credit card and deleted my account.
But Zoosk won't let it go.
They keep you online till the end of your time period.
Urging you to renew your membership.
And sending false winks, views and alerts the whole time.
Yikes, they are like a bad rash, but worse.

After many false winks by me, Serial killer Slasher, to other members, trying to get Zoosks attention,
They dropped me.
Thank god.

Every word of what I stated is true.
I have the screen shots and will share/ post them, if requested.
Please contact me at anytime and help shut theses sick perverts down.

As depraved as California has become, there must be a law against
Exploitation of a minor.
There are other pictures of minors posted by Zoosk as well.
Who next, Shirley Temple? Obamas daughters?
Zoosk has crossed the line, with me, for the last time.
I'd like to see Child Protective Services seize all their files and padlock the door
In preparation for a shutdown of this " dating site".
It's the least they can do.

Zoosk is bad.
Zoosk is Evil.
Zoosk is sick.
Zoosk is a fraud/scam site unlike any others.

Enough of Zoosk.
Stay away.

Honestly this site is a joke because I had some really...
Honestly this site is a joke because I had some really creepy guys sending me messages and some of them were way younger or way older than my age and it seems that half of them also are looking for casual things which is what tells a lot of women they're seeking something of a sexual nature and not everyone is wanting to just meet people for sexual encounters. If that's the case go and set up a profile on Adultfriendfinder.com since that's where you can meet those for booty calls and god knows what. Then Zoosk want you to pay an outrageous fee(plus additional money just to activate your membership) for a membership. I saw a couple potential guys, but one was five years younger with a kid and the other was 8 years older with a kid. They seem to emphasize a lot of single parents which most arent even married most of them have baby mamas all over the place. How are any of these men going to be taken seriously if they present themselves like this? Customer service is a joke you think you're talking to an american... you're not I called them and some woman with an Indian accent answered the call and they're not helpful at all. You have no activation fee with EHarmony or Match.com just a simple membership fee that fits your budget. Im doing a trial and its a waste of time most of the guys on there have abandoned their profiles without officially deleting them so you're emailing dead and fake profiles. I honestly believe that Zoosk is deliberately creating profiles to get people to sign up dont waste your time. Tell anyone who will listen to go sign up for legitimate sites like EHarmony, Match.com, and Our Time(if you're 50+) at least you know they're for real and dont create profiles to draw people in.

They censor your profile
There is a lot NOT to like about Zoosk. Like any singles site out there Zoosk have lots of pictures. But here is what is a rip off:

1. If you edit your profile and put something in there that they do not like - I simply told people when I was canceling so we could figure out alternative way to keep in contact, I got an email saying "You profile has been accepted with minor changes." Well, the: minor" change was to totally eliminate what I put in my profile! They did this twice! So, censorship is alive and well at Zoosk even though it did NOT violate their terms f agreement.

2. They have the "Carousel" which is a series of pictures of potential partners. You either say you are interested or not. Problem is all they will show you is the picture. No location, nothing that would indicate they would be a match for you. You have to get "tokens" to do this. Then once you say you want to meet that person it costs you 30 tokens to actually see their profile. I can honestly ell you that 99% of the people they sent me lived at least 75 miles away.

3. When I complained to Zoosk about censoring my profile, they cancelled my subscription! They said I could still access my account for "free" although all I could do is see that people sent me messages. I could not rad anything or respond. Despite cancelling my membership when I looked at my account, they billed me for renewal for another month. When I wrote them complaining about charging me for a service they weren't providing me, they ignored my letter.

So, there are far better places to do business than Zoosk. To me their style of censorship and way of doing business, both when you have an issue with them, and taking you for a ride when actually using the site make this one of the worst online services!

Sucks, no one actually writes you
Back three years ago I used Zoosk to meet a nice woman. At that time, I wrote messages and about two or three times a week I'd get replies. In three months, I dated seven or eight women, and met one whom I'd end up living with for a while. To make a long story short, things between us didn't work out. She was suffering from depression and wouldn't do anything proactive to help and we went out separate ways.

So because it presented me a number of opportunities then, I figured it would be good to use it again.

Cisco K. Did a great job reviewing it. I'm going to basically repeat what he said.

I've been on for over a month now, and I've written messages to about 200 women. I'm fit, attractive, financially stable with a career love kids, have one teenaged son, love animals, I own a home and a car, and I'm clean cut with all my hair and teeth. Why have I not gotten a single response? I was teased with a couple women who "accepted my chat request", but Zoosk would never write me back. After the accepted chat request, I assumed they wanted to chat right then. I would write a short hello etc. and never would she answer!

I believe the majority of profiles are old and abandoned. They're left as decoys to entice people to join. I'm pissed because I purchased six months of this crap. I'm going to spread the word. It does this company no good to offer a service like this. If this keeps up, they will fail. The service is not good and I will never use Zoosk again. And others will catch on. That's the way consumers work. Word of mouth will prevail!
